We have a contract with Chas Roberts.. This time, our AC went out. I had an appointment within 24 hours. The tech troubleshot our issue quickly and we were back up and running. I can’t get over how expensive these repairs are - thank goodness they are infrequent. The techs are always professional and knowledgeable. I feel that our equipment is well-maintained. A minor thing, in general, as a maintenance contract customer, I wish they were more proactive in ensuring that we have timely seasonal maintenance visits. We still have to call them and we don’t always get the timeframe we want.

Our heater went out in the middle of the night. The next morning my husband called Chas Roberts AC and they sent Alejandro out ASAP. Alejandro fully explained everything that was happening with our system, which we greatly appreciated since our builder never explained any of these things to us, and this is our first home. Alejandro was thorough and efficient. He remedied the issue immediately and was very kind and professional. We are extremely satisfied with Alejandro and Chas Roberts AC. We are so thankful that we felt prioritized and didn't have to wait to get the issue fixed.

Want to say what a blessing it was to receive this new AC unit. Everyone involved from Sissy, Noah, Dave and Jose in getting the unit installed was fantastic. Everyone was very professional, polite and diligent in getting the job done with no issues. Jose the technician was very knowledgeable in doing his job. He explained everything and we felt very confident in his workmanship. Thank you to everyone at Chas Roberts.
I had a water pump that was stuck in the on position, burning up, and spewing water everywhere. I called and they had someone out in 30 minutes to help me. Evan, my tech, was so knowledgeable and worked at quick as possible. I will definitely be using them in the future!

I called Chas Roberts because they installed our AC system a little over a year ago. Apparently the install warranty is only 1 year...My thermostat died, and the only reason I called them over my handyman and/or preferred AC contract was because they were the ones that installed and purchased the current thermostat (which had a 5 year warranty from Honeywell). I was charged $241 of labor just to replace a thermostat. (Did not include part price). I told them upon call that the thermostat was bad. 5 min of work for $241 seems insane. I was told hourly rate was only $150/hr however thermostats are a flat $241. Why would they charge more than the hourly rate? Will not be calling again.

I had a heating issue that a technician came to fix a week ago but the issue came back days later. I’m glad I got Alejandro this time. Alejandro was very thorough and identified the root cause that the previous technician missed. Not only did he fix the issue, he explained it in a way that was easy to understand and told me 3 ways I could make sure my AC unit functions more efficiently.
Very personable and friendly technician. He was very knowledgeable but it took some time to resolve the issue. I had to cancel a previous appointment scheduled due to longer service time. I am overall satisfied with Chaz Roberts and will recommend Benjamin as a technician as well. The customer service is excellent and the timing was good as well for my morning. It just took some time to resolve the issue.
Had a Technician come out to my parents house and they were very professional and knowledgeable. They also didn't try to pressure my parents into buying a bunch of unnecessary stuff. My dad has bad allergies so we did get an Air Scrubber installed and it's made a huge difference. It was great to have someone who was able to come out the very next day that we called to get them up and running again.Our neighbors had another company out to their house before we had Chas Robert's come out, and the neighbors said they had a horrible experience. The other company wanted to charge $600 to replace two fuses. The Chas Technician went over and changed the fuses for just over $250 bucks. I recommend Chas Robert's to all my friends and family.
We had a recall on a part of our furnace and the after the part was installed by the company the manufacturer sent the unit didn’t work. We called Chas and the 2nd tech Alejandro that was sent out was truly exceptional. We went above and beyond to assist us with getting our unit working. Chas you need to keep him, his customer service is one of the best I have seen in a very long time. Not to mention he and another gentleman stayed till almost 730pm to make sure our unit was working ! Thank you again

I had a new board installed and had to call for someone to come out the next day because the heater was going through the wrong zones. ALEJANDRO came in educated me on everything including how the blower works, the dampers, and even filter suggestions including what MERV rating that will benefit me. He resolved the issue super quick and was very knowledgeable. My new board is working flawlessless with all 3 zones heating correctly. This man needs a raise!
I am only giving the business 3 stars. The technician (Alejandro) I am giving 5 stars. I would give more, if that was an option. Alejandro did in one visit, what Chas Roberts should have done in three. Because of poor workmanship before him, he had to work longer on the hood above my gas cooktop. He is extremely knowledgeable, and even explained warranty and maintenance. He was also very personable. It's refreshing to see people who actually BELIEVE in customer service! If you ever have any Chas related issues, be sure to ask for Alejandro! I couldn't be more pleased with the service call.

Nov 4 2022Installed register in pantry that was not installed when house was builtNew build install & year end followup warranty inspection. They were earlier in the year called and asked to find out why fresh air fan was not working. Found it unplugged. Year end inspection found that the blower taps were set for the wrong speed. They corrected the issue. There was not enough air temp drop difference .Was around 16, now around 21.Knowledgeable technician found the issue and corrected it.

My initial contact with the company was during my new home orientation. The technician was delayed due to an accident on the highway. I was notified and given updates to when he would arrive. When he arrived he was apologetic, then got into the orientation and inspection. I appreciate his professionalism, way of explaining the AC system and him reporting another unrelated issue he found during the inspection. Overall it has been a good experience.

Nolan was very courteous and professional! He knew what to do in order to connect the zones in order for our home to heat properly. After connecting the zones, he checked each vent to ensure that heat was coming out of them. He also took the time to obtain an answer for my husband regarding adding a humidifier to our home. I had a problem with the hose vibrating to my other bathroom. I scheduled an appointment and he was on time and very professional. Cameron was very informative and explained the reason for what he was doing and he checked all the rooms and even inside the I guess u would call it “crawl space”. Raymond came to our house this morning to perform a warranty check on the heating & air conditioning system. He was very professional in his work and very friendly in his manner. He found a broken duct support and replaced it. He checked every room with a temperature probe to ensure we had temperatures within 2 degrees of the thermostat setting in every room. He checked the differential between the vent output and return inputs and made sure they met spec. Overall he did a wonderful job and would be welcome in our home again should the need arise. Thanks for sending such a knowledgeable and friendly technician. Highly recommended!
Chas Roberts replaced our water heater. Leon Santiago responded to our service call last night at 10:00. He was at our house this morning at 7:30 with a new water heater. He replaced our 10 year old water heater in a timely, professional manner. He left the area as clean as he found it.We have also used Chas Roberts for our HVAC and have always been happy with their work and products.

What a wonderful experience. I called this morning when I realized an outside spigot was leaking and they were able to get me in the same day. The driver arrived when he said he would and had the leak fixed quickly. He was very kind and explained everything as he was doing it.

Had Chas Robert’s out for a warranty call unrelated to the main issue, while they were out I mentioned our heater wasn’t working. The tech happily got up in the attic and identified the problem without making me schedule a separate service call. chas Roberts had the part ordered, received, and someone out to install it in less than a week. I am very happy with their service and handling of our warranty items.

Alejandro Lisboa is a great and educated technician who stopped by to help with my microwave duct. Upon finishing his work, I started to pick his brain about service contracts and how AC and Heat work with our currently installed system. He educated me on my current system and so I went down the rabbit hole of asking about air filter and was also educated on that. Alejandro is a the man with plenty of knowledge and experience. I contacted Chas Roberts about a failed thermostat. The unit is still under warranty and I was told there would be a $85 trip charge. But since the part was initial installed by Chas Roberts and under warranty I agreed to pay for the trip. When the technician arrived he told me the thermostat was bad and even though the part is warrantied I would have to pay $250 for the service !! So Chas Roberts is charging me $335 for service on a unit I could order from Amazon for $122. Very deceptive sales practice especially considering they installed the original equipment that went bad under warranty.
Alejandro was the only one that could solve the heating problem. He also took the time to go over the filters and keeping the thermostats at the sane temperature. He was knowledgeable and helpful.
Our technician Bruce was very professional. He was knowledgeable and took the time needed to diagnose our problem. We would highly recommend him and the Chas Roberts Team.
In addition to locating and repairing the water leak, they also tested the walls to look for moisture. Once detected, they contacted a business partner that was able to get out the next morning to remove the mold and clear the damage. All very quick and professional!

I needed A/C system repair and Chas Roberts did a fantastic job. They were able to send out a Tech in about 30 minutes. The technician (Say Hay) arrived on time and solved the problem quickly. Great overall experience!!!
First off, Alejandro was AMAZING!!! I just bought a brand new build and was having issues with the house cooling down. First thing he did was educate me on using my touch pad thermostat which I've never used before coming from apartment living. As soon as he fixed the issues, I could tell a difference right away. Yes he fixed my AC issues but most importantly he educated me at the same time which is not the norm. His services and education is greatly appreciated. I'm not a fan of using vendors I see on commercials because of bad previous experiences but now I'm a Chas Roberts customer for life!
We came home after vacation to find our air conditioner had stopped working. Since it was Sunday I didn't expect anyone to be available but they had a technician come and repair it. Jeremy was thorough and explained the repair. He then waited to make sure it was working correctly. All in all great service.
These are pictures of my HVAC unit on a new build in Morrison ranch. This is my Honeywell electric air purifier. The picture is the part that supposed to come off that they sealed shut. I had to have the guy who gave the orientation scrap it off.Now months later I try to clean the filter and wonder why it won’t fit back inside correctly. Well that’s because they drilled through the unit into the track the filter slides on. The Fulton homes lady advised me to call and schedule them to repair it. I tried online and also called to get this scheduled.I was told they cannot call Fulton Homes and get a “work order” it’s my job. Not the run around I’m supposed to be doing on a house that’s brand new. I would prefer a professional install what I paid for not for me to do the running in circles however Everyone I’ve came into contact with is a nice person unfortunately highly incompetent installers on new builds…..
My first impression of Chas Roberts was terrible. I had to keep following up to get anything done. After I posted a 1 star review and posted on social media I finally heard from them. A tech came out 5 weeks after the 1st visit to repair/replace the board the other tech broke. Our heat finally worked.The other day when it got hot outside I was notified by email our house temp went up 4° when it should have been cooling. The fan would come on but the unit was silent. So I contacted our builder and they contacted Chas Roberts for me. They scheduled me for the very next morning! Nice.Alejandro called me before he arrived at 10am. Right on time. He promptly figured out the issue... loose wire. He was very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. He asked for a blanket because he needed to move our dryer and didn't want to scratch our floors. He told me we should replace our air filters, then asked if I had some. I did, he offered to replace them and he did it! To me, that's above and beyond. He even cleaned up after he was done, vacuuming up the insulation. (The other 2 techs left a mess)Alejandro has restored my faith!
Joel came out to help us today and he was amazing! We have had numerous Chas Roberts techs come out and he is by far the best one! He went over our concerns and also found a few more issues and took care of them! 10/10 would recommend Joel @ Chas Roberts. He truly went above and beyond. Thank you!

I called Chas Roberts on a Wednesday to ask about replacing my AC unit which was not working properly. An employee from the company was there that afternoon to take measurements! The new unit was installed 3 days later & works perfectly. The installer arrived on time, did the install, & thoroughly communicated all necessary information to me. We needed a mini-split installed for a single room. Chas Roberts was quick to schedule an estimate and we had the mini-split installed the same week! A crew came out early in the morning, installed the inside and outside units within hours. An Electrician crew was also here for the electrical work. Both jobs were done professionally and without fuss.And to our surprise we had a follow up visit to check on the installation and to see if we had any questions.Very happy with the services provided by Chas Roberts.

We recently had a disappointing experience with Chas Roberts. Our AC unit kept tripping the breaker and wouldn't stay on very long. So we called Chas Roberts because we have a warranty with them. We were told we have an evaporator coil that was leaking and would cost $1900 for labor. For that amount of money we thought it was worth getting a second opinion. I'm glad we did! The issue was not with the evaporator coil but loose wiring at the breaker and the coolant did need topping up. We ended up paying $300 instead of $1900. All I'm saying is do your research, ask questions and don't be afraid to get a second opinion!

Called yesterday to have a tech come out due to a thermostat going out. We knew it was the thermostat cuz the others worked in its place. Anyway, I’m told it’s an $85 tech service fee and the thermostat is still covered under warranty but they couldn’t give me a price yet. Also said the $85 tech service fee would be applied to the total. The tech arrives this morning and checks it out and says yes it is just the thermostat. Replaces it and then here comes my total…$241!!! For a thermostat that’s covered under warranty. But of course I was taken advantage of being a woman who knows nothing about these things and has 2 babies keeping me distracted. I check the price online..$90. I call back and am told a manager will call. He does and I ask if I can return it. He tells me if a tech was to come out to collect the thermostat, it would be another $85 charge. I ask if I can drive it to them or something. He says no and tells me once it’s installed, they can’t resell it. So pretty much, there’s nothing I can do but accept that I got charged $241 for a $90 thermostat that the tech literally just clicked in. What a joke..will never recommend them to anyone and I will be letting my neighborhood group know how big of a scam they are.

I am so grateful for every technician that came out to my home to assess the a/c unit condition, who advocated on behalf of my family needs during an emergency crisis, expedite orders and completed repairs within 48-72 hours. My family appreciates your hard work to restore the AC unit, your integrity when the kids left the front door open and Ricardo ensured the safety of my home prior to entering and leaving the residence. Chas Roberts Air Conditioning & Plumbing - please explain why in 3 months a brand new house with a brand new AC has needed someone to come out to fix it 5+ times? We had someone out yesterday and 24 hrs later the AC isn’t working. I’m told that the soonest you can come out is between 1-5pm tomorrow after calling at 830. Brad the Supervisor tells me “at least it’s only 102 outside and not 115”. Your company is the worst and I will make sure everyone knows!!****This response must be from Adam. I think it’s hilarious that you think your tech saved us somehow. You spent the whole 16 min on the phone blaming everyone except your company for our AC issues. I honestly couldn’t even listen to it any further.Your tech could have gotten our warranty voided and honestly that is still a possibility. But we got our air to work the night before. Because of my daughter’s health condition, she overheats quickly and it becomes emergent. So when your Supervisor Brad was telling me to be thankful it’s 102 and not 115, we went to the breaker and switched it on and off. Thankfully our air came back on. Because otherwise I would have had to get a hotel that allowed dogs so that we would be able to have a decent night of sleep.Your excuses are lame. Like you said, you install in 38,000 homes a year. So you should probably have someone available 24/7 when it’s over 100 degrees and it’s a brand new system.

The blower motor went out on my AC unit. The part had to be ordered. They installed it as soon as it arrived. All of the techs have been wonderful to work with. This is my third home that Chase Robert's has installed the AC.
I highly recommend this company for any HVAC work you need to have done.

We have used several plumbers over the past 16 years. So far, Evan Straus of ChasRoberts is tops. He is patient and figures out the problem before replacing this and that. He replaced our hot water heater in Dec 2021 and it was a tough install. We found the heater was quite “noisy” in Oct 2022 and called ChasRoberts. They sent Evan the same day and he spent 1.5 hours tracing down the noise and fashioning a fix. Turns out it was a sticking check valve that he replaced at no charge (the water heater was under a 10-year warranty). I highly recommend Evan; he inspires trust and confidence.

This company installed a new ac unit around July 2020. It would not stay cool and would run all afternoon and late into the evening. They came out and tried to fix it in August, but it still didn't work correctly. I've been trying to get them to fix it since August 2020, and it still is not working properly. I had another company come out to look at it, and confirmed there was an issue. Chas Roberts had an appointment to fix it on April 26th, 2021 and didn't show up. They didn't even contact me.Update on April 26, 2021: After being 8 to 12 hours late, a very nice service guy came and took care of the ac. He updated me on the progress and left. It seems like it is working, but time will tell. I appreciate the nice guy helping.

This has been the worst experience. Almost 2 yr old system stopped working and was told I need new coil. Tried to sell me new system from the get go for 5,000. Told them to just fix and then it was delayed after delay on getting part but I could get ac faster if I bought new system. Kept saying no finally almost 3 weeks later got part only to be told that compressor is now bad and it's another 1900 told them I wasnt going to pay to just leave. Funny how this all added up to almost original 5 grand. Then got a call saying I misunderstood would only be another 6-7hundred and I told them they lost my business . Got invoice stating they came out 4 times which they did not still owe 900 and I refused 900 additional repair.so now that I am 2000 dollars into repair with warranty for parts still don't have working ac. Will not do business with them and will be reporting to roc and bbb

We were having issues with one of our AC units and called Chas Roberts. They were able to send out a technician the next day who did a thorough review of all our units. He explained that one of our units should be replaced ASAP. He then connected us with a sales rep who found us the best unit for our space. The next day a couple technicians came out and replaced the unit. Chas Roberts really made the whole process very painless and stress free. We are very happy with the installation and our new unit.

My home warranty sent this company out to check out some vent and issues. Although the company wasn’t responsible for the issue, the customer service from the tech Alejandro was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and informative. He educated me on all things AC. I am grateful for the education he provided.
Alejandro was great! He had called to say he was done early with his hast appointment and would be able to service my home earlier than scheduled . That worked out great for me, and I appreciated that he had called to let me know of the change. He arrived shortly after our phone call and completely the job quickly and efficiently. I’m very happy with the customer service the company provided from scheduling to the maintenance in my home.
Alejandro did an amazing job explaining the details on how the system worked and the best practices to using the system effectively. Then showing us the differences in temperatures based on how we were using our system compared to the system’s intention. This resolved the concerns and issues we had with the system.They were able to schedule me same day even without it being an emergency and came checked in asking if we were available even earlier as they were ahead of schedule for the day.Highly recommend and really enjoyed all the knowledge and insight that he provided!

We had them install a new unit on our house at the end of march 2021. Just over a year later the unit went out so we called them to get someone to come out and fix it but were told it was no longer under the labor warranty of one year missing it by 2 weeks. I told them I have two kids under two and needed someone to come out quick, their response was the earliest to get someone out would be 5 days. It's currently 114 outside. After telling them that is unacceptable and I need someone sooner they said no.. They don't care for their customers obviously. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was nobody to transfer me to and the associate refused to give me her name so I could write down who I was speaking with. A manager then called me back later with the same story trying to set up an appointment to charge for and have me wait for. Why would I give money to a company who did nothing to help my situation? I called proskill and they came out same night fixed the broken compressor and paid them the 600 for their time.Pros for Chas Roberts - they did install my unit in under 5 hours and left my house as clean as it was when they came.Cons- don't back up their products or their service.

Every time we have issues with our AC unit and they say they will come out, they lose information on the appointment and we end up burning in our 100+ house for over 48 hours. They are incompetent, useless, and hopeless. I wish our house wasn't built with a warranty with them, they are a terrible company. Today they were called at 10 am, said they were going to be here between 7Pm-10Pm. We called at 9Pm for confirmation and they said that they didn't have any information about that appointment. Why do you even use computers?! What is the point?!
Alejandro Is the first person from Chas Roberts that has taken the time to explain to me what was going wrong with the air conditioning and tips about which filters to use. He was very pleasant and professional and I appreciate Chas Roberts for sending him out so quickly! He was supposed to come between 12 and 4 PM but was actually 45 minutes early which I am grateful for.

Ac went out. Chas was Fast, friendly, and professional. Nadar is an exceptional technician fixed my problem and took care of some maintenance that needed to be done.
Horrible service. I spoke with Adam who is supposed to be a warranty manager. He quoted $1,878 to replace the AC compressors but he would charge $1,604 as a discounted rate. He recommended that I buy a labor warranty for $1,800 from original 5 year warranty date because the compressor is covered under manufacture (parts only) warranty. Someone from his company called me back 3 days later and left a voice message stating they received the compressor and wants to schedule a time to come out and replace it. I called to setup an appointment but Adam tells me the offer is no longer valid because the compressor arrived before I paid for the labor warranty. He said I have to pay $1,878 without any labor warranty as previously promised. He said that he spoke with his manager and that is final. When I asked to speak with his manager, he said the buck stops with him and refused to give me his manager's information and I could not speak with anyone else but him. Adam has lied about the price and ruined the experience!!! I will communicate this with family and friends and anyone looking to use their services. I highly recommend to stay away from using dishonest, unpleasant, unprofessional, and horrible customer service experience!!!!!!!

So, bought a new home a year after, the ac unit was making a squeaking sound from fan motor. This happened after we had rain. So I called them, 1 month for there repair people to come out. Ok, not a major rush. One month later they come out and it wasn’t squeaking anymore. Fine, then the guy told me $500.00 to replace it, I said it’s under warranty isn’t it, he said parts only. I said I will wait if it’s under warranty. One year later the upstairs unit is blowing hot air. 90 degrees, so called them that night and said someone will call me at 8 am, no call. So I called at 9 am, she told me they can come out a week later, are you kidding, what a joke! This company is a major joke. Oh, I failed to mention the first day we moved into this new home, ac wasn’t cooling down stairs, we kept lowering temp down stairs and raising upstairs because upstairs was freezing. Next day we found out the messed up and switched wiring so upstairs ran on downstairs and downstairs ran on upstairs. What a joke! Do your self a favor, stay away from Chas Roberts.

Alejandro = A+++! You never know who’s going to show up at your house and boy was Alejandro a pleasant surprise. His passion for his work and attention to detail showed in work and the way he spoke to us about the condition of our systems. The HVAC industry in Arizona needs more professionals like Alejandro.
I had the evaporator coil replaced for the second time in less than 2 years. My home was finished in April 2019, relatively new. Hugo & Alejandro with Chas Roberts both worked together as a team and at this point my system seems to be running great. When I compare this most recent experience with the first experience (summer of 2020)...there is no comparison. Chas Roberts gets a bad rap because a lot of the technicians are not really that good. However, if you get the right technician(s) you actually feel good about the situation. As long as I can get Hugo or Alejandro I will not worry. They are professional, courteous and they demonstrated confidence while exhibiting excellence when working on my system. Highly recommended gentlemen.

I never leave reviews. Brand new home build, 4 months old today. This company has been out to my house 5 plus times for the same problem and dont fix the root cause. My ac goes out nearly every single day. they replaced the ac compressor, had to get them back out to my house due to them not putting enough freon in the system, then telling me its normal for the ac not to cool under 76 in 110 degree weather. After correcting the freon, about 2 weeks later the unit started to shake and shut down again. The company comes out and finds the ducking was not wrapped correctly due to the last tech not putting it back together as it was. Then says nothing wrongs. Happened again the next day. Argue with them on the phone. So they blocked me from using them. Have to go through the builder. They also tried to get out of their obligation for warranty. Not to mention this has been happening as soon as i started using the ac system. The texhs are nice, the hr and Adam are aweful, careless, unprofessional people. The manager would not even talk to me (adam). Bottom line guys, when you need these guys to stand by their work and product they will make it difficult for you. Make excuses. And call you crazy. I even provided a video of the unit failing. Its the middle of the summer in Arizona. I have animals that cant handle the heat. If you like what you hear i would say these guys are perfect, but if you want better service i would say go elsewhere

I felt like I could trust him coming in and out of the house and in and out of the bedrooms. He came in to check for a leak in the attic and took the time to find the actual problem, which is a communication problem with the thermostats. He also made sure we understood what the problem was and educated us while working. Definitely great experience!

We recently bought a house in Paradise Valley . Chaz Robert company did the install of the A/C unit with the previous owner. 2 weeks ago the east wing ac went down. Chaz Robert came after few days claiming it was not urgent. The tech said that the grounding was defective . We have been without a/c for 10 days .This company is not accountable and I will not recommend.

Horrible place to work for. Ran by very greedy, heartless, and unsympathetic people, who couldn’t care less about their employees. You’re nothing but a number while working for them. Once you upset them in the slightest way, they will make your life hell while working for them with a target on your back until you quit. I recently went on vacation and when I was have fun with no cares in the world, My kids called and informed me that one of the air conditioners stopped working. Never fails that when your are on vacation, something happens. I called Chas Roberts and I have to tell you, they were amazing to work with. They called me back when they said they would, They found the part my unit needed in stock while the other companies I called, said it would take them days to get the part ordered and even longer to get it repaired. I had my unit up and running quickly. Much faster than what I even dreamed of! I completely understand that in this world today, you have manpower and raw material shortages so things may take a while but its how a company responds. They had the parts in stock, the provided exceptional customer service at an affordable price and I am an extremely happy customer. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

The technician Alejandro called before arriving at my home. We discussed the HVAC issue in detail including reviewing pictures I had showing the problem, and he explained what steps he was going to take based on the initial inspection. When the work was done, Alejandro showed me pictures he took of the now repaired water pipe and in addition he repaired a faulty air duct not included in the work order. All in all the experience was very positive.
Evan was very easy to work with. He were professional, attentive and answered all our questions (of which there were many). We were on a tight time frame to mitigate the damage and he was very respectful of that fact. Highly recommend this company.

New home AC orientation. Gentlemen walked me through every AC detail you can think of and ensured I knew how my system worked and felt comfortable using it.
Our furnace was not working last Saturday morning. I called Chas Roberts and scheduled a service call. I believe I was told there would be an $80.00 service charge. The technician (Jake Nitura) came out that day and inspected the furnace. He determined that the problem was actually caused by the angle of a pressure hose and a missing GFCI switch. He was able to restore the system to working order and explained that the service call and GFCI switch would be covered under warranty. There was no charge for the service call and Jake indicated that he had ordered the switch that was needed. I received a follow up call earlier this week that Chas Roberts had received the switch and was setting up an appointment for installation. The technician that came out was Ricardo Gallegos. He installed the switch and also helped remedy an annoying fan noise in the owner's suite bathroom. Both Jake and Ricardo were great. They were knowledgeable and professional and could not have been nicer. A very positive and pleasant customer service experience.

My heat was not working and they have come out twice and it still doesn’t work. I’m now having to call again to request my heat be fixed correctly. This is unacceptable! I’m very disappointed in the service I’ve received.

Had my AC go out in my new build house and unfortunately this was the vendor they chose to warranty the AC and Plumbing. This company tried to say that if I had another certified technician complete the repair needed, they would void the remaining 4 years of warranty on my home. THIS IS ILLEGAL. There are laws in place and companies CAN NOT tell you this or void your warranty for this. I am beyond annoyed at this company after they told us they would take 8 days to fix our unit and wouldn't allow us to use another company. I wish I knew back then what they were doing was illegal. My wife, 2 cats and dog and myself all had to suffer in the July heat because this company illegally said I wasn't allowed to have another company repair if I wanted to keep my warranty.I ADVISE ANYONE LOOKING FOR REPAIRS/MAINTENANCE TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. This company is very SHADY. They have no morals and do not care for their clients. They would prefer we suffer to make an extra few bucks.
The one good thing about Chas Roberts has been their techs. Alejandro was great! He arrived early and was knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done and was able to make the repairs necessary.
Alejandro Lisboa was the service tech who replaced a large warped air vent. He called ahead to ensure that he could come earlier than scheduled. He installed the new vent very quickly and cleaned up the mess. Very happy with the professional job that Alejandro did!
I live in a new Lennar community. Reached out to Chas Roberts as my unit stopped working and they are the initial installer. The woman I spoke with initially last night (4/28/22) was very nice actually. Let me know she would have someone contact me this morning. I did actually receive a call this morning. I let the woman I was speaking with this morning know I believed my capacitor was no longer working. She let me know it would be May 11th at the earliest she could schedule a tech out. I just laughed. A capacitor takes about 10 minutes to install. What's a bigger shame is I was a huge advocate for Chas Roberts in Tucson after spending just under 30 yrs in the homebuilding industry. I had created a great relationship with Dan their GM at the time. My family moved to the PHX area two years ago to be closer to grandkids. What I can tell you is I will never refer Chas Roberts PHX for anything moving forward. I did find a local company and talked with the owner within 15 minutes of the Chas Roberts debacle this morning. He showed up to my home within 45 minutes of my call and had us up and running again within 5 minutes of his arrival. If you live in Surprise and our reading this, please reach out and I will provide the name of an AWESOME AND RESPONSIVE HVAC COMPANY.
DO NOT CALL CHAS ROBERTS! We purchased our new home in April of 2020 and our A/C unit stopped working. Our builder told us to call Chas Roberts to have them fix the problem. We had to agree to an $85 trip charge and wait three days for our tech. The tech notified us that there was no refrigerant and said that he needed to perform a leak test. This test costed $200. He performed the test and found that the leak was at a loose fitting connected to the A/C compressor. He said that the refrigerant and labor was not covered under warranty and that it was going to cost $800. I explained to him that this was ridiculous. He went from saying that this is common and then in said that it is rare. He also said that it would cost $500, then changed the cost to $800 in the same sentence. I was so damn confused. This company seems really shady! Do yourself a favor and call someone else. We are out $200 and still don't have a working unit that is less than two years old.

Freddy was thorough and knowledgeable. Once the issue was discovered, he called the supervisor of maintenance through our builder to make sure everything is taken care of right away. Very happy with his professionalism and service!
We haven’t had any issues with this company before. A tech came out after 3 weeks of waiting for a part that we originally were told would take the weekend to receive. The tech came out for an hour and then told me he received another job and had to go but the main office would call us. He left the job to go somewhere else. Im sorry, but what?The job did not get fixed. Our AC is still broken. I called them and the person who answered the phone did not listen to a thing I said and just ensured he would have them call me ASAP. Which they didn’t, but they did call my husband to ask how the appointment went and if everything was running smoothly. I returned the call immediately and after 10 minutes on hold, it went to voicemail. I’ve now been on hold with them again for 10+ minutes. Unacceptable.
I have to say I was close to looking for another company. Luckily for Chas Roberts they have employees like Evan. Evan showed up today to complete the repairs of our 3.5 year old tankless hot water heater, what was thought to be a change out of an ignitor, thermostat etc. However a couple over sites by the last 2 techs resulted in a minor service call for Evan. He was thorough, considerate, detailed and professional and to top it off didn’t charge us a penny. Thanks Evan!

Chas Roberts seems to have employees that lack skill and knowledge. They have been over about 8x. This is a 2.5 yr old unit & now it spewed oil everywhere and it needs a new condenser. Chas Roberts said it will be 2 months to just come look at it and we can go with different AC company ( which we did). the system was installed incorrectly (which they are blaming the builder) we had an electrical fire and the compressor replaced, and now the condenser. Chas Roberts seems to do a patch up job until the warranty runs out and then they dont even care to service it.edit to reply: the 2 AC units were wired incorrectly at installation, they were not properly wired to the correct dedicated circuit and thats what caused electrical problems. Its in your records and you can google it thats what caused the breakers to trip and the electrical fire but thanks for blaming the builder for your incompetency.Also you didnt replace anything at no cost your recorded phone call stated you charged the builder thats why you will not provide me records of the issues. the compressor was charged to the manufacture. Being out to service an AC unit 8 times shows its not being handled correctly. Nice of Chas Roberts to blame everyone else for their mishandling.

Alejandro came to my rescue and peace if mind re:gas furnace. Hopefully the issue will stay fixed. He also educated me on the safety/protectors built into the system. And made me aware of a filter in my house that I wasn't aware of, apparently there are 6 filters to be changed not 5. I am so happy he took the time to explain system to me verbally and with pictures of my furnace. The heater shutting off even after annual inspection only meant something was still wrong. I moved in 10/2020 the heater did not work.fixed 05/2021 (covid I was told). We have used this company since we purchased our home in the fall of 2019, our home is nearly 5 yrs old, and this company installed the HVAC when home was being built . We have always had great service, ontime, professional , I feel a fair price, the technicians have always been care not to track in the house by wearing booties. Hugo just did our winter check up for our furnace, he made sure we understood how our system works and what we can do to make it work effeciently. I just made our appointment for our spring check up with Lacy in customer service , she also did a great job, I would give this company and it's employees high marks.

In October 2020, I called Chas Robert’s to perform maintenance on my AC unit. They installed the system in my new build. When the Tech shows up he stated that with the Maintenance Plan I purchased that he/they would be doing a Heating Inspection and not the AC inspection. Technician stated they do AC inspection in April. Okay it’s April, I called to schedule maintenance and I am told that it would be September availability since they were booked up for maintenance till then. Plus I was told they started booking in February for maintenance inspection. She then finds an available appointment in August, after I complained that this entire maintenance plan was a SCAM. I question that if they are booked till September for maintenance what happens if I need AC repair. Then she states because I have the maintenance plan they would respond within 24 hours. So I paid $195 for a yearly maintenance plan to ensure a 24 hour waiting period for a breakdown/repair if needed. As I advise the Phone Rep if I could get a Technician to respond for maintenance before a breakdown it would be more advantageous to me the Customer. As I told the Rep I am keeping the appointment because I have already paid for the service. But “if” my AC requires any type of service before then Chas Roberts would not be the Service Provider that I would call. Also the Phone Rep states that the policy of booking start in February was on my Invoice, something I never received. Since all I received was a digital receipt of payment. Just say NO to their Maintenance Plan.

Bought a house from a Taylor Morrison and Chas Roberts is contracted by the builder to supply and install HVAC. The HVAC was not balanced, and not working according to how thermostat was programmed.Requested a warranty call out and was scheduled for a 3pm-7pm visit 3 weeks away. On the day of the appointment they called at 7pm to say that the service engineer was running late.I gave up waiting and at 10.15pm the engineer called to say he was outside the front of my house and could he come and look at my AC system. Apart from obviously overscheduling engineers, who makes their employees work until 10.15pm ? I declined.I called the next day and was given an appointment 5 weeks away - even though they screwed up!For the next appointment a young service technician arrived. He did not know how the thermostat worked - said it was a new one. I told him even though its a new house its an old model that's been EOL'd (End of Lifed) by the manufacturer.When I explained the problem, he did not know what to do and had to go to his truck to call someone and ask for help. He climbed around in the attic, made a mess everywhere then told me the thermostat was not working because there was a hole behind it. He plugged the hole and left. Turns out the problem still exists. I'm not sure why an unqualified technician would be sent out to investigate a problem he was not able to fix? (I'm being sarcastic - its a warranty call, no revenues, so don't waste an experienced technician!)Separately, I called to get a quote for moving my AC unit so that I can get access for a bobcat to excavate a pool in my back yard. They wanted to charge me $1500. I moved my entire house 750 miles to AZ for less than that.This company has managed to become the contractor of choice for builders and has lost sight of who the end customer is and that our time is just as valuable as theirs.

UPDATE 6: (are you kidding me status)Came out yesterday. Said it was fixed. Failed overnight. Cold air again. They have zero clue what the hell they are doing.About to file BBB complaint....Update 5: (seriously getting ridiculous)Longest saga ever. They get in the part they say is bad. Yup, not what was wrong. Tried all day, decide they will order another part. Who knows when that comes or if they can fix it. 3 years, heater still won't work and they seem to have no clue. About to lose it. Very happy this is AZ and haven't frozen since still no heat, or answers.Update 4:They decided to waive the fees except the trip charge. Faith restored and updated review for their honesty and customer service in the end :)Update #3:After finally fixing it last year, it was broken again this year and not working. Now I get to pay $500 in labor for them to continually bandaid a lemon unit that seems to be bad from day 1. I hate this company. I shouldn't have to pay yearly for a unit that never worked. After 3 years on a new build I just may use a different company and get a new unit.Update#2:They finally replaced the part and it worked for a day or two and quit working again. Called for an appointment due to it immediately failing and 5 days later still no call back to even set up another appointment. Assume they just gave up attempting to fix it? Awesome, 2 year old home and no heating or cooling. Way to go Chas Roberts!Update:Downgraded to one star as they have now been out twice and still can't figure out the part. No idea when they'll figure out what is the right part or finally get it working after 3 weeks so far.If I had a choice I would not use this company. New build home that Chas Roberts installed the system. 2 years later this is my second call to repair the system. I called because our heater is not working. Took them a week to first come out, then said they needed to order a part. A week later, part comes in. They show up at midnight to install, but decide they ordered the wrong part. Just over a week they say for the new part to arrive and come out at midnight again. Hoping next week which is 3 weeks without heat they MIGHT finally fix it. Only reason 2 stars is hoping this is under warranty still. If not, I'll be livid.After all the above, finally found a manager that stuck through it, admitted it was their mistake on installation that kept making the part fail. After the best tech figured it out, it finally works. I appreciate ultimately being honest and getting it done. Just a headache to get there. So from low rating to mid. Thankful for an honest caring manager.

My new home a/c was installed by them in 2017 and when I first turned it on that summer it was blowing out hot air.My unit was covered for everything because it was a new home.The weld was no good and refrigerant leaked out of Lennox a/c.5/31/22 I turned on a/c and hot air blew out.My a/c was covered for parts,refrigerant included.I made the mistake of calling Chas Roberts and after finding the problem.of defective coil that broke I wanted to find out how much the labor would cost.Representative was evading my question and was trying to sell me a warranty for$1,960 which is dishonest.I asked for an itemized bill of what had to be done and my request was denied.When I first called ,I asked if my Lennox warranty would be honored and was told yes,that was deceptive.Needless to say I will NEVER recommend Chas Roberts or Lennox a/c to anybody.I will be notifying the attorney general and Consumer Affairs promptly.Chas is trying to sell expensive warranties on units that still have active manufacturer warranties.

Installed the unit onn or brand new home and didn't even charge it fully. Also 3 out of 4 bedrooms were unusable due to the imbalance. You'd think an air conditioning company would know how to set up ducts properly. Then when we asked them to service it they told us it would be two months out. On a brand new house!!!! No way. After arguing with them back a forth they finally moved up the service date but the guy that came out to do the service didn't bring the right tools to measure the air flow claiming he's been doing it long enough to judge by feel. The master bedroom and older kids room are still disgustingly hot.Im 9 months pregnant and sleeping in my 7 year olds room cuz his is the only bedroom in the house with proper air flow. So now when I ask them to come back out and fix the issue they should have already addressed they tell me they can't service it for 2 more weeks. Well the baby is being born in 3 days and they think it is acceptable to bring a newborn in to a house with inconsistent temperatures. They expect me, a new born and a 7 year old to all share a room because they can't balance a house properly. This is absolutely disgraceful.

Our AC stopped working after a year and half of it being installed by Chas Roberts. When we called to see about getting a technician out to the home, the customer service rep reported that they didn’t have any availability until 2 weeks out. We live in Arizona, the home got hot and humid real quick. The customer service rep simply said to search Google for another AC company to come out and service our home. After spending thousands of dollars on a unit through Chas Roberts, this is how we get treated. We ended up going with George Brazil and they came out within less than 12 hours and fixed our unit. We will be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

We had our A/C unit go out in the summer of 2019. We were under warranty, so the contractor was Chas Roberts per usual. Our first appointment time was a no-show. The second appointment, they replaced the motor, and it went out a day later. The third appointment, they showed up 12 hours later than stated (in the middle of Arizona summer). The next day, woke up to rattling and a loud bang and violent scraping noises. Long story short, they blew out 3 motors, damaged the housing unit, and one technician shocked himself and fell through the drywall. Chas Roberts said they would send someone to fix the damaged drywall, and never did. When installing the last motor, they said the previous technician didn’t secure the motor correctly which resulted in it falling and damaging the housing unit causing sparks that ultimately could’ve resulted in a house fire.After replacing that motor, they refused to replace the housing unit because it was “still functional.” We didn’t think we had any problems after that because we trusted their word. Fast forward to this week, we discovered there was no hot/cold air flowing through the downstairs ducts. We’re no longer under warranty with Chas Roberts, so we hired a trusted company to troubleshoot. What they discovered in the attic was a rats nest of poor wiring, damaged furnace components, a cracked heat exchanger, resulting in a carbon monoxide leak. We just called them to tell them they need to be held accountable, and they said they can do nothing but charge us to come look at it and “give us a deal” on parts. The representative pretty much told us that we were lied to by previous technicians but still did nothing to resolve it. We’re now out $2000+.Chas Roberts has uneducated technicians and poor communication that could result in your home and family in danger. DO NOT work with them if you can help it. They will only do more damage than good. Find a trusted family business elsewhere and save yourself the trouble.
I have used them since 2016 and find them expensive but had been fairly reliable. In the past month I have been so disappointed. I called and clearly explained plumbing modifications we wanted and got a guy who had no clue what he was doing. We got stuck with$150 service fee for him coming out to preform something clearly above his skill level - even though I explained on the phone what we needed.Tonight I have been waiting around since 1 pm today for our annual AC maintenance. The window was 1-5pm. I did get a text that he would be at “later end of window” or later. The I got a call after 6 saying he was “on his way”.I called and got technician and, through no faultOf his, he was still a half hour away. I canceled. Called office and said “get me someone this week or I am gone”. No appointments - no trying - I am on to another company. No effort at all.
Chas Roberts was the install company for our new build. We are 1-1/2 years living in our new home, The AC suddenly stopped working. We called for an Emergency service call. Was told 10 days before anyone would be here. (Mid July in AZ). There customer service is horrible. I have talked to a few neighbors that have had the same issue. Do not use this company for any of your AC needs. If I could give a no star review I would. they were willing to leave my family and I to figure it out.

Chas Roberts installed the unit for my new build, so I decided to have them come out and diagnosis my no cold air which turned out to be a leak. 8 months ago, the technician could not locate the leak and he put refrigerant in my system and told me to call if I have any further issues. Now its April and I have no cold air, so I called to schedule an appointment again since they put the refrigerant in. After holding on the phone for a while, I almost changed my mind due to the unfriendly customer service person, but I ended up scheduling anyways. They were booked out a week and half and I was told that there was no way for me to get an earlier date, so I waited. The technician come out and he did find the leak but told me that they would not provide any discounts for the refrigerant that leaked out due to their technician not diagnosing the issue 8 months ago. Not to mention, they do not know how to balance the air in the rooms. I have several rooms that do not have sufficient air flow. I will never use Chas Roberts again.

Sales rep came out read me quotes for 3 different units but didn’t provide me with any documentation. Then said after checking online the distributors didn’t have any in stock but he would have the girls in the office call around & would let me know. I called the next week to ask for a status & he said he couldn’t find anything & was trying to stick to the lower price range. I told him price didn’t matter & I needed air conditioning as the temperature was 95 at night inside the house. He said he would contact all of the distributors and would get back to me. That was over 3 weeks ago. I contacted another company whose rep came out, called a distributor who said they had a few units, I went with the higher one & it was installed the next day. I’ve had ac for 3 weeks now and will NEVER recommend or contact Chas Roberts in the future.

I did not interact with Chas Roberts directly but I bought a new home in which they were the AC installation contractor. The system is a couple of years old and has a small leak resulting in the loss of freon. Upon inspection of the workmanship of the system, I can say the quality of work they performed was simply cringe-worthy. It is clear they are not focused with doing the job well or with any regard to quality. They are concerned with doing the job as quickly and as cheaply as possible so that in a couple years, when their work inevitably begins to deteriorate and break down, they can come fix and replace their original mess of a job while billing you every step of the way.

I am extremely displeased with the lack of service. I had an appt scheduled on 4/28 from 12-4. I was told the tech would be late. 3 hours later and a tech still had not arrived. I waited over 1 month to get an appointment and now we have to wait another month when it was not our fault. There is a lack of accountability and I am very unhappy with the company and how they dealt with their problem at our expense.

Anything but Peace of Mind- DO NOT USE CHAS ROBERTSOn May 31st, 2018 my family and I replaced our AC unit along with the furnace/handler with Chas Roberts. Included with the installation of a brand-new Lennox system was a 10-year warranty backed by their statement “total peace of mind warranty on everything we install & service” and “33-point quality control audit”. Just a mere 6 months later, November 2018, our heater was not working. As it would turn out the first technician did not put our furnace together correctly. After fixing our furnace, the technician stated “it was a good thing he came when I did, this could have blown up”, as we were holding our two year old in our arms. Then on May 10, 2020 in the middle of a hot day, our AC was not blowing cool air. Forcing us to take days off work and to stay outside of our home. We called Chas Roberts again, the technician told us that a leak found on the condenser coil was causing a low charge. We lost refrigerant due to the supposed leak that cost $311.15 and they wanted to charge us $2,709.13 to replace the part in our practically brand-new system. Labor warranty was only 1 year therefore this astronomical charge was for labor not for the part. Unfortunately, we could only afford the refrigerant that day and had to hold of on fixing the part. Then on October 8th, 2020 we called Chas Roberts again due to our AC unit not working and the nest displaying a code we were not familiar with. According to the technician the “nest tstat was completely drained of battery life with no wire connected”. This technician told us the thermostat wires were not replaced even though this was outlined in the contract. Then, in March 2021 once again the same code started to display on our Nest and in order for our home to cool down we had to empty out the sensor drain every two hours in order for it to work. This time we consulted a different AC technician as it would turn out our AC unit was not leaking where Chas Roberts told us it was, after his inspection the valve caps were loose and refrigerant was leaking from there. All he had to do was replace them with better caps. This required us to buy another $400 in refrigerant. After inspecting our furnace and handler, he told us that the wrong unit was installed into our home, it was not the right system. This individual was able to tell us this information after only being in our home for 20 minutes. We also paid another $107.50 for parts and labor, he replaced our sensor. We contacted Chas Roberts today and spoke with the manager Noah, despite acknowledging that they did in fact install the wrong furnace/handler they refuse to take any responsibility for all of the issues we have been dealing with. He stated that these are “separate” issues, when they all stem from installation of our unit. We are incredibly disappointed with this company and advise others to stay clear from this company. With all the technicians that have been in and out of our home, not a single individual identified the true issues we were having or they weren’t being truthful. Ultimately, the most frustrating thing is the lack of empathy and willingness to compensate us despite this situation being entirely preventable.
They fixed everything and did it-effectively and we’re very polite and respectful. I appreciate them coming out here and working to fix everything that was wrong.

I have a new build home and have my warranty through this company. They are not helpful and all there phone representatives tell you something different.My a/c broke yesterday and waited for 2 hours for a call back from their technician that never called I had to call them back from them just to tell me they couldn’t come out until 2 weeks and to just google someone that can come.Also the warranty is nonsense! They told me to get anyone to come and the warranty should cover the parts and just to let them know. But no it wasn’t like that at all.I would recommend not to use them!!!

Chas Roberts is the installer for our new build and who is used through the builder warranty for all issues. This is now the second time they have completely missed the appointment with no call, no nothing and have rescheduled me more than 2 weeks out. I have dropped my entire day to be available for these guys and they never meet their obligations. Look elsewhere for ALL HVAC needs. They can absolutely not be counted on. 2 weeks out after they miss the appointment is the most insane thing I’ve ever heard.

ChasRoberts installed a new A/C unit with a 10 year warrantee. They provide annual service twice a year. The system quit after 2 years and 11 months on Friday at 9 PM one week after their tech checked the system. I called for service and was told they could schedule me next Friday (7 days later). Certainly not the service I expected based on what I paid, the age of the unit and what ChadRoberts claims in their advertising.
My technician Dakota was professional and made sure my system was working properly. Scheduling was quick and technician arrived on time.
If you live down in Maricopa, request Isaac to come out to your house to check out your AC. He's the nicest guy you'll ever meet and will explain all of your options and give great suggestions.

Both times, the service technicians were polite, professional and (from best I can tell) very thorough in their work. Bought a new home and Chas Roberts was the contractor for the HVAC system. Several reviews speak of the exact same issues I'm having. System is not balanced and techs all tell me different things. They do not come on time and will show up after 9pm well after appointment window. Appointment window, its not a window its a guesstimate that they don't give two cents about. You are at their mercy.

Apparently Chas Roberts designed the layout of HVAC for homes in Tortosa and other communities in the area. He designs them with duct so the register locations are all along the interior walls vs the exterior walls/windows are for proper air circulation.Additionally he designs them so the intake or jumpers are right next to the registers.Chas is definitely lining his pockets with these homes and it’s horrific. If any home builder or corporation is considering using him, please avoid him.
So, if anyone is needing to buy a new AC unit and wonders if going with the more expensive, energy efficient model really is the better unit-I can tell you it is worth every penny! After lots of research and weighing the pros and cons of purchasing, I invested in a variable-speed AC unit just over a month ago and just got my APS bill. I kept everything set exactly like we had with the older (15 year old) unit and I cut my bill almost in half. When comparing last year (kept at 78 degrees) to this year (kept at 76 degrees) and last month (kept at 76 degrees old unit) and this month (kept at 76 degrees) my bill was less than my equalizer payment and I have a credit already from APS. I never have a credit this time of year! Our house is always cool, less humidity and the machine is super quiet! I might be paying on the unit for a bit, but what I'm saving in electricity and getting in comfort is absolutely worth it, plus a 10 year warranty-can't be beat! Thank you Chas Roberts.

Beware the Chas Roberts toxic kingdom, headed by Chief of Toxicology, Sissie Roberts Shank. Shank nee Roberts aka Sissie installs thousands of new AC's in new builds throughout the valley and so many of them fail and break down right at or around the 2 year mark. Such is the case in the east valley, where scores of unhappy homeowners curse the name of Chas Roberts in private Facebook groups wondering how they can get even with Sissie's toxic kingdom of minions who keep old phone calls on file, which they scan for key words to gaslight you with when you call with complaints or questions.Just google Roberta “Sissie” Roberts Shank and her SEC filings are public record. Ever wonder what the penny pinching does for her? She owns hundreds of thousands in stocks, the sale of which are public record that you can easily see on Google.Final word: beware the cheapie welds where Sissie's techs weld copper to aluminum. That's often the point of failure in the newly installed systems, where our community has seen dozens of failures and leaks. Sissie's toxic kingdom won't come back to fix it either. Just be ready for it if you see Chas Roberts on your thermostat.
Spent over 12 hours (starting last night at 10 pm) trying to communicate via phone and email with this company to get them to fix my A/C today. Their online “scheduling” system does not work. Spoke with a lady this morning that said someone would be contacting me soon. After an hour and a half of no response, I called again. I had to reiterate all my information again only to be told they were booked up for weeks! Why not call and say that to start?! It’s a Friday in Phoenix during the hottest part of the year…I get it, but don’t waste people’s time by not communicating. Good news is that Desert Diamond came out within 2 hours and fixed the issue right away!
Had a couple visits to get some work done. I was lucky enough to have Alejandro for both visits. Work was done perfectly and my home is ready for the Phoenix summer.

Terrible service, stay away from this company. My thermostat’s touch pad was not responding to the touch and I called because it was still under factory warranty. The tech came out and though he was somewhat professional, he wanted to originally charge $312 for labor to replace the unit since the part would be free of charge. I mentioned that I saw the same unit, new, on Amazon for $126. He went to the truck, called someone, came back and said they could do it for $202 even though he agreed that thermostat snaps off the base and can be replaced and programmed in less than 10 minutes. I said no thanks I’ll handle it myself. He left and emailed me an invoice for $85 because I had refused the service.This company is a scam, again, stay away.

I signed up for their every 6 month service when I bought my new build house. Each time they came they suggested parts that I needed even though they installed my air system in my new build home. They even installed one of the parts that I had to pay for, for free for my neighbor. He paid nothing for the part or the installation, while I paid for both. So I get them to do the work they recommended and I paid for it. Once they got their money they quit calling me for the semiannual service. When I asked today why they hadn’t called me, they said they do “courtesy calls” but it’s my responsibility to schedule with them. Seems counter productive for me to pay for a semiannual subscription (that also is supposed to help when you need repairs) then just forget about me. Medically retired Marine diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, so I can be forgetful but I know for a fact that they did not call me (woman on phone said they called me in October). Only using them now because I don’t know if I’ll void my warranty on my AC if I don’t...

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We recently just had them install 18 brand new ac units on an apartment complex (within the last year). We invested thousands of dollars into these units which we thought included good customer service on warranty items,...wrong! One unit went down last week, temperatures in the 90s and their warranty department tells us their next available service call is 9 DAYS OUT! After going back and forth with emails and phone calls they stopped responding and we were forced to call out another ac company to fix this issue in a timely matter for our tenants. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We will now be having to seek compensation through the legal system as the repair turned out to be very costly replacing a compressor. Avoid using this company, very poor customer service.

Installed brand new in our new build and it just hit a year and lots has already gone wrong. Just seems like they chose to small of a unit for my house size. Called because it is not cooling the house and running constantly trying just to get it to 80 in the house and the soonest they can get to us in 8 days, not to mention they were here yesterday and installed a new valve because the one on our brand new unit went out. So, they can't even come out and fix their mistake right away and get it running correctly. Instead they make us suffer with a hotter house, higher electricity bill because our unit is constantly running and more wear and tear to our unit. Really disappointed right now.

Unresponsive, unprofessional, uncooperative, deceiving, uncaring, should not be in business. I would give zero stars if that were an option. Refused to help in an emergency and refused to cooperate with a certified HVAC company that did respond to the emergency service call. Horrible customer service. Did not use the best quality materials either. Had to replace some things and likely will be replacing others.
Had issues with our builder on our new home. Chas Roberts have been taking care of us ever since. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately they are the HVAC contractors on a new house. Had warranty work appointment from 8am -12pm two weeks ago and they never showed all day without updates and then called at 10:30pm to say they might still come. Rescheduled for two weeks out with 12-4pm time frame. At 1:40 they called to say it would be after 5pm. I would suggest only making an appointment if you have days to kill waiting for them to show up. If it's really important/urgent call another contractor.

They are extremely unprofessional and they are extremely shady, meaning falsifying records to lie about the work and for trying to upsell $1200 to multiple new builds in the same new build community. Many of the homeowners here have experienced issues with their 1-3 year old unit! Do not trust this business!

RUN! RUN!!!!!! If you’re either building a new home that uses Chas Roberts or thinking of utilizing their services- DONT! I live in a neighborhood filled with complaints about how unethical and shady this company is. This company willingly and knowingly installed faulty units in multiple homes within our neighborhood. These units are under five years old and constantly leak, stop working and many other issues. Remarks from their very own employees visiting our homes consists of admitting this and stating there are so many issues with the unit it comes down to poor install and poor quality parts. An individual told us he was leaving the company over the issues. Mind you everyone gets this glorified ac unit, “warranty” where Chas Roberts comes out and, “fixes” it until the next call outside of warranty that costs MINIMUM $200 a visit and so on. There is no solution. This company does not care after numerous calls, pouring money into this unit and repairs. PLEASE save yourself and do not buy a home with this unit, do not build with a builder who supports Chas Roberts. I would not wish what we have gone through since the second month owning our home in 2016 and on to ANYONE. It’s miserable.

If I could leave a zero-star that would be my rating because these people did a horrible job on my AC unit a couple of years ago in which I had call them back because my AC was making noise and not functioning properly and whent the tech came out he said his was running just. fine couple years later I still have the issue and my AC stopped working I called Chas Roberts once again and they schedule me an appointment for 3 days after. I had requested to speak to a supervisor in which they had put in the request 4 times that I had called. The tech calls me eventually stating that he was on his way before supervisor called me so I mentioned to him that I had requested a supervisor call 4 times then he follows up by saying that he is going to get one call me. 4 hours later I still have not received a call back from anybody; Tech supervisor or anyone from the office so I call back the office and explain what is going on and the lady tells me that she can only do so much because she is only a messenger but she is going to submit another supervisor call and it is now 8:57 PM with a pregnant wife and a 5 year old inside of a house that is 92°. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I just got off the phone with a so called supervisor in which began to get very aggressive and also began to insult me. Highly unprofessional.

Just bought a new house (well, the house was built in 1999). It needed some A/C electrical connection work done. Brick came out on time. He corrected the A/C electrical box in the attic (It's about 110 degrees here now) but it was much more than that. The electrical housing was metal and didn't have a cover on it. Brick went to his van and made a metal cover for it! Everything today is plastic, but that wasn't good enough for Brick since the housing is metal. To top everything off he went to the house electrical panel and fixed the double tapped wire and made sure all the connections were screwed in tight, not all of them were!!! His caring and making sure things were done right went far above and beyond any other A/C expert. Big Thank You to Brick!

Chas Roberts is horrible. AC went out and if it was covered under warranty they would come out same day. I only had parts warranty so they stayed the earliest was the next night from 7pm-12am. Why is my situation less important if I am paying cash for labor? Went with Bell Air Conditioning and was seen within minutes. Chas Roberts is horrible. Boycott them.

Routine HVAC maintenance. Mr. Alexis was fantastic. He was professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
My home is four years old and just to be safe we have had Chas Roberts come outevery six months to do a general inspection. They were the company that installedthe unit for the builder, Taylor Morrison.Until now I have had no complaints as the unit has worked well and the techs haveseemed to do their due diligence inspecting the unit. The tech would sometimes tryto up sell us on an improvement, sometimes we accepted, sometimes not, after we didsome research on their suggested improvement.This time the tech suggested we upgrade from a 20x25x1 filter to a 20x25x3 filter.It is thicker so it lasts longer and may pick up more debris than the thinner filter.I was out of town at the time but my spouse accepted the suggested upgrade and thetech installed the new filter.Upon arriving back in town I checked the invoice and saw a charge of $158 for twofilters. I went to Home Depots website and found a similar ( actually better )filter sold two for $41.75. This filter was thicker than the one the tech installedand has a higher MERV rating. The higher a MERV rating the less dust and particlescan get through it.I expect a 20-30% markup on a product they install, but not almost 400%! Keep in mindinstalling it is just pushing it into the slot in the ceiling and takes 30 secondson a ladder.I called the company for an explanation and was double-talked by the manager. Hisbasic response was nobody forced your spouse to accept our recommendation or price.I informed him I would be changing vendors for my future needs and as I will livinghere for 30 more years - did he think the $100 overcharge was worth it? No reply.My hope in writing this is my friends and neighbors will be diligent in checking thework that is done, whether it is truly needed, and the price being quoted. Myexperience with this vendor is they need to be watched very closely by their customers.For more customer experiences with this company I would encourage everyone to go tothe internet and check YELP and Google reviews so we can all make educated choiceson whom we hire.

Terrible terrible terrible! I would never recommend their services, and will never use their services. I confirmed my appointment not once, but twice. Was confirmed for a 1 pm - 5 pm window for service as I have no air, no heat and neither of my thermostats are working. After calling at 5:30 pm to see where the technician was and told I was the next on his list, I finally canceled at 8 pm. What a joke! Don’t waste your time or money on these jokers!
They’re the worstttttt when it comes to customer service. They’re so unprofessional and will show up to your house at 3am when the apt is at 7pm. They always told me 7pm and i sometimes don’t even get seen that same day and I have to wait couple days til they can get someone to come patch something up! I have a 5 years warranty and they can’t seem to fix anything on time! The WORST

Heat pump quit working. Chase fixed issue quickly.
Our home builder used Chaz. Had issues the first year. They came out saud that something was knocked over and fixed it. The following year, we hadvto have the blower motor replaced. Used another company because several neighbors had the same issue. Substandard work, cheap parts. The blower motor they used was not the right size for our home.

Chas Roberts installed the HVAC system, ducts & vents in my new construction. They failed to account for Phoenix climate in one of the rooms, making it virtually unusable in the summer. Rather than coming out in the summer to review, they waited several months and came in October when it was 74 degrees out. They spent 20 minutes gathering some temp readings, said sorry looks fine, and left. Unacceptable.

Our AC went out (within the 2 year warranty), and I called up to get a repair scheduled. They told us the first opportunity for them to come out is in 10 DAYS!! Our living area is 87F right now, and it will only get hotter, any they want us to suffer for a week and a half! Awful service & support!

Chas Roberts is the worst A/C company out there. They don’t have enough qualified technicians, they provide awful customer service and they don’t stand behind anything they do. Avoid them at all costs otherwise it will cost you.

Former employee and I say this I had the worst experience eeeeeever working for them, even the HR Department is horrid..., coming in with little to no experience learning from the lead Techs was nice. However it all went down hill after that... I was informed during a company meeting that all new hires would be getting a raise, the raise was to 18 dollars which I thought was awesome being new, though the lead techs who trained me, I won't be naming any names got no raises and remained at their 16 dollars an hour pay.I don't know about you but to me that's half backwards and should be the other way around or so you'd think, nope new guys make more then the leads, Sad but true, three lead techs quit because of this so yea... Honestly can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing, knowing they guy I'm training is making more then me lol, what a joke of a company...While being trained by lead Techs, I personally witnessed them swerving on the road due to exhaustion from not enough sleep, Dispatch will continue to send you on calls no matter what time of day/night it is, sometimes we'd not get done until 3:30 am or later...Actually had one Lead tech quit the next day after being on a call from the previous day into the next day which I imagine anyone would have quit after working all day, yea that tech didn't get home until the next day, I believe I got a text from one of the Sups who sent out the text to the entire team requesting guys to come in on their days off due to them still having guys out in the field from the previous night...When I got on my own I went to a house who informed me that they had come in contact with Covid 19, notified the Chas Roberts dispatch who played it off they they didn't know about this after the home owner stated they told the dispatchers on duties about their situation.I ended up getting Covid 19, after getting Covid 19 was sent home by Chas Roberts only to be cleared 7 days later by someone claiming to be a Chas Roberts doctor who asked me 3 questions over the phone and not in person, I'm not a doctor but I don't know how a Doctor can clear you over the phone without even seeing you in person to determine if you are fit to return to work.Returned to work, worked 1 day before calling out again, after notifying my supervisor I had still felt sick, was told to contact the HR department where the HR Rep had set me up for Accommodations forms, only thing is each time they received an accommodations form to return to work from my doctor they would refuse the forms, stating I couldn't have any restrictions to return back to work, essentially forcing me to quit...Honestly the only good thing about this place was getting the 18 dollar pay raise, other then that yea no and trust me I could go on and on and on about this place and how bad it really is... Wish I'd have listened to one of the veteran techs who had told me to stay clear of this place before being hired on by them to be honest....
I had annual service on my furnace done. The technician was great. I did have to have some follow up done and the company sent out another technician right away. Josh B. took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on. He did a tremendous job in explaining everything and making sure that my system was working as efficiently as possible. Always a great experience.

I'm very happy with Chas Roberts. The rep(Jimmy) who came out to my house was knowledgeable, thorough and sympathetic to my concerns. He prepared a reasonable price quote and followed up with everything he promised to deliver. The installation crew was on time and completed the job same day. They went out of their way to make sure my home was not damaged. They were great about cleaning up and making sure I understood how the new system worked.
I have days without air conditioning at temperatures of more than 100F, they installed it and from the beginning I had faults called and came to fix it so that I endured my grantia now are not responsible for the bad work they did, have no humanity and empathy with the customers.

I would have given this company a zero if I could. The only reason why I gave a 2 was because the third person (Glenn) I spoke with fixed the issue. He was very courteous and professional. The first tech made the A/C unit function worse than when he came. Then he tried to tell me that it was NORMAL. I was flabbergasted that he thought that I can just accept that (like, duh... okay). I finally had to speak with his manager, but he too said that it was normal, even though he didn't even come to my home and see for himself.It took a while for me to convince the manager that it was not normal, and he agreed to come the next day. After hanging up, we realized how bad it really was, so I called the manager back and had to demand that they come back that night to fix it. This is when Glenn came out and found out that it was just a loose screw that the first text didn't attach correctly. He worked on it for a few minutes and it was fixed. Although the last tech did fix it, I would NOT recommend this company at all!

I utilized Chas Roberts to replace my water heater less than two years ago. This morning, it was broken and I had no hot water. They came out to look at it and said the bottom was burned out and it would be a $229 repair. They made a big deal of saying they were giving me a discount. I asked about the warranty, as the unit was less than two years old. I received the response that it was parts only. I said that I thought it was ridiculous that a unit less than two years old would cost me anything to repair and I was asked if I wanted it fixed or not. Someone did finally call me back about this issue and told me that it was like a factor like water quality or something similar to cause the problem. The last water heater I had lasted 17 years, so I doubt that the water quality has gotten that drastically worse in the past two. He ended the conversation by saying I probably won't change your mind, but just in case, I will make a note to give you a $50 credit if you ever need a new air conditioner or plumbing product again. I can guarantee after that, I will never purchase another product or service from Chas Roberts. Awful customer service, and from what I can tell, terrible quality products. I would caution anyone against using Chas Roberts, to spare themselves the hassle of poor service and poor product.

Chas Roberts installed the units in our new build, they've been out 15+ times and still can't balance the system. Master bedroom runs 6+ degrees warmer than the rest of the house. Install doesn't match the plans for the house, and they refuse to fix. Would give no stars if possible.

Do not sign up for their maintenance plan, twice somebody has loosened the lines so they leak freon and then they try to charge me $600 to recharge it... months later. The unit is only 4 years old and has had to be recharged twice, But luckily the 2 times I had honest technicians that told me what had happened.
Worst company I've ever dealt with, I'd give them less than one star if I could. I would like someone from that company to reach out to me and hear my complaints, but I doubt they will.

45 days ago we closed on a home built by Taylor-Morrison who hired Chas Roberts A/C & Plumbing to install htg & air for every house in the subdivision. Four days ago our air conditioning went out, after running it for maybe two days. Chas Roberts diagnosed that we needed a new compressor and they would order one. I talked to the parts department and was told the compressor was to be sent overnight to them and they would get installed immediately. Well we are still waiting, I called Chas Roberts and the parts department has to call back because they don't know if the compressor is in the yard or not. Are we in the stone age??Brand new unit that lasts only a few days and can't get a replacement when they are supplying units for a whole subdivision. Is this some kind of scam?? I would give minus stars if I was able to but had to give at least one. Who needs air conditioning in AZ anyway?

This is a routine maintenance call and the service technician was proficient and the job was well done.
Just had a new Lennox AC unit installed. The whole experience was very good. Sales person came out listened to what I wanted gave me a good quote and scheduled the installation at a time I requested. The install crew came out and was very professional in every aspect of the installation. I could tell the crew has been trained in being respectful of my property placing tarps on garage floor to cleaning up every piece of scrap material on the job. They removed every bit of by old AC/ furnace along with the box the ductwork went into. Everything on the system is new. Good Job!!! They sent out another guy to fix the access to my attic they had to take the trim off to get the unit in and he fixed the trim better the it was.

Purchased my house new and Chas Roberts did the AC install. Nothing but problems.The back half of the house doesn't cool or heat properly, dust coming out of the vents and leaks worse than a submarine with a screen door.Hired a company to perform a inspection and they found the main feed line to the back half of the house crushed, holes in the air handler where the air returns connect, improperly sealed ducts and a patch on the sheet metal using aluminum tape.Going to cost $1500 to repair.

Today I learned that Chas Roberts, 1 1/2 years ago, installed my very elderly parents’ heater so poorly that the gas company disconnected it this past summer. The flue pipe and combustion air were both installed incorrectly. Repairs will be $1500-2000.Chas Roberts will not even make an appointment (and it’s winter) nor let me speak with a supervisor since I said they need to correct such shoddy and unsafe work at their expense. It certainly appears their tech took advantage of a trusting, elderly couple or is incompetent, and that the company is unusually insensitive to the uncomfortable and unhealthy situation they created for these two dear people.
Alejandro was awesome and educated us on the inner workings of the hvac system.

Horrible, their guy who was to do the prep painting checked out the patio the day before and said no problem, then the next day he refused to do the job. He had plenty of room to work on the overhead and just walked away saying he would no do it.
Our service person, Jose was great. He went above and beyond to service our a/c.

Do not use this company!They put locking caps on the Freon valves of the AC. The locks prevent other companies to charge the systems unless they have the keys for these locks. Chas claims it is the law to have these caps in place. However, I talked to three AC companies who have no idea what Chas is talking about and they don't have the keys. I spoke to the Arizona Registrar of contractors and the person actually laughed and said he isn't away of any law requiring this.I was forced to make an appointment with Chas Roberts so they can come out for a service AND remove the locks. They took it upon themselves to cancel the appointment.Very shady company, stay away far away. There are far to many honest companies to work with.

Michael Brickner came to fix some minor things that our home inspector found while doing an inspection just prior to the expiration of our one year new home warranty. Michael was incredibly conscientious and overall awesome, checking absolutely everything, giving me maintenance tips finding a few things that the home inspector missed. Dealt with Nizar at Chas Roberts, and was very happy. I had recently had one of their competitors out for the same problem and was given a crazy list of parts that I needed, along with a hefty bill. But Nizar fixed what was needed at a fraction of the cost, and did a thorough inspection of everything else, fully explaining the whole process. Definitely a satisfied customer.

On November 25, 2018 (Sunday) I got HVAC problem – the AC Unit was running constantly regardless of the temperature set for thermostat. I called Chase Roberts' Customer Service and they dispatched to me the technician who came exactly on the scheduled time. His name is Jose Ruiz. He is working for Chase Roberts from 2005. He immediately found the problem with “Contactor”, which was burned out. After a quick replacement of the defective detail, HVAC started to work without any issues. In addition, Jose Ruiz tested the entire Unit (freon, pressure, etc.). I was fullyy satisfied with the fast, professional and productive job done by Jose. I wish him and the entire Chas Roberts’ team of professionals al the best. Keep up the very good job!

So today I had the pleasure of paying $49 to get an estimate to hook up my soon-to-be BBQ and fire pit to a stub-out already located in my backyard. Twenty three feet. Less than $300 in material. All dirt right now, no access issues, clean fill and easy to dig the 18 deep trench... $3800. Yup, $3800. Maybe you can afford them but I certainly can't. The problem is they charge you for a licensed plumber to dig the trench! Yikes! Nope, send labor to do that. Even lawyers charge you less when work can be done by an assistant. Silly stuff.
Worked with Dale A on a noise problem. He was on time, professional and customer focused. He isolated our unit and reduced the noise level. His customer skills are a rarity these days and it was a pleasure working with him.

I called Chas Roberts A/C & Plumbing to fix a problem with inadequate cooling in my home's spare bedroom. The A/C Technician, Michael The Brick, showed up to my home one time (in fact, 5 minutes early). Michael diagnosed/fixed my problem within 2 1/2 hours. Also, the Chas Roberts technician explained what he found and what he did to fix the problem. Michael's knowledge and workmanship are top-notch! I would refer a friend/colleague/family member to this company!

My HVAC Tech Alejandro came to diagnose my no A/C condition with my unit. He quickly found the issue and fixed the problem and made sure I understood not only what the problem was, but gave me a thorough explanation of how the system works together as one. He made sure I understood my warranty and gave his preventative maintenance recommendations. Very professional and great customer service. Will be using Alejandro for any other issues I may have with my heating and cooling.

Chaz Roberts installed the air conditioning units in our newbuild home in 2019 sometime in 2021 I called in to have the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms checked because it was 10° warmer than the rest of the house they came out for free and said they fixed it and the room was definitely cooler now fast forward to 2023 we have a newborn and are using a bedroom that we never go in, come to find out they turned off the air conditioning in that bedroom to force it to the other room so I had to call them back out to fix it so that my son does not get heat stroke in an air conditioned house.... They charged me $150 for a 2 minute visit(literally) to pull a piece of metal that was taped over the vent I have never felt so ripped off before. The tech said they have to charge that when people keep flip flopping rooms although I never would have done it in the first place if I would have known that they where doing that. I originally called to have a problem fixed which they put a Band-Aid on and didn't fix and now it cost me $150 two years down the road to undo what they said would fix the issue.Response to owner- I completely understand charging fair for work but $150 to remove a piece of metal that took two minutes and could have been explained over the phone shows the lack of integrity in you and your company the $89 trip charge should have more than covered the effort that went in to fixing this issue. I assure you I will not be reaching back out for any future needs and also emplor anyone reading this review to look up this company on (yelp 2 stars!!) ... you will think twice about using there service.This is from my original home inspection report showing the issue that was not fixed it says bedroom 2 and 3 have issues so you chose to redirect air from 2 to 3 to fix the issue??? COMPREHENSIVE PROPERTY INSPECTIONS Report # : Lo0606JF Page 18 Part A 2© E Improper and / or lower air temperature split / differential readings for the HVAC system were observed in bedroom #2, #3 andthe hallway near the entry, recommend further evaluation of the HVAC system. they installed my a/c in 2019 when the house was new. The system failed three times since then. They came promptly each time and replaced major components twice. This last time they say they can only come to check out the problem in 11 days. I called another company which came out in 2 hours. They can replace the system which has sustained a complete failure, total coolant loss and compressor failure. Chas Roberts offered no installation warranty. The replacement will cost me 17,000 dollars. The installation had several major flaws. Don't use them.

These guys were on time and professional. Just had a little issue with the original install so had to swap the thermostat out. They also did a thorough check on the equipment to make sure it wasn’t running loud. They wear foot covers in the home too! Edgar is the best tech!
