I called Roto-Rooter on Labor Day, due to having my main drain clogged with overgrown roots. This in turn caused a messy backup into my basement. The receptionist said that a technician would be out in about 2 to 3 hours. However they showed up in about 40 minutes.
He quoted me a price for his services, which I agreed to. They got right to work, cleaning out the drain. They were polite, professional and honest. He worked on the drain longer than normal I believe, as I had several bad root problems he needed to cut out. He even recommended some treatments I could do going forward to ensure the roots didn't become a problem later on . When everything was finished, they completely cleaned up the mess. His quoted price was the price I paid in the end, even for the extra attention he gave to cleaning out the roots. Many kudos to the technician, Jonathan. I appreciated the fast service on the holiday.

Had Tarvin come out for a clogged PVC pipe for the washing machine unit. There initially was some confusion because water pressure was checked which might have led to a water heater leak that started soon after. They came out again free of charge and they refunded me for the original visit because of the water heater leak that they were able to fix.

Mark Tarvin came out the second time and explained everything in great detail and also gave me competitive quotes on replacing the appropriate malfunctioning equipment.

At the end of the day what you want is accountability and professionalism in a company, and you definitely have that with Tarvin. Would recommend them to friends/family.

Within 2 hours of my call, He came with full load of equipment. He did an excellent job and clean the whole sewer pipe without additional charge. The faucet change was done flawlessly as well. I am very satisfied with the service and highly recommend them!

Contacted via Angi for repair/replace of water heater. Spoke with Eric Warner 3 times prior to him responding to my home for an estimate. At no point during those conversations did he mention a $129.00 Trip charge. No other contractor requested a charge for an estimate. If you contact or are contacted by American Rooter, be sure to enquire about a fee for an estimate. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB and Angi.
