Best Shower And Tub Repair in Boston MA

i've used this company several times over the years for clogs - the main line to the house, the washer, the tenant's (who dumped grease & bolts down the drain) sink. they have always been reasonably priced and did a great job on the clogs. i was in the process of recommending them to a friend so i decided to write a review.

Call service because my basement was flooding. T-Flow said it was my water heater and I would have to call back to get an replacement. My son later came down the flooding was do to my sump-pump was broken and the water heater pilot light need to be replace. Very disappointed!!!!

These folks are very professional, they know what needs to be done and are straight with the customer. Great to have a reliable plumbing service close by!!

We had a leak from 2nd floor bathroom onto 1st floor. Three handymen wanted to tear out the leak stained part of the ceiling to find the leak. Then more than one plumber wanted to tear out the ceiling leak stained part of the ceiling and second one above it. Appears old house have two ceilings....BUT McMahon Plumbing plumber Adam began by checking the 2nd fl tub valve and found the leak. NO demolition of our house! He fixed it in a short amount of time. We joined a service plan they offer so they are now our official go to company for all our plumbing needs. Anyone who thinks Angie's List and Home Advisors and Home Pros are the way to go, this experience taught me that not to be so. We happened on McMahon my a miracle and cannot recommend them enough. In addition to great workmanship they are very respectful of your home, wear should booties to avoid tracking dirt, clean up after their work is done so there is no sign they were even there. Wish every professional service we need was a good as McMahon. On top of that they have fabulous customer service attitude and very up-to-date on state of the art equipment. The actually have cameras that can be sent into areas when it can prevent demolition. VERY HAPPY 70 year old.

Had to edit this review. Drainflow has been pretty disappointing recently. They seem too busy and don't really seem to care as much about their customers as they did in the past. Example, my shower valve was leaking and Anthony told me to do the research online myself to figure out what replacement parts I needed, then to buy the myself from the manufacturer. I'm not a plumber. He said he was too busy to figure it out himself and order the parts for me. Not the same service they used to offer. Can't recommend these guys anymore. Look elsewhere if you want a plumber that cares.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Tim, who is also the service manager, and his apprentice came to my restaurant on an emergency service call. They did diagnostics and told me the issue was the thermopile and definitely not the gas valve. They called one company to try to get the part and said they couldn’t get it until next week. In a restaurant, you are required to have hot water to operate so this essentially would mean closing the business through the weekend. When asked if there was a universal part that could be used to patch up the issue, Tim hastily told me that if there was anything that could be done, he’d do it. He “called the only company that carries parts”, for my water heater and they’d said the product wasn’t available. He basically told me that even if there was a work around, what was he going to do, drive around to several places in hopes that he could find something that would work? They then left and gave me a tough luck kinda speech saying they’d be back next week. Cut to one hour later when another company came and installed a universal thermopile that was easily picked up. Upon installing this part, it was learned that the gas valve was an issue as well. They then stayed and fixed the issue for me after Pann said it couldn’t be done and Tim couldn’t be bothered to try to actually help us. This was a Friday afternoon and my sense was they just wanted to be done for the day and didn’t want to out in the work. Avoid this company at all costs.

I have been working with Narrow Way on a number of jobs around my house, an old! Boston house; jobs have ranged from putting in a laundry sink to plumbing a bathroom . They are very reliable; they come when they say they will, they complete the work they say they will in budget. If they can't do it in budget they let you know why and they have options. They know how to deal with old homes and the surprises they bring to any job. And they treat the customer like a partner instead of the opposition or a brainless impediment (or worse). I recommend them.

Ernie was really nice and he responded quickly when I told him I suspected a gas leak in my unit.

I called late on a Wednesday night after we discovered our sink drain was clogged and Pat was able to come to our house and fix it by noon on Thursday. He was friendly, efficient, and super helpful with giving us advice on how to avoid clogging the sink again (rice evades our sink trap and can accumulate, who knew). I highly recommend using the Drain Guy!

I had to get my hot water tank replaced. Manny and his son came first thing in the morning like they said they would. Very professional and friendly, and did a great job. They took time to explain things I should know about the tank and shut off valves, and cleaned up after themselves. Price is very reasonable compared to the other places I called.

On time, quick work of a terrible situation with multiple pipe bursts. Reasonable price.

Recently, Jeff from Horvitz Plumbing did a great job converting my 3-handle to single handle shower faucet. The job was quite challenging as there is no access behind the existing faucet and pipes while maintaining the existing tiles at the front. The new shower faucet looks and works perfectly. Horvitz Plumbing also did other projects for my home in the past years. Every job was on time, quick and done perfectly.
