This is probably the most cruel someone has ever treated me in a professional setting. When I discovered that I was overcharged by an hour and called to inquire with Wallace Van Allen—the owner—I was name-called, demeaned and told that I should be charged *more* just for wasting his time on the phone. He refused to even hear my perspective, spoke over me talking in circles and making things up, and ultimately told me I was wrong and refused that I had any legitimate perspective, even though I had doorbell camera footage proving otherwise.

Beware of this company unethical methods , they purposely will not have the parts so they charge $120 per hour commute to bring it. The charge time starts from the moment they leave their office . Replacing a hydrant that required 1 1/2 feet deep digging was going to cost over 650.00. So I paid for the digging and let them go .
Employees were courteus and professional , but I will never call this company again , EVER .

Spoke with Taylor in the AM and was scheduled with Clarence for the same day in the afternoon.

Clarence arrived as scheduled and assessed work previously done by a different company. Clarence was upfront about pricing and even ran over to Home Depot at one point to pickup a piece we needed. All within the allotted time.

Clarence explained his work each step of the way, like a good doctor would.

We’re pleased with the work he did and could easily recommend IHS to others and will call on them if we need future work.

Cannot even give a ballpark price to snake a drain without seeing it in person..

Response to owner, I called two places after and was able to quickly get fair quotes in less than 5 minutes. One came out a couple hours later and fixed the problem. Maybe you should stop using an answer center.

I had a bad experience with these guys. I called them because my water heater was leaking. Jason came out and said the valve was bad but didn't have the part on his truck. He went to Home Depot and purchased the part, returned and installed it. Next day water heater is still leaking. I called again and asked for a different service tech. I was told that if they sent another tech I would be charged another service charge. To avoid the additional $100 I agreed to let Jason return. This time he decided it was a different thing and fixed it. But I got billed for another service call. NOT HAPPY. I've called and talked to them about it but they insist that I owe them for two service calls for the same thing.

My service appointment was excellent. The technician took great care of my furnace.
