Peterman Brothers installed a brand new water heater. The gentleman that installed the heater had lots of difficulty getting heater down into basement and installing once down there. Our brand new heater that cost 3k has dents and scratches all over it because of the installer. I asked the installer if he needed any help or needed me to move anything else to make his job easier. He said he would be fine and never asked for help or any assistance, which apparently he needed. I was home the whole time.

The poor condition that the heater was left in was unacceptable. We were certain that they would install a new one. We were never concerned with the functionality of the heater but disturbed by the poor condition is was left in after installation. The installer could not even take the old water heater away. Two employees came a day later and picked up the old one. When they showed up and I showed them the condition the new one was left in, they were certain we would get a new one installed.
After contacting Petermans to get new one installed. They denied request and offered 1k off. I would never run a business and leave a new product installed in bad condition. Never was I concerned with the functionality of the new heater but disturbed by the poor condition it was installed. I'm sure if I lived on Dupont Rd or somewhere nicer and complained more, they would've replaced it no problem. I don't care how much I spend, I should receive a new heater in new condition. Not all scratched up and dented by the installer. Dissapointed in the installer and the customer service following. The pics shown is the new water heater, not the old one!!

Poor business! Terrible customer service!!! Use other HVAC Companies!!! They say family owned small business but don’t care about the other small business in Fort Wayne or surrounding areas! I called in to get a quote on an AC unit and they asked for who I told them it was a rental. They then asked how many I own (which is none of their business). Since I own more than 5 units they won’t service me. This is a single family home! I asked why they said it is their “rule”. Apparently they don’t wanna help other businesses. I would never recommend them and I will cost them thousands of dollars in Business and referrals. What a poor ran company. Redman was bought by them who I used in the past. Redman would never treat customers like that.

The staff is nice but Prices are never cheaper than other quotes for services. I have the subscription for semi annual checks and today a guy came out, used our hose to clean off the a/c then left the hoses out. He detached the side hose, attached it to the backyard hose and left the hoses and the sprayers by the a/c. He could have easily put the hoses back where he found them before leaving. Overall Petermans has not been a great experience. I will be cancelling my subscription and looking at other companies.

Peterman brothers heating and air. The tech showed up earlier than expected but I rather them be early than late. This is the 2nd time this year I’ve used them. The initial calls are handled by friendly and accommodating front line staff.
The Technicians were very helpful and took care of my needs and questions like real pros. Signed me up for a monthly program 16.00 a month, no contract and my charge today was 16.00 and on top of that my A/C is working great.

I was so impressed with Tyreese that did the maintenance. He explained everything to me that was going on. He let me know that I had the cleanest air in the neighborhood because of the things I had on my system. I appreciated him telling me why I needed to get my air ducts cleaned. I had WIIL, MATTHEW & KEYLIN come to my house to clean my vents. These three were professional, polite, hard working and AMAZING! I would highly recommend them if you need your vents cleaned. It was good to know what I was doing wrong an fix it

I have struggled for the last 7 days with communication, follow-up, and misleading information. I had a salesperson come out last Tuesday and he said as long as I got back to him before 7PM he could get me on the schedule for installation the next day (Wednesday, as guaranteed). All afternoon and evening he did not respond to emails or calls as I tried to confirm an order and get on the schedule. I called the main number a little before 7 to try that route and they said basically they needed to touch base with the salesperson. I never heard back that evening. In the morning, I got a call from a different salesperson who said they heard I wanted to get scheduled for installation the next day (now would be Thursday). I told them I really wanted to be on the schedule today (Wednesday), so he said he would try to figure it out and get back to me. I did not hear from him for six hours. Then, the originally salesperson called me at about 3PM and said they could get me on the schedule for tomorrow (Thursday), BUT that I needed to schedule an electrician to update a breaker to a double 20. He assured me it was a simple job, but that they did not have electricians in the Fort Wayne area, so I was on my own essentially. I started calling around and could not get an electrician scheduled for a week with the first three places I tried, so I tried contacting the salesperson to postpone, but they did not answer. So I called the main number and postponed install. I also was considering going with another company at this point. But then I kept calling a few more electricians and got one who was able to come out on Friday morning (paying a surcharge for short notice) and so I got back on the Peterman schedule for Friday. Installation took about 10 hours (last four hours was troubleshooting). Woke up Saturday and the brand new heat pump system was completely off. The wet alarm had been tripped. So I called Saturday morning morning and they said the best they could do was Tuesday. So at this point, I've gone from being guaranteed installation on Wednesday of the previous week (advertising says if they can't do it, you get $500), to the following Tuesday. I told them I needed this appointment to be after 12PM because I had a medical appointment that morning and they said of course. On Tuesday I get a call from my video doorbell at 10:30 from a technician at my house. They hadn't called ahead or anything, but just showed up an hour and a half early. AND they hadn't been told that the wet switch was the issue beforehand, even though I had definitely shared that information. I relayed the story to someone at the main Peterman number yesterday morning and they said they would pass it along to the Customer Experience team and someone would call me, but they didn't know how long it would take. I haven't heard from anyone yet. Needless to say, it's been a very frustrating experience. Here's to hoping the unit keeps working this time and that their follow-up service included in my purchase (2 years), is smoother...

We had a slow water leak coming from the furnace. Peterman Brothers were able to make the service on the same day we called about the issue (5 Stars!!). The technician knew what to do to fix the issue and clearly explained what he had done (another 5 Stars). I am extremely satisified with the service and would recommend Peterman Brothers to anyone needing a new HVAC and/or service.

Grant from Peterman just made my Monday by fixing a really difficult clogged pipe in my bathroom. My house is old (1930s, so old pipes) and on a well and septic system, but he worked with care and managed to unblock the pipes anyway. Couldn’t be happier!

Showed up within acouple hours of calling them and got my AC fixed right up.

Eric was prompt, professional, and courteous. It was just an inspection, no work done. Based on the customer service, I would definitely use Peterman again, and recommend them to others.

I called Peterman for a second opinion from another plumber who said my water softener needed replacing. Peterman confirmed that the softener was just fine and waited the entire 90 minutes while the cycle completed to verify. While they waited, they checked the rest of my plumbing and found a few things wrong and were very thorough in showing me and being clear with their explanations. They got estimates to me right away. I'm very pleased with the service & wouldn't hesitate to hire them.

Contacted for a specific issue and service man visited our home. Unfortunately the service man left the system in worse condition than when he arrived, leaving covers off of piping and additional leaks. Would not recommend.

This was a plumbing checkup that members get for free. Blake drained the hot water heater, checked the pipes under the bathroom sink and under the kitchen sink. He went into the crawl space, which is hard to get to and is dirty, to check the pipes. He made sure to explain things clearly to me, asked if I had
any questions, and answered my questions very respectfully. He was extremely thorough in checking all the plumbing aspects and in communicating with me. He will be one that I ask for if plumbing repairs are necessary in the future.

Awesome company! We have had a wide range of services from Peterman Brothers, and all of them were awesome. Technicians are professional and on time. Basically zero time between quotes and install. Peterman’s came out for our annual check of our pipes. The guy was great and really explained a lot and was really nice. We had him change the cords on our washer from plastic to metal. He did this quick and seemed really good. After doing laundry I think they were put on the wrong temperature of water. As I did a cool load of laundry but when getting the clothes out you could tell the water is warm. I might need to have them back out to fix it. Also the dryer tube was not put back on when he pulled it out to get to the washer. I know they are little things but was frustrating. He was really a great guy and informative but is a little frustrating.

I was excited to use them. The salesman was wonderful. Very informative & knowledgeable. Could put the furnace in the next day. They came & then discovered asbestos. So long story short it only tested at 20%. Asbestos guy said it could be encapsulated. I called Peterman's 3 times to see if that would be acceptable. Talked to soneone each time but they never got back to me in 2 weeks. It was a rental property so I had to move on since we didn't get any answers. Ended up a new company said no removal needed. So.... we went with another company & it was a lot less expensive. Moral of the story...shop around!

We had a technician, Kari, who came out to our house for a second time (bless her) to fix a leak we had in our tub. Yet again she was so professional and personable and remained persistent with the annoying leak even though it was causing so many roadblocks. I'm certain the issue took much longer than she anticipated (our house is really old and we are bad at maintenance- we aren't helping the situation) but she remained so professional and kind and upbeat despite the assured frustrations.

She was able to show me how to use the new fixtures and was able to share what she was doing each time she tweaked a trial. I wish we could request her every time!

Have had both Jeff and Eric out to help us with fixing and financing new equipment as ours is 24 years old. This is the third company I have tried, and will stay with them, because they are beyond professional and caring and helpful. They are upfront with all prices, which, by the way are better than most places that I’ve seen. They gave me options instead of just telling me what they were going to have to do. Eric also looked at a couple other things that we were needing fixed and helped me out with those. I was really in a bind with our heating situation, and they came in and helped right when I needed it most! My family would definitely recommend this company to anybody and everybody!

Had Johnathon out to take a look at my hot water heater. First thing he said was how old is it. I went and got the manual it’s five years old he immediately started in to just get a new one it won’t last it will nickel and dime you. I said how much is a new one? Over 3000$ was what I was quoted for a new one! I said no that’s insane I said can you just fix it he started on again it’s prob electrical and will be broke again in a couple days. I said well what is wrong with it? He said I don’t know stood there for 15 mins then said the code is saying I need a new vapor sensor. I said ok how much is that? He said 250$ to replace a 25$ sensor I gave him his 85$ and was done. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone!

After a dreadful experience with finding out the furnace company we hired had sold to Peterman brothers we did not know what was going to happen next. After a call to Peterman brothers we realized we were in good hands. Not only did they match our previous quote they gave us a warranty better than we had been offered. Purchased furnace and air from Peterman Brothers 1/9/23 have had 5 service calls in 70 days, the furnace continues to shut down and displays blinking codes. Temperature was in the 20s Friday 3/17/23, I called them yet once again and they said they couldn't get to it until Monday 3/20/23. I asked what am I supposed to do for heat all weekend because Temps will be 20s and 30s, she said I don't know what to tell you it is 3pm Monday 3/20/23 and they will not return any of our calls or emails. They have blocked me and my wife from posting reviews and factual statements on their website and Facebook. Their contract reads Open door policy to talk to owners at anytime for any concern We can not reach them and they won't return our messages either. At this point we want their garbage out of our house. We spent $11,000 and this is what we get...... unacceptable...

My husband and I contacted Peterman yesterday to get an estimate for a leak under our kitchen sink and to have a garbage disposal replaced. They were able to get us in same day for a diagnostic evaluation when others had a week or more wait. Joshua Clement was the technician who came to the house and we could not have been happier to meet him. He was very professional, and extremely patient with us and answered all our questions, leaving us with absolutely no doubts whatsoever. After throughly explaining the required services and costs of the repairs, we were certain this was the company and technician for the job. Josh was able to get us scheduled for the very next day (today). He was here in the time frame provided, had everything he needed to do all the repairs, he was quick but obviously skilled, and everything turned out better than expected. Josh even spent just a couple minutes making sure everything was cleaned up and left our kitchen cleaner than when he arrived! Peterman Brothers is definitely the way to go for repairs, small or large!! Thanks again to Josh!

I experienced a broken water pipe in my crawl space and the water was not being pumped out. Jacob arrived and was eager to jump in the flooded crawl space to get the broken pipe repaired and have the water pumped out of the crawl space. Jacob is a fantastic technician and person. So thankful that he was the technician assigned to my house.

BEWARE!! The price is not as advertised, they added $100+ to get the machine down the stairs because the tech was too weak to hold the machine... the tech did not know when he was at the main drain, far from it, I believe this goes with experience, he seemed pretty new to the trade, he ran 50 ft of cable, 30ft of that was going across the pipe in the basement under the slab, the entire run to the main was 70ft (30ft under the slab), total of 100ft, essentially they only cleaned approximately 20ft of the outside sewer pipe. The only experienced person seemed to be the camera technician, other than he never provided a quote for replacing the main sewer. I would not use Peterman Brothers again, and would definitely not recommend them to anyone.

Company is too big, I got 2 quotes from them, one hvac tech and one plumber, the job needs to be done together (at the same time, each of the 2 guys needs a helper to feed lines through a wall. I want them to do it together thus eliminating the fee for two more people. Makes sense yes !!! Even to the techs it makes sense. I’ve already spent over $13,000 with them recently. The won’t let me talk to a supervisor, the operator cuts you off there.

They fraudulently ran a camera probe across the metal on my heat exchanger and tried convincing me it was a crack and not just a line left by their camera probe. Instead of cleaning and servicing my system, they just tried to sell me a new heat exchanger. The technician also had no idea how a heat pump works, but instead of finding out, tried convincing me I needed a new heat pump or possibly a new a/c all together… didn’t use informed knowledge, he tried using fear to get me to buy a product that I did not need. I had to have a different company come out to perform the maintenance that Peterman Brothers were on a service contract to perform but didn’t. Disgusting, vile, fraudulent, liars. Do not ever use this business

Never had an issue with any of their service guys, on time, always friendly, attentative, willing to answer even the most mundane of questions, and ready to put our minds at ease with any concerns.
Scheduling is a breeze, and they are always able to fit into our schedule, even if we have to change at short notice, and they won't burn a hole in your pocket with unnecessary costs.

They installed a sump pump, but it was faulty and the job was not completed as originally discussed. I called, and Peterman immediately sent out someone to correct the situation. It was obvious that they strived for professionalism and customer satisfaction. In a world where customer service is secondary, they put it first. I would (and will) use them again. Also, Drake was incredibly knowledgable and professional; I will request him for future jobs. He's a keeper.

Had a guy come to fix a leak under sink. When he looked under the sink he said he saw no leak even though there was a soaked towel underneath the sink. He then did not seem to know what he was doing and I had to tell him that it was probably the shut off valves. He told me they are about $40 and then I said replace them and then after he finished putting them in (he was only here for a hour and had a gold membership which gives a 15% discount and no inspection fee) he over charged us for the repair $410 without the membership it would have been around $490. We tried to contact the company to see where this money went and it seems that by not costing hourly they charge you a lot instead no matter the time. If you hire them be prepared to be overcharged and don’t expect any actual quotes.

Our family loves Peterman Brothers. The service and craftsmanship is top notch, and they charge reasonable rates. Most importantly, I trust them. After getting many quotes for a project, we went with Peterman and have been very happy.

Most recently, we had a plumber come out to fix our toilet. The problem was worse than originally expected, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a working toilet as if it were his own home.

I can’t say enough good things about them! We will continue to use them whenever we can!

We got a new heating and air system installed in January. End of February started having issues. We have had 5 service techs out with no resolve. The temperature this weekend was on the 20's. No phone call, no weekend service. Tried contacting them via Facebook. They have removed all of my comments, my husband's comments and even friends. Poor customer service!!!

This is a good quality business with amazing employees who are so caring and polite and get the job done. Between getting a new a/c and a new hvac system and all the maintenance and inspections they have performed, every single person that has came to my home from this company has been really truly amazing. I had a duct cleaning done a month or so ago done by Jack Hoederle. He is a really down to earth guy with a great sense of humor. I really appreciated how good and enthusiastic he was about the work he was doing. He even showed me videos and pictures of my before and after and some strange things that he found in my vents from previous owners! My ducts are now so clean and I can breathe alot better not to mention my allergies have cleared up alot.
Today I had Jeff Green at my house for a plumbing inspection and he was a delight! Super knowledgeable, thorough and a dog person! All around Great in my book thank you Peterman Brothers.

We had two electric switches replaced and one attic fan checked - will have Peterman install a new attic fan. Very efficient and professional service from electrician Tim G. Very happy with his work. Cost was reasonable.

New AC system installed today. It doesn’t work. Peterman did not make an expensive new system a same day priority. I have serious reservations about any further service experiences. My house is now 8 degrees hotter than before new system was installed. Customer service does not seem to the priority they claim on their commercials.

Had them come out for a quote. Instant fear tactics of everything wrong in my existing HVAC system (it had been serviced two years prior and works just fine) and bad acting to try and disparage and discredit my own homeownership decisions and other HVAC companies I have contacted. In the end, their quote was 3x the quote that I had in-hand already from Poormans, and I just about laughed them out of my house. In the end, they were fairly rude, and time-wasting individuals who stayed on my property parked in my driveway for 20 minutes after I asked them to leave, and made fools of themselves trying to scare a customer.

Steer clear is the summary. Very questionable business ethics and high pressure sales tactics when I was getting a quote for a new A/C and furnace (which I never actually received in writing). Chad seemed knowledgeable when looking at my current units, but when it came time to discuss options and pricing, that’s when it took a turn. They offer a “same day decision” discount, which is really “within the next minute decision discount” and if you say you want to take some time to think it over, be prepared to be treated with hostility for the rest of the appointment. I asked to see the numbers written down so I could compare with another quote, as many do (shop around), and then Chad started bashing the other company I was going to get another quote from, with accusations I already knew weren’t true because the other company does my annual maintenance. Not good business ethics. Be prepared if you do choose to get a quote from them.

Jesse and Blake did an install of furnace/AC—couldn’t recommend them more. Worked their tails off, knowledgeable and communicative throughout the process, placed adhesive plastic on the carpet to keep it clean, didn’t leave a trace that they had been here except for new units. This was the first time using Peterman (came highly recommended) and very pleased with how it all went.

Overall, a wonderful company. The appointment turnaround time was super fast! They were able to schedule my HVAC, and plumbing services on the same day. The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. The price point is great. My only negative remark was one technician used a decorative bathroom towl that I found afterwsrds on the floor wet, along with pieces of an old toilet part. Despite this I will continue to use this company.

We have been using Peterman's for our HVAC, electrical and plumbing inspections for a few years now. This past weekend our older water heater started leaking. Although they were not able to come on Saturday, ( We were able to stop the leaking temporarily) they were here first thing Monday morning to check things out, give an estimate for new system and schedule someone out same day.

I have mixed reviews about Peterman Brothers. Had about 7-8 quotes done from mostly local companies for new A/C & furnace install. Decided at the last minute to have Peterman's give us a quote, which they came out the next day on 5/23. Tanner was very professional and knowledgeable. His quote was on the higher side - probably the 2nd highest we had received. After going back & forth, we had decided on a different company.
On Fri, 5/26 I saw the 'Memorial Weekend Only offer of a free furnace with the purchase of an A/C. I contacted Tanner on Sat 5/27 of the holiday weekend to ask if our quote qualified. He said yes and then asked, how important is the 15-year parts and 15 labor warranty to us? Knowing that most other companies only have a 10-year parts and 1-year labor warranty, I told him it would be nice, but it's not super, super important to us. Tanner quickly emailed over a new quote with the furnace discount. It wasn't quite as much of a discount as I thought it'd be and the warranty was reduced to 10yr/1yr. I thanked him for trying, but said we were going to just go with our original choice because we could get a 16 SEER A/C, 2 stage furnace, humidifier and new thermostat for about or even less than the Peterman quote.
A short time later, Tanner said Bryce with his inside sales office would be contacting to give a better discount. I did not hear from Bryce until almost 5pm the next day, Sunday 5/28. He offered a discount, 14 SEER A/C, 2 stage furnace, 10-yr/10-yr warranty, humidifier and a thermostat if needed and a Tuesday 5/30 install - right before the heat hit 90's for the week. I specifically asked if our 22-year-old thermostat will work with the new system. He said yes, but if not, they will get us one. Again, after much discussion, we decided to go with Peterman's.
The next day, I emailed Tanner asking for him to have Bryce email a new quote with what was verbally discussed - I didn't want to call Bryce on the holiday.
Two young technicians arrived about 9:30am and worked until about 7pm - very nice young men. The installation took a little longer than expected due to a wiring issue to the furnace. We received a Bryant A/C & Furnace - good brand, but I thought it would be a bigger/quieter A/C unit considering our house is a 2700 sq ft, two-story house. Hindsight 20/20, now I feel like we got the cookie cutter of the Bryant brand because of the last minute Memorial Weekend offer and the fact that one room on the main floor doesn't feel very cool at times and the upstairs is naturally still warm. I guess I thought that was the point of looking at the property to make sure we have the proper system to cool the whole house. Oh and no new thermostat was installed, which I should have known that would be the case.
We paid in full the day of the installation and I asked if I would be getting a receipt showing that I paid and with all the warranty information. Was told yes on Tuesday. By the end of the week, I still had not been emailed my receipt/warranty information. I called Bryce, who said he'd have that recipient emailed. I inquired about ARHI certificates because on several of our other quotes, it stated Nipsco rebates/tax credit opportunities. He said he would reach out to Tanner to get this over to us. I also emailed Tanner a day or so later after my discussion with Bryce asking for all this important information.

Here it is today, just over a week after the installation and I still haven't received the new quote, recipient indicating paid in full or the certificates for the rebate. At this point, I now wish I had gone with a local company instead of the fastest growing HVAC company in Indiana. I feel like once they got the sale, the customer service dissipated.

Lesson learned - go with local companies who genuinely care about the customer and not just the sale.

Parker was our technician and he was the nicest and most efficient person we’ve had come out. Explained and suggested what we could do to have our system be more efficient. Like adding a surge protector to help if have storms like last night and coil band to protect the pvc pipe from clogging. Can’t say enough about Parker, he represented Peterman to the highest level.

The guys that came out to do an electrical house inspection were professional. They did, however, only check the items that were visible such as outlets but were fine with checking ones that I asked to be checked. Not sure how thorough this new inspection option is but I guess it can give you a sense of peace knowing a professional has given the all is good report.

Great service, great techs, glad we found them for our AC service!!

What a waste. Got a new furnace and A/C installed. First they put the wrong outside unit in. They left the Power wire just hanging down which is not safe. Then they put the drain tube in an open pipe. Even when they came back to put the correct ac in they left both that way. To top it off the furnace stopped working after not even 60 days. Called them to come fix It since was lied to about that also(when getting quote was told anyone can service as long as they are HVAC certified) and they said we are booked so we will be out Monday(3 days). Told them 2 kids and it is already 58 degrees in the house. All they had to say was well I dont make the board and I will put you on the cancelation list. Worst service, obviously not a great product. Go somewhere else.
