My husband contacted Allied Plumbing on 1/17/2020 and spoke to Sherry to schedule plumbing service for 1/20/2020 as we are replacing a tub/shower combo with a shower. Sherry stated someone would be out between 8am-12pm, but would call him when someone was in route to our home. My husband took the day off work to be available for when the plumber arrived. Sherry called him at 11:46am to inform him that the ticket had been lost and she requested to reschedule for the following
day 1/21/2020. My husband asked if there was anyway they could come during the afternoon or evening of 1/20/2020. Sherry agreed to have someone out by 3pm. At 2 pm I called Sherry and I was told someone would be out between 3pm and 4pm. She explained that it would be his last call of the day since he lives in the direction of our home. The two employees of Allied Plumbing did not arrive until 4:53pm. My husband and I explained that all we needed was to raise the shower head, replace the shower valve and raise it and that we had already measured for the drain which is already in the correct spot, but would need to have the drain converted from a tub drain to a shower drain (existing PVC is 2 inches). At 4:58 they returned to their vehicle to write up a quote. At 5:07 they returned with a quote of $1909.00. I struggled to understand how what we had requested would amount to $1909.00. The entire area was prepped with new vapor barrier installed, level floor, studs exposed, and existing hole for plumbing work in concrete slab. Wesley explained that the quote was for them to provide us with a finished product which would include installing the shower kit, shower trim and drain we purchased, (the only item we did not already have purchased is the delta 1700 series shower valve). I explained that we did not ask for a quote for them to install everything, but simply to only address the plumbing in regards to the drain, raising the shower head and changing and raising the valve. Wesley then stated that by us installing the shower walls ourselves it would only save us $200. Meaning the quote for the plumbing and base installation would amount to $1709.00. I was never given a quote for what I requested which was just to raise the shower head, replace and raise the valve, and fix the drain connection. I asked when they would be able to come out to do the work and was given the vague answer of sometime this week. Wesley and Jesus left at 5:13 pm after charging me a $55.00 service fee. I know Allied Plumbing charges $55.00 service fee and fully expected to pay it and schedule them to meet our plumbing needs at the earliest available time. However, Allied Plumbing arrived 4 hours and 53 minutes late and failed to provide a quote for what I requested. Never once did Allied Plumbing apologize for the inconvenience of not arriving during the scheduled time or even close to the scheduled time.

WE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL EARLY AFTERNOON INDICATING A PLUMBER WAS READY AND COULD BE DISPATCHED.

$200 was for the wall surround kit. The remaining $1709.00 still included the cost for unrequested shower base installation and for concrete demolition (drain remained in the same location and existing (approx.) 11in x 10in hole in the slab exposing plumbing from drain to wall including p-trap). Despite explaining not wanting a turn-key product and our intent to install the kit including cutting the hole with our hole saw, I WAS NOT GIVEN A QUOTE FOR THE PLUMBING ONLY.

I was NEVER told that I could be scheduled as soon as I was ready.

The owner reached out to me 1/24/2020 to apologize for the dispatching error and inform me the $55.00 service charge had been refunded. We continue to disagree on the quote that was provided, but hope Jamie will improve the quoting process and learn from this experience.

I selected Allied Plumbing due to the reviews on google and the BBB. I am sharing my experience for other potential customers to make an informed decision.

They came out quickly on Easter with no extra charge to help us with our overflowing sewer line in the basement. They made a terrible situation go away fast.

I found Eli online with no prior experience with him or anyone else. Eli was responsive (came over same day I called after hours), was proactive, honest and solved what turned out to be a more complex kitchen sink/dishwasher issue given a poor prior plumbing job. He worked tirelessly (well into the night) to make sure that the job was complete, and followed-up multiple times with check-ins and suggestions on how to upkeep the dishwasher. His pricing was more than fair and I would absolutely trust Eli for all my plumbing needs.

Carlos was great! Very knowledgeable about what he does and does not mind answering your questions. He fixed the problem I had with my toilet and diagnosed and told me my issue with my shower and fixed it too!!! He was on time, prices are very reasonable and did a great job. Miguel and his crew did a fantastic job repiping all of our water supply pipes with Uponor pex (2.5 bathroom + kitchen/laundry), replacing our hose bibs & a shower head, as well as repairing the damaged drywall / stucco. Even our city inspector admired their plumbing work. I highly recommend them.

One month ago I had my biggest nightmare so far as a home owner - the ghostly sound of water moving through the pipes with no faucets open. Through experimentation I isolated the leak to a hot water pipe. The worst news came from a leak finder service -the leak was in the concrete slab. All options were bad - reroute one pipe through several rooms/outside, break open the floor and jackhammer the foundation, or reroute all of our pipes. Our house is only 30 years old and has all copper pipes but, given there had been a previous leak in our home as well as our neighbor's identical home, we decided to go with a whole home repiping.

I got 5 quotes for repiping and I chose Miguel because:
- High attention to detail, such as finding pipe routes / other small details that would minimize home damage and determining supplies and methods used (pipes, pipe sizing, connectors, hose bibs) that would set us up well for the long term. He backs this up with a lifetime workmanship guarantee.
- Easiest to communicate with.
- Could get it done sooner (~1 week after contract signing) than other crews.
- Has his own skilled crew of licensed plumbers, doesn't subcontract.

IMO, when you're doing major house surgery, you have to trust the person you're working with as you just can't be on top of 100% of what's happening. Miguel wasn't the cheapest quote, but there were good reasons for that and he worked with me on the price.

For the job itself, Miguel was there every day. It took 2 days (day 1 repiping, day 2 drywall) as well as a couple of small visits for permits. Both crews were able to accommodate my small requests as they came up day of around plumbing and patching. The pictures below show the care Miguel & team took with my home (see the ET-like covering of everything with plastic), the quality supplies they used, as well as the excellence of the finished job both in plumbing and drywall. The city inspector was pleased with the work and signed off immediately.

All of my water fixtures are now working perfectly and the drywall is an exact match for the texture of the existing walls. Now just to get some paint and finish up! I am so happy this nightmare has come to an end.

Joe has been my plumber for many years. Initially he was contracted via Mogastone when when we upgraded our kitchen counter tops. He has replaced our water heaters twice and recently took time out of his day to help me troubleshoot over the phone an issue with our pipes under our kitchen sink. He even helped us diagnose and fix a small leak in our walls that was causing mushrooms to grown in our dining room! Last but not least, he is just one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I strongly recommend his plumbing services.

Good communication with the office and their repairman Keith Walker was very professional and did a great job.

We had a clogged kitchen sink drain. Emailed for appointment at 4pm on Thursday, guys were early Friday morning. Clog was too deep for first cable tried, had to go pick up a longer length. fast efficient project with double checking to make sure clog was cleared.

The work these guys did for me was great! Called me 15 minutes ahead of time to let me know they were on their way, and showed up in a timely manner. They handled my problem quickly and professionally, and at a very reasonable price. I will definetly call them in the future for any plumbing problems I may have!!
