Came out to look at clogged line in our in-ground swimming pool. After looking at the diameter of the plumbing pipe ... told me he was concerned that their equipment was not suitable and suggested a few pool companies to call. Very professional and up-front.

This is the second time I have used Able Rooter to unclog separate drains. Both times, Tom and his crew were there within the hour. This kitchen drain was a mess and they had to work their butt off to get it unclogged. Have had no problems with either drain since.

Tom was very professional and told us cost upfront. Unfortunately the clog was way out there almost to the main line and it was extra for more line but he explained that to us. Came home on a Friday after work to find a clogged kitchen skin. Did some quick online research and found Able Rooter. Called Tom, and he suggested he could be there Sat. morning, my problem was that I had obligations Sat and would be traveling the following week. No problem says Tom, I'll be there in 2 hrs. 45 minutes later he's nocking on my door. It's a rainy night and while he could get access to the line from the basement, it's much cleaner from the roof. I agreed to hold the ladder and he happily carried his equipment on the roof and within 20 minutes, he had reached the clog and the sink was cleared. Simple, straight forward, extremely friendly, very professional and clean. I would call him again in a heartbeat!

I called on New Year's Eve, talked to Tom, no upcharge for the holiday, Josh was here within an hour. Poor guy spent a long time here including more than an hour on my roof in 14° weather and stayed till the job was done. They didn't over charge me either. I picked Able Rooter because of the reviews and I wasn't disapponted.

Had a kitchen sink clog thanks to a deep freeze and start leaking. Scheduled a service call with a national company that gave me a 4 hour block of time. Never called, never showed up. I called them and they could not tell me when they could come out. So I started looking elsewhere and found Able Rooter. Spoke to Tim and he was down at my house within 90 minutes late on a Friday night. Fixed my clogged drain, showed me what I needed to do to fix the leak, and even got in touch with me the next day to make sure that fix worked. Total professionalism from the minute I talked to Tom on the phone & Josh at my door within about 40 minutes. My basement floor drain was overflowing and Able Rooter were able to come to the house and take care of it right away. Tom was super friendly and professional. I will definitely call them for future plumbing needs.

The home inspection could not get the camera through the sewage line. Tom took my call and immediately came out to our new house. We had no idea how bad it was. The tree root have no chance. Extremely satisfied. They quoted their price, texted me to keep me up to date when they would arrive, and arrived earlier in the day than anticipated. They asked if there was an outside access, and got right to work. From arrival to finish was just under 1 hour, and they pulled out a significant amount of root ball clogging the sewer line. And their bill was exactly what was estimated, which was at least $200 less than I paid a national franchise a few years ago. If I sell my house, I'll have them out to water blast the entire sewer line.

I called Able Rooter for help with a clogged outside storm sewer at 8:30 on a Monday morning. Tom asked for my information and said he'd have someone text me asap. Josh texted me almost immediately and was at my home by 10:30. By noon he was finished and my drain was unclogged. Thank you Able Rooter. I will be using them again.

Tom was super helpful on the phone and gave me a few checks to do to help determine what our issue might be. We called late on a Friday and Tom came out early saturday (right on time!). Tom did a general assessment and then used his sewer camera to show our problem which was tree roots blocking our sewer line. Tom hydro jetted the sewer line, talking me through the whole process and showing me the improvement. Tom didn't leave until testing that the water flowed through and i saw the dramatic shift from standing water that was clogged to a good flow. I will definitely use Able Rooter again!

He was wonderful and charged the exact price quoted over the phone. Between my house and my rental property I've had a series of drain issues. I used to use roto-rooter but looked elsewhere a couple years ago to try and find someone a little cheaper. I did a Google search and found Able rooter. I've used them ever sense. They are very reasonably priced and always able to fit me in. I highly recommend them.

Our yard has two very large oak trees and roots were growing in the sewer line. Able was able to hyrdojet the roots out of the sewer line and were informed we should be good to go for several years! They were professional, courteous, and honest. On our original scheduled date, they were not able to get on the roof as needed due to rain, so we rescheduled right then and there AND they were willing to work around our work schedule to make it happen. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing services!

I called Tom at about 9:00 a.m. when our tenant reported that the sewer lateral for our rental house in Florissant was clogged. He promised to get it taken care of that very afternoon. My sewer drain in rear yard was backed up and overflowing. After spending $200 on an electric hand-fed machine and 3hrs later I just couldn't unclog it. Decided to get professional help. Tom called me back after leaving a message within 10min, and arrived at my house within 20min thereafter. Tom was very professional, quick to work and had my drain unclogged minutes later, but stuck around an additional 30-40min and fed his machine the full 110ft several times to make sure whatever clogging my drain was pushed through and clear. Tom charged $175. Called Roto-Rooter prior to his call back and they quoted me $250-$300.Definitely recommend and will use again should the need arise...

We worked with Tom and he could not have been nicer or more professional.Time - Tom let us know the approximate time of his arrival and kept us informed via text message of the progress of his current job and ultimate arrival at our house. He arrived when he said he would and wasted no time in getting to work. This went a long way given that the competitor plumber couldn't be bothered to show up or call when he missed the appointment.Work - Tom thoroughly inspected the clogged sink, pipes in the basement and the main stack before attempting to clear the clog. It took two attempts with the snake, but he got it cleared out and working perfectly. All the while, he explained what he was doing and offered tips on how to prevent future backups.Service - Tom was extremely polite to me and respectful of our home. He kept the work area clean and specifically asked for an old towel to lay down on the kitchen floor before he began working. He cleaned up after he was done and seemed genuinely appreciative of our business.Price - The initial quote for the work was $200, but Tom discounted the price to $175.While I hope to never need a plumber, it's a relief knowing we've found a qualified, reliable, courteous and affordable provider in St. Louis. They came out on a Sunday and cleared my main sewer line which had backed up into my basement. The line was pretty bad but they worked on it until the sewer line was cleared. Fast, professional, and knowledgeable.

Tom and Mike were awesome. We had a previous company come out and they did not offer NEAR the expertise and explanation that Tom did with our clogging issue. Previous company gave up when after 5 times attempting to clear leaving us with sewerage in the basement. Tom put the camera in. Found not 1 but 3 clogs the previous company didn’t. Previous company only went out 25’. Able went out 100’. He spent an 1.5 hours opening up the line and making sure the line was clear all the way to the city sewer. Explained everything he did the whole way while I watched. He invited me to watch so I could see with my own eyes what was in the line. Previous company told me that we would have to dig up the front yard and repair in the yard. 20 years experience in the business compared to 1 or 2 with the previous company. That’s what Tom and Mike bring to the table. And their price was lower than the previous company’s and we got the results. I’ll have Able Rooter maintain the line main every 18 months because of the tree roots we have, but sure beats having to rip up the front yard for nothing. Thanks guys!

I called them on Sunday for sewer emergency. Tom clearly communicated the cost, and confirmed that we have sewer access for his tools. He was at the premises in 2 hours to open a clogged sewer line. He fixed everything in 30 minutes or so saving our day, and he was courteous to help with another plumbing issue voluntarily. Had extreme issues with my kitchen drain that a weekend of tinkering with could not fix. Called Tom with the company on Monday morning, and he was able to offer me same day service on a non-emergency call. Unfortunately, I could not coordinate things on my end, but three days later, the gentleman (Josh) showed up and within 45 minutes, was able to get my drain cleared. Tom was very responsive and easy to communicate with. He took the time to really understand where the problem came from with some flooding in my basement to address which part of the house was causing the problem compared to other people who tried to tackle the problem beforehand. He uses a step wise approach instead of an easy fix to make sure there is a real fix. He is knowledgeable and took care of the problem. Able Rooter performed hydrojetting to remove roots in my sewer line. They were incredibly professional and responsive. This was a request from the buyer of my home, and they quickly reviewed the inspection report and video, and were able to come out the next day. They created another video of the work after completion and it’s evident it did the trick! They were also super fast to respond when I needed a lien waiver. If this is the kind of work you need, they are ABSOLUTELY the ones you should call. Total pros.

He explained the reasons for my drain issues that previous drain cleaners hadn't. Since the issues I have are roots, and are ongoing, I will use Tom with Able Rooter again. Take the time to call a small business like Able Rooter instead of a “chain company”. Highly recommended!Update : 9/20/18Since having Able Rooter come out on a few occasions, we now have them come out 2X a year for preventative maintenance on our main drain. We have issues with tree roots and live on a slab. Each time they clean out the main drain from the yard clean-out towards the house, and then they clean the drain from the clean-out to the street. We always get a “heads up” call prior to them showing up, and they get the main drain cleaned out efficiently and quickly. I’ve met them on my lunch break before and gone back to work.

Answered immediately and provided a fast response time within 24 hours. It was very affordable. In addition to fixing our clogged drain, he noticed some serious issues with our drainage near the house and made some recommendations of what we could do to fix it ourselves.

I had a basement floor drain that was backing up. With the April rains in Missouri, not a big surprise. I called a more nationally known service, which shall remain nameless. I was told MAYBE midnight to 4 AM. If not, then 8-10 the following morning. Then my wife found Able Rooter.I called and spoke directly to Tom. He asked a few questions to remotely diagnose the problem, and quoted me a price. He then drove 40 minutes to my house, arriving at 11:25 PM. The fix was simple, just a quick snaking, but the whole time he was working he was friendly, talkative, and courteous. He explained everything he was doing, and when I left the room, he continued the conversation with my wife. Most repair service techs I've had come to the house won't talk at all, or will only talk with the man of the house.Like I said, Tom was absolutely great, and friendly the whole time, despite the lateness of the hour, and having pulled him from his home. The price he quoted over the phone is the price I paid, and I'd gladly do it again.You're doing yourself a huge disservice if you go with any other company.

Last month, we woke up to our basement flooding due to our main stack being clogged, allowing the heavy rain to flow back into our basement. We called several plumbers and went with the first one who could make it out. That was a mistake. Fast forward to this past weekend, the same issue reared its ugly head. Our basement was flooded, and we were right back to where we were a month ago with the same issue. This time around, we called Able Rooter. Tom made it out that very day and was very knowledgeable of the situation. He showed me that the previous plumber used a spade to barely clear the line, resulting in a quick fix but not actually solving the problem of the grease blocking the pipe. Unlike the previous plumber, Tom took his time to diagnose the problem and used the correct tools to completely clear the pipe from the house all the way to the alley, meaning we will not have this issue again. I cannot recommend Able Rooter highly enough. They are very knowledgeable and professional! I will definitely use them again.

I am very happy with the work Josh did and feel very confident will not have to call anyone out again except for my normal 6 - 8 month tree root removal. Josh was very friendly and explained what he was doing and what the problem was. Also Tom was great when I called in for service and got someone out ASAP.

My dishwasher and kitchen sink were backing up/slow draining for a couple days, and drain cleaner and plunging were not helping. Then, a huge rainstorm come through one night, and my basement drain/sewer line started to back up, and fast. I couldn’t bail water quick enough so I knew it was time to call a plumber. Both problems were separate, but of course happened at the same time! In a panic, I called Tom at 830 pm, who answered right away and got me on his schedule first thing the next morning. They were here early and fixed both issues in a little over an hour. Incredibly polite and friendly, they clearly explained the problems and how to prevent future issues. I highly recommend them!!!Second time around - Jan 2020 - I had a different kind of backup in my basement, so I called Tom in again. Very prompt and friendly! He used the camera to figure out what was going on since I have a really old home in Maplewood. They found a broken piece of pipe that has been there for many years, causing major problems because it was essentially creating a dam. They were able to hydrojet the broken piece out and it worked! No problems since! These guys are great!!

We had a backup somewhere between our sink and our main sewage stack. After countless hours attempting to fix it ourselves (snaked, drain-o, etc.) we finally gave up after making the problem worse and completely stopping up the sink. We did the usual call around trying to find a good rate and ended up speaking with Tom. Tom was not only extremely professional over the phone, but also made an appointment to see us the next day, a Sunday, even though he was in the middle of catching a plane 6 states away.Tom arrived a few minutes early, which I personally appreciate and introduced himself. He asked to see where the problem was and then to see the rest of the plumbing. He quickly devised a plan and brought in the required equipment. What I appreciate the most though, is not only was Tom dedicated to fixing our plumbing issue, but was also concerned about not making a mess of our kitchen and preventing damage to our floors and other plumbing.Within 45 minutes he knocked out what took me 6 hours to make worse. He also took the time to explain some things about my plumbing that I had asked about. He was extremely friendly the entire time he was here and completed the job quickly and competently.Lesson learned, some jobs are too big to fix yourself, if you need a respected, polite, and competent service provider, Able Rooter is your company. Will be calling them for any future needs, and referring them to anyone that is looking.

Able came right out to clear a clog in my sewer drain. Roto-Rooter tried to clear the clog the day before but were unsuccessful. Able was able to clear the drain in less than half the time RR spent on it. I would recommend them to anyone!

As we were preparing our home for sale, I contacted Able Rooter as a potential company to water jet our lateral sewer. I explained to Mike that were not experiencing any problems with our sewer, but it was just in case. Mike gave me a bid (which was a good price) but recommended that we wait until we have an offer and subsequent inspection requiring drain clearing before doing the service. That way we wouldn't be out money if there was not a problem. He also said that they would give us priority if we needed their services. Well, the inspection did find some issues, and Able Rooter was able to come out in less than 48 hours. Mike and Tom were extremely friendly and efficient, were done in less than an hour clearing 2 pipes and provided an excellent videos with commentary of what they saw and had done. I would recommend them to anyone in need of drain clearage and would definitely use them again if I needed that type of service.

I called Drain Medics for their so called $75 deal and my basement kept flooding after having them out 2 times in 3 days. Able Rooter came out this week and fixed an issue with my plumbing stack. They were able to snake it from the roof since I don’t have an access in the yard. As soon as they did the first pass, the backed up drain cleared right away. We had a major overflow in our basement on a Saturday night. We couldn't flush a toilet, run the sink, or take a shower without poo erupting out of our basement drain. We called a ton of St. Louis plumbers and no one was willing to come out until Monday at the earliest. More than that, most places would have charged us extra for a sewer lateral exam that we knew we didn't need. Tom came out at 7:00pm on a Saturday and got us fixed up with the hydrojet no questions asked. No more poop, lots more showers. Thank goodness for Able!

Water backing up in my basement from the sewer drain and I was unsure of what to do! I called Able Rooter Sewer & Drain Cleaning and this was the BEST service I could ever hope for! Called late in the evening and he was at my house within an hour and located my buried sewer clean out in the yard and cleaned out the line and made sure it was all clear with a double check. Such a relief to see all lines draining! Very reasonably priced compared to other companies that I called that were rude and wanted to charge $100 more for same job! No nonsense approach and very honest about what needed to be done and did not try to charge me EXTRA for things I didn't need. I also want to comment on the exceptional good manners used by this man. One night after dinner I was doing the dishes and like any other normal night I threw everything down the garbage disposal including a large bowl of egg noodles, the big fluffy ones. This was the night I learned that's a big no no when it comes to your drains. After trying the garbage disposal for a good ten minutes, reaching in and clearing it out and water still coming up on the other side I finally called my husband in. He took off the pipe cleaned it out and it still was blocked. Needless to say he wasn't happy and just kept asking what I had put down there, now the women reading this will know you don't actually tell the entire truth in that situation of course 😉 So the next morning he called Tom with Able Rooter. Tom showed up after his day was supposed to be done so I would have my kitchen sink again. He also asked what I had put down the drain and I replied just a few noodles, now Tom had already been clearing our drains so he knew a few noodles was a stretch but he said nothing. Instead he explained our pipes to my husband that they go at a 90 degree angle leaving the house and after using the garbage disposal for 16 years mixed with the poor design of our plumbing it was going to happen no matter what. Our sink was working in under an hour, and our pipes were cleaned for my next round of noodles. Tom showed the utmost professionalism, made it so I didn't get in trouble lol, was on time, and the pricing was extremely reasonable especially with it being a rush and after hours. Saturday night in the restaurant business is typically our busiest night of the week. Having an issue with our drains or bathrooms could be a disaster! Tom got here within an hour and saved the day! After a week's worth of rain we started noticing water in our basement under the carpet. Tom from Able Rooter came out the same afternoon we called. We live in a rather old house which led to some interesting discoveries as Tom searched for the source of the water. However, he quickly located it and fixed the issue. I feel extremely confident in the job that Tom and his Brother did in unclogging my sewer drain. They came in behind another company who had less than 2 weeks prior done a very poor job of Not Totally unclogging the drain. Bottom line, these young men went above and beyond by using a camera and hydro blasting not only a Large root (missed by the other company) but even went 42 ft under the house to clean out a second clog. Very polite, honest, professional and knowledgeable. Worth EVERY penny!! Hope I don’t have to use them for a long time but Able Rooter will most Definitely be who I call.

I called Able to do a scope of sewer drain and clean. We did not have any issues, this was preventive. They communicated well, were on time and did what they said they would do. We did have a few tree roots that they cleaned out. Looking back I should have asked for a video of the clean sewer for records, should we sell or if MSD has an issue. I would use them again.

Had these guys out a few weeks ago to hydro jet my sewer line. They showed up within a couple hours on a Saturday no problem. Very nice and professional and everything seemed to work great. Unfortunately I had another backup yesterday, and they were happy to come back and look. They jetted the line again, and they also ran a camera. We discovered that there was actually a more serious problem than just a clog, they showed me on the camera and explained in clear terms so I could find someone to fix it. I’m sad that I have a bigger problem to deal with, but they couldn’t have been nicer about it. Would recommend them in an instant when you have a backup.

My recent drainage problems, caused by tree roots were quickly and expertly solved by Tom hydro-jetting the roots clear of the main drain line, while using a camera to observe the process.

My basement drain was backing up, so I contacted Able Rooter on Sunday requesting a quote on services. I was called within a few hours and was given a rough quote then and there. When we began to schedule the actual appointment, they stated that they were available to stop by that day (Super Bowl Sunday, no less!). I didn’t want to force anyone to have to work on Super Bowl Sunday if it wasn’t an emergency, so we scheduled the appointment for the following Monday. I asked them to e-mail or text me as I am not always able to answer my phone and they respected that wish. On Monday, they sent a text letting me know that they were on their way. They arrived right on time, were extremely polite and respectful, and went straight to work.They talked through everything they were doing and clarified if they had any questions. Unfortunately, they were unable to clear the clog in my drain (it was further than 100 feet out which is the max distance for their equipment), but they ran the drill through the drain four times to be absolutely certain that the clog wasn’t anywhere closer. When they told me about remaining clog, they were very apologetic. They explained the situation in full detail and let me know what process I would need in order to get the clog cleared as well as which company offered that process. They offered multiple times to clean up after themselves, but as there was another company coming out the following day, I didn’t see there was a need for it. Due to not being able to clear out the entire drain, I was billed just for the time and service they were there for. The entire process of dealing with Able Rooter has made a rather stressful situation much less so. I highly recommend their services to everyone.

I was very happy and impressed with Able Rooter. I Clled on a late Sunday and had an appointment for 7 am Monday.They showed up right on time an as werre friendly and got right to work. They explained what the were doing and after examining the problem and showing the video, they gave me some options.We decided to clear out the pipe. The process caused some noise but was fairly quick. Then he was able to show me the post video.The plumbers were friendly courteous and professional. We had a sewer line back up last Saturday night, and without realizing Able has 24 HOUR SERVICE, we called Roto Rooter. RR came and charged us nearly $500, but the sewer backed up again yesterday! I then called Tom at Able Rooter, and he was able to come out today. He cleared the line out 100ft which he said was nearly 70 ft passed where RR pushed the clog. This is the second time we have used Able, the first time was nearly 2 years ago. I regret we didn’t call him on Saturday night, but he will definitely be the only person we call from now on.

Tom arrived at the time we agreed on. He worked on the secondary line for a long time until it was running smoothly. That was the problem drain post Christmas eve party. It had been 5 or so years since the last cleanouts and in an older home with a finished basement I try to keep ahead of disasters. True story: Tom at Able Rooter Plumbing saved me $8,500. My sewer lateral is nearly four times as long as some other homes. Tree roots infiltrated the line at 20 different points of entry (filling nearly the entire length if it) which caused a severe back up. Multiple plumbers recommended complete replacement of the line. No one can promise you a specific result with a problem as bad as mine was, but after only two hours of work Tom's hydrojet had cut and pulverized the extensive root growth that everyone else thought was a lost cause. My line is now cleaner than the day I bought my home 15 years ago. In pursuit of a miracle, this time I called Able Rooter last. But Tom and his team proved themselves to be saints, so if problems arise for you, I recommend you save yourself the headache (and a whole lot of money), and just call them FIRST!

Tom is my hero!! My kitchen sink drain backed up last night, so I called Drain Medics...Huge mistake. They charged me $125 and spent 2 hours and did nothing!! Nothing creates more chaos than a backed up sewer drain first thing in the morning. As I made frantic calls for help, Tom @Able was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. He was able to quickly explain a process whereby he could fix the problem while I was at work. They use a hydro jet to clean the sewer line from the street, safe for our 100 year old home. In addition to fixing the presenting problem, he took the time to explain the current status of the pipes (a-ok!), the problem (no slope), and a recommended maintenance plan. Fantastic experience with Tom and Mike today. They hydrojetted and cabled my 115’ heavily blocked sewer lateral, and located a buried sewer clean out in my yard. Able Rooter is my new go to plumbing service. I don't know of one plumbing company that doesn't charge extra for outside regular business hours. I went downstairs to do laundry and found that my main drain had backed up...this is Sunday morning. My heart sank as this was a flashback of 2 years ago. Tom answered the call personally. He quoted me a very fair price for an after hour sewer backup. He told me he would be there in 45 minutes and was there in 40. He took the time to explain what he was doing. He had state of the art equipment I had never even seen before to cut through some pretty nasty roots in the line. I had been stood up by another plumbing service who shall remain nameless, but their initials are Roto Rooter.... every other plumbing service I called told me it would be 3 to 5 days before they could come out to unclog my floor drain in the basement. This gentleman who referred me was very apologetic that he could not get to me before Thursday (I've been without service since Sunday evening by now.... Yesterday was one of the worst days of year for me. Sick, working on about 4 hours of sleep, rushing to get the house ready for Christmas before the family descends upon us. I was greeted with a ball-kick of a situation with a blockage of our main drain at 5:30AM. Now I own rental property in the area, so this wasn't a panic situation at this point. I simply texted my normal drain guy that runs the cable through for us and they showed up around 8AM. After 3-4 hours of running the cable from every direction, we simply couldn't get this thing unplugged. We did pull out about 1.2 million tampons and butt wipes, but that made no difference. My drain guy admitted defeat and said I needed someone to come jet the lines out with a warning of cost involved. I began googling and dialing, expecting a to be penciled in for later in the afternoon (at this point it was around 1PM). What I got instead was we can be there next Wednesday (ie, the day AFTER Christmas, a full 6 days away), and let me check with my tech and call you back, and ultimately I got an appointment setup for the following evening with some other company. Imagining the chaos of dealing with 3 dogs and an angry girlfriend in a hotel (remember the tampons I mentioned?), I decided I wasn't ready to admit defeat. I dialed one more number. I got a swift call-back from Tom at Able Rooter. I explained the situation and how I really needed this thing dealt with today. I was desperate. I think I even said I'm desperate, that's how desperate I was. Thankfully this was all a matter of routine for Tom and his crew. He assured me he would be sending one of his guys by the shop to grab the equipment and they would text me on the way. An hour or so later the tech arrived, followed shortly by Tom. Both were very professional and knowledgeable. While the tech was working the sprayer from the outside, Tom and I were monitoring the basement drain on the inside. We had some time to chat and I got to learn about him, his business, and mindset. Unfortunately our conversation was cut short since it only took about 20 minutes to get things cleared, but in that short conversation I learned that Able Rooter, it's owner, and employees are definitely top notch. They care about results and understand that the small details mean everything. You can't go wrong with these guys. Next time this happens to us, we know exactly who to call.

just bought a house and during the sewer inspection they said there was a blockage and some damage, he suggested that his company do hydro jetting and than call a plumber to do the repairs. I chose not to use him. I found Able rooter on line and boy I am glad I did. they showed up on time and were set up to do the hydro jetting, but first they scoped the line and cleared the blockage and scoped it again and showed me that the entire line was in very good shape with no damage and would NOT need the hydro jetting. Tom and his team were phenomenal! We were really worried about finding the right service to unclog a drain at an older building in the city. Older plumbing systems can be tricky! He explained the process they would use step-by-step to make sure we were informed along the way. They used a hydro jetting system and it worked to clear the line when we were unsuccessful using a snake ourselves. They were friendly and professional and would definitely recommend them.

On 6-17-2017 my basement flooded from my sewer drain, uhm, not to be gross, but it was so awful! I called Able Rooter and they came out to my house within 30 minutes and had the pipes running to the street and the pipes running to the house cleaned out. It turned out to be just a soft clog which was just toilet paper. They were honest, fast, efficient in getting the job done and reasonable in priced.Update: 7-13-2017 I changed my homeowners insurance, rates too high. New insurance found out from the old insurance that I had a backup and they were going to cancel the underwriting my new policy if I didn't show the them the receipt that the repair that was done. I had already threw the receipt from Able Rooter away, but I had their refrigerator magnet!! I called them at 5 pm and spoke with Able Rooter and gave him my name and phone number and whala he text me my receipt to my iPhone within seconds! THAT IS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! So the magnet will stay on my fridge until it breaks down, Lol ;)

I called Able Rooter around 8:30 on a Saturday morning because my basement drain was backing up due to roots in the sewer line. They were extremely responsive and at my house hydro-jetting the sewer line before noon that same day. They explained and showed me the issue with a camera for no extra charge. All around it was an extremely quick and seamless process, will definitely use them again next time I need the line cleaned out.

We had a backup of our basement drain the night before and called Tom the next morning. He quoted us a reasonable price based on my description of the issue and shortly thereafter estimated the time that Josh would arrive. Josh called later, saying he was running a little late (roads were bad due to icy weather) but was on the way. After arrival, Josh went to work, determined where the outside drain was located, and started working on the problem. In a little over an hour after his arrival, the blockage was cleared, and the price was exactly as quoted initially. I was impressed with the professionalism, work and demeanor of both Tom and Josh. Both are good guys and I would certainly use them again in the future.

Used this company a few times. They are on time and thorough to complete the job properly. This weekend, they gave me a time window which they met and was able to clean out the stack in short order. They used a few different cables multiple times to make sure they removed the clog completely. They are the company I call first when I have a clog.

Called them late Sunday about a clogged sink. Less than 2 hours later a technician arrived and resolved the issue. I will use them again, and would recommend them to someone else.

Called Tom to clear tree roots from a completely blocked lateral about seven years ago. Did a great job. Eventually (this week) needed help again. This time he showed up within a couple hours of my call with his state of the art Hydro Jetting equipment. Left the pipe so clean that it will take many more years to be a problem again. He explained everything, showed me the camera view inside the sewer line, and couldn't have been nicer. Deserves more than five stars, IMHO.

Roto Rooter wanted $269 to clean out lateral sewer line which was ridiculous. Called Dippel Plumbing next morning 8am was told someone would come out before 4pm and clean out the line for $125. After waiting around all day for someone to come out, Dippel Plumbing called back at 3:55pm to inform us they had an emergency and would not be coming out. Since this was late Friday afternoon they wanted to reschedule us for the following Monday. We informed them that this was unacceptable to wait an entire weekend without flushing toilets, showering or running any water in the house. Their response was sorry. Got on line and found company called ABLE ROOTER. Spoke to Tom on the phone said he would be out in less than to 2 hours for $175. Tom came out and was the nicest person you would ever want to meet. He explained the problem with sewer lines and showed us some of the roots he removed from our line. He cleaned the line out with a larger blade and then cleaned the line a second time with a smaller blade. Tom was professional and cleaned the job site after he was done. Tom told us he charges the same price no matter what day or time it is including holidays. We are going to use Tom again from ABLE ROOTER to clean out our line again in a couple of years for preventive maintenance.

My second time to call Able. First was a year ago. I called today with a backed up basement drain and he was here in less the 1.5 hrs. Good service as usual.

Called Able Rooter on a Sunday at about 1:45 in the afternoon- 2 hours after my husband had been trying to unclog the drain and was getting no where. The sewer in my basement backed up and I called the aptly-named Able. They were able to come out sooner than originally expected. Both professional and friendly, Josh diagnosed the problem and resolved it, then even went back and double checked everything to make sure I was good. He recommended I look into a county program that provides ground level access which would make the process both less expensive and more effective next time. Tom fixed my problem! I had been having problems with my main drain for a long time. He came out with the hydro jet machine and worked magic. My pipes had huge roots before, blocking water almost completely. After he was done they looked completely clear. I appreciate him talking me through the process and showing me everything with the camera. I will absolutely recommend him to family and friends

I called Able Rooter this past Sunday morning(4/30) at 8 am. Quoted the price and the work Tom will get done which included the Hydro of my lateral line and send the camera down to check for cause and recommendation for fix if necessary. Not used to that because most charge by time and length of line. Those add up.Tom arrived at 10:30 am of a two hour window 10 to noon. I was at ease with the phone conversation with Tom. When I met him in person, it was off the charts confidence in his ability to get the job done.Work was completed as promised! I have a flat section of my lateral not in need of repair at the moment.Long story ending: If in need, Able will be my first call for help!!Thanks again Tom!!!

Tom and the team are incredible! Easily the best, service, and solution to our clogged sewer drain I've evere seen! OMG !!! Josh came to my home 8/19/2018 and fix the backed-up sewer drain in my laundry room. I made the emergency call about 8:22pm to Able spoke with Tom who assured me someone will be available within an hour or two because they were on another emergency call. Josh arrived about 9:50pm and accessed the problem & began to work.In less than a full hour Josh had successfully cleared the sewer drain, cleaned up the area . I called at 6pm and was able to schedule an appointment for 9am the following morning. My laundry room drain was clogged and they were able to clear the pipes in less than 20 minutes. I spent 2 hours myself the night before! Definitely would reccomend! Roto-Rooter told me they couldnt help me for 3 days and was over double the cost!
