Maplewood Plumbing did an amazing job replacing my leaky outdoor faucet. The original plumber they had scheduled to do the work got held up at another job and they were still able to get someone else out to my house for my scheduled appointment. They were timely and professional. I would use them again and would highly recommend them to others.

I bought an as-is house in University City last year, and reached out to Brooks Plumbing, as they are only a couple miles away. They were able to do everything I needed, including rip out cast iron stacks and about 20 feet of lateral, reseal toilets, install a tankless water heater, put in a new utility sink, and several other small items. For the huge scope of work, the price was very reasonable. They are quick to respond, always very nice, and happy to send someone by on a moment's notice to look at something since I live so closeby. This is a small, locally-owned business, so please check them out!

I purchased a very expensive boiler (20k) last winter for them for our radiator heat.  They came to try to fix the old unit and said that our only option was a new one.  After some debate, we moved forward.  The installation itself was OK.  They left the basement door open for most of the time, and I had to ask them several times to close it because we were freezing.  I tried to ask them how it was going while they installed it, and they would barely respond.  Given the cost, I don't think this was unreasonable.  After the install, it stopped working completely after about 7 days.  I was pretty upset. They sent out a technician off hours who had no idea how to fix it. It turns out that the reason it stopped working was because the exhaust valve was installed incorrectly.  Apparently, it wasn't windy the day of the install, but there was more wind later on, so it needed to be installed differently.  Yikes. It works well now in terms of heating up the home.  I will say that the cost savings from this unit were not at all what they told us. The salesman made all sorts of claims about all the money we would save to run the unit.  All of that wasn't true.  It is cheaper to run our forced air units (although the radiator heat is much better; it heats evenly, there is no dust blowing around, etc.). We do love the radiator heat, but it isn't cheaper.  Maybe it is cheaper than a 50-year-old boiler, but he knew that wasn't our situation.  We weren't using the radiator heat at that time, which is why they were there in the first place.  All of this was really disappointing, but today, after switching back from Hoffman, I had someone out for a separate issue, and he was asking me about the unit.  Apparently, we could have gotten a similar unit and used it for our hot water as well.  He said it would have been another ~$1,000 (compared to getting a new $3000 water heater).  I remember the salesperson mentioning that as an option very briefly, and I expressed some interest.  I don't really know what happened in that particular part of the discussion after that, but at the very least I didn't understand the options, because it appears like it would have been a no-brainer based on what I am hearing today.  I have no idea what to believe on this particular issue, but it just added to my overall disappointment about the experience, which is why I am writing this review.

I called Midwest Flood Restoration after mold formed from a plumbing issue. They responded promptly, and came to provide an estimate at a time was convenient for me. At the time of the estimate the process was explained thoroughly. I was also provided a pamphlet explaining the equipment and procedures used. On the day they started, they were there on time, and the owner of Midwest Flood Restoration was there to make sure everything was squared away. During the entire process they were EXCELLENT at communicating, worked with my budget and truly made this dreadful situation pleasant!

What a great experience. I would use them again, and again and again. Very prompt, knowledgeable, professional service. I called on Saturday 12/26 in a panic cause my line was clogged and it was backing up in my basement. He had two calls in front of me and reassured me he would be at my house that evening. Not only was he earlier than expected but solved the problem in a prompt manner. Other Company's I called that day could not even get to me the same day.Call Able Rooter the next time you have a problem and I promise you will not be dissapointed.

Plumbing Experts just completed a significant amount of work for me. Three different projects: installed a new gas line for a new cooktop, replaced leaky valves at my main and sprinkler system shutoffs, and my backflow valve. Most significantly, they replaced all the pipes in my master bath for a total rehab. In every case, the technicians were professional and trustworthy, and the quality of their work exceeded expectations. Chris was the salesman and he was very cooperative, and provided solid advice to this DIY'er. Tyler did most of the work and he was outstanding. Oh, another supporting note - I was talking to a salesperson at one of the largest plumbing supply houses in town and she said 'those guys are great'. I agree. I wouldn't hesitate to refer these guys.
