We recently completed a full tear-out kitchen and master bath replacement with Homework Remodels in our mid-century home (built 1957). It was the second major project on which we engaged Steve Shinn and company. The first was about ten years ago for an addition to our home that added an office/bedroom, laundry room, garage extension, new roof, painting and changes to front and rear patios.

Doing such an extensive project that involved all trades gave us the opportunity to really get to know Steve, the quality of work from his team, and the way he runs his business. Needless to say, we were very satisfied and had no hesitation calling Homework Remodels for this latest project.

We were very pleased to see that Steve was not only still in business following the recession that clobbered so many local companies, but actually had grown his business over that time. Knowing that Steve takes a long-term approach to managing his business, and having seen his dedication to customer satisfaction, we were not surprised to see that Homework Remodels flourished. We had uncertainties about other contracting firms, so we went with the one we knew and with whom we already had a good experience. We had confidence in Homework Remodels, so it was a pretty easy decision.

One of the changes we found, that was of great value to us, is that Steve now had an in-house designer, Sheila, whose experience and expertise was obvious from our first meeting. It made tackling such a large project a much more comfortable experience. Sheila provided a lot of information on materials, fixtures, and design, and told us where to find more on our own.

The Homework team provided guidance every step of the way and did a great job. I would recommend them for their quality of work and great customer service.

We searched several individuals and companies to find TWD had a price that seemed more reasonable than others. Additionally, both Maria, who did all of the drywall repairs, some being rather tricky, and Javier, who did the painting, were sensational. They came on time, called beforehand, were respectful of the property and did a stellar job on everything! We could not be more pleased. When I called to ask for Maria for the 4th day in a row and learned that someone else was coming, I requested Maria remain as she knew exactly what was left to do: I was listened to! Holtzman Home Improvement was one of three contractors that I reviewed before making a choice for my bathroom remodel. This was my first experience with remodeling and Grace and Brandon and the team were excellent in keeping me grounded and on track throughout the whole experience. There were a few hick ups but all in all the work went well everyone was professional and it was done in time for Thanksgiving with the family.
I will be using them again for the kitchen remodel in the future.

Easy to communicate and very empathetic to the remodel. They not only managed my issues with bad weather and a whole load of old bathroom issues, but was open to working through the issues with patience and grace. I was a little pessimistic regarding this type of walk-in shower remodel with my older home - but found true artists of their skill. I'm not easily impressed but this time… Absolutely!! After Ben did a fantastic job remodeling our daughter's kitchen, we hired him to remodel our kitchen and great room. This project involved removing a fireplace as well as some walls, and replacing floor tile throughout. Ben was easy to work with and highly dependable. He coordinated with our kitchen designer and communicated with us every step of the way. We were very pleased with Ben and hope to hire him again in the future.

Tino and Nino did an amazing job installing my parents’ quartz countertops! Clean seams and caulking. Very professional and timely. I would absolutely hire them on for my own home renovations. Tony was great about coming in and going over the estimate and expectations as well.

We hired Praveen and his team to do a ton of repairs on the outside of our house as well as our stucco fence and paint our house. They also did a lot of stucco repair on our house and fence. They did a phenomenal job. They had a very tight deadline to work with and as we were planning a party and needed everything completed before then. They were on time, very professional and did an excellent job!

As a subcontractor it's great to work with people that have a knowledgeable staff!

Met with this company at the Home & Garden show on a Sunday and scheduled a consultation/estimate for Thursday that same week. Received a call on Wednesday saying they wouldn't be able to make it for Thursday and then rescheduled for the following Monday at 9am. They ended-up no-showing. No call. No email. No follow up. Never heard back from these people, which is a good thing because if there work is anything like their communication, it would have been a waste of time and money with the end result. I would never trust this company to do anything with my home considering how unprofessional they are.

Stronghold was one of the best if not the best home contractor that I've ever worked with. Trevor was attentive and communicative, always available when we had questions or concerns. He offered suggestions when we decided to change directions during the project consultation and was able to offer design services to help us bring the project off the way we had imagined. The quality of his work was excellent, and you could tell by the level of detail that he took pride in his work. We will be using Stronghold Remodeling again!

We used Atelier507 to remodel the tiling of our master bathroom shower, add a niche, and update the water fixtures. Throughout the entire process, they were very responsive, provided 3D renderings of what the final look would be and would update the renderings for any detail we want to add/remove/adjust. Atelier507 also provided progress photos during and after the project. They did an excellent job and were very professional. We are very satisfied with the final look of our shower. I highly recommend using them!

They were very professional and helpful during the remodel. We had a small problem but they corrected it to our satisfaction and followed up to make sure we were happy. Would recommend to others AA+++

Beware. Poor workmanship. Failure to pull permit on gas line because we believed they lied on placing the gas lines. Terrible customer service from president and his second in control -Jay W. Many sleepless nights. 3 month delay. Overcharged for kitchen cabinet materials that were not custom and lied to us. Fired them after failure to complete project and they took us to arbitration. Still in dispute. Please avoid. I am not even sure their reviews are real customers and recent reviews I think were removed. We are aware of other unhappy customers. Stay Away!!

We used Handyman Connection to install a large multi-pane sliding glass door. We’d experienced a lot of delay and run-around with other contractors and the project had been left incomplete for months. The moment I met with Greg H. I felt reassured. I’m picky but he seemed more picky than I was. Greg was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He delivered quality service, excellent craftsmanship, and a reasonable price. I’d highly recommend Handyman Connection and especially Greg H.

The crew worked diligently and completed the 3 bathroom remodels a day early. Very pleased with the new look and craftsmanship quality.

You don't EVER want to do business with these people. From integrity and honesty in the contracting and change order process (FAIL); to the scheduling and actually producing people to do work on schedule (Massive FAIL); to actually producing the schedule that they promise in their advertising but never produced until I complained about it, and then never came close to meeting (FAIL); to simple competence in translating their promises into drawings and contract language (FAIL), to the ability to perform the work with anything that looked like pride of workmanship, attention to detail, or even minimal competence (Massive FAIL as evidenced by the plumber who installed shower heads at a height lower than my head, and a bathtub that is leaking on and probably *under* our floor right now); to the price gouging for change orders to do what they promised to do in the first place (we said we would remove that soffit, but if you want that to look like it was done right and not leave a big scar across your ceiling, that will be a change order and more money -- another FAIL); to the screwed up master bathroom that left me paying for an entire slab of very expensive Azul Bahia granite from which we got a single lavatory countertop, and cabinets with a Frankenstein patch (big FAIL); to the claim that we would save money by purchasing through RWR at contractor's prices (another FAIL -- it took me one email to Spencer's Appliances to get the kitchen appliances for less money than RWR offered, and a couple of emails to Papagno's to discover that we were being gouged on the granite countertops); to the lack of respect for my property (including drywall mud inside a brand new thermostat for a brand-new $20,000 air conditioning system, damage to a glass pest border even after I warned them of the risk and offered to have it removed and replaced after their work was done -- no need for that, they said, and then ruined it with sloppy stucco work on the side of the house and breaking the glass under the front door); the list goes on and on. The substandard work was only corrected if and when I caught it and complained about it -- for just one example, they installed a medicine cabinet and broke the glass during the install. They turned the house over to me with the medicine cabinet broken, and didn't say a word about it. That's the way they operated and dealt with me from start to finish. When we have recovered from this experience, I'm going to have to hire another company to come back and fix the master bathroom so that we get plumbing that doesn't leak, and a room that actually looks like what we wanted. We didn't get that from these people. You don't EVER want to do business with Republic West Remodeling.

Garth and staff were excellent. They went above and beyond to make our kitchen gorgeous! They were able to repair our dog chewed corners, replace a water damaged pony wall and had an amazing granite guy to do our counter tops. If anything wasn’t to our satisfaction Garth immediately addressed the issue and fixed it.

I'm trying to get a quote. But got hung up on. Not a good experience.
