Best Tankless Water Heater in Portland OR

I found a big ol' leak in the water heater at 8pm on a Saturday night and Joe had the whole thing replaced by noon on Sunday. He was fast, friendly, communicative about ETA and progress, and did the whole thing himself in a dark, damp basement that is 90% spider webs, down the narrowest death trap stairs. Absolutely legendary. I couldn't be more grateful for the expediency. Would highly recommend to anybody and everybody!

3 Mountains Plumbing did an amazing job. My hot water heater cracked and while the other plumbing companies I contacted told me they were weeks out, 3 Mountains moved me to the top of their cancellation list and installed a new hot water heater in a few days. They were incredibly professional, courteous and competent. They did a great job and I will use them for all my plumbing needs going forward. Thank you 3 Mountains!!!

I called Power Plumbing with a pipe burst and flowing water under our house from the cold weather. Unfortunately, every other plumber was dealing with the same issue all around Portland due to below freezing temps. I was on the wait list with 10 plumbers till calling Power Plumbing. They were so helpful and showed compassion upon hearing my situation. Christine said they were also booked up till the next day but she would try one more option to see if she could help. Little did I know she had called the owner, and within minutes, his truck was pulling up to my house! He quickly discovered the problem and solved the problem within minutes. I will call Power Plumbing for all my future plumbing issues. They provided exceptional customer service and did it with urgency and a smile! Thank you Power Plumbing!

Bob Nichols was courteous, prompt at returning my calls and professional. He was able to fix all 3 of my plumbing problems in an hour, charging a very reasonable rate. I am very pleased with Nichols Plumbing and would highly recommend him to anyone needing a local plumber.

Cameron Cooper came out and scoped our sewer for issues and to find the depth and placement of the line. He discovered a few issues we weren't expecting and helped us understand what was needed to take care of them. He put our minds at ease and got us in touch with an estimator for our project. Left this on Yelp, too, but just want to get the word out on a great plumber: Had a great experience with Steve Ackerman (the son)! Called with a leak issue (from the ceiling), and while they couldn't work me in for a couple of days initially, they called back shortly after the same day when they had a cancellation. Steve arrived when he said he would, was polite, personable, and thorough. He tried to minimize the damage he had to do to the drywall to find the cause of the leak, and he explained every step of the way. It required another trip out to the house to get everything resolved (to allow time for drying of wet wood), but he was efficient, thorough, and left my house even a bit cleaner than when he arrived. Nice guy, obviously very knowledgeable about what he does, and he gave great advice. I will DEFINITELY use him if I ever need a plumber again.

Tim and his team know how to run a business! He gave us expert and truthful advice on moving the replacement water heater, then followed up quickly with a quote to do the job. He pre-scheduled so that we could remove the old heater one day, prep for the new one, and came on time to install the new heater. They even called ahead to confirm the times -- and then came when they said they would. We are totally pleased and satisfied with the whole process. Not one of the other four contractors we contacted were businesslike operators. Rowe stands as tops in his profession.

Rick at Fast Water Heater (FWH) installed a new water heater in my home on 3/25/2014. I found the water heater at Home Depot; Home Depot referred me to Fast Water Heater for the install. This was not a same day install, if that makes any differrence. I have no ties to FWH, the plumber Rick, or anyone else involved in this review.

To summarize, I would definitely use FWH again and would definitely recommend them, and Rick, to my friends. Assuming FWH does other types of plumbing work, FWH/Rick would be my plumber of choice.

Someone at FWH called me the same day I was at Home Depot to purchase a water heater. The person that assisted me on the phone was great and very knowledgable. FWH was going to pickup, install, and take away my old heater. The water heater I wanted Home Depot was no longer carrying (it was on close-out); and there were questions regarding physically fitting the water heater into the space where the old one was and whether the power line could handle the water heater. With the help of FWH, I double checked both fit and available power and then FWH checked on their computer to see what Home Depot had available. With the expertise of FWH, we picked a water heater and scheduled an install for the following day within a two hour window. Not having to wait all day or all morning/afternoon was a pleasant surprise.

The install day we got a call from the plumber asking if he could come early. This was good. The plumber was Rick; he was licensed and knew what he was doing. The way the old water heater was installed was not to code so he took the time to explain to me exactly what -- any why -- he needed to do certain things to meet code. I know there are a lot of people that question codes, but being an engineer I know that most times there are very good reasons for the codes. It did raise the cost but the raise was not significant and reasonable; this rings especially true after comparing the before and after.

Rick did an excellent job installing the water heater and redoing the plumbing to meet code; the work Rick did is exempliary. Before Rick, the plumbing was a rat's nest; after Rick it's clean and neat and easier to deal with. Obviously I picked the water heater so I'm hoping it lasts; FWH gave excellent advice along with telling me they would not install an open-box water heater. Apparently they have had problems with open-boxes so they will only do new sealed-box heaters; this is good advice, imho.

I don't know about labor pricing as I didn't have time to run around and get estimates. From previous plumbing work I've had done, I'd have to say the price was fair (as in not overpriced nor underpriced) for the work -- no gouging, no games -- and that the work was excellent. I appreciated that Rick reused the few pieces worth reusing from the previous plumbing (certain brass fitting) rather than simply tossing them.

All in all, dealing with FWH and Rick was a pleasant experience. It's nice to find a locally owned (Pacific Northwest) company that does quality work at a reasonable price and, from talking with Rick, treats their employees well.

Great job. Polite scheduler. Technician (Felix) was early!! Job was completed quickly and work space cleaned up.

Call the company for the first time a man answer the phone did not tell me the company name just said hello super standoffish I asked if he can come out to check out my home he said no he can’t I asked him if he can refer to anybody he said no and hung up on me super weird I would not recommend them
