Took care of an additional concern I had with my ducts that another potential installer told me he couldn't help me with. Outstanding service. Would recommend.

I was personally referred to Fritz Baumann & Sons, Inc. and was very pleased with prompt scheduling by Steve. The tech Tim was masked, polite and professional. He diagnosed two issues, made repairs to one and let me know what city dept. to contact re the other. He also installed new under-sink shut offs and a new faucet in the kitchen and replaced a bathroom vanity and sink. All in one day! Will definitely refer and use them again!

Let me start with the good things first: They are polite, and responsive. They are quick to provide estimates. Their service calls are free. Now let me address the overarching negative: Their prices ARE ABSOLUTELY INSANE. I'm wiling to wager that brain surgeons are paid less on an hourly basis than what they're trying to charge.I am a landlord and needed a new gas control valve on a tenant's water heater. (This is roughly a $180 part, and it takes about 45 minutes to install.) I called these guys. As I said, the dispatcher was awesome. She said they'd get somebody out to look at the problem later that day. And indeed they did - right in the middle of the four-hour window that they quoted. I have no complaints up until this part.So then the tech called to discuss the repair and give me a quote. He wanted $914 to replace the gas valve. I didn't really know how to respond at first. But then I was like, You realize an entirely new water heater costs about $550, right? Why would I pay you $914 to replace a small part? Then he explained that they charge $2,200 to replace a water heater. (They must be out of their minds. I really hope nobody pays them this much, as at that rate, they're charging about $1,600 in labor for a pretty simple job that takes less than two hours to complete.)I told him that I really couldn't justify paying them $914 to replace a $175 part. He then countered by offering to let me obtain the part myself, and have them install it for $550. (Again, this is a very simple, 45-minute job. It entails draining the water tank, unplugging two wires, unthreading three gas lines, unscrewing the valve, and reversing the process. The longest part of the job is sitting and waiting on the tank to drain. You can watch a Youtube video on it if you don't believe me.) So that's roughly $730 an hour. Sounds like a GREAT deal, right?Anyway, I thanked the repair person for his time, and said I'd think about it. Ultimately, I thought they were crazy. I ordered the part on Amazon and did it myself this morning. As I said, it took 45 minutes, and I am NOT a skilled plumber. I'm just a regular guy who can't afford this company's predatory pricing.Edit: I uploaded pictures of the quotes, in case anybody thought the numbers I cited were a bit far-fetched. I know I would have.

Muetzel had installed our old water heater for the previous owners which lasted FOREVER. When it finally blew, we called them to install new one. The front-line person who answered the phone, Sonia, was so kind and sympathetic to my situation. She said she had to be realistic with scheduling and so they weren't able to fit me in same day but she scheduled me for first time on the next business day. She agreed to call me if they had cancellations and she expressed understanding when I told her I was going to call around to see if I could get someone sooner. We ended up finding a plumber closer to where we live who was able to do it quicker, but I will always remember how easy it was to talk with Sonia and definitely would use them if (God forbid) we have more plumbing needs.

BUYER BEWARE: I recently found Mr. Rooter through home adviser and asked them to come over and replace a shower valve. The staff was very responsive and setup appointment for the same day. Wow great I thought. Then I was called and told a tech would be on site in 30 minutes. Rushed home 1:30 before appt was scheduled to meet tech, then he didn't arrive for another hour. Ok whatever last minute appt I am just happy to have someone there.Next they go to look at the shower. 2 techs showed up and quote me $950.00 to replace 1 shower valve. That is 1 valve with 4 copper pipes soldered in. They would have cut the wall to access it, which was fine, then removed the existing one & installed another. I asked them what the hourly rate was and how long the job would take. They said they could not provide a hourly rate as everything is just fixed rate.I told them I thought this sounded High and I just wanted to check with my regular plumber who is commonly regarded as the best in the city Jack L Woods plumbing. Jack Woods told me they charge time and materials for a job like this @ $94.00 an hour. They estimated 2-4 hours to complete the installation. Jack L Woods had a week long back log so I tried Mr. Rooter if you are wondering. If you have an emergency and you just need something fixed this might be a good option but be very careful on the price and make sure you are armed with competitive quotes for whatever you do to ensure the pricing is fair.

Our shower had been dripping for some time. A previous plumber had refused to tackle the job because of the difficulty. Mike from Accurate Plumbing overcame the difficulty. It took some time but the job was finished, and now the shower seems to work better than when it was new. Mike also repaired a toilets that I had asked him to look at. The charge for these jobs was more than reasonable.
