Michael B - had my drain cleared in less than 20 minutes. He was very professional and did not leave any mess. It was money well spent. I wish I had called this company first before I called another company that not only did not fix the problem but created a very dangerous disaster by pouring acid down my drain, which then backed up all over the floor. Lesson learned. You get what you pay for. I would highly recommend this company and Mike B. in particular!

Ryan Martin has been servicing our Kohler generator at least since 2016, and has done an excellent job. Highly recommend him. We basically have to do nothing to maintain the generator because of him.

Tom Lewis is amazing! He was able to clear a drain that two other companies were unable to clear. I will recommend Korte to all my friends and family.

I paid Korte $3800 for a job that has suddenly become almost 25K. They heard female and gave me the cost of replumbing the entire place vs making the repair I requested. I don't trust them and if you enjoy not being taken advantage of, you should get at least three estimates before you take their word for anything.UpDATE: I spoke with Adam and he is now telling me that they refunded 1/2 of the money because they saw that they would be unable to do the work I had hired them to do, and waited almost 4 months to let me know that they weren't going to do the job. If you need a hole dug 3 feet deep and 3 feet wide by 10 feet long, I can send someone over that will do it for $400 vs the $3800 that Adam ended up charging me. And they will finish the job vs Korte just leaving you hanging.

I called to have two circuit breakers replaced. Rudy J arrived and not only replaced the circuit breakers but analyzed the entire circuit making sure all the receptacles worked. He made sure the outdoor ones were not getting moisture in them. Rudy J just did an awesome job above and beyond my expectations.

Had lost all water due to bad well pump switch. Wiring to the switch also old and brittle. Plumber summoned Todd, whose solution was a clear improvement over existing wiring, and he handled the work quickly and carefully.

David and Nathan came over this morning for some light electrical work as well as trenching power for a new spa. They arrived early, worked hard, great quality, and even did their best to fix the ground that was disrupted for the trench. I didn't have anyone else quote the job so I can't speak to price/value; however, I would not want anyone else doing the work.

Septic tank alarm repair. Was able to come out same day tank alarm went off, and repaired it same day. He had the parts he needed in the truck!

Very happy with Mike B that came over to do my repair. Mike has done other repairs in my home and is always very professional and fair. However when I called to make an appointment the lady forgot to put my appointment in. Very disappointed there. However they waved the trip fee.

With this last storm we had two trees down our power line. Not only did it take the line to the ground, it broke the pipe off and exposed wire. Faven came out and walked with me around the area. He was polite and explained everything he planned to do. He then told me he would need to go get the parts. I was expecting hours later, that was not the case. He was expedient. He came back very fast and ready to tackle the project. He allowed me to hang out and explained what he was doing as he went. Faven did great work and it looks amazing. The cost was very good. I was expecting much more given the damage. I'm currently waiting on the power company to turn the power on. Which is humorous because it has taken longer to shut the power off and turn it back on than it took Korte and Faven to repair a complex issue. Thank you Korte and Faven.

Logan R was out to finish up work on a new gas line that wouldn't cooperate and traced a problem back to an old valve on part of the original line that failed. It was replaced and checked multiple times by Logan to ensure there would be no further issues. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly...we will recommend Korte every time!

I am very disappointed in this company. The salesman came into my house, saw that I was sick and a woman, and tried to take advantage of both by trying to sell me things and do things to my HVAC system that were unbelievably expensive, and unnecessary. Once he (Mike H) emailed my quote, I immediately wrote back that he should be ashamed of himself for trying to take advantage of me in my condition. Do yourself a favor and get your HVAC needs done by Ben Borschelt, of All Angles, Inc. He's reliable, knowledgeable, and will do everything to accommodate his customers, without gouging them.

I have been having a plumbing problem with my sons bathroom shower/tub for over 6 months. Had plenty of plumbers out and spent plenty of money trying to repair the problem. After cutting a whole in my ceiling, replacing all the trim kit, caulking, and paying many trip fees. James was the only one that figured it out. It was a simple fix of a gasket that was missing from the faucet. I liked how James talked through the problem and had a system of checks and balances that allowed him to figure it out in a timely manner. I came home from vacation and my AC was not working. Korte came out the next day and was able to fix the problem within the hour. They were kind, professional, earlier than expected, and even explained how to get to my AC filter in the attic so I could change it, myself, next time. The capacitor had gone out and the filter was way beyond time for changing. The electrical work seemed OK (though expensive) until the doorbell they replaced fell off the wall to hang by its wires. But the worst was the plumbing visit. I asked for 2 leaking outdoor faucets to be fixed. It cost $200 each to have them rebuilt. They never tested them with a hose attached, so when they left, I did. And they both still leaked! At the same spot! They also looked at my leaking upstairs shower which had stained a small area of ceiling below it. They attempted NO repair from the shower. Instead, they hacked a chunk of ceiling out and took it with them, so I could not use it to repair their hole. They claimed the piping job was so complex they would need to send someone else out to handle it. When he came, it was not to do the repair, but to sell me on the nearly $800 price tag he decided I could afford. I am old, but I felt I knew when I was being conned. I called a nearby plumbing company here in Leo, and it was less than half the price. And they did try the repair from inside the shower before going downstairs to replace the brass drain fixture. So if you like paying an excessive price for poor quality, this is the company for you. But do yourself a favor. Shop around.

they came in on time went thru several procedures to find the problem they didn't just come in and guess. They did an outstanding job, they were very friendly, honest, and had integrity. Some thing hard to find these days. Happy with the cost which was very well explained. these guys were like your buddies. And didn't leave until we (my wife and I) were completely satisfied with the work. I recommend korte does it all to the highest level. If you want it done right call these guys. they have my business for life,Amen brother.

I received a phone call first thing in the morning and Carlos was at my door within an hour. Carlos was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He figured out the problem, took care of some issues, and then guided me on my next steps for cleanup. I would recommend Korte and Carlos to anyone!

My service time frame was from 2-4. Mason came at 2:30, which was great! He was fast and efficient. My outside drain was partially sealed with cement so I thought it was gonna be a huge issue and very costly. Mason had accessed the drain and fixed the problem in less than an hour! The cost was no more than what was quoted to me over the phone. Not only was the service fast, efficient, and affordable, but Mason was the nicest guy and was in the best mood. A+ Korte! I had an urgent situation. I’ve just sold my house. While packing, the power went out in my master bedroom. I did the usual things to troubleshoot, but nothing worked. To make things worse. It was a Friday and the buyer’s inspector comes in Monday. I called Korte, and they worked me in between their other appointments. Not only did the technicians find and correct the problem, but they also identified two issues that would have been flagged as code violations when the inspector saw them. Korte fixed it all and got me up to code in just a matter of minutes. I’ve trusted them for my HVAC for years. I trust them just as equally with electrical, too. They have always treated me right and performed above and beyond. I will miss Korte when I move out of state.

Our water heater broke on Sunday. I got a call back from Korte the first thing on Monday morning. Noah was here within an hour and diagnosed the problem. The new water heater was installed and ready to go in about an hour! The whole process was professional and quick, and Noah was very personable. I highly recommend Noah!

John was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I wish in retrospect that I knew Korte had toilets available. The one we ordered and received from Wayfair would not fit! John explained everything that needed to be done and obtained an alternate toilet that would fit. He picked it up and installed it very quickly. Great service. Very friendly and knowledgeable! Professional and polite enough, but we chose not to use Korte, because they were the most expensive quote we got, by over $500. They work flat rate for a project, and the plan they had for our needs was overly complicated. We got 3 quotes for the same project from 3 companies, and the other 2 were very confused by the plan Korte laid out, and floored by the price. They were on time, and considerate of my needs, so I wouldn't necessarily vote them out of using them in the future, but definitely not with this project.

Using Korte for our service needs is the best decision we've made as homeowners. By purchasing the Peace of Mind Agreement we've saved hundreds of dollars and have has techs come at night, over the weekend, etc. We are especially thankful for Korte because it seems like every time they come to do work they leave us with helpful tips for future projects or things to look out for. We highly recommend calling Korte first for all things to get their feedback and advice as well as the PMA!

I have korte come out for all my home needs and they are exceptional. everyone is so nice, professional and give you honest answers.

My furnace had been acting odd for a couple of days, seemed slow start to heating cycle. On evening of Dec 26, left a message at the service number that I would likely need a service call on the 27th. On the coldest night at 0300 I woke to a freezing cold house. Called the Korte Emergency number and Steve Drew arrived about 30 minutes later - needless to say it had been an exceptionally busy day and night for the HVAC crew. Steve was pleasant and professional, and after a cup of nice hot coffee was able to diagnose the problem as the furnace circuit board - needed to be ordered, but I could expect a call later in the morning from the parts guy and resolution during the day.- sure enough, parts guy who was also pleasant, called around 10 with a quote, board ordered with service call between 10-2 pm. I also received a nice call from Heather who had received my message from prior evening!! Lo and Behold Steve returns, 10 hours after our wee hour meeting, installs the new circuit board. Answered my many questions, - I learned a lot about how my furnace works and what could go wrong. He was courteous, patient, professional and a great teacher. Thought we were done? No! About 30 minutes after he left the entire furnace just stopped running. I must confess I shed tears. Another emergency call, great customer interaction, he's on another job but we will send him right over when he is done... now 13 hours after 330 initial meeting Steve is back, still in a good mood, still courteous and professional, and as concerned as I was. Turns out the circuit board failure was masking another problem that was a relatively easy fix with no charge. I could have hugged him. I Highly recommend Steve, and will always ask for him for routine maintenance. He left such great notes that when I panicked at 6 pm b/c I was still not seeing a 1 degree temp increase, Jeff, on call, was empathic and patient and said he would call back in 45 minutes to see if there was improvement prior to coming out. House did go up a degree in that 45 minutes and he assured me that he was more than willing to come out if problem persisted or new problem arose. It took a long time to get my house back to 70 degrees but it did happen. This was a trying experience for me but I was very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy I received from all of the Korte staff I spoke with. The gold star goes to Steve Drew, thank you Steve, you earned my trust and loyalty. - Oh and thanks to ?Billie? from Customer Service who called on morning of Dec 28th to make sure everything was ok.. nice customer service touch! Korte called and let me know the technician was on his way. Ron S. was very friendly and professional. He even let me know that my air filter didn't need changed because it still looked good.Update. It takes so long to schedule with them, they are always a minmum of a month out when I call to schedule my yearly service. I had my ducts cleaned and need a filter change shortly after. I cant wait 6 weeks. Also my work doesnt schedule me out that far so I dont know what day I am available at that point. Maybe they need to hire more people right now but I have to use a different company this year. And if I like them, I wont be back.

Repairing my generator

First let me say that the two Technicians (Mike and Irie) that came out did a very good job. Problem was they are not given the tools that they need to do a job accurately and on a timely basis. They needed a camera to help identify the problem but did not have one. Korte has three cameras. One person that has a camera was on vacation and the other two people with cameras were on other jobs that didn’t even need a camera. Three hours later and a phone call from me complaining to their office a camera finally arrived at the house so Mike and Irie could do their job correctly. Once the camera arrived things happened quickly and the problem was corrected. They didn’t offer to give me any sort of a discount based on there inefficiencies. Sorry but I would not recommend Korte based on their customer service

Great company. Super customer service. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Started with Heather listening to what WE wanted, giving us our options and getting us on the schedule so quickly. Neal and Aaron were ontime, courteous and wasted no time getting to work. Quick and efficient. Love doing business with this type of company. We will most definitely use them in the future for all of our home service needs and I can't recommend them enough. Now excuse me while I go enjoy a hot shower.

Over the span of a month, we had a few visits for a major plumbing issue and one visit for an electrical job. Every person they sent was exceptionally professional and did great work. Very professional. Everything works great. We will use Korte again!

Ryan came out to service our generator which had not been working. He was on time and very professional. He diagnosed and fixed the problems quickly. He was very personable and just a super guy. He was everything I have come to expect from someone who works for Korte, such a great company. I will be requesting him to service our generator next year!

Technicians arrived on time and repaired the issues. They left a brochure regarding a HVAC yearly maintenance plan. The brochure left many unanswered questions; simply sign up, pay, but not much detailed information about coverage and exclusions. I called and requested an in-home consultation to review our needs to be sure the plan was right for us. Korte viewed it as a service call and would charge $79 to come to my home to sell us a yearly service plan at the rate of $219 per HVAC system. Boiled down - Invoice the customer a service charge to come to the home to sell the customer a service plan which the customer pays for. Double dipping at its finest.

I love Korte! We have the Piece of Mind Agreement and it is worth every penny.We had a clogged kitchen sink on the weekend and when we called they were here within an hour. A hour to fix my problem. Got a discount because of the piece of mind, got it taken care of on a weekend and was able to go about my normal routine.The people at Korte are always friendly and explain what they are doing.I highly recommend Korte for heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and more.Update: since my original review Korte has installed lighting fixtures, replaced a hot water heater, installed a new sump pump and got a whole house generator. Korte installed my vented range hood through the attic and out of the roof. They did an amazing job starting with Trevor, who is very knowledgeable when it comes to HVAC system. He walked through and explained all the details we need to know and how air flow works with range hoods. After receiving and agreeing with the quote, the team of Chris, Caleb and Cameron were all awesome. They were on time, they were nice and very clean and professional with the job. I was so amazed how they did this project, from the hood installation, to the rigid piping tin the attic, the inflow switch, and the roof vent is so well done. They even got a building permit and city inspection follow up and visit to make sure their job was properly done. I could go on and on about Korte and how well and professional their team is. Just an overall great experience with them, I will not hesitate to call them up for any project in the future.

I was referred to Korte to have camera images of a possible collapsed drain line. Technician Neil Knous was dispatched to my location. After observing the site and assessing the problems we were experiencing Neil suggested we first try to use a drain cleaning machine before assuming we had a collapsed drain line under the basement floor.The machine unclogged the drain and no collapsed drain line was found.The work site was very unpleasant and the weather was hot and humid. Throughout the tasks of providing service Neil was very through, polite, professional and allowed me to share in some professional humor as I was a pipefitter at one time in my working years.I appreciate Neil's professionalism and would recommend his service due to his willingness to suggest solutions for a problem and his attention to detail to ensure a positive result to my problem.

They we’re able to dispatch someone to deal with my power outage quickly who explained the problem, answered all my questions, and gave me an estimate and were able to completely replace my panel, and properly ground everything in a few hours. On August 24th of this year, Korte installed a heat pump system in our home. As always, they were on time, professional, and did an outstanding job. Eric, Caleb, and Yeko kept us informed during the installation and walked us through how to use the system after it was installed. First out to our home though, was Jerry, who walked through our home to determine exactly what we needed and to give us a quote. We have found in the past that, if we called anyone other than Korte, we always had to call Korte to come out and fix the work of other plumbers and electricians. So we don’t even bother anymore, and Korte is the first and only call that we make. They have never had to come back to fix anything that they initially installed. Whenever we have called the office with questions, the phone staff has always been polite and directed us to the person who could answer our questions. It doesn’t pay to try to save money elsewhere. Get the job done right the first time. Call Korte.

Performed camera scope on sewage drain line and offered 2 options for clearing roots. The technicians showed me the camera view and explained everything thoroughly. The technicians were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous.

Annual spring AC checkout. Service Person was very thorough and there was no pressure to update or repair unit. He did suggest we replace a weak capacitor so we did. Replacement part mark-up is masked with labor costs and is very high, but Korte always does a very good job.

The tech gave me a run around about price had to call the boss my self. The tech left our gas on when he undid our water heater so our house filled up with gas , the younger tech had to shut it off after we said something. A bunch of over pricing when I knew darn well how much it was going to cost. The the tech was down talking me because I am a woman, I was going to have them fix other stuff but not now.

April 2022 - Just confirming again that nothing was ever done by Korte to correct this issue. Runaround discussions with no action.I'll start the review by saying there's been no issue with the work that was done, just that it wasn't necessary work and predatory business practices were used.Korte was called out to look at moisture in a basement and high water bills that were causing some suspicion of a leak.In the end two technicians used high pressure sales tactics to run up a $2,100 bill which was approved by my mother. This $2,100 total included replacing a perfectly functioning sump pump which about a year old ($1,700) and two toilet tank rebuilds ($200 each) to address the one toilet that had a leaking valve.Let me repeat this, one toilet tank was leaking. That was the one problem. $200 of the $2,100 bill was appropriate to the service call.They were nice enough to note that the moisture in the basement was not attributed to anything they could find wrong, and that a different company would need to be contacted about that if it became a bigger issue. (update) We later found the moisture to be due to a backed-up AC drain line.Some follow-up discussion after the fact resulted in several weeks of runaround but nothing but excuses. I realize the work was approved and paid for, so it is too late to do anything, but if you are considering using this company they cannot be trusted to keep the scope of work honest. We have a $2,100 service bill that didn't address the original complaint, and only really repaired a sticking toilet valve. Everything else was completely unnecessary.This company should not be on the contact list of any relative or friend who does not have the knowledge to keep them honest and avoid unnecessary work.

Didn't do a thorough investigation before charging me a bunch of money and it wasn't even what was wrong 🙄😬 so had to pay a bunch for them to replace a non broken part all because someone didn't take the time to look at the issue.

This business mistakenly emailed me an invoice from one of their customers. The invoices/forms scanned and emailed to me incorrectly without verifying emails included COMPLETE credit card information and the personal information (name, email, phone number, CC #, CC Expiry, and CVV2/SecurityCode) for their customer.If you care about your privacy and not having to have your credit card information leaked and mishandled: think hard before interacting with this business.

After a simple problem caused a large leak in our house we just moved into, my wife and I were very worried. Korte sent Carlos very quickly. Carlos was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional, and more importantly very calm and positive and put our fears to rest. He let us know everything can be fixed and Korte does it all! We weren’t ready for the honeymoon period to end for our new home and thanks to Korte we can enjoy our surroundings again without worry.

I had a korte guy come out and look at my ceiling of my basement today because I have water dripping all over the basement floor. Plus part of my kitchen floor is soak with water and it's wood. I wanted him to find out where it was coming from. He acted like he didn't know what he was doing and he brought a trainee. He was rude and referred me to Waterout to clean the water on the ceiling and basement floor and then they will come back to see where the water was coming from. The Waterout guy told more than him. Plus he said he wasn't going to charge me went to his truck for 30 minutes came back then said he was going to charge 49 dollars after he said he wasn't going to charge me. Also he wrote a rude remark on the email receipt. Wrote water is seeping to the carpet on the the other side of the basement from where the water is dripping from basement ceiling when they clean mess up will be back. First of all the carpet was wet because the sump pump stop one night last week and flooded the basement that's why the carpet is still wet and I told him that. He charged me 49 dollars when he did nothing. And I looked at the pipes and to me it looked like the water was leaking from my pipes because I water dripping from them. I will never do business with them again.

Korte is very expensive. They charge more for maintenance issues in Fort Wayne than the highest priced maintenance company for my condo in Miami, FL, where I am accustomed to high prices. At my home in Fort Wayne to replace an outlet they charged me $279.00. Thereafter, Korte quoted me $450 to replace 4 smoke detectors in my rental property. That is where I drew the line. I told them how outrageous I thought this was and they responded that is what we charge. I hired a handyman recommended by my realtor and he replaced all 4 smoke detectors for $90 with parts and labor included. I would avoid the price gouging and go elsewhere.

Emily V. came to do HVAC maintenance. She was courteous, professional, pleasant and efficient. Emily has come other times. I felt confident in her ability and quality of work, and this time was no different.

We connected with Korte to perform repairs on electrical, plumbing and heating units within our home. First, having one firm provide each of these services, versus utilizing different firms was a tremendous value. Secondly, the individuals representing Korte (Zach for electrical, and Aaron for plumbing & heating) were professional and courteous, and skilled in their area of expertise.

Installed a new furnace and air conditioner. Korte is very professional and efficient. It's very quiet, you hardly know it's on. The thermostat can work also by way of your phone app so you can control no matter where you are. We could not be happier.

Larry and Mike were efficient and helpful even when it turned out not to be a plumbing problem but an appliance problem. When I mentioned I needed to leave within a half hour for an appointment, they were accommodating and cleaned up everything with a few minutes to spare.I called Korte Does It All at about 8:15 in the morning and Larry and Mike were there an hour later. Another local plumber couldn't schedule for two days, but Korte solved my issue quickly even though I was a first time customer.

Five stars to Mike at Korte. He came out on a Saturday night to look at our well which was not working. By midnight he determined the pump was bad. Mike came back in Sunday with Matt, and worked through several difficult issues to replace our pump.

Had a backed-up floor drain in the utility room stemming from a clog in the kitchen. Called Korte at 6:45 pm on a Friday evening and they had it cleared by 9:15 pm that same night! Neal K. was a fantastically friendly and informative technician.

I needed electrical service installed for a new home and called around to a few contractors. Korte wasn't the lowest estimate (nor the highest), but I ended up choosing them because of how easy their people were to get in touch with, it was like pulling teeth at some other places. Once I gave them the OK to proceed, the work was scheduled quickly and the crew came out on time and did a fantastic job. A few days later AEP informed me that they needed a component changed and Korte had someone out to replace it in just a few hours, providing simply amazing service, I'm not sure that would have gone so smoothly with some of the more economical contractors. You certainly get what you pay for in this world and Korte provided me with a great value.

We are very pleased with Mike and Aaron and the quality of services we needed and hoped for on June 14th. We needed a toilet that was sluggish refreshed and a bathroom sink drain plug cleared. We opted to have a new kitchen faucet installed while we had professional plumbers in our home.The toilet help and kitchen faucet install went smoothly. The bathroom sink clog was challenging due to the age of our home with the construction plumbing choices to turn drains at sharp angles with multiple pipes then branching in different directions, and in inaccessible places. Mike spent a lot of time and action with Aaron's assistance to persevere and clear that clog. We really appreciate the extra effort and not giving up and leaving us with a continued clogged drain. Our Bosch tankless water heater went out and I called to have someone inspect / replace. They told me they had no technicians able to work on our system. When I asked for other places in town that could help she refused to answer. So much for Korte does it all...(Consider Atomic Water Solutions if you’re in NE Indiana)In regards to Korte’s google response: as someone without heated water looking for guidance, the CSR made zero effort to help out my family by pointing me ANYWHERE for assistance. I left the phone call only confirming what others had already told me about this business...Korte does not actually “do it all”.

We have dealt with John on a few different occasions regarding our furnace and he is top notch. He is very personable and professional, and takes the time to explain what he is doing and why he is doing it.We had a follow-up appointment scheduled with Korte for this afternoon to repair a part on our furnace. Due to unforeseen issues on a previous job, which required additional time, John was not able to get to our house within the original timeframe. Korte called to let us know he was running behind, however, John took it a step further. He called and apologized for being late, which was unnecessary but greatly appreciated. It was getting later into the night so he checked to make sure it would still be okay to stop by. When he arrived, he was not rushed, was very friendly and even thanked us for letting him come by to get the job done after the originally scheduled appointment time. I'm sure he would have rather been at home relaxing, but he never made us feel that way. It is this type of customer service that is getting tougher and tougher to find.I cannot speak to other technicians at Korte, but if they are anything like John, you are in for a great, personable customer service experience.

I had a terrible experience with Korte today. My main septic line was clogged from tree roots. It simply needed to be rooted out. So they come over, didn't even attempt to find the clean out line and tells me that it will cost $444 dollars to clear the pipe through the toilet. I declined, so they left (which still cost me $49). I then called another plumber who did what they were going to do for only $160. Talk about highway robbery.

After an electrical fire we had in the wall, we called many local electricians to come and inspect our house. The power was off, and it was incredibly hot. All of the companiesaround us gave a 2-3 month waiting times, and were somewhat rude on the phone about our situation. it was hot, and with 2 young boys we couldn’t go without a/c or electricity for that matter. Korte got us in the same day, and our home inspected. The ladies on the phone were so nice and helpful, as well as the electrician. They definitely helped put our minds at ease! They could have painted the issue to the point that we would have replaced the furnace ($3,000) instead they were very upfront with us and basically said that if it were their mother they would do the warranty repair work.When it came to doing the work they were very professional and courteous and my mother was very impressed (although I know she didn't know the mechanical part that was going on).At least from our experience this company is great.

Neal came after the Korte electriciann Stephen, decided that this issue was plumbing and not electrical. Stephen was competent and professional AND RIGHT!. Neal sat down with me at the kitchen counter to explain the various prices and options for my sump pump and battery back-up replacement. He was polite, patient, and cheerful. He installed the chosen equipment (which is now working just fine) and then he carefully explained how the battery back-up alarm works and what to do when it goes off, as there are several choices depending on what is wrong. This security and peace of mind is expensive, but a flood in my finished basement would be much more costly. I have used Korte's services several times in the past, and they are always good, but this was the best yet.

I had water leaking into my kitchen From the bathroom above, knowing it was the drain or water supply. I called to have it looked at to see where it was coming from and get it fixed. Kortes came at the time they said and my wife was here to let them In to work. She said they were polite and all, but they told my wife we had a leak in our drain or water supply line? They moved nothing and looked at nothing, they even suggested another company that could come in and cut the ceiling to find out where it was leaking from. I thought this is why I called them?!? They then charged me the $49 to tell me what I already told them?!? I will and would not recommend, first impressions mean a lot. By the way it was a pinhole leak which was fixed very quickly, unfortunately not by Kortes on the day they came for nothing.

They (John W. and Mike Y.) did a great job! It took them one hour and fifteen minutes to remove the old water heater and put the new one in. They cleaned up and took the old water heater to dispose of it. Very nice and very professional. Definitely will use them again!

Had a house full of people coming over the next day. Called Korte at 2pm and they had a technician at the house within an hour. Chad did a great job changing the pump quickly. Chad put his himself in my shoes as a customer and recognized the old pump was under warranty and worked with us to come up with a good plan with his management to charge a reasonable rate. He was punctual and seemed to be taking alot of notes.After 3 days, I received the $8500 quote. Feeling this was a touch high for what I wanted, I asked Stacey for an itemized quote to better help my decision on going with Korte, or even possibly altering my plans to bring cost down.I never did hear back from Stacey or Korte, so went with another local company who was $2000 less AND gave me an itemized quote initially without me even asking for it.Moral is if you don't care about money, go with Korte, if you want communications,,,,,,,,then don't

I used Korte because I thought they overall had a good reputation. I called on a Monday morning because I had no hot water, they did send a technician out within an hour. I described the issue and he told me it had to be the thermostat prior to even looking at the hot water heater. He quoted me 691.00 for the thermostats that my water heater required. On Friday of the same week, I smelled something hot or burning in my garage. I called Korte again and they sent a technician out again that found the part that they had installed had caught fire. Because of the poor installation I now required a new hot water heater. The agreement between Korte and I was that they would refund my original $691.00 minus the $99.00 service fee. I am now trying to receive my refund, which should have been top priority considering the circumstances. I would not suggest using Korte in the future.Update 2/15/22 still no refund. My refund was not processed immediately because I do not have it. I’ve waited days for a refund that should take minutes. Also in response to Korte about my hot water heater being “old” it was not even 7 years old yet. It was a year out of a covered warranty. Consumer beware…..they clearly are intentionally holding money after a faulty job.

Tyler did excellent job of installing a GFCI plug. Very professional discussed everything as was doing. Done in half an hour. Price was very reasonable. Nothing beats Korea and their technicians! Tyler is among the very best!

our basement flooded recently and the water heater wasn't working. korte came out and the technician wouldn't even look at or check out the water heater. He said they don't work on Richmond water heaters. Said it would have to be replaced (it wasn't even 2 yrs old yet) and quoted an outrageous price.. as well as a quote for other work. I am on a fixed income and really couldn't afford the price quoted. told him to go ahead with it and talked to some other people. Ended up cancelling the order. Very disappointed with this firm.

AMAZING AND AWESOME! I called them on a moments notice about a water pipe I accidentally put a screw into and within 4 hours they were able to get to me! Don't trust the fake five star reviews...Long story short- I had a korte tech out. He didn't know the issue, said it may be the mother board ($300+ to replace). We have a warranty on our home, which he told me they don't deal w warranty companies...??So I call COE. They have a guy out right away and he got my heat working again within five minutes. All that needed done was to switch to a different setting on my thermostat.Called Korte office back and asked for a manager- since I already paid up front. Got managers numbe, he was out so I left a voicemail letting him know about this above situation. Never got a call back from the manager nor a refund for their tech looking at my hvac system for an hour, to find nothing.Rant is over.

We have used Korte for years, and today we were lucky to have Carlos Y. at our home to replace two faucets on our Kitchen sink. Carlos was courteous and knowledgeable. He talked to us about what services we needed and what we were hoping for, assessed the situation and then explained our various options. He then provided an estimated cost to provide the services discussed. He checked in with us multiple times to make sure we understood what he was doing and why. At 6:00 this morning it was below zero. Greg B came to the house. Diagnosed the issue with the furnace and had us back in heat in less than 30 minutes. Greg was professional, knowledgeable and we appreciate his efforts. You will definitely have a repeat customer!

Rudy came out to diagnose pulsating light issue and power loads on our electrical system. He was quickly able to ascertain that the issue was coming from the utility side. A loose or damaged neutral line. Where he exhibited customer service that stood out was not only did he talk me through the issue via phone. He proceeded to call me after hours to answer a question I emailed earlier in the day and again walked me through it in understandable terminology. The after hours call truly shows Rudy cares about the job and customer service he provides. I highly recommend him and highly recommend Korte and their quick response time.

However, the only complaint I have is their pricing appears to be high for the service they performed and what little time they spent at my residence. Our water heater quit working unexpectedly. I called Korte and was able to get a service call within a few hours. Due to age and the leak source, it had to be replaced. The worst part was the servicemen had to wait until a replacement water heater could be brought from the warehouse— It was fixed the same day! I seriously have no complaints— all my questions were answered and I do not know about plumbing. The professionals were top notch. We have been using Korte for several years for major repairs:replacement and scheduled maintenance— and we will continue to for years to come!

We use the annual services and twice they have found significant issues (carbon monoxide leak, shortage in connections) that they fixed under warranty. We are so grateful to have them to rely on to keep our family safe.

I have used Korte exclusively for all of my Electrical, Plumbing, and Heating/AC needs for many years now. While I have always been impressed with the service personnel and products over the years, I had a first time encounter with an electrical service technician by the name of Matt M. yesterday. To say that I was pleased with the service that he provided, would be an understatement. I have always been a believer that you should always attempt to give credit where credit is due, and in that vein, I wish to simply state that Matt's professionalism, expertise, and work ethic were simply great!

The guys that came out to perform the work were great. It was awesome to see a young man and older gentleman working as a team. They explained what was going on, took care of it quickly and were conscious enough to clean up as they went. I told them I could follow them around all day just to listen to them. They did a great job adding a smile to a unplanned expense.Thanks Irie and Mike!

I had electrical work done with them last spring. I will say besides the damage to my home their work ended up being decent. I’ve never been more disrespected by a company in my life. Their workers damaged my home (my walls a massive hole in my ceiling from someone falling through it) and I never even got an apology. Adam gives customers attitude over the phone and was extremely rude to me. Communication was very poor. I spent 6300$ for work they did on my home and they treated me and my home like dirt. I wouldn’t hire them again if it was my last resort. They did pay to fix this massive hole in my ceiling but it was an additional day I needed to take off of work to be home. They also deleted my previous review! Very disrespectful to your customers.

I called because I had two toilets that were running and causing higher water bills. Chad diagnosed that one just needed a minor adjustment. The other just required a replacement part. The work was done quickly and efficiently at a reasonable cost. Thank you!

I appreciated the time and patience it took for David to call and wait on our home insurance warranty. He explained step by step what he was doing in order to diagnose the problem with our air conditioner. I will be using them for all our heating/air, plumbing and electrical needs.

At first 10 days out for the fix, then called and said could come today! Thank heavens, came and did a great job fast and reasonable.

Chad came out promptly when we called for not having hot water on Saturday morning. He fixed it quickly and cleaned the whole water heater as it was his own. I asked him to look at couple other problem I had around the house and he was glad to take care of them. I feel very confident with his work and would recommend him to my friends and family. He is just a great person, but also I think Mr. Korte hires and trains his workers to be top professionals. We had good luck with the electrician from Korte in the past as well. I will put Korte on my phone speed dial.

Poor quality, over priced, unproductive and unproffesonial. Paid about 4000 to get stuff fixed, just for the workers to be unprofessional than found out that they charged me way over the original price. Would not recommend to friends or family...still having problems with my circuits they so called fixed. If anything, I believe they purposely messed things up even more

Outrageous. I have a Richmond water heater and needed it check. Was told they didn't do replacement parts on this brand, I asked if I got the parts would they replace them and was told I would have to sign a waiver. Ask how much they charged an hour and was told they charged by the job. The technician showed up didn't even look at my water heater, just said minus my part it would be $671 my husband is disabled and I am losing my job in 3 weeks how do they think people can afford these outrageous prices. She should have told me the cost of job and I wouldn't be out 50.00. I would never recommend this company to anyone and I hope you happy with my money

Carlos and Logan fixed our problem quickly and efficiently. Carlos remembered who we were as he had been here before. He knew exactly how to fix the faucet problem and then he fixed it. He had Logan, his trainee, also assist with the fix.They were running behind as it was late in the day but called to make sure we knew they were coming.Overall a very nice service call.

Matt came out because we had lost power in our upstairs... he found the problem and fixed it quickly, was friendly and knowledgeable. We were only charged for the house call. Excellent work. We didn't have to wait very long for service once we were on the schedule... just an hour or so.

The guys did an amazing job! I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of any of their many services. Our furnace blower went out in 90 degree weather. I called that morning and they came to look at it within a few hours. Service tech found the problem along with a few other issues. Bad news was they had to condemn the unit do to carbon monoxide gases entering the house. With recently become a parent and having a 7 week old in the house we know it needed to be fixed. We agreed on a new unit that would be installed within a week due to a backed up schedule they were handling with the weather we were having. Once word got out about us having a 7 week old at the time the moved the install date to the next day. The unit is running great and we got some nice warranties included that will have it running great for years! Again they did an outstanding job! Thanks guys!

Service guys were great

My 17 year old water heater pilot light went out several times over three days. I called Korte and they came out shortly thereafter. The technician, John W., diagnosed the problem and gave me the options for repairing or replacing the water heater. I chose to replace it. John was thorough and polite, and explained what he would be doing. Very pleased with the prompt response and service provided.

I needed a shutoff valve for my gas stove installed. It was incredibly expensive and they would not tell me flat rate cost over the phone so I was stuck paying for it since they also have a $50 trip charge. I have never used a service company that didn't wave the trip charge when you use them for the install, especially since I live right in their area not out in the country or out of the way. I will say the guy they sent out was great, it was the company and their flat rate costs I have a problem with. He is the reason they get 2 stars instead of 1. It took 20 minutes total and it cost $225. I will not be a repeat customer. We usually only use masters but they couldn't get anyone out in time. Next time I'll just wait. Also the flat rate to hook the stove up to the valve was an extra $150, for comparison home depot only charges $20 for that.

Koko fixed my GFI in my electrical panel. He was knowledgeble , professional and explained what needed to be done. I will definately use Korte again if anything needs fixing at my house again.

Sorry your people never continued follow up with me to schedule installation of a new furnace and air conditioner, especially when they knew my present furnace was not working properly. He was polite, efficient, and knowledgeable and provided options for repairing or replacing our water heater. Korte is my go to shop - every tech that’s been here solves the problem and provides a comprehensive picture of what’s needed in the short and long term. Very happy with Korte’s service.

Steven B. did a great job in correcting an error that was made from a previous trip made by Korte service techs. On 3/9 I had called, asking for service to replace what sounded like a bad blower motor in my heat pump system's heat exchanger. The 2 techs did a good job of replacing the motor, (neat and courteous), but I noticed that over the next few days our home seemed cooler than usual. At first I attributed the cool feeling to my having shut down our wood burner the same day the Korte techs were here, but the center of our home seemed fairly warm, while the end rooms seemed abnormally cool. (The heat exchanger is in the center of our home in the basement.) After raising the temperature of the thermostat for a couple of days, I started investigating. The high and low pressure lines seemed abnormally hot; the cold air return had very little air flow and the registers had very little air flow. When I pulled the filter from the cold air return duct and dropped talcum powder into it, the powder fell to the floor - very little air movement. I pulled the front off of the heat exchanger and noted the fan motor rotation. It was rotating backwards. I then called Korte and was promised that a tech would be dispatched as soon as available, Steve arrived within an hour, verified that the motor had been installed incorrectly, re-positioned the motor jumpers and we had much improved air flow and much improved, even home heating. The compressor had sounded like it was short cycling - on 5 minute, off 5 minutes - and laboring prior to that, and that has gone back to normal, as well as more normal high and low pressure line temperatures. Thanks to Steve - he seems like a very knowledgeable tech. I'm just disappointed that something as simple as a motor changeout caused as much trouble as it did - and hope that it didn't do any damage to my heat pump's compressor - it's rather old, but has functioned well so far. We found an outside faucet that was dripping and had formed a 1-inch icicle. It was found on Sunday (yesterday) and I called Korte today around 11 A.M. It is now 2:44 P.M. and the problem has been completely fixed!! The plumbers are back out helping others now! Two most professional and kind plumbers came and fixed the problem beautifully! The cost was very reasonable and I very highly recommend Korte to anyone, especially if they have an emergency of some sort! I can't say enough good about my experience, from dealing with the customer service representatives to the plumbers!

It took three separate visits before my drain was unclogged.I also missed work for this,not to mention the cost which I felt was ridiculously high priced. I could have bought my own drain auger for what I paid. That's probably what I'll do if this happens again.

I was experiencing a gas smell in the house. Upon calling Korte Does It All, Cory and Mike Y were at my house within minutes. They got to work right away and I was very impressed with the knowledge they had and were able to pinpoint the problem within minutes. Cory explained that he found a leak and took care of the issue immediately. He even called back to the gas company and had them turn the gas back on for us so we wouldn't be without heat or hot water for the evening. I called them in at 5 and they were finished with their work, took care of the problem and had us back with gas for the evening. I was very impressed with not only the knowledge and the work ethic, but how polite and courteous they were. Kudos to Korte for having such a wonderful staff!

Called Korte to come out for leak under kitchen sink. He found multiple problems with pipes and garbage disposal. Cost $300 to fix. Few hours later realized we still have a leak. By then it's after hours on a Friday. Told them I'm not going to pay the $229 after hours fee for a service we already paid to have addressed. Was told they'd waive it if it was something they touched. Even if it was something they didn't touch, they obviously didn't fix the original problem of why we had them out in the first place. They can't even stand behind their own work and make things right. Now we will have to wait all weekend without a sink and try to talk to a manager on Monday.

So thankful for Korte and their experienced technicians! My furnace stopped and they fixed it same day! I have relied on them for years and will going forward. I highly recommend Korte!

We discovered a wobbly toilet in our half bath and called Korte for a reset. The toilet was very old… after John explained our options we decided on a new toilet. They called and ordered up the new toilet and quickly removed the old one… hauled it off and then went to their warehouse to get the new one. I needed a new well pump installed and Noah arrived right on time as was scheduled. He and his co-worker worked extremely hard to remove the old pump as it had corroded into place. After a long time they got it removed and found a new smaller pump that would work in my well. He retrieved the new pump and by this time it was getting late in the day. I thought he would come back the next day to finish installing the pump, but he stayed in the down pour of rain until the job was completed. By the time he left my wife and I had running water again!!!! I highly recommend Noah as one of the best you have working for you.Thank you Noah for your hard work under very difficult conditions.

Wanted to run a gas line for a grill. Rep came out (late) and gave us a $2300 estimate to run a line from the meter about 25 feet along the side of our house. He said it was for labor and would take two workers 4-5 hours to do it. Ridiculous estimate.

As usual, Ryan with Korte provides spot on services for my whole house generator! I would recommend their generator services to anyone!

Mason also replaced our whole house water filter. We were so impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He took care of the issue with the water heater and the water filter quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Korte.

We had a shower head and handle replaced as well as a faucet in the sink The work on the shower entailed cutting a hole in the drywall to get to the plumbing to complete the install. Very precise and clean cut of the drywall.Carlos does a fantastic job. He explains what is needed for the repairs every steps of the way. When he went to turn back on the water to the house, due to the age of the handle, it would not turn back on. We called the city water department who arrived right away to turn off the main to the house. Carlos replaced the old part and we were good to go. (I think there may have been cheering on my part.) I am very thankful for Carlos and our city’s water department personnel.

Could really use some more people on your emergency help line for techs after hours. Finally got a tech to call me back after 3 hours. Ended up having to call another HVAC company to come repair our unit. Out of town with a house at 40 degrees. Not something I like stressing about on top of not getting a phone call back to get service done.

Service was done as asked. Asked for a quote on installing lights in soffets and the technician did not listen to what I had to say when offering quote. I got a little ill as the tech was talking to me and spitting his chewing tobacco juice into a bottle while he was talking to me. Zero professionalism.

I called Korte electric about a problem I was having, and they sent someone out the same day. Harry evaluated the problem with my electrical fuse box and found it was a faulty line going to the grinder station and ran a new line. He was very knowledgeable and professional and explained things clearly to me. He gave me an estimate prior to the job and the total was exactly the same as the estimate. I felt very confident with him doing the job after talking with him. He did a great job! I will definitely use Korte again and ask for Harry!

Carlos did great work! He was able to reconnect my water softener and whole home water filter and did so with no leaks, no mess, and no worries. He explained what the original problem was and how he was going to fix it. He was amazing! I would call Korte and request Carlos for any future plumbing work I need done, and strongly recommend him.

Most recently, John F. went the extra mile to work with our HVAC system. He dealt with problems that surfaced during routine maintenance in a professional manner. He worked hard to keep current and projected costs in line with our desires, he worked patiently to make sure we understood all of the implications and complexities we needed to know to make the best decisions, and throughout, he was very respectful, polite and a genuine example of a trustworthy person.We've had similar positive experiences with Korte from routine maintenance to HVAC whole system replacement. In a historic home in West Central, installed 12 3-prong gfi outlets (had to install boxes behind the outlets), a ceiling fan (had to install supports) and outdoor light (had to be rewired) that all turned out to be far, far more complicated than expected. They got it done, fixed the safety issues and did it right. On time, professional, courteous, conscientious, ethical. Highly recommend!

This rating could change. My mother had a water heater installed in July and I just got to see it for the first time last week. It is leaning, it is too large for the space. It is in a closet with the furnace and has sliding doors. My mom went to access the furnace and the door would not open, kept hitting the water heater (never had that problem before). They came back out and removed the door guide from the floor so the doors would lean out and allow them to slide open. Man said problem fixed. PROBLEM NOT FIXED. Stupidity. It also didn't address the fact that the water heater is leaning about 3 degrees. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I expected better from this company.

Korte Does It All....except care about their clients or community. I called Korte for electrical work after a SEVERE storm in the area. The lady on the phone launched in to an obviously scripted monologue regarding what they were going to charge me. I explained to her that this was part of an insurance claim and her response was as follows: We do not work with any insurance companies. You will need to pay the money up front and then worry about getting reimbursed by your insurance company.As someone who has already spent thousands out of pocket for our immediate needs until our adjuster could get to us, I am NOT in a position to front even MORE. I called another local electrician right after that and he was more concerned about getting me fixed ASAP than getting the up front money. As large of a company as Korte is, they certainly can afford to work with insurance companies and claims. This is just an example of corporate greed and a lack of caring for their community!

I have yellow, smelly water.. The technician checked the water softener. He did not appear to know how to operate the unit, as he kept pushing buttons randomly. I asked how I would know if the unit was working. He claimed it was. I asked if the water was hard or soft. He said he didn't know because he didn't have a test kit. How can someone know if a water softener is working if you don't have a test kit. He fumbled with the buttons again and said the unit was set high (130). He said that was high. I asked to set it lower.. he said he shouldn't. I think he didn't know how.finally got the unit to regenerate. I am now waiting to see if the unit is working. I don't see how it could, as nothing was done.

I really enjoyed my experience with Korte, I ended up with Carlos from HVAC who evaluated my water heater and got me a replacement with no trouble and at a great price. Lori in the accounting department help me with financing, I got 12 months interest free which is even better.All of the people I spoke with there were courteous polite and knowledgeable. They are excellent at staying in touch keeping me up to date with the schedule and what's going on.

I was having my bar cabinets installed on a Thursday and needed to move a water line which I thought went to the dishwasher (previous homeowners had it installed). I contacted Korte on a Tuesday and they were able to come on Wednesday to move the line. I was appreciative that they were able to have a technician come so quickly. They called ahead to say they were on their way. When Larry arrived he quickly assessed the situation and determined the water line was for a fridge ice maker and not a dishwasher (wish I knew enough about plumbing to figure that out). Since I was not installing a full size fridge I did not need the water line. His solution was to remove two screws that secured the hose and tuck it inside the wall. It took him all of 5 minutes (more time inspecting and getting the tools then actually doing the labor). He said that it would be a $49 service charge but he would only charge me for a quarter of labor. Unfortunately I agreed. He handed me an invoice for $94.00! He charged me $45.00 for 5 minutes of work in which he did nothing other than remove two screws and shove the line in the wall. Unbelievable! Interesting way to treat a new customer. He did inform me that I would not have to pay another service charge to have them come back out and hook up the dishwasher, sink and faucet after the cabinets were installed. I was not very pleased to say the least. I called them a week later to see what it would cost to have a dishwasher and sink installed. They quoted me over $515! Yikes! I decided to eat the service charge and look elsewhere. I found another plumber through a family referral that did the work for $200. They did not earn my business based on the way they charged me the first time. Be warned, ask for pricing up front to determine what you are willing to pay for the work you need them to do. $45.00 charge for 5 minutes of work where they did no plumbing is not a very good practice in my opinion. Pro: Able to take the job on short notice. Called ahead and arrived on time. Con: Pricing.

After a small work emergency we called Korte for help. Two very professional gentleman showed up, answered all questions, and were very helpful. Even took the time to explain Kortes Peace of Mind Agreement with us. Thank you for coming to our aid!

I called because there was a strong “rotten egg” smell in our basement. I was concerned that there was a gas leak. Thankfully, the technician did not find any concerns and set my mind at ease. Better safe than sorry.

After the snow storm on Monday our furnace went out. Korte sent someone out as soon as they could and David was very professional and informative. He repaired our furnace and gave a few tips for maintenance as well. Thank you!

Neal was extremely helpful with a blocked main sewer line. He took the time to make sure our clay pipes were well-cleaned (verified with a camera snake), even after the blockage was cleared. Couldn't be more satisfied with the experience.

Had MAJOR sewer back up. Sam and company determined it needed to be upgraded to emergency status and completed a new sewer outlet, cleanout and hookup in one day, rather than having to wait 3 additional days. Crew was very professional, friendly and courteous.Only problem we have now is doing something with the mound of dirt left behind after the dig and refill that they did to hook up to sewer line. But we are able to be in our house rather than a hotel.

They have not failed me in any way. They are prompt, professional, friendly and always take time to answer my questions and help me understand my home's needs. They have very low staff turnover which says something about a company, and the crew members speak highly of Mr. Korte. I love these people.

We choose to live in an historic home and Craig B., now with Korte, has been taking care of the often historic plumbing in our home with the care and attention to detail these old homes deserve for over a decade.

Had a kitchen sink leak. Called Korte. Really nice reception person answered my call - with real person! They had a technician out in less then an hour. John worked like the dickens to try to locate the problem - a very strange leak. Worked with me to find the parts we needed. He got the repair job done in about an hour. Was extremely nice, very clean, and wonderfully efficient! Couldn't have asked for better service. I am more than pleased. John is an absolute asset to Korte!

Korte responded to my call same day and addressed our HVAC after a flood in our basement. They were upfront about the parts needed, the cost and potential wait time. When they got the parts in and realized that it was not going to work in our system, they reordered new ones that were essentially more expensive but Korte stuck to their original quote.
