I have never seen a company that refuses to give out quotes or pricing over the phone with the lame excuse that the technician needs to look at your A/C unit first. Sure enough, the technician came to my home and started reading out the prices I had requested as he was walking up the stairs. He did not even look at my A/C unit nor did he need to. After he finished reading his overinflated prices he asked if I wanted to proceed with the work to which I said 'not at this time' and sure enough he collected a $70 dispatch fee. Just for reading out prices. This devious behavior in order to pressure a customer to agree to pay exorbitant prices is plain dishonest.

Vinny and Lucas came to assess a recent water leak that occurred in our house. They quickly localized the problem and opened up the area to understand the source of the leak. Heating and A/C are trades where you have to be very careful about who you call. An unqualified or dishonest technician can really ruin your day. I have found this out the hard way a couple of times.
I have a Buderus 142 High Efficiency gas fired boiler. It was installed in 2012. Not everybody can service this equipment properly. A couple of weeks ago I found out the tech. I've been using has retired. He was a one man show, so it left me searching for a new tech.
I searched the Buderus company site, which led me to Aquaflow. Learned Aquaflow is owner-operated, and has been in business around 20 years. I decided I'd give him a try. Anyway, about a week ago, Aquaflow's owner Vincent came by and did a thorough preventive maintenance/cleaning of the system. Right away I could tell he was knowledgeable of the system. He had quoted me what I feet was a fair price, and spent more than a solid couple of hours going through everything. He measured its operating efficiency, and gave me a written report, which no one else ever did.
So I have a new heating tech., who I trust and would recommend highly. Check Aquaflow out. He seems to specialize on Buderus, but works on all types of heating systems. Believe me, if he can service Buderus, he can easily handle the others. Vincent also offers complete plumbing services.

Technician was very friendly, knowledgable and honest about problem (or lack of) problem and all of the options available to me. (Was noticing a moldy smell coming through my vents when I used my AC)I am only giving 4 stars because I was bit surprised by the cost. I knew there was a $99 service fee to get company out to the home and check the unit. But there is also a $99 diagnostic fee. We couldn't find a clear problem and so no work was actually done. Offerred to do a cleaning of system but I declined at the time. I was expecting the charge to be $99 but it was actually $198 (service call +diagnosis). I do believe the $99 price for a service call fee is a bit deceiving because it is actually always a minimum of $198 to have them come look at your unit because a diagnosis needs to be made as well.

This is by far the sleaziest operation in town. Came over to snake the drain, blew a hole in our pipes and then charged me 1200$ To fix his mistake as water poured through the floors into the basement. Put me in a situation where I had no choice but to agree to this price. What a JOKE! Avoid them at all costs, many many other options out there.
