Matt was on time and diagnosed and fixed my problem. I had frozen pipes. He had to find where the problem was, a job in itself! He was able to use the heat gun and get the water running again. He also went to Home Depot and bought supplies to protect the pipes most prone to freezing. He was on my job 3 hours and gave me a very reasonable rate for what he did, time it took, etc!

Yesterday, I came home from being out of town to see that my basement had partially flooded due to a clean water main break on the opposite side of my foundation's wall. I called 3 companies, which provided me 3 timeframes for service: 30 days out, 3 days, and a 3-hour window the next day. Overnight, the flow of the stream had increased, and I couldn't wait any longer for assistance. Thankfully, Sean returned a call I made to them last night, and informed me he could get a technician to my house sooner, and I gladly accepted. Trent arrived within minutes, inspected the problem, and stated the leak could be fixed without tearing apart both my lawn and porch. The only issue that remained was cost, which was an estimate I couldn't afford to pay immediately because of our current social situation. He completely understood, and offered to call another reputable company that offered financing. I was absolutely impressed and shocked by his professionalism, along with his willingness to call a competitor to see if they could help me. Trent's immediate knowledge of easily conquering the leak instantly, increased my trust to have him take ownership of the leak instead of someone else. Inevitably, I only chose the competition based on his personal recommendation, experience, and their ability to finance services. Ultimately, I highly recommend Trent, Sean, and the Better Services team for any services you need to have fixed. We need more people who exhibit their professionalism in our world, today.

Dexter, the technician, was great! He was very friendly and got the job done! We were quoted thousands of dollars for a more complicated solution to fix our washer drain from another company. Dexter fixed the drain in under an hour basically for free!

We we noticed an issue with a small amount of water near a basement drain. Of course I called Better Service. Dexter was on a job so they sent another plumber. Dan was equalky proficient as Dexter. Explaining the pipe issues and snaking the drain on a Friday night! I have to say he didn’t look like a plumber! He looked like a rock star! Dan was professional, knowledgeable and personable. He told his wife Kobee coached him on how he was dressed. Spot on! My husband always asks how we got so lucky to find this company! They deliver great customer service. They all do! Thank you!!

It's July 3rd and my septic backed up into my basement last night. I was afraid I wouldn't get someone good to snake my line today due to the 4th of July holiday. I am SO happy I called Better Service and thrilled Dexter was the one they sent. He not only fixed the problem, he thoroughly cleaned up and was so sweet, easy to work with and professional. He told us we needed a part and that we could get it at one of the big box stores. When he was finishing up, he showed me that he replaced the part- saving me a trip and the time to try and find it! Amazing customer service. I saved his name and Better Service number in my phone and will not hesitate- nor should you- to use them again.

Carrie, John and Christopher made me feel valued and went above and beyond to get our furnace in running condition so we wouldn’t be reliant on space heaters and extra layers of clothes!!! The first service tech was great. Courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. The service tech that actually installed the water heater was arrogant, left a pipe disconnected when he turned the water back on causing water to spray on the closet walls and wood floor. He did not wipe up the water on the floor or the walls. He left the cover off the water meter in the yard. The owner of the company contacted me since the posting of this review. They apologized for the above issues and assured me the matters would be discussed with the second tech that did the install. They were genuinely caring about the service I received. I would use this company again because they do care about the work their employees do! I am very satisfied with the company and how they resolved the problems.

Finding a professional that works on boiler systems can be difficult these days and I am so glad I found Sean from Better Service. Sean is knowledgeable, professional and very kind. Melissa, who answered the phone was very helpful and so nice as well. I would highly recommend this company, actually I already have.

Brian evaluated my HVAC after we found the AC is not cooling the home. We have a refrigerant leak and some mechanical issues. Thankfully a home warranty exists and the recommended solution to replace the unit is going to happen before the heat of the summer intensifies. Great work, professional, explained everything.

I wouldn’t be able to go to sleep tonight without making this review about the service I received today from Dan at Better Service INC. It’s currently 11:15 pm on March 6, 2023.

As a home owner, we all have that small little fear of the day when sewage water back flows into your basement, bathtub and out of your toilet. Ugh, that was me this past weekend! After waiting a few days for my homeowners warranty to assign me a plumber. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Better Services Inc was handling my nightmare of a plumbing problem. I had called them first thing in the morning. Mainly because, they had me scheduled to wait another day for services. I was informed that they were booked solid but would see what they could do to get me faster service. I can honestly say, I waited with fingers crossed hoping I would be able to take a decent shower by the end of the day. And sure enough, my phone was ringing a few hours later. Dan was an hour away and hand been working on a current job, he assured me with such a professional and confident tone that he would be able to solve my plumbing issue.

When he arrived, I was surprised to see a smiling, business button down shirt, with jeans and boots on a PLUMBER who had been working all day. Dan came in, introduced himself and went right to work. He analyzed where and how the pipes were running through my walls to determine where the clog could be causing the back flow. Once determined with constant communication and clarity. He went right to work. He worked very thoroughly. He was completely friendly and made sure to communicate and double check the plumbing lines in my four story three full bathroom house. Within the hour……water was flowing, toilets were flushing and no BACK FLOW was flowing back into the tub or toilet. He also cleaned what ever it was he accidentally dirty.

Long story short……..I am a happy home owner again with no fear of an un-welcomed sewage problem re-entering my home.

Our home warranty company assigned Better Service to come out and fix our furnace; it was blowing room-temperature air. We called them at 8:15pm that night, and they were out to our home by 10am the next morning (even though the estimated time was 11am-1pm). Andy was our serviceman and he was able to quickly diagnose that there was an issue with our circuit board. Not only that, but he made several calls to find a new circuit board, and then drove all the way out to Lenexa (45 mins away from our house) to get it, and then came all the way back to our house again to install it same day!
The heat has been running perfectly ever since! We were very impressed with this company!
The only downside is their website and Google says their hours are 24/7, but I tried texting and calling the numbers the night we found out our furnace had an issue and did not hear back til the next day. If they have actual business hours, those need to be listed. We have a young child and really needed the heat back on the first night we called! Other than that, very very pleased with our experience!

Dexter came over to fix the plumbing I had in my sink. He went above and beyond for my family. He got the job done. I waited almost a year with HWA but Dexter at Better Service was quick and reliable. I will continue to use Better Service for future events. I just do not recommend using HWA (Home Warranty of America) as your home insurance. They took almost a year to get someone out here. And 20-30 calls later I finally got the job done. Sean, company owner, was diagnosing a plumbing issue when our AC unit quit working. He pinpointed the problem, ECM module that controlled the blower malfunctioned. He ordered the replacement part that was covered by the manufacturer's warranty and had an employee, Blake, install the new ECM after hours. First time I have used them and won't be the last. Highly recommend

Better Service Inc. was great from the start. Everyone was polite and professional. Technician Joey Crowe continued that professionalism the office started. Arrived on time and was ready to roll replacing my antique water heater. Standup guy and had no issue answering my questions.

Dan came by at 9 pm and fixed our main drain through our toilet. Very friendly and professional.

They have already been to my house twice to fix my hot water heater and they were supposed to be out a third time last night and didn't show up. Called and said they would be here today between 10 and noon and AGAIN did not show up. We haven't had hot water for almost two weeks now and it's the dead of winter. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Also have to call them at least 7 times before they answer.

AC was blowing warm air and our house got up close to 90. Called Better Service after hours and they were able to send someone out the next day. Brian showed up on time, got right to work, diagnosed our capacitor needed replaced, and had our AC up and running swiftly at an affordable price. Great companies are made up of great people and Better Services has incredible people! We called Bob Hamilton because I thought my problem was a simple one and the prices would be similar. I was given a quote of over $5k for what turned out to be a broken water heater and decided I should do some research to find a competing bid. I came across tons of positive reviews for Better Services, and when they showed up on time to give me a quote I quickly saw why they have so many positive reviews. Trent was our technician, he was professional, highly competent and quickly diagnosed our issue. He suggested some options to save us money instead of installing a larger hot water heater like I asked for, gave me a quote that was competitive and did the install the same day. He was very patient in explaining things to me, interacting with my young kids running around and cleaned up when he was done. We ended up having a question about the operation of our hot water heater and Trent came back the next day in the evening and stayed for several hours until 9 PM to help troubleshoot and ultimately make an adjustment to the hot water heater.

Trent and Better Services go above and beyond in their service, do fantastic work and have competitive prices- I cannot recommend them enough!!

We were given an appointment quickly for a non-emergency plumbing problem. I am finally wrapping up this shower project, but we did have Better Service Inc install the plumbing prior to tiling, etc. Initially Better Service sent one of their employees they claimed was a skilled plumber... turns out he was an HVAC technician that maybe had some knowledge of shower fixtures. I'll let the photos speak for themselves though.

This was clearly unacceptable, I ended up having to do some minor fixes to the valves in my own shower (the valve you screw your shower head into was not braced at all, it just flopped over), but the guest shower (which is what the pictures are of) was completely untenable. Their employee sent these pictures of this job after he had completed it, and apparently they were fine with this until I called to tell them that this absolutely wouldn't work, and then there was the bathtub: it was full of debris, metal shavings, and new deep scratches - he did not cover his workspace.

Eventually I managed to have them send a proper plumber to fix the installation issues, and that part seems to work for the moment. He was also supposed to 'fix' the huge amount of scratches left in the tub by the last employee. While his attempt was appreciated, the two-part epoxy from Home Depot cannot fix what was done (although he didn't even apply it correctly).

I was told that they would 'work with me' to fix the tub and scratches they left me with, but that never happened, as I haven't heard from them again since the 2nd plumber did his work.

It's ironic that this company chose Better Service as their name. We used this company for multiple installs. They left so many things unfinished and continuously ignored my requests to come check a brand new unit they installed that never worked. It was over 2 months of trying to get someone out here to fix the unit that they installed before I had to bite the bullet and hire another company to fix something that they messed up. What kind of company runs thermostat wires to the unit and then shoves them in the box without hooking them up? I do not recommend...
