Best Air Conditioning Repair in Boston MA

I had CTW Plumbing and Heating for several plumbing jobs. He did not supervise his plumbers, delayed fixing unfinishied job and sent some bills almost 9 months later for a return visit and other paid job. CTW owner Caleb did not supervised one major job that cost close to $3,000 of repairing heat pipe. His plumber left metal end caps bend and stuck out in several places. Only after I asked him repeatedlyl to send plumber to come back to fix the end caps, he sent one but still many places have loose end caps that stuck out its sharp metal edges for my rental apartment. Caleb 8 or 9 months later charged for the visit. He also sent me overdue notice for the work that was paid on the day of job again 9 month later. I provided paid receipt from 9 month ago.
He did not listen but stubborn, argumentative, and arrogant instead of straightening things out and He could not provide free services. When did he provided free service? I still have end caps that are loose and open.

Frank was able to come next day to fix an issue with our furnace.

He did a great job of explaining what the issue was and how he was going to remediate it.

Would recommend contacting Frank for any plumbing needs.

NOT GOOD, NOT PROFESSIONAL AND NOT SERIOUS COMPANY!
I called the company and scheduled a first visit with $99 charge to have my ac unit looked at. On the day of the appointment, Chris came and wanted to be paid $129 (before even start to work) and he was saying that his name was different from McMahon... I did not understand this part... Anyways, I was there with him for the all time, I explained the problem more than once and the technician kept saying he could not help us because he did not know about the model of the ac unit and showing a lack in efforts to really try to help me to solve this problem...
After all of this, we asked to Chris to give us a quote of either repairing the existing ac unit or changing it completely, it has been almost one week and no one from the office called me back and followed up to inform me about the quote and how to have my problem solved! Please notice that I have still my ac unit broken and it is an emergency situation!!! After this Chris wanted to get $71 just because he was super slow and it took a life for him to understand what was wrong after I told him and explained twice what was wrong!!!
He seemed really confused, very slow-pace, not expert and not willing to work and have my problem solved.
I am really disappointed about this company! Stay away!

Pann Home Services has been my go to source for HVAC for several years now. While doing a routine semi-annual on my furnace they found some serious problems with the heat exchanger, when I saw the crack in the exchanger I was horrified to think that gasses had been seeping out thru the heating system.
Within a short time, the guys replaced the furnace and at the same time I had my 8 yr. old water heater replaced.
The professionalism of these guys is incredible. Work done within a day for each project and not a bit of residual mess, I was amazed. The crew introduced themselves, wore booties to come up and replace thermostat in living room. I tend to be a fault finder, as my friends can attest, but, I could not find one thing to complain about.
Ryan, Kellin & Tim were an attribute to this fine company, I can't recommend them enough.
* With winter here and concerns about high levels of CO-2 found in homes, and some of the tragedies I hear about, I'm just super glad that I have an annual service contract with Pann. Peace of mind at a small cost. Thanks guys !!

Chilli Willie are the best! They take pride both in being extremely knowledgeable about HVAC technology and in doing high quality work, and are very professional and responsive. I first met one of the co-owners, Jared, about 15 years ago when he was working for another HVAC company and fixing a banging steam heating system in an apartment I was renting. I was so impressed by how knowledgeable he was and his willingness to take the time to explain what was going on and to actually fix a difficult problem that when I bought my own house I searched until I found him and Chilli Willie and hired them to install gas service, including a gas dryer and an outdoor firepit. Jared, Steve, and the several employees who assisted them did a fantastic job! I'm planning to have them come back this summer to replace an oil-fired boiler with a new gas boiler.

I can't recommend Akian Plumbing highly enough, not just for their expertise but for the responsiveness to phone calls, thoroughness in fixing a vexing problem as well as the dedication, courtesy and pleasantness of the technicians. All together a good experience!

Have not written any reviews before but am startled by the negative portrayal of longterm Plumbing and Heating Cambridge firm. I have used other plumbers for emergency and installation jobs and liked them. When it came time to replace our fifty year old furnace we started in researching in spring and chose Barrell. Other plumbers have uniformaly admired their choice of furnace and the workmanship. I would say the reception and scheduling is old school and if you kitchen floor has less than two inches of water ,even charming. No phone tree is a plus to me. That said I think their focus is on contract work. They more than lived up to the job and given our funky house it posed challenges. Crew was professional and they pointed out rebates and helped complete them. They were stellar for the job we needed them for.

Only reason I did not give them five is I don't like to gush and they are as New Englanders, not likely to want me to. Note:. They are closed on weekends, not a problem for me but it is a tip off for their focus.

Total sham. He tried to charge me $6800 to replace my AC (less than 10 years old) entirely and charged me $250 for him to diagnosis that, while he was only here for about 30 minutes. Another guy is fixing it for $2400. He also undoubtedly made my AC problem worse while he was diagnosing it. It ran before he was here, and it completely stopped after he left. I'm assuming to cause some urgency in this summer heat and just have my blindly agree to his $6800.

Given your previous reviews, please take the time to consider your answers. They definitely come off the wrong way and aren't inviting or welcoming. I understand it can be frustrating to get forwarded a job request on a quote but customers are still interested on any estimate they get. I thought it was me reading the tone a certain way by your response, but after seeing your reviews there is a pattern. Why start with 'We don't do cheap projects' ... and then suggesting what I can look up online' understand that perhaps that is exactly what the customer is doing ( due diligence) and doesn't need suggestions on how they sort through estimates. All you have to do is provide the quote, and feel confident on what your company provides. Please take the time to consider approaching yelp inquiries differently.
