The city water department notified us that we had leak in the main valve and needed to fix it. The same as our neighbors. Our regular plumber couldn't come out for 3 to 4 days, so, based on their commercial, we called Cummings. They came out, were told that it was a broken valve, but, they keyed on the PVC pipe which had also cracked at the valve. The piece that was replaced was about 2-2 1/2 ft long, a hole was dug to get at it. However, they recommended that the line from the main to the house should be replaced, 152 ft., to the tune of 6 or 7 thousand dollars. But the 2 ft section and digging would only be $1,000. We were in need of the water, so reluctantly, we agreed. We were told that it was fixed, the hole was covered, they left. Nothing was apparently done with the broken valve. Our neighbor came home, checked his, noticed that our valve was still leaking. It wasn't replaced. Cummings came back out the next day. Our water had to be turned off another day. The cost to repair our leak (replacing a 2 ft section of pvc pipe) was absolutely ridiculous. I would never recommend Cummings plumbing to anyone.

I have used Affordable Plumbing 3 times in the last year because of leaks in PolyB piping. Angelo has fixed the leaks in a timely manner each time and the last time he came out on a Sunday evening because he was booked with work the next day. I highly recommend Angelo and Affordable Plumbing. His prices are affordable as he advertises. He even reformatted his bills to meet the needs of my insurance company estimators requirements.

Air conditioning unit stopped working during heat wave (June 26th) in Tucson, AZ. Called Goettl for a service call. Technician arrived in a timely matter and diagnosed the problem within several minutes of arrival. We were told that we had a locked up compressor and that we needed a new AZ/Furnace system. I repeatedly asked if there was anything that could be done to get it working again - technician said NO.After a phone call with a project manager, we received quotes for different options priced between $19k-27k. After we decided we wanted to get a quote from another company, they went into high pressure sales tactics and over a 45 minute phone call, reduced the price down to $12k. We were pressured into making a decision on the spot for next-day installation in order to get the better price.In the morning, we had a repairman from another company come over before our install. Upon his arrival, he diagnosed the problem VISUALLY (I can tell you what is wrong with it without even testing anything) based on seeing a swollen (bad) capacitor. He restored the unit to working condition in less than 30 minutes at a cost of less than $200 (with a part he had in his truck). Repair man stated this was a very common issue and should have been diagnosed and fixed.I believe Goettl DID NOT TRY TO DIAGNOSE OR FIX OUR UNIT at all, and instead tried to take advantage of us during a heat wave. Their predatory, hard-sell tactics pressured us into signing a contract without an opportunity to get a second opinion. The technician did not test anything, and did not try to remedy our problem. They only wanted our money. Their prices are HIGHLY inflated, evidenced by the fact they were able to give us such a drop in price if we signed the contract on the spot.We cancelled our install without issue shortly before they were scheduled to show up. We did receive a call from the service manager with an apology. They offered us a membership to their service club as a way to say sorry (we declined).This company almost cost us an unnecessary $19,000+ replacement of a working A/C unit that needed a quick, cheap repair.

Anthony was able to repair the leak underneath my foundation, he has all the tools necessary and did a fantastic job with containment. I will use again and recommend to anybody looking for great customer service with quality work.

We've been using Pioneer Plumbing for three years, since we bought our new home. They have done extensive work for us and we have always been very happy with the quality and customer service from the plumbing crew. Danny Perez is absolutely the best and has gone above and beyond for us on multiple occasions, including in emergencies. We have loved having a plumber who we could count on and who genuinely cared about our needs. The back office has not always been so on top of things. Pioneer did a project for us in 2019 and neglected to bill us for over a year. A small piece of that project ($150) was repairing a pipe our exterminator broke, which the extermination company asked Pioneer to bill to them directly. When it was brought to our attention that they never invoiced us, we paid them right away, except for that small bill, which we asked Pioneer to send to the exterminator, and they did. Many months later, in September 2021, we got a call from Pioneer saying they had never been paid the $150. We'd had a death in the family and were out of state at the time, and asked for some time to follow up with the extermination company given the circumstances. We received a couple of voice mails from Mike at Pioneer over the next two weeks, followed by a text in week three threatening to send us to collections. We were once again about to travel out of state, this time for the memorial service. We have impeccable credit, because we always pay our bills, so on our way to bury my wife's mother I took time during a brief layover to call Pioneer and pay the bill so it wouldn't go to collections, knowing we would likely not now be able to recoup it from the exterminator. This was the last thing we should have had to think about at that time. This experience was so completely out of character for Pioneer and the excellent, personalized service we were accustomed to receiving. My wife spoke with an owner about it and apparently Mike was just doing his job and there was nothing wrong with the way he treated us, so we won't be using or recommending Pioneer again. Pro tip to local businesses: when a good loyal customer asks for a little extra time to take care of something in a time of crisis, and it's no big hardship to you, grant it. Your kindness will not be forgotten. If your company is a jerk to someone who is grieving and makes an incredibly hard time even worse, we are not likely to forgive that. All you had to do was show a little compassion and give us another couple of weeks, Mike, but you got your lousy $150. Hope it was worth losing a customer.
