We called RotoRooter when our sewer line backed up into our basement. Our technician arrived within an hour and quickly fixed the problem. He was friendly and courteous. There was no additional charge to come at 8:30 at night, and I really appreciate how fast our problem was solved.

First Chicago Plumbing replaced the faucets in two bathrooms and the kitchen and also replaced the diverter in the bathtub. Eugene and the gentleman with him (I don't recall his name) were very professional and very nice. Eugene took the time to explain everything to me and answered any questions I had, even after the job was completed. VanDerBosch was at my condo building to perform work for the association and team lead Jordan was gracious enough to come give me a second opinion on the broken shower handles in our bathroom, and ended up saving us $600 - after taking a look, he suggested that our issue might be simpler to fix than we'd been told by a different plumber, and we were able to fix the issue with some new handles that cost me $12.12. I really appreciated their honesty and professionalism in handling this. I would highly recommend working with them for your plumbing needs.

Called late on a Saturday night to request Sunday emergency service for a blocked sewer. Received a text during the night to call the office to set an appointment. Called at 8am and left a message with the answering service. Received a call within 10 minutes to say that Blanton would be out the same morning. Then a call to say late morning. Receive a call to say they would be there in an hour. No service. We placed 6 additional calls with no call back from the company. We had to leave our information (Name, call back info, description of problem) each time. I know that service on a Sunday is nothing but emergencies for any plumber but the communication from Blanton was horrible, nearly non-existent, even after I begged them to just tell me whether or not they could even make it out that Sunday evening. Never heard back and at 8pm, I called another plumber that was early for the 7:30 am appointment on Monday morning. Should have called him first, shouldn't have waited so long believing that Blanton would come through on Sunday. So much for wanting to give more business to a company that we had used before. And so much for wanting to shop local by using a business in our neighborhood. Oh, and absolutely no call back on Monday from Blanton to schedule an appointment or see if we still needed service. Nor on any day since. Horrible business to deal with. If you need a plumber, do not call J. Blanton Plumbing

We called more than a week ago to get an appointment. Appointment day comes, appointment window closes, neither hide nor hair of anyone from this company. I tried calling them in the last 15 minutes of the appt window, and the exceedingly rude answering service simply asks, Is your appointment window done yet? Well no. Then call back after it's past and no one shows up. Worthless. Call again after the window passes, I'm on hold for 10 minutes, same lady answers and tells us the service person will call. 20 more minutes he calls to tell us he never had a ticket with us. Now I have to wait until Monday for THEM to call ME back, most likely to wait another week for an appt. Nothing during the week of course because they have banker's hours and it costs time and a half for anything after 5pm, you know, when most people are home and available. The available 24 hours is a lie, anything outside of banker's hours will cost you an arm and a leg. Worthless. Save yourself time and frustration, find another company.

Burris & Sons was able to fix my boiler, even after two different companies came out and told me it was unserviceable and tried to sell me a new boiler. It only took Burris an hour to fix everything. And we even had a good conversation while he was doing it. Highly recommended.
