I had a huge water leak and only found out about it when my water bill came! Panicked, I called Plumber in Tucson for leak detection service and repair and they had a plumber at my house WITHIN 30 MINUTES! The next morning, the crew showed up with smiles on their faces and tackled a very tricky project in order to resolve the problem. Jon and Scott were terrific. Don, the owner, spent a good portion of the day working alongside his employees. It's important to make an investment in our community by supporting local businesses here in Tucson. The crew was golden! They delivered over and above.They were respectful of my home, explained what they were doing as the day progressed and allayed my concerns every step of the way. I got quite an education as well, in what is hiding beneath the concrete slab and within the walls. I HIGHLY recommend using this company. We were all smiling by day's end. Look no further!

$150 for service call. He did not call before coming like we were told he would, I had stepped out for 30 minutes, my wife let him in but was busy, so I didn't get to be present as we had planned for.

He put a camera down the drain and showed my wife, and on a cell phone later to me, the build up on the sides. Explaining this was rust flaking from the sides. I was concerned about lint build up because this was a laundry drain. Truth is probably both.

Where I feel this was not good value: the only solution offered was an $800 dollar 4 hour chain grinding estimate. I rented a drill drain cleaner and solved the problem for $40 bucks and an hour of work with clean up. He had explained his concern of blocking/impacting the drain by just snaking the drain. This just doesnt figure out for me based on the small amount of material I pulled up and how quickly we cleared it.

This review has several updates. See below.8/2/23. Donny Bueno did an excellent job installing a sprayer to the master bedroom toilet. He was efficient, knowledgable, and took extra time to make sure I understand how the sprayer worked and how I could clean it and modify the length of the sprayer on my own if I wanted to after he completed the job. I hope he will do more work for me at the house as the need arises.3/2/23: Tyler and his assistant came back today to install a new faucet on our kitchen sink. He was quick and efficient and knew what he was doing. I will always ask for him when I have more jobs at Cal’s.Tyler Manley from Cal's Plumbing came today to check out various issues. He repaired a problem with the toilet and cleared out debris and hair from our shower drain. He inspected our kitchen faucet for possible dripping but we decided to wait and see if that continues and possibly replace the faucet unit in the future. Tyler was extremely competent, quick, and knowledgeable and very personable. The next time I need help from Cal's Plumbing (which has always done a good job for me) I will ask that he come out as our technician. He is really an asset to that company!Update 12-1-21. Ken Klecker from Cal's Plumbing performed two jobs for us during the last 10 days. He installed fixtures in our newly built shower, and he replaced two popup drains in the bathroom sinks. We will also have him install a new hot water heater in the next few weeks. We are delighted with the work Ken has done. He is a very meticulous and careful worker paying attention to details which are important, and he will go the extra mile. For example, when he saw the screws that came with the fixtures for the shower, he told us that we would be better off not using them because with time they would rust but instead we should get stainless steel screws and fittings. Because I was still unsure what kind to get Ken himself got the screws at the hardware store for us before he started the job. He didn't even charge us for them. It would have been so easy for him to simply use the screws we provided but he was too conscientious to do that.What we also like about Ken is that even though we are paying not by the hour but by the job, he takes his time to make sure everything is just right. He does not rush through the job to get done as soon as he can. He is also open and honest and we feel we can rely on him for good advice.In July 2021 Donovan from Cal's Plumbimg came to diagnose a problem with our drain and pipes. He was very professional, knowledgeable and a good communicator. He worked efficiently and was very careful to keep the area clean and not to track any mud or dirt in the house. He will be doing additional services for us, and I do recommend him.update: sept. 7, 2021. We had to wait for monsoon rains to stop for this work. Donovan was able to repair badly installed piping which previously did not allow repair of an obstruction by drilling through shower floor, reconfiguring water lines underground and cutting through outside wall to create a cleanout for any future problems. He was the best plumber my husband and I ever used. I cannot recommend him too highly.update june 5, 2023Jack came to do a inspection of my plumbing and also to flush the hot water heater. He is extremely conscientious and extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful communicator. I will definitely try to get Jack to do any further plumbing job I need. He is a real asset to the company.update june 12, 2023. Travis came to replace part of a pipe that had rusted. While doing so he noticed that our water pressure was dangerously high do to a bad regulator. He replaced that too. I asked him about a water softener system and he was so knowledgable i decided to go ahead and order one to be installed. Travis is first rate and a credit to the company

Very good service, Mark did a great job explaining details of a very old unit. Did not push replacement rather talked about what could be replaced in future vs one part that cannot be found for reasonable cost anymore. I appreciated the honesty.

Home warranty company sent Rooter King to diagnose and fix leaking faucets (kitchen / main bathroom). First technician said entire faucet needed replacing. Warranty company only offered lower quality faucet, which didn’t match other finishes. While my husband contacted me via phone to discuss what we wanted to do, the technician already replaced the faucet. My husband said he didn’t like it, so the technician got upset and rushed to take it off. He stormed out cursing taking the kitchen and bathroom faucets with him. Not only did nothing get fixed, but the technician damaged the inside of the sink. We called to complain - at first they denied responsibility, but then owned up to it. They sent someone out to take pics and measure the sink. Spoke to the supervisor who was going to have someone come with several options for faucets. Someone did come, but nothing was done. No work order was submitted for sink to be replaced or repaired. No work order for kitchen faucet either. They said there was no way to get in touch with the supervisors. That was almost a week ago. Since then, we had the warranty company send another plumber who came today and fixed both sinks. Surprisingly, they didn’t need replacement after all!
