I recently purchased a home. John Bathke & Son Plumbing was recommended to me by my home inspectors at Chicago Building Inspections. I also noticed that John Bathke & Son Plumbing had serviced the home prior to my ownership. After reading such good reviews and getting a recommendation, I would have to agree.

I made an appointment, which ended up having to be rescheduled because they had an emergency service they needed to perform for another client. They reduced my flat fee by 50% because of the inconvenience, which was nice.

The plumber who came to service my house was Ron. He has nearly 40 years of experience. He was professional, personable, patient, and explained things plainly. I didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me on things that were unnecessary. He had practical solutions for what I would want done.

After going through a number of concerns, wants and needs for my plumbing situation, Ron gave me several options at various price points. Ron started part of the work right away and scheduled out the rest of the job for another time. I’m looking forward to getting the rest of the job done and have good confidence in their service and skill. I would absolutely recommend them.

We really liked the Tech, Harold 2004, so far we think our water heater install he did was a good job. However, we were told over the phone by the lady who set up the appointment, that water clean up was a part of the service. Harold did not get the water up, he stated he would need to call a Supervisor for permission to do so. My Home was left wet and messy for us to clean up.The bad part about your company is:The service/labor charge is extremely too high to NOT have the water mess cleanup as a part of the service call!

From the assessment, these plumbers were able to diagnose that the previous plumbers had messed up on all my new pipes and they needed to be replaced. They gave a rough estimate and proceeded to do the work. It was beautiful and I recommend what thye do.

I had Goode Plumbing come out to my house today and was super lucky to have Tony W as my plumber. Tony went above and beyond my expectations for the work I thought I needed done. Turns out with my old house there was more wrong then the eye could see. Tony made sure to talk me through everything he did. I would definitely use Goode Plumbing again and request Tony.

Edwin is extremely professional, tackled a difficult job with my old pipework. Very clean and was well prepared for the job.

Hugh Jordan was great! We’re under contract on an older home, and out of an abundance of caution wanted to have the sewer main line scoped so we would know if there was anything pressing there. This company was prompt, easy to book, easy to pay for, and very helpful. Jordan was on time, and even took a look at the kitchen line. He made some recommendations for cleaning/hydrojetting should we get the house, and provided a quote after. We would use them if we finalize this home purchase. Thank you!

We rent and our landlord called for service in our apartment. Scott was terrific was knowledgeable and unbelievably neat..would highly recommend him

Mr Burris is a charming, mature gentleman who comes across as friendly and helpful. He was very chatty and VERY persuasive that he talked me out of cleaning out the sewer line. He suggested he could save me money by pouring vast amounts of rock salt down the drains and inside the catch basin. Foolishly, I agreed and paid for that service.
The problem, however, was not resolved. I called back the next day, and Mr Burris came back to rod out the sewer line as I originally requested. Given all the talk of him being fair and just etc, I thought he would deduct the money I already paid previously for him to put rock salt down the drain. After all, he promised it would work and it would save me money. No such luck!
Less than 6 months later, unlike ever before, the sewer line was blocked again. This time, the blockage was more extensive. Instead of having a clear sewer line for at least a year, I had to spend more to clean out a bigger mess. I had mud backing up out of my drains even.

Mr Burris, it would be nice and just, if one of these days you acknowledged at least one of your mistakes. Witty, passive-aggressive comments blaming your customers can only get you so far, Sir.

Mike rodded out my sewer lines..explained everything he was doing...on time..very friendly..would definitely use them again...very satisfied!!!
