I recently purchased my first home. Needless to say me and my boyfriend are pretty clueless when it comes to maintenance so we purchased a home warranty plan. A few days ago our AC goes out (just as soon as we are starting to hit triple digits) so I put in a service call. First they referred me to some company where I left multiple messages for 24hrs and never spoke to anyone. I call my home warranty service back the next day to complain and they refer me to A Better PlaceLLC. I received a call from Scott (the owner) saying he would be out that day and he was at my home a few hours later. He's professional, confident, has a sincere friendly quality, knows what he's talking about and keeps it real. He's also friendly with pets :), my lil 4yr old french bulldog Bella was having the best time trying to distract him in anyway she could. After finding the issue with the AC he made a call in my favor to the warranty company that helped ensure that they cover the replacement part right away. He had the part readily available, and AC was back that night. From now on when I call my home warranty service I will only request A Better Place and should be TOP on the list. I also hired Scott to clean the coils of the air handler to help maintain the unit and have it working efficiently for the rest of the summer. He squeezed it into his schedule and returned the same week. This maintenance service is not covered by home warranty plans. The quote he gave me was the MOST REASONABLE PRICE OUT THERE, and you couldn't ask for any better service. A Better Place is truly the BEST PLACE. I highly recommend you CALL THEM FIRST. I was alarmed that my new HVAC system did not seem adequate for my home. It would not keep my 1900 sq. ft. duplex cool enough in the afternoon to keep me at the comfort level I require, I have COPD and with the medications I take the heat affected me badly. I complained and ACE sent a man out to check it out. He told me my unit was running just fine and no air conditioner will keep you cooler than 30 degrees lower than the outside temp. That I did not know so here on out I will have to super-cool the house in the cooler early hours and hope it will hold for the afternoon and evening (my garage was still 110 at 1 AM last night) We have had record breaking temps of 115 to 117 this week. Next fall when the attic cools off I plan to make changes to my ductwork.

Omg THE BEST EVER. Had an issue with a hot water heater that Joe installed a couple of months ago called him this morning here he came running all the way to Wickenburg to resolve the problem. The issue had nothing to do with the time consuming job Joe did previously it was due to lack off attention from my EMPLOYEES. He's awesome resolved the issue and was more than fair with me. I love this hardworking family they are fair honest & DEPENDABLE. More than I can say about the rest of the plumbing companies around.

I am maintenance technician with an apartment complex in Peoria. I can tell you that they do not respond after hours and their emergency service that’s supposedly 24/7 does not exist. I have had sewer backups and piping issues go unanswered for days forcing us to call out a different, less preferred vendor. When work finally does get done it suspect at best. From one professional giving comment about another business, I would recommend you use someone else.
