Dan did a great job with out washer drain trap! It didn't look like there would be enough room for it, but he made it work and got it to spec and tested it before he left, even thinking ahead and using a flexible connection so doing the drywall will be easier, and without an increase from the quote. ANNUAL AIR CONDITIONING CHECK-UP - Last year the service technician from Home Comfort came out to service my AC (I have the AC and furnace serviced yearly). That service call resulted in extensive damage and flooding in the living room area in my basement because the guy forgot to turn off the faucet on the side of the house. Home Comfort was gracious in cleaning up that mess and I am most grateful to them for doing that. This year (2023) a different service technician from Home Comfort came out again to service my AC. Not only did he not use the faucet I specifically asked him to use when cleaning the AC unit but he somehow ended up flooding my laundry room. To his credit he got rid of most of the water but unfortunately my sister and I had to do more mopping in the laundry room and at the base of the steps, had to wash the floor and take the runners and rug to the laundromat. VERY, VERY disappointed. I'm not sure what the problem is in servicing an air conditioner because there was no issue when they serviced the furnace.

The guy that came with her to replace water heater tank was a waste of time. Nice but in Shyann’s way more then anything. He could of help clean the mess or something other then sitting on my tub.He did tell me he should not be doing jobs like this because he has bad knees and bad back oh and hip broke…….. he didn’t like office jobs though.I work in a office….. a church office. I not sure I want that guy back. BUT I VALUE SHYANN.

Brandon did his inspecting and maintenance on the furnace, but all the news was not good. He explained in detail what was going on and made suggestions for repair or replacement. Our water heater went out on Saturday evening of a holiday weekend. Home Comfort came out on Sunday and remained in touch with us the rest of the weekend getting everything fixed as soon as they could. Very pleased with their time and professionalism.

We have used Home Comfort since we built our home 17 years ago. They have always been professional and helpful. Our units died and they were prompt in coming to check them and were thorough in advising what we needed to replace. They were out next day to install both the furnace and air conditioner with a 2 man team.Both young men were pleasant and skilled. They had both units installed in about 5 hours and took all the old units with them to dispose of. Loved that! Very happy with the install and they even worked out financing with us for all of it. Would recommend to anyone.

HCE is the worst company I've ever worked with. I could write a book with everything that happened with them, but I'll try and keep it short. Our AC stopped working so we went to HCE to get a new one. At the time, they also had a deal of getting a furnace for free. When they came the first time, they tore out our old ac and furnace. The furnace was in good working condition but old. After 24 hours, they had to come back out because the AC wasn't keeping up (ran all day without cooling our home). At the 48 hour mark, I noticed that the return air lines weren't put back on the new unit. THEY DID NOT DO THEIR JOB CORRECTLY! So they sent another tech out to fix that. However, it still wasn't keeping up. They ended up coming back to our house 6 times as the techs could not figure out why it wasn't working correctly. Also, their trained techs were NOT the ones who realized that the returns were not put on. It was ME who is not trained in Heating and Air. The Sale Manager, Chad, and the GM, Gary, came out on the 7th trip. I asked Gary if I could see the building permit, which should have been placed on day 1, but he said he didn't have a copy but I could look online and find it. I called the building dep. a few days later and they informed me that HCE did NOT apply for the permit until the day I asked the GM about it which would have been over a week after they first put the unit in our home. I also asked for a copy of our contract, but Gary said he could not give that to me either as I had to wait 6 weeks after installment to get it. (THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GIVE ME A CONTRACT BUT THEY DID NOT.)At this point I was fed up. The unit wasn't working correctly and the techs were useless. On the 8th day, I tried to contact the GM, Gary, but my calls went right to voicemail each time. I then had my wife call the SAME number and he answered. HE HAD BLOCKED MY NUMBER! During that call, I told him to remove their equipment, return my old WORKING furnace or give me money for taking the working unit, and give us a refund. Then we made a plan for them to come back out. After they did come out and gOt the furnace and ac, they also took things they shouldn't have. When I called back, it took them a few days return my calls. They also HAD NOT returned our money during this time. It took them OVER a week for them to return our money. Mind you, they only gave us the refund and nothing more. They refused to give me money for my lost time at work, the value of the furnace, or money for taking items they should not have removed. I will NEVER use them again and hopefully this will keep you from using them either!

Gabe is very polite, and professional. He found the issue that was causing our problem quickly, and fixed it. He also told us how to properly maintain the area. He talked to us about the value provided by having a maintenance program in place. We a very grateful for what he accomplished for us. I highly recommend this company.

Have never had better customer service from any company. Came out yesterday to inspect our 38 year old boiler & 30+ air conditioner. How they were still working was God's blessing. Needed to be replaced...Only 24 hours later the job is done. Unbelievable service! Air conditioning went out Saturday, it wasn’t an emergency but they still came out Sunday. Found out it was the original air-conditioner and furnace from 1992 when the home was built. They installed an air conditioner and furnace on Monday morning. You really can’t get much faster than that.

Patrick had been out 12 days ago and got the the unit running by adding Freon. Since then the system has been running much cooler than the remote is set to. Patrick checked out the system again, cleaned the fins in the interior unit and though there was the discrepancy in the temperature could not find the cause. We decided that it may be an issue with the remote (the remote is how the unit is controlled). I told him I would order a new remote and see if that cured the problem. I won't receive it for a few more days.I received the replacement remote controller yesterday and the mini split has held temperature within 2 degrees of set point since then. I believe that the problem is fixed:)

I had the pleasure of having Aron Najar as my technician and I cannot express enough how amazing my experience was with him while he fixed and serviced my air conditioner. He arrived on time, provided me with valuable information, and effortlessly resolved the issue with efficiency like I have never seen before. Not only did he fix my faulty capacitor, but he also went the extra mile to clean my coils and fan, which I neglected for quite some time. Let me advise you not to make the same mistake as me by waiting until something goes wrong. Instead, consider joining the monthly service program for just $22 a month! If I had been a part of it earlier, I would have saved over $300 in just one visit. Thanks to Aron, I am now enrolled in the program and I can confidently say that I am back to feeling cool again. I had my AC unit replaced, good work and early to the appointment. They removed and replaced the AC unit, some duct work and cleaned up nicely. I had to seal a few areas along the top of the new ducts since air was leaking out but overall great service.

Vent stack was repaired. Jon is very professional in his work ethics and practices. I would gladly request his services with any plumbing needs.

Josh did a great very through cleaning of our vents. I would strongly suggest having Home Comfort and Josh in particluar perform this function.

Technician Luis checked our HVAC system and said everything looks good but to keep an eye on the air conditioning coil because it is starting to show some rust. Luis is a very good technician and very friendly as well. We will be happy to have Luis again. Thank you Luis and Home Comfort.

I almost can't say enough about Brandon and the A/C check he did for me today. He was courteous and pleasant, but his most outstanding trait was that he took the time to explain and show me [he took pics with his phone] what he found and what he would recommend to remedy the situation. Then, when he went out to inspect the actual A/C unit. He found clues that the previous company I used must not have performed a complete outside inspection. Brandon also discovered a large amount of debris had accumulated inside the unit. It apparently had not been removed for some time. He then took the time to clean it all out.I was very pleased with Brandon's technical thoroughness. But I was especially impressed by the patience he displayed as he completed a topnotch inspection. It never fails that as a loyal customer, I am paying more than new customers or customers that need to pay on monthly bases. Having to pay an extra $20 for paying in full is ludicrous!! Israel came out to check a leak in a water supply shut off valve. I thought it would have to be replaced but he was able to tighten the shut off and that stopped the leak. Simple fix to this problem. Very pleased with the experience. Thank you again Isreal.

Our 36 year old a/c decided to die on the hottest day of the year (of course! lol). We have used HCE for years, they replaced our other HVAC system (yes we have two systems) last fall with amazing results. As well as our hot water heater last June. This project was just as amazing - from the project manager Chris to the installer Dustin and his assistant everything was handled professionally, courteously and timely. With the proper equipment installed now even the previously unreached rooms of our home are now evenly cool. We highly recommend HCE.We just had our vents cleaned by Dave Hoin, he did an amazing job, giving them an in-depth and highly professional cleaning. I almost can't wait for the cold weather to be able to use our new furnace (installed in June).We are extremely satisfied with HCE. The technician set my thermostat to 64 to get the AC running so he could perform the maintenance. The service provided was satisfactory, but he left and my thermostat was still at 64. My windows were wide open and I didn't notice for 2 hours. My electric bill will reflect that!! Not too happy!

Kyler came out to fix my AC unit which would not shut off. It kept running constantly and was freezing us out. He was very proud and courteous. I appreciate how quickly he was able to get it shut off and fixed.

I had a leaky water heater and had to shut off my hot water to the house. I called HCE. Within 2 hours Shyann was on site and looking at the situation. She determined my water heater was completely rusted and needed replaced. The second water heater was also suspect. She had a crew back out to the house and she had everything replaced within about 4 hours.She and her helper are professional and take care to explain everything and give me all of the options.I appreciate the quick response and good work they do.

Sam Trisler seemed professional and did a good job. However, 4 days after his visit, I had to call Home Comfort because we had no heat in the house. Another technician, Brandon Hazinski--by the way, he was excellent--came on Saturday and cleaned a part that needed to be cleaned by Sam. However, Sam informed me that the water heater had a small leak. I installed a new one today and Devon McGrath did an excellent job.

Dan made sure the pipes worked perfectly after cleaning the main sewer line. I'm impressed with the work done and will definitely be calling again the next time I have any sewer issues.

They are well known in the Fort Wayne area and many other communities in Indiana as providing good service. Their Installers did a good job, they were quick, only taking 4-1/2 hours to complete the job. They let me know when they were on their way to my house, cleaned up the area after they were done and also answered all my questions I had for the new system. I am very happy with the quality of work that was done. Dylan and the other guy who installed our new air handler in the attic and the new condenser outside where very respectful and courteous. They installed the new system in our old home from the 60's that had been retrofitted with a/c about 30 years ago. It was not an easy install, as the air handler had to go through a small attic access that was located inside a closet. They came early to beat the heat and were done by 1:00, it was a big job and the house is now cool and comfortable. Thank you for the good customer service.

Gabe Korn was the tech we had today. Our air quit working last night. They were out before noon today to repair. Gabe explained what the problem was and got it fixed quickly.

Aron came out to the free consultation/2nd opinion visit for our AC repair. This visit was above and beyond expectation to say the least! We had a different company come out to look at the evaporator coil and basically said “yup it’s this and it’s gonna cost at least this much”. No other real explanation just a generic quote. Aron did a thorough walk through on the evaporator coil, the outside unit, checked levels, pressure, showed me where and why he was doing that step. He gave us the information in an easy to understand way also.We will be using Home Comfort with this project based on the experience with Aron. Would definitely recommend to others!

Professional, friendly. Did an excellent job or replacing my hot water heater. Had to install new pipes and crawl around in my attic to access some of the piping. Cleaned up really well when finished.

Luis was my technician this time. He was awesome like all of the staff here. Very friendly, efficient and informative on giving me updates on new service plans and getting salt delivered for my water softener which I previously didn't know you did. He was on time and showed me all the work he had done to make sure I was satisfied.

We've always had a great experience with HCE. Our AC kicked the bucket on one of the hottest days this year. HCE was able to send someone (Mason) out that evening to replace it. He worked super late to get it up and running for us.

Sam was great. Good communicator and caring individual. He provided needed service and made customer feel comfortable.

These two technicians, Brian Burgess, and his assistant Patrick spent 12 hrs at our house today. They dismantled and removed our old furnace and AC unit, then installed a new furnace and AC unit, and installed a new gas line from our basement, inside the ceiling( so completely tucked out of sight), of two finished rooms down there, and up through the basement ceiling, through our kitchen floor, to give us a gas line for a new stove. They were polite, very knowledgeable,explained everything they were doing, and worked tirelessly throughout the day and into the evening to get all of that done in one day. They did not even take a lunch break. We are beyond blown away by these two technicians today! I hope this company realizes what wonderful employees these two men are. Wow!! Thanks so much!!!

My A/C wasn't cooling. Aron made the service call and he knew immediately what the problem was. He fixed it promptly and efficiently and explained what was wrong and how he took care of the problem. Dave Hoien was the technician that performed the duct cleaning service. He arrived right on time. Explained what the cleaning process consisted of . He made sure I understoodHe brought in his equipment and went to work. I believe he was here fir about 4 hours. The office was sketchy as to when the tech would arrive. We had waited the whole weekend to have a sewer line cleared. The tech, Carson, called prior to his visit to inform us when he would be arriving. They arrived when stated and surveyed the issue. He gave us the full blown out- of- site price and then we talked. He mentioned options and alternatives that would work for us. We finally agreed and the work began. The job was completed professionally and completed within the hour. Our sewer line is now clear and water flowing freely.

Israel did a superior job of installing a bathroom fixture. He went above & beyond the usual run-of-the-mill plumbers. Israel evaluated the existing fixture, diagnosed the problem immediately and gave me several options and discussed the different pricing quotes thoroughly. He returned to finish the very difficult dismantling of the existing fixture, carefully cleaned away the remains of inferior installation done by a different plumbing company from only last year, and used far more quality materials in his installation. Israel also gave me his professional opinion on another existing plumbing problem I discussed with him, as well as future price quotes for that future repair. He also gave a quick evaluation to the older existing water valves and possible quotes for future updates and a quick look at the hot water heater as well. The job did not go easily for him but he made it look like a breeze. He is very knowledgeable in his skill, his profession, and products that should be used, or avoided. Israel is honest, dependable, very skilled and a credit to this company. Although everyone I've met from HCE have been very pleasant and professional, Israel is who I want sent to my home for future repairs. Dependability and honesty are in rare supply. He is both.

Toilet not draining. Listened to the symptoms, was patient, logical and and gave the options without any pressure. Very pleasant man.

Had a young man named Carson out today to snake out two drains that weren’t flowing very well. I had had a plumber out previously to do one of the drains a year ago, and had decent results, but todays results surpass last years 10 fold. We have a utility sink that our washer drains into, and usually the tub fills about halfway as the washer is draining, due to the drain usually not being able to accept that much water that quickly. That’s been our normal since purchasing the home, so I was pleasantly surprised just now when the washer drained off for the first time into the utility sink just now, the sink didn’t even have the chance to fill an eighth of the way up, because this guy Carson really did an outstanding job of getting that drain opened up. I’ve never seen it drain this well, and I couldn’t be happier. If you need a drain guy and you use Home Comfort Experts, request to have Carson be your plumber, this young man really exceeded my expectations and gave me a superb result, one that I didn’t even think was possible. I don’t know how much he’s getting paid, but he definitely deserves a raise.

Don’t call for a quote if you are in contract to purchase a property. They will not provide a quote or estimate if you do not own the property. Tried calling to purchase a brand new heating system as well as a water heater they said I can call back when I own the property…. Not helpful and rude lost my business.

I have used these people for 13 years and I'm on one of their maintenance plans. Now they are raising the prices and refuse to schedule a tune up which I am supposed to get every 6 months. Do not trust them they lie. The service and installation have been great but forget the maintenance plan and the office help sucks.They replied with another lie. No one has even attempted to contact me.

He arrived at our scheduled time. Was supposed to be a simple Halo bulb change but discovered there was another issue with the system. As it was under warranty the system was replaced and all is good.

Great company, they were here within a few hours after I called as opposed to other plumbers who couldn’t come until next day. They worked around my schedule and Aron showed up right after I had gotten home. The delay of parts took 1 day short of a month to get in, not really Home Comforts fault, still a long time to be out of a/c. I also asked for a call prior to starting job, no call, checked to see if tech was enroute still, was told by dispatch he was on job for 57min already. This expierience was very poor on the communication part.

Sam Trisler, is our favorite technician. We ask for him each time, because he knows our system. Sam is very thorough and we really appreciate his before and after pictures.

The two technicians that were out today, Tim and his trainee, to do our maintenance program were above and beyond courteous, professional and highly skilled. They let us know every step of the way where they were in the process from the time they were traveling to our house to what exactly they were doing while here. You did well on dealing with the shut off valve in the bathroom. Unfortunately you misdiagnose the leaking pipe in the basement ceilin where you cut off a part of the ceiling cover. Austin did a A/C check up as per my membership benefits. I just moved into my home less than a year ago and one of the first things I did was become a member of their service club. The people who lived in the house before me did not do regular maintenance on the furnace or A/C, so Austin had his work cut out for him on my A/C! He did a great job of showing me everything and explaining what was what and how it all worked. I feel absolutely confident that now that my systems will be serviced regularly by HCE they will have a long and efficient life! I highly recommend this company!

The guys arrived on time and finished sooner than projected. They replaced our air conditioning unit and furnace. They didn’t make a lot of noise, left no mess and we’re very nice. The cost was exactly as I was quoted. Dylan thought he smelled propane around the unit that was just installed and he and the team stayed after the job was finished until they figured it out. He showed me pictures of the leak and what he did to replace any parts that were causing it. All the guys were thorough and professional. Highly recommend.

I have work with this company multiple times. Though they may be on the mid price tier for most of there services, I would still highly recommend them. There crews are prompt and very professional. They crews I have had cone out are very honest and keep you posted on what is going to need to be done and recommend next steps to keep and issue from happening. Every time I have had them out they have recommend other company's aswell. I love it when competitors recommend each other with no animosity. It truly shows what kind of company this is.
