We've just wrapped up four days of service with the folks at Heart, and wow - we have just been uniformly impressed by the entire team! I'm worried now that I won't remember everyone - as there were lots of people here at our home, sometimes three or four vans full. We had decided a while back to take advantage of President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act and do our part in bettering the climate for our grandchildren and beyond. To that end, Cody visited with us initially - laying out options for a heat pump install. That conversation gave us such confidence that we decided to cancel two other estimates and get started with Heart. Our initial project quickly evolved into a much bigger electrification project - led by the intrepid Corey and Ethan - including upgrading our 150 amp box to 200 amps, making our hot tub connection safe, completely re-wiring every outlet in our home with tamper-proof receptacles, and installing an EV charger in our garage for the day when we can buy an electric vehicle of some kind. Steve and others helped to modify our ductwork in the furnace room, allowing us to keep our high-efficiency furnace but installing a Bosch inverter and heat pump. We are total fans of Heart now. The notion that we are members of a larger family that really does care about quality, integrity and hard work is important to us - and Heart delivers. If we could change one thing about our experience, it would have been that there would have been more consistency in terms of the work crew. Some of the guys were there throughout or close to it - and mentioned already - but because our project took longer than projected, there were new faces a few of the days, and we hoped that the communication from one crew to the next was sound. Nothing about the experience made us doubt that - it was just something that concerned us initially. We have a number of future projects ahead of us - install a heat pump water heater, for instance - and we'll call Heart and no one else. The membership services that were part of our deal were second to none - and will help this DIY wannabe to feel like people with way more skills and experience have our backs when we're out of our league. Lastly - we really appreciate the sustainability focus of Heart's finance partner, Good Leap. Anyway - it's important to us that we recognize by name the team of folks that did such an incredible job - and I'll return to this post tomorrow after I've called the office for the list of folks to thank publicly. Until then - thanks again, Heart, for such a rewarding experience!Adding on here - thanks to John and Durvish, who completed some custom drywall to finish up a couple of aspects of the heat vents/thermostat placement. Both were friendly and competent. Thanks!

Recently we decided to sell our house which required updating issues related to the electrical system. The first estimate was outrageous, so we called Absolute Electrical and they were willing to work with us. They were honest, thorough, and the estimate was great. We would recommend Absolute to anyone who wants to be treated fairly.

The woman I spoke with by phone helped me set up service at a convenient time and for a reasonable price. Dean the electrician, was very helpful and informative with his diagnostic of what needed to be done and was efficient in completing the repairs. He told us of other upgrades we might consider due to our old system for safety and efficiency.

For this experience I had David here for the 3rd time for maintenance on our AC. He is incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. With David I know everything is done correctly. I also ask for him because he is also sweet with our dogs and they too think he is awesome. I also had Jeff here for the first time and he took out and installed a new water heater. He too was thorough and competent and cleaned everything up so you couldn't even tell someone had done work in our basement. He did fantastic work!

T.L.D.R.: Avoid this company like the plague.
I never write bad reviews - in fact this is the first one I've ever written.
I reached out to AAARK because my realtor recommended them and they had decent reviews online. I cannot believe how seemingly incompetent this company is. Whenever their technicians come to my home, my issues get worse.
I first used them to replace my disposal and a few corroded pipes going into my hot water heater. Nothing was wrong with the hot water heater, it worked fine, it was just that the pipes looked somewhat corroded on the outside.
While that was happening, I was in contact with their HVAC specialists because the top floor of my home does not get any heat or AC. Initially, I was told, no problem we'll just upgrade your HVAC with a bigger unit. This happened right before COVID. This seems suspect to me, because the issue is that one vent in our house lets all the cool out and none of the others do. I contacted the HVAC person again after COVID had died down a bit, wondering could this possibly be a duct issue? A different HVAC specialist came by this time and looked around my whole house. This time, they said oh no your ductwork can't handle the upgraded HVAC, we'll need to put booster fans in. I think great, that sounds pretty reasonable. The tech then talks to the supervisor who informs him that despite this, in fact, my ductwork cannot handle the booster fans either and that the only course of action is to replace all the ductwork in my home. I'm slightly taken aback, but ask for a proposal and we can go from there. I receive no proposal. I contact the original HVAC guy again for a proposal. I receive no proposal. I'm literally trying to give these people my money and cannot.
Circling back to the plumbing work, I noticed that immediately after the pipes in the hot water heater were done, we had no hot water pressure. This was irritating, but the initial claim was that all their work was guaranteed up to a year after service. The work was done right before COVID started, so I again waited until COVID died down to restart this process. A new technician comes over because the old on was no longer with them and when I tell the new tech (who I think is a part owner in the company) he looks at me like the other tech never worked there. The new technician tells me he can't figure out what's going on, but it seems like there is a clog in the hot water intake. I'm thinking, ok fix it, your work screwed it up. Nope - I'm told that either we'll have to replace the boiler entirely or we'll need to get the intake fixed at cost. They told me they would take the cost of the original work off of a new boiler. How nice! The technician tells me they will send me a proposal in the morning. I receive no proposal. I'm literally trying to give these people my money and cannot. Wouldn't you know, after this latest technician left, the pilot light wasn't turned back on and now will not turn on, so I'm sitting here without any hot water at all.
Rest assured AAARK, I will not be giving you my money, you don't have to worry about me continuing to try. You've convinced me that my tendency to assume the best or for some reason keep trying despite things getting worse every time someone comes to my home is the wrong approach. What a joke.

I recently purchased a new home and of course, the furnace went out on a freezing cold night. I went into the crawl space to try and fix the furnace myself, but that was hopeless. I contacted Frank in the morning and he responded to my home the same day. (an hour actually). After a short while my furnace was running again and supplying heat to the home. He explained to me the age of the furnace, pilot light, wiring, was extremely old (30-40 years) and I will need a new one soon. Even though I needed a quick fix today, I will contact Frank in the future when I am ready to install a new furnace in the home.

Jaime Rodriguez was perfect. He was clean, thorough, and clear about what the issue was. He gave me not only specific information about what he did and why, but he explained to me what I would need to do for a longer term fix. While the total charge felt expensive, it was easy to accept. Good trades professionals are very difficult to come by. By good I mean professionals (like Jaime) who call before they come within a given window, ask to be shown the system, provide and stick to pricing before they begin work, have tricks to get around issues that inexperienced people can't, come with all the needed equipment, are polite and focused, as well as support local business by asking for and eating at local restaurants. I also use Applewood for my furnace. My experience with that was exactly the same. I highly recommend this company.

I'm a designer and hired SJO to install a multi-pendant light in a stairwell. I emailed a picture of the pattern for pendants with dimensions of the height and said if there were any questions I was happy to clarify. They showed up at the job and the electrician seemed to have not seen the picture or description I sent at all. I resent the picture and said I was happy to talk to to them if they had questions.
They installed a completely different layout from what I had then sent over twice.
Now they are saying that they won't go back to fix the layout unless we pay the same amount of the original install.
I have used SJO in the past but will no longer be using them in the future. It's disappointing that there was no communication through this entire process and then they are unwilling to work together to get this fixed.

I had an outdoor faucet which would not turn off. Dave Godfrey came to my rescue and fixed my problem. Dave was very courteous and friendly and was an absolute joy to have at my home. If I ever have need of a plumber again I will definitely call and request Dave to perform the job and will not settle for anyone else. Dave provides the kind of customer service that companies used to provide. The whole experience felt like I was interacting with a friend.

I wish I could give Domonique and his team ten stars! Their high level of professionalism and expertise was only eclipsed by their positivity and high regard for Blue Sky. These guys clearly not only know what they're doing, but also enjoy doing it. I signed up for the Blue Sky family plan, because it just makes sense. And it has already saved me cents too!

Last summer my air conditioner went out and Carlos Luna and his associate Brandon installed a new one for me. Carlos explained in detail what size air conditioner I would need to cool my home. This year when I went to turn the air conditioner on, I was having difficulty getting it to start up. I called and asked if Carlos was available and he was sent to my home. Carlos went through my AC system step by step checking a variety of things to make sure each was in good working order. Carlos walked me through these steps and explained what he was doing. He said these steps can help a homeowner pinpoint a problem if the AC will not turn on. This additional guidance and support was greatly appreciated by me and my family as it was an extremely hot day and we had just arrived home from being out of town. i know Carlos was finished with his regular day and should have been on his way home, but he still took the time to stop by and make certain my AC was in good working order and was not malfunctioning.Carlos was the ultimate professional, was very polite and accommodating and is why I asked for him to be sent to my home again.
