I called Rich Matthews at the beginning of December to talk about replacing my ancient (1982) furnace and a water heater that was starting to hurt. Add in that I was trying to do it through Mass Save with a heat loan. Rich came out to my house on a Saturday to look at the job and give us the quote we would need to get the heat loan. He had the quote to me that same day via email and he dropped off a paper copy the next business day. He's forthright and honest and he started teeing up the special pieces we would need while we were waiting for the bank to approve the loan. He was very responsive the whole time and was good about giving me a call for updates.

Because of the jury-rigged nature of the old furnace, he told us it would take two days, possibly three, to get the old one out and the new furnace and water heater in. He replaced the water heater on day one so we wouldn't be without. Then he worked late on a Friday to get everything done right before the temperatures dropped down below 20. The new ductwork, venting, and drain for the condensate are all really well done. You can see the quality of his work. It is well below freezing outside, and this is the warmest my house has been since I bought it. He even came back after the install was complete to change an exterior fitting for the air intake because he wasn't happy with the part he had on hand when he did the job originally.

10/10 I would go back to Rich for any work I needed done.

Anthony came to the house to address several plumbing issues. He assessed each problem, gave me a quote, and quickly got to work fixing each one. He was thoroughly professional, knowledgeable, and polite. For one problem, he had to contort himself to fit in a very tight area under a sink, all the time remaining cheerful and assuring me that it was no problem at all. I would highly recommend Winters!

Excellent customer service

Total sham. He tried to charge me $6800 to replace my AC (less than 10 years old) entirely and charged me $250 for him to diagnosis that, while he was only here for about 30 minutes. Another guy is fixing it for $2400. He also undoubtedly made my AC problem worse while he was diagnosing it. It ran before he was here, and it completely stopped after he left. I'm assuming to cause some urgency in this summer heat and just have my blindly agree to his $6800.

The Akian plumbing folks are extremely professional and knowledgeable. I've used their services for some time and will continue doing so. Special thanks to Manny and Orlando for fixing my HVAC unit.

Ryan D. arrived on time at the beginning of our service window to complete annual service on our two HVAC zones. He was professional, knowledgable and addressed all my questions with care and provided excellent insight. Noticed one of our compressor fan motors leaking oil with signs of overheating and said we could proactively replace it now or wait as it would eventually need replacing as it is 10yrs old but not an extreme rush - no upselling at all! Will continue to use Sila for our HVAC needs.

We recently had a new gas heating system replaced by Rich Mathews and he did a great job! He is very courteous and professional and we would not hesitate to contact him again if we needed work done. His price was very reasonable and we are extremely satisfied with the quality of his work. Five Stars!!

They were quickly available & scheduled the job for the next morning. Nice folks. It was a difficult copper solder-joint leak in a nearly inaccessible space, but they were able to solder in new copper joint w/o burning the surrounding wood, then heat-cycled the boiler to make sure the leak was truly fixed. They worked quickly, but did not try to cut any corners - they did the correct fix vs. the quick fix.

I’ve used Michael on at least 10 projects. I’m a contractor and I have never had a problem with his service or price. The reality is that people’s time is worth something, especially on a weekend emergency call.
