Quick and to the point

I've had to use poormans twice recently both times I've had a hvac service technician out the same day. They both did a good job. They answered all my questions and were friendly.

FYI they do not get into small crawl spaces, even though I got in there to lay plastic and cardboard down for them. Took a half of a day off of work to be there for the repair only for Tony to tell me he is claustrophobic and he couldn’t do the repair.

Rude and mean for absolutely no reason.

HCE is the worst company I've ever worked with. I could write a book with everything that happened with them, but I'll try and keep it short. Our AC stopped working so we went to HCE to get a new one. At the time, they also had a deal of getting a furnace for free. When they came the first time, they tore out our old ac and furnace. The furnace was in good working condition but old. After 24 hours, they had to come back out because the AC wasn't keeping up (ran all day without cooling our home). At the 48 hour mark, I noticed that the return air lines weren't put back on the new unit. THEY DID NOT DO THEIR JOB CORRECTLY! So they sent another tech out to fix that. However, it still wasn't keeping up. They ended up coming back to our house 6 times as the techs could not figure out why it wasn't working correctly. Also, their trained techs were NOT the ones who realized that the returns were not put on. It was ME who is not trained in Heating and Air. The Sale Manager, Chad, and the GM, Gary, came out on the 7th trip. I asked Gary if I could see the building permit, which should have been placed on day 1, but he said he didn't have a copy but I could look online and find it. I called the building dep. a few days later and they informed me that HCE did NOT apply for the permit until the day I asked the GM about it which would have been over a week after they first put the unit in our home. I also asked for a copy of our contract, but Gary said he could not give that to me either as I had to wait 6 weeks after installment to get it. (THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GIVE ME A CONTRACT BUT THEY DID NOT.)At this point I was fed up. The unit wasn't working correctly and the techs were useless. On the 8th day, I tried to contact the GM, Gary, but my calls went right to voicemail each time. I then had my wife call the SAME number and he answered. HE HAD BLOCKED MY NUMBER! During that call, I told him to remove their equipment, return my old WORKING furnace or give me money for taking the working unit, and give us a refund. Then we made a plan for them to come back out. After they did come out and gOt the furnace and ac, they also took things they shouldn't have. When I called back, it took them a few days return my calls. They also HAD NOT returned our money during this time. It took them OVER a week for them to return our money. Mind you, they only gave us the refund and nothing more. They refused to give me money for my lost time at work, the value of the furnace, or money for taking items they should not have removed. I will NEVER use them again and hopefully this will keep you from using them either!

All around great service, from scheduling the apt to the tech that came out. I would call them again!

We had our furnace die in the middle of a very cold week. We called Korte and they immediately sent Brandon to help us out. After many hours of doing what he could, he explained that we needed a new furnace, which we were expecting as the furnace was very old. Brandon was very through in his explanation of the problems and was extremely courteous and helpful. within an hour Korte sent Jerry Yoder, our sales rep to discuss a new furnace. He showed us several options, explain the benefits of each one. Once chosen, he got this book for the very next day. Korte brought us heaters to use because of the extreme cold, an extra nice thing we didn't expect. Greg B and Nolan came first thing the next morning and got right to work. With expertise they explained everything they were doing and then when the work was completed, explained how we were to use the thermostat. All personal we encountered right down to the dispatch caller were top notch... friendly, helpful and courteous. I can't say enough good about Korte as a company and about the exceptional staff they have working for them.

The service manager Kurt was great to work with and puts customer service first.
