We just moved to Kansas City and bought a 100 year old house that we knew had some repairs. Connelly has helped us very quickly clear our drains when they clogged and installed an outdoor spigot for our hose. They have been incredibly responsive, professional, and explained everything so we know exactly what’s going on. We eventually need to do a large replacement, and they’ve given us quotes without pressuring us to do it right away, even helping us understand how to avoid problems until we do. We’re so glad we decided to choose a small, local company. Nothing but good experiences on their three service calls so far! I would recommend them to anyone.

Had multiple plumbing issues that we'd been putting off in the house until my own attempts to reseat a toilet resulted in cracking the original flange. Called up Mike after seeing some nice reviews on social media in our neighborhood and am EXTREMELY glad we did.
Mike is exceptionally professional and experienced and came by to diagnose water flow/leak issues in two bathroom showers, and completely remounted one toilet while making another run like new.
The first night following his repairs, my wife said it felt like we had moved into a new house!
Mike specializes in tankless water heater installation and also gave a very thorough cost/benefit analysis and explained our tank/tankless options to replace a 24 year old water heater we need to have replaced as well.
Plumbers are never cheap, but in the case of Mike and Bristol Plumbing, we immediately felt like our check was money well spent.

Bill Fry is AMAZING!! We were told by another company that we wouldn't be able to install a second hot water heater. Bill looked at it, not only said we could, but had it installed so quickly!! We have a large family and having a second hot water heater has been life changing!! Bill and his team were prompt, professional, and much less expensive than other plumbers. I trust him completely with all my plumbing needs!

Poelma Plumbing and Construction have done fascia, cement walkway, retaining wall, sod, and other repairs along with plumbing for me. They are dependable. When they give you his work days, he is there working on those days. He takes pride in his work and in doing it right. His prices are fair and he keeps the work place neat. I would highly recommend Mark Poelma for you construction, remodel and plumbing needs.

I have had Poor John's both do both large and small jobs; my experience has consistently been that they are prompt, courteous, have reasonable prices (frequently below those of the national firms) and do very high-quality work. They work with customers in ordering parts and supplies to get the best value. We need many more tradespeople like the folks at Poor John's in this area. Always glad to take business to local firms, I am thrilled to have found such a competent and trustworthy one. As a senior citizen who prefers to keep expenditures local when possible, I am certain Poor John's will receive all my plumbing business!
Update 6/6/22: Poor John's is 5-star again; got my drain running after a basement flood, got the water heater started again, and offered sound guidance for future steps. Prices remain reasonable even in a period where inflation is getting to us all. Highly recommend!

John is phenomenal. He has completed numerous plumbing projects and fixed so many issues that arose when we bought our house. Toilets, garbage disposal, faucets, unclogging drains etc. He’s done a lot for us. I highly recommend using him for any of your plumbing needs and his pricing is great also.

Short Version: I encourage you to do a little more research and think twice before choosing True Blue. One suggestion is to use someone like Anthony Plumbing who will cost more but at least you can take comfort in knowing it's done right, by highly qualified installers, and they provide 24/7 support. Most importantly, you'll know their owner won't say, tell her it's not that cold out tonight so they'll be fine. What it meant we were without heat or hot water for 18 hours because ATMOS Energy said the gas leak from their installation was so bad they had to shut off gas to the house.Long Version: While doing your due diligence researching companies before making a costly decision, you'll do like I did and read as many reviews as you can. Unfortunately, you'll find examples of unhappy customers everywhere and consider True Blue's overall rating high enough so you'll think it will be fine. You likely save a little money with them, but you could also end up in the situation we're now in after a new tankless hot water heater installation. After the installation, the True Blue plumber told my wife there might be a little condensation but nothing significant. However, as soon as the first person took a shower, there was a significant flow of water which was pooling back into our wall. The installer installed the drainpipe as a single PVC pipe straight down next to the wall instead of taking it to the floor drain. Of course, the result was water backing up into the framing of the wall. At that point, we asked for someone more qualified to come out and take a look at his work, and take the drain tube to the floor drain. At that point it obviously wasn't a big deal and we thought we had peace of mind because they sent out their master plumber to inspect the work. However, 9 days later we now have strong smell in our basement, and Atmos quickly found what they called, a significant gas leak from where True Blue rerouted our gas line. Unfortunately, the leak was too significant, and they had to shut it off for the entire house. All of this is exacerbated by the fact it's a Saturday and True Blue doesn't provide 24/7 support. Because this is such a significant issue, the owner is called and I've already provided his response. Bottom line, no one's perfect, mistakes happen, and stuff breaks but for me it's always about how someone responds in those situation which defines who they are as a company.
