I reached out to this company after another plumbing company recommended them. The original company was not able to unclog the tree roots from my main drain line. I immediately called Cutting Edge and I was going on 1+ day with no running water and a baby at home. Joe answered immediately, spoke with the other plumber, and was at my house within about 90 minutes. This was the day before Thanksgiving, so I really appreciated the timely response and service! Joe and his wife were friendly, professional, and really helpful. They were respectful of my home and carpet and wore masks inside at my preference. The cost was extremely reasonable. I cannot thank them enough or recommend them! Will definitely call again in the future for any plumbing/drain needs.

Easy to schedule and came out less than 24 hours after we called for an appointment. Brent came out and did a great job cleaning and inspecting our sewage line. The company and its' employees are friendly, fair, honest. and their pricing is reasonable. Highly recommend!

.My experience with Cutting Edge Sewer was excellent. The wax ring under my toilet melted and needed to be replaced. Kelly was Extreme.ly helpful on the phone. Got an appointment ASAP. The service Tech was on time, polite, and left my bathroom in better than he found it! The quoted price was what I paid and it was very reasonable. I highly recommend Cutting Edge Sewer.
Technician (Brett) was on-time, helpful and understanding. He did a water-jet on my sewer line that had been backing up, was able to blow that out for me and also gave me some helpful recommendations for a few other plumbing concerns I had. Great experience.

Joe was amazing! After having another company out who told me that they could not snake my mainline and they were going to have to replace EVERYTHING at a cost of $15000.00, Joe came out and cleaned it out perfectly! Joe showed me the camera after he was done and the roots were COMPLETLEY cleared! I can't rave enough about this company! I feel like the other company was trying to totally take advantage of my being a girl and not knowing anything about plumbing, it’s good to know there are still honest and good people out there! My neighbors late at night on Saturday had a clogged drain in the basement bathroom, they called me to help them (because it was later at night) and because no advertised 24/7 plumbers or drain specialist like Roto-Rooter would come out that night and help them, in fact, the earliest anyone would come out and take a look at their drain problem was Monday or Tuesday.
So I helped them clean the bathroom and bucket out all of the access water.
When I got home, after midnight, I called Cutting Edge Sewer and left a message with Joe on his cell phone.
The next morning, which was Sunday, Joe the owner called me back and told me that he could send someone buy noon, so I called my neighbor he contacted Joe and at about ten minutes before noon Chris, one of Joe's employees, arrived at my neighbors house.
Chris was very professional, efficient, and polite, Chris found the problem gave my neighbor an estimate of the repairs to remove the toilet and snake out all the drains.
My neighbor agreed to the amount for the repairs and Chris within a couple of hours had cleared all of the drains reinstalled the toilet and was packing up his tools.
As Chris was leaving he gave us business cards so we would now have a plumber that would come out 24/7 as advertise, and help us out of any future plumbing issues.

We had a back up in our basement drain! We called for service and within 30 minutes Dan showed up to our house! Dan was very knowledgeable and within 35 minutes of arrival, the problem was fix and he also explained what the problem was! He replaced our plug in the trap. Dan was also very aware of keeping our carpets cleaned and and very polite. The pricing was outstanding and I would highly recommend calling them for any sewer issues! I can say enough good things about Cutting Edge Sewer and Drain. Top notch company!!!

Chris called prior to arriving and arrived on time, promptly covering his feet before walking in the house. He assessed the situation and communicated with his supervisor to ensure he could continue though he couldn’t locate the access panel, which I appreciated. He also knocked before entering the room in which the master bathroom was located, which I don’t ever see. He was thorough in his work and checked all the places in which he believed the panel he as searching for would be located. All in all, great thorough work.

I have used Cutting Edge for 5 years for all my plumbing needs. They have always come through with quick service and quality work. Their prices are also hard to beat , and they stand by a year warranty on main line services. I highly recommend them for your next job.

Cutting Edge came to our rescue after multiple attempts to other companies. We received verbal assurances for next day services but laundry room was already flooded. At first Cutting Edge said they could come the following day and we located another company that would come first thing in the morning. We called to cancel our appointment with Cutting Edge and 25 minutes later received a call back from them stating they were able to get to our house in 45 minutes. Brett arrived, diagnosed the situation and resolved the problem. Amazing and grateful! Thanks for proof of excellence in business!

I had a bad clog in my old sewer pipes and called a few places that never got back to me which I always find very Bizzare that so many businesses don't want business. I finally called Cutting Edge and he answered the phone right away which was refreshing! Brett came out out right away and he spent the whole day there and part of the next day because it was so bad. They also had to bring in the jet and did not leave until they ran it out 150 ft and were sure that it was unclogged! Very Professional and fair pricing, I highly recommend these guys
Quick response but not the prices quoted online! $79 listed on line was actually $300 to clean a simple floor drain. Also charged an additional $249 to clean a laundry tub drain. This seems excessive since he is already on site and shouldn't be additional travel charges. And $195 to put a camera in the drain (camera charge seems reasonable). Also the tenant called the next morning saying he unplugged the water heater and forgot to plug it back in after he was done. I was not impressed and am not ready to recommend.

Stop searching and start calling Joe. One of the best authentic people I had the chance to work with recently.
Our construction company hired Joe come to pinpoint the clog underneath the foundation. Joe did not hesitate to answer texts and calls, and he even came back to help us. He took the shovel and started helping us find the clog which was within a foot of his mark in the direction that we did not dig.
The best part Joe didn't charge for the come back trip even though we offer to pay for it.

If I could give this company 10 stars I would. When I called, probably like most customers I was apprehensive as so many companies over charge and suggest things that don't need to be done but immediately Joe put me at ease explaining what he thought needed to be done and had a tech at my house within an hour. The tech was very friendly and explained everything before, while and after he was done. I am saving this number in my phone (obviously I hope I don't need it) but if I do Cutting Edge WILL be my call!

I randomly came across these guys and called them. Within hours Brett showed up, found the problem, and fixed it. He was friendly and knew he stuff. Highly recommend them!!
I hired this company to unclog my kitchen sink. I initially talked to Joe by phone and he told me they would guarantee to unclog my pipe, which turned out not to be true. Brett came to snake the pipe. He seemed nice and professional. He worked for 1.5 hours and could not fix my pipe. He charged me $300 for it and told me my pipe had corrosion that was preventing the snake to go through. (PS: I hired another company and that was not the case. The pipe was clogged due to thickened cooking oil.) He told me he would charge me $3800 to fix it. This was a high price, but it was in a reasonable range. So, I agreed for him to come back and fix the pipe. He came back with Joe, who sounded more like a slimy car salesman rather than a plumber. He changed his word and told me he was going to charge me $4800 instead of $3800 that Brett promised earlier. He also told me he was not going to clean up after he fixed the pipe and I was responsible to do it myself. In other words, after paying him almost $5000, I had to hire someone else to pour cement and fix the damage. That is just unacceptable. I have no idea how this company is still in business. They really need to get rid of Joe. Brett would do a much better job running the business.

EVERY SINGLE TIME! Our sewer always backs up on a Sunday. In SE MPLS the tree roots like to drink from our sewer pipe and we never plan ahead. We should learn by now and just schedule maintenance. But Brett has to the rescue on quite a few of our Sunday backups. He's kind, professional, and does a great job. Thanks again!

Called them around 7am, got a home visit at 11 and easily unclogged and opened my bathtub within the hour.
Paid this company over $600 to clear a sewage backup in December 2020, it is now January 2021 and the whole basement is flooded with sewage almost knee high (WAY worse than when I called them) and they refuse to offer any kind of warranty because we declined to pay extra for a camera in the line (we had this done previously and already know we have roots in the line so we declined). They left sewage sludge around the drain and did not do a very good job of cleaning up after the job. When I was asking questions (very nicely, not getting rude at all), trying to understand whey there was no warranty, the man got very snippy with me and stated it is industry standard to not provide a warranty in this situation. We can come back out but it would be a billable call.... with an attitude. That's what I got. Um.... no thanks.
The $600 I paid didn't even last 2 months. Rip off and would NEVER use this company again. I'm now sitting here waiting for Roto Rooter who I should have called in the first place, DOES offer a warranty and was appalled when I called and told them the other company refused to warranty their visit ONE MONTH ago.
Joe and Kelli were AMAZING at getting out to our house right away to unclog a toilet that our 7 year old had clogged. They are both amazing people and so is their company!
Excellent, prompt, professional and fairly priced servicing. They will be my go to people for any drain issues from now on. Brett was extremely friendly and professional. They were life savers when my mainline flooded my basement.

The last time I had a main line back up I called Roto Reuters. They charged 50% more and did a less thorough job. I got a price quote immediately over the phone. They honored the quote and didn't try to pull any fast ones. Excellent service, I will recommend to any friends or family that are in need of drain cleaning services. I had a floor drain that was overflowing every time I did laundry and decided to call Cutting Edge Sewer & Drain and they were very prompt and were at my house in less then 45 min. The technician was very polite and professional . They cleaned the area that they work in with no mess behind . If your looking for great service and friendly people call Cutting Edge Sewer & Drain . Prices are easy on the pockets than there competitors for the same service ....save yourself money go with best.!!!!

I requested their services on 7/21 and paid $364 that included $69.00 for service call and the difference for whatever services they performed. on 7/30 I got drainage problem again and called them as i was told they will come back if the drain issue comes back. Chris, came back to told me this is not the issue he worked on last time he was here but the toilet is clogged. I asked him since it is a drainage issue, is it covered, he replied no it is not. I said fine. he left and his boss, Joe texted me and started threatening me and harassing me that i owe him via text and will not accept my call. I told him I don't think I owe him as it was the same problem. He told me he is going to take me to court and subpoena my tenants if I do not pay his $165.60 for the service call. I asked him to please send me the invoice and I will use my resources to determine if i owe him I will pay. he kept on saying You owe me and you will pay. I found it very unprofessional and threatening as a client. I am confused that the first time he will charge me $69.00 for service call and this time he wants $165.60. not sure what has changed. I am brining this to the community to be the judge and help me resolve this. Please stay away from them and make sure you don't give them your personal cell otherwise they will keep threatening you. I have the text messages saved if someone would like to see the proof. Now Joe, wants me to remove the review because he does not want people to see how he treats the clients. please refer to screen shot.

Cutting Edge has been coming out to our house annually for the past 3 years to clear our main line, they make the experience painless. They arrive at their scheduled time, every time, and we find them to be affordably priced. They offer a very convenient preventative maintenance service.
This is a necessary service for our house on account of our tree roots - but it feels rare to have a company exceed in both customer service and value, and prior to working with Cutting Edge, we had bad experiences with another company.
Working with them gave us peace of mind this fall, and we look forward to relying on Cutting Edge in the years ahead.

We had an plugged main sewer drain that flooded a few times in the laundry room but we had to call after it went into the hallway. We called Cutting Edge Sewer & Drain at 8 AM and they said they could have someone come about 11AM. They had a plumber in our area and he was able to help at 8:30AM. They are kind, kept us in the loop, well priced and I trust their work! The drain hasn’t plugged since.
Worked out an agreement with Joe and happy with the situation.
Not happy 24/7 I laugh. We spent a load of $ to fix our toilet...only now the toilet leaks and still doesn't flush...we have been waiting almost 2 hours for their 24/7 service.

Basement had a clogged sewer pipe that was backing up that we noticed last night. Called this morning and they were out the same day. Straightforward pricing, great service, and very helpful! Will use them again if we need to.
Brett came over within an hour of my calling even though it wasn't an emergency call. Within minutes he had identified the source of the clog. It wasn't an easy situation at least for DIY. I had given it a college try but it just required the work of a professional. Not only did he fix the clog- which was a massive hairball tucked behind the pipes under the bath that my snake couldn't reach but he helped me better understand the problem, showed how I could better access it in the future, and removed unnecessary components no longer needed that were slowing the water, so it is better than before. Great service, fast and effective.

I had a basement drain backing up into the laundry room. I called several plumbers in the area and their quoted prices were, in my opinion, unreasonable. I spoke with Cutting Edge, and their pricing was very fair - roughly half of the cost of their competitors. They arrived on-time, corrected the problem, and suggested ways to mitigate the issue going forward. I will, without a doubt, use Cutting Edge for any future issues with my home.
Had a floor drain backing up in basement and needed immediate service. Called a couple of the bigger names first but they were 1 to 2 days out. Called Cutting Edge and they were on site in 2 hours. Promptly cleaned out my drains and took care of my problem. It made a crummy situation pretty painless. Definitely recommend.

When my kitchen sink backed up I got estimates from several drain cleaning companies. Cutting Edge was the only one who gave me a price on the phone. The others came out and gave me estimates from $600 to $1500 for a job Cutting Edge did for me for their phone quoted estimate of $230! The technician Brett was professional, on time and gave me clear options. They earned my loyalty and business. I recommend them to do fair honest work.

We had been having a problem with our main drain for a while and I had enough of cleaning up the mess and trying to fix it myself, I had called a few places previous and no one could fit us in to their schedule and I happened to google plumbers in the area one last time before I called someone to start digging and Cutting Edge came up on the screen, at first I was a little worried we were to far out but she answered the phone and from the moment they took my call they were professional and had someone out by 10 am. Very satisfied and would recommend them to everyone. The plumber that came out was very polite and knew what he was doing.

Completely saved us this morning with a severely clogged toilet. He was at our place within 12 minutes, and quickly and efficiently fixed the issue (which included removing the toilet and putting it back on!). Joe was the dude, and was extremely professional and nice. Would highly recommend.

I was told by another plumber that I was going to need to dig up my yard and pay $6,000 to clean out a few small roots in my main line. I called Cutting Edge for a second opinion. They showed up within an hour and told me they could simply cut it out for $395. What a life saver!
DO NOT USE Twin Cities Rooter, they are a bunch of Scam artists! They came in to clean the line for $95, use and undersized blade that leaves part of the root and tell you that you need to get a camera in there. Then they see that the small blade didn't get anything and claim you need to dig up 10' of your yard to cut in a cleanout so they can rake two directions to clean it out!? Thank goodness Cutting Edge Sewer & Drain was honest!

If I could give 10 stars I would! I tried having roto rotor come out to help clean my drains and they were no help and told me I'd need to call a plumber. Umm, what? Isn't drain cleaning your specialty? Went on the community page looking for a plumber and was given Kelli's number. She answered the first time I called and was able to set me up with next day help. She broke down all the pricing and was extremely helpful. The technician came out the next day, on time, and again was extremely helpful. I was not home but he called me and walked me thru everything he was going to do and how much it would cost and explained everything in detail to me. I will 100% be using this company anytime I have any plumbing needs, and you should too!

The owner Joe personally came out and took care of the issue and suggested how to resolve my root issue in the pipe!!

Had my drain unclogged by this company 2/2016. He was the first drain company that not only didn't charge me a ton, but ALSO the first that was able to clear my drain and have it actually last a decent amount of time! Prior to using this company I kept having to get the same drain unclogged every couple months! Our drain clogged again (after over 2 years since the last time) earlier today and I have been searching all day trying to find the name of this company so that I could have them come again! I obviously recommend this company hands down! :-)
We've used them on two occasions and are far better than the others that we've used. They are responsive, timely and Joe and his employees are courteous and do a great job. Prices are a bit steep but they align with the industry so it seems fair. I highly recommend them.

we had a main drain back up into our house. Cutting edge responded to our call very quickly. After trying to clear the line it was determined that a high pressure hose was needed. Within minutes the truck arrived, blew out the line and all was good. I can't thank them enough for their fast service and expertise. I will be using them for any future needs and highly recommend them to anyone.

We had a sewer backup and we had called several places and were having a hard a time getting them to call us back. We called Cutting Edge and they responded to our call right away. They came out that afternoon and cleared out the frozen sewer pipe. After 3 days without sewer or drains the customer service was awesome, they listened to us and our problem and promised they would help us that day... no matter what. Thanks Joe !!
We had a severely clogged bath drain in our home (built in 1871). Joe came out, I show him the problem, he did a 15 minute assessment and walked me through the problem and what work needed to be done. Job successfully completed, no mess, fair price! He also suggested ways to avoid future problems. A+ for Cutting Edge!
After having our utility drain back up for the third time in a year we needed to get someone out here who knew what they're doing to actually fix the issue and not bandaid it. We found cutting edge on the next door app. I called late afternoon and Chris was out early the next morning. Chris was friendly, clean, and efficient with the repair. Turns out a bunch of tree roots were the culprit. I definitely know who to call when/if we have drain issues again! Thanks guys!
We had a video inspection of our septic line, was told by Joe that it showed roots in line. Based on those results we had a company come and dig up line and found that there were no roots in line, and pipe was not compromised in any way!!! Beware!!'
Great Experience!! We called with a backed up mainline and bathroom drain and they came out in less than two hours. They fixed the problem for a reasonable price and explained pricing before going ahead. We definitely recommend!!! Excellent service and very professional.

Search no further--Cutting Edge is far and away the most affordable drain cleaner in the area, for the best value. Having called most of the outfits in the area, I found that Cutting Edge was both willing to quote me a straightforward fee--and that it was far and away the most affordable in the area.
I've since dealt with them multiple times, and they've always been very courteous and professional. Furthermore, the ONLY reason I've had to see them more than once is because I didn't go with their initial recommendation; after doing so (at what was still a very reasonable price), my long-standing drain issues are finally resolved. I give them my strongest endorsement--you'd be silly to go with anyone else.

Today I had my main sewer line cleaned out with this company, the Cutting Edge Sewer n Drain. The first time I used their services, and I, for sure, will be keeping their number around for any future plumbing needs. Chris was very professional from beginning to end. It was obvious that he had experience! Got the job done in a reasonable amount of time and at a fair price. Was very satisfied with the whole situation. Very responsive and made it out the next day, but was very price. Would work with again if in a pinch, but there are companies out there more competitively priced.

We have used Cutting Edge Sewer and Drain twice for our main sewer in our South Mpls home. The first time we had our main sewer back up and they were able to come out within 24 hours. The tech was great and talked us through the process and let us know what was wrong and what we could do in the future to prevent backups again. We called on them again 9 months later to do preventative maintenance and again we had great service. They called to let us know they were on the way. When they got to our house they were friendly and prompt. They left our space the way they found it. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends or family!

Cutting Edge has been cleaning out our sewer line for the last six years or so. They are always prompt, professional, and pleasant to work with. Most importantly, our basement has not flooded with sewage since we started to use them for annual cleanings!

Please call this company for your plumbing concerns. Chris arrived within the time predicted, assessed the situation professionally and thoroughly explained what his intent was to fix the drain issue plus the costs involved. Ultimately it was discovered a frozen pipe was the culprit. Again, before he began the process to remove the ice, all procedures and costs were reviewed for me. Thank you Chris.
I hired cutting edge sewer to do a sewer line test and then install two toilets based on their advice. The owner Joe and his staff did a great install and I love the toilet and seat they said I should have. I never thought I would love a toilet. It works great and looks nice.
One of the toilets had an issue and Cutting Edge Sewer was very pro active after my call and they came out. They fixed what needed to be done and left my home looking cleaner than when they came. Thanks Cutting Edge Sewer for taking such good care of me and my plumbing needs.

Joe was awesome!!! He came out right away (litterally) and fixed our Plumbing issue in no time at all!! He's professional and proficient but on a honest &personal level!!! Cannot recommend highly enough! Will never call any other plumbing company again!!!
-25 degrees, frozen kitchen drain pipe Arrgh! Called Cutting Edge about 8am and by 1230 the Tech, Brett was at my home. He was very careful to use shoe and equipment covers, was very polite and explained everything he was doing. He found an 8 blockage and quickly took care of it.
I would strongly recommend Cutting Edge, I will use them again for any drain issues.

Call these guys if you have a problem. They came out for an emergency main drain unclog on Sunday. Joe did a great job unclogging the drain, explaining the source of the problem and preventative maintenance.
