I have known for the past 4 years I needed to do something about my sewer lateral for my duplex and wanted to be proactive. I have seen camera images over the years of the lateral, I saw the roots and off-set clay pipes plus i was getting backups about once a year. I knew from research I was going to have it relined and I started to call the few plumbers that do the work in the MIlwaukee area. I came across Sewer Ninja's in my searches and they offered me the best price. I liked them even more after the work began, they coordinated with my tenant and they sent my videos of the work before and after. There was also a question about a buried downspout and they did the research to determine where that was discharging. I would recommend them to anyone considering this for their home.

We had a plumbing emergency at 2am on a Sunday during the week between Christmas and New Year's. I called 10 places with 24/7 emergency lines for immediate assistance. Most didn't return my call, some were rude, unwilling or unable to come quickly, or had unfair emergency service prices. I spoke to the Hartlaub emergency line and Jeff called me shortly thereafter and was ready to warm up his truck and head right over. He was friendly and knowledgeable and provided us with great service in the quick time frame we needed. The price was extremely fair and was clear upfront. Next time we have a plumbing emergency, we will just call Hartlaub right away.

Did the work as needed. Not very clear on rates, fishy quoting and fee schedule (i.e. non existent).

Snaked a clogged drain for $175 which he quoted up front (excessive if you ask me, but oh well, I accepted). THEN found an issue with a pipe being rusted... everything was torn down, it needed to be repaired... nowhere for me to go really, then said the whole job would be $375 (that is $200 to replace the rusted pipe). When I questioned him about how long it would take him and how much he was charging me per hour, he immediately adjusted and said he'd charge me $300 (notice, he NEVER told me how much he charged per hour)... 20 (TWENTY) Minutes later he was done. He charged me $125 for parts & labor to replace a rusted pipe (which would have been $200 if I hadn't asked what his hourly rate was), and got bend out of shape and offended when I asked him to detail it in the invoice.

He was here a total of 50 minutes and charged me $300. Lawyers charge less and you get a full hour!

WILL NEVER USE AGAIN EVEN IF MY PLUMBING BURST OPEN AND HE'S THE LAST SURVIVING PLUMBER IN ALL OF THE METRO MILWAUKEE AREA.

I did not use them since they didn't answer phone. but they did call back within 20 minutes.

I agree with Sonnys review. They were at my house for 40 minutes, and charged 90minutes and also showed up 45 minutes and only called 30 minutes after scheduled time to tell me on their way. There's a 50 dollar travel fee, and they double bill you for travel time in addition to that fee. He also told me there wasn't a gas leak though had entire family over to smell gas and WE energies detected it. They do not use up to date techniques (WE had a device to measure gas, this guy had some soap/bubbles and his nose and refused to believe me that there was a leak... it was a SLOW leak), since have had leaky valve replaced by a reputable company.

I have worked with JM Brennan on many projects and their dedication to customer service is top notch! They have developed a culture at their organization that is second to none in the Mechanical Contractor space. Their prices are fair and transparent and the staff does a great job of presenting the appropriate sense of urgency!

He cleared the drain and my bank account. 🙄

He was late.

The hourly clock went from when he pulled up, till my card was swiped, even though he didn't start immediately, he didn't even get out for a bit. I was also charged the hourly rate for asking about bids for new work (where I come from, discussion of new work and bids is NOT charged, WTH!), and charged the time to writeup the bill, which took like 10 minutes ! I was charged a trip charge, an outrageously high hourly rate, AND an extra charge for the sewer auger thing, which is equipment essential for a drain clearing call, it really shouldn't have been extra.

The work was good, but not fast. 2.5 hours to clear ONE drain, that's really long!. $541! Ridiculously expensive!

In the past 3 years since moving to this area, we’ve used Bohmann Plumbing exclusively (after being unsatisfied with 2 other plumbers). Brian knows his business well, is prompt in responding and on time, reasonable rates, and is courteous. Seriously recommend him.

I used Dr. Plumber in the passes but this time I was not happy with the results . I had a leak in my downstairs powder room that they repaired a while ago, they changed the insides out with new products and I have the old style floater ball in three toilets that were changed ! I was happy with that! But then they change the hose to a plastic or rubber white one when I had all chrome or stainless steel tubing as he corrected me! The helper complained about the make of my toilets and made me feel bad, and made little comment about the handle and stuff!
I have an opened concept house and with his work boots he walked through my formal living room instead of the family room we’re I have very light beige carpeting. He never wiped his feet! . He had tools and parts he took off the first floor powered room ! I complained about the white tubing I thought they would replace it with the same shiny chrome or stainless steel he corrected me on again! I complained and the owner came to the house slamming my entrance door because I complained from the garage several times and all my pictures on the walls ended up messed up from that it got worst ! He yelled raising his voice at me he would change the tubing but with his attitude he also walked through my formal living room with his dirty boots on a light beige carpet pounding his feet up the stair case to the other two bathrooms and told me I didn’t know what I was talking about! He yelled that he would change out the tubing but his manner was deteriorating quickly. Anyway I told him to leave because he was saying he would change them out but wouldn’t guarantee them if they leaked ! So now I am afraid that he would have done a lousy job if he did change them out! So I asked him to leave and again slammed my door so hard on the way out! Not what I expected ! Bad attitude. Out of this make sure you pick the right plumber and don’t say anything because this what happens! It cost me $511.00 the inside material in the tank was 14.99 x 3 on Amazon ! Same parts! Not a good situation at all! My husband is sick sitting in the family room just out of the hospital while this man yells at me! No respect at all ! Just terrible!
