Matt is like super man in the plumbing world. He is able to diagnose and figure out problems like no other. I have been utilizing Matt's service for over 8 years and both the work he has done andfiguring out issues is the best. Even servicesthey do not offer such as sewer main cleaning however he took the time to hear the issue, diagnose and recommend a good company for that particular service which ended up with the problem solved. I was so happy offered him some money and he said no need. He is honest , fair and really good at what he does. Can't recommend this company enough.

I have used McMahon twice for a gas stove fitting and for a water heater replacement. In both instances I found them to be responsive, punctual, friendly and efficient. I won't hesitate to call on them next time!

Anthony has been to my house a couple times nows. I keep calling him back because he responds quickly, I can communicate with him easily through text, and he does a great job. Today he came to replace some very old, rusted out drain pipes. He had told me last time he was at my house, about a year ago, that these pipes would need to be replaced. And sure enough, they started leaking about a week ago from corrosion. The job was done quickly and very professionally at a very reasonable price. All the old parts were taken away and the area was cleaned up well. I recommend Anthony and his crew, you won't be disappointed!

Summary: Not only tried to rip us off for a job, they actually LIED and INVENTED a problem that was blatantly non-existent to try to fleece us out of more than $700.

Story...

I called about a shower that was not giving hot water. They charged a $69 visit/diagnostic fee, which is a lot and does not apply to the actual job, but I accepted it. After coming by, they said I need to schedule a water mains shutoff to the house (I live in one of three units) because they couldn't just turn off water to the shower itself, and that I needed to order a new shower valve online for them to replace next time for an installation fee of $460. Again I thought it was pricey but reasonable...

Before they left I asked them about a bathroom faucet that had low cold water pressure. They said they'll take a look, and pretended to attempt to turn off the valves under the sink to shut off the water. Then, they said that those valves were corroded, couldn't be turned, and need replacement. Without being able to shut off the water they'd again have to wait until the water mains shutoff. They however, strongly recommended me to replace those valves in addition to fixing the faucet problem next time. Total quoted cost: ~$700

NOW I was a little suspicious. My bathroom plumbing isn't that old, and given that the only thing they did during this $70 visit was attempting to rotate those valves under the sink, I decided to see myself just how stuck they were. To my utter surprise, both valves turned smooth as butter, easily closing and opening all the way under the force of merely two fingers. And what's more, after opening one of the valves just one extra turn, the water pressure problems was immediately resolved. Total time and cost for someone with zero plumbing experience to fix: 1 minute and $0

Having quickly fixed something that was quoted $700 by a seasoned professional, I figured that as a naturally gifted plumber I should delve into the shower problem myself. Of course there was still that pesky problem of shutting off the water mains. Fortunately, after unscrewing the face plate from the faucet handle (30 seconds of work which they did NOT bother to do during the diagnostic visit btw, I wonder why), I found not one but two valves that can shut off both hot and cold water to the shower! Who could have known! And, after following some youtube instructions that took about 10 minutes and a single wrench, I can finally take a hot shower again! Total time and cost? 20 minutes and $0 (well, except for the valve that they told me to buy online which turned out to be totally unneeded. But I'll be returning that...)

I have been working with Narrow Way on a number of jobs around my house, an old! Boston house; jobs have ranged from putting in a laundry sink to plumbing a bathroom . They are very reliable; they come when they say they will, they complete the work they say they will in budget. If they can't do it in budget they let you know why and they have options. They know how to deal with old homes and the surprises they bring to any job. And they treat the customer like a partner instead of the opposition or a brainless impediment (or worse). I recommend them.

The technician was pleasant and professional. He was clearly skilled at what he does. I'll definitely be calling them first in the near future!

They were quickly available & scheduled the job for the next morning. Nice folks. It was a difficult copper solder-joint leak in a nearly inaccessible space, but they were able to solder in new copper joint w/o burning the surrounding wood, then heat-cycled the boiler to make sure the leak was truly fixed. They worked quickly, but did not try to cut any corners - they did the correct fix vs. the quick fix.

Mike pinto killed it. When all the big guys were busy mike got right out there and fixed my problem. Took instructions well. Super polite. Easy to work with. Go water mold fire restoration. Go!!!

Amazing work by E Francis Plumbing & Heating! Not only was the quality of work and professionalism top notch, but they went above and beyond to ensure that my concerns were addressed. As a new homeowner, I had a list of repairs that needed to be addressed. Mike ensured that the gas pipe connected to my stove was completely secure by attaching a new piece of wood behind my drywall. Then, after hearing about my concern about mice coming through the remaining gap, he offered to fill the space with pest foam sealant. Definitely not part of his job requirements, but like I said above and beyond! Would highly recommend and will have them back for future jobs. Thanks, Mike!

Sold me a furnace claiming that it was used only 1 year. When it failed on me, I had to order a part, and when copying the serial #, I saw that the furnace was 6 year old. I am 74 years old, and feel that I have been cheated.

Jim did an excellent work on removing the kitchen garbage disposal and connecting a new pipe to the sink. Very efficient, work well done and the kitchen and under the sink were left super clean! I will definitely keep Jim as our plumber from now on.

The two gentlemen who showed up were extremely polite, professional, and transparent. Their services were expensive, but the job was done in a complete and timely manner, and my bathroom was clean when they left!
