Super reliable and responsive!

I just took a hot shower. As mundane as some might consider this, it was a Thanksgiving Eve miracle to me. My hot water heater has been completely down since last Saturday (and on the fritz nearly a week before that). This heater is exactly one year old, but it has given me trouble for as long as I've had it and the contractor who installed it was not willing to take responsibility for its many problems. In desperation, I called Goodman Plumbing, remembering them from a job they did for me more than 10 years ago. I called on a Saturday afternoon and Zack was there early the next morning, working on a Sunday and going out of his way to accommodate my schedule. The part he needed to fix it wasn't available (it being Sunday), but he pushed hard to have someone come out again the next day, timing the appointment for when I would get out of work. That technician, Shane, was just as empathetic and kind and competent. After fixing the unit itself, he realized the gas pressure was low overall, in not only the water heater, but the furnace and the stove. He told me how to get in touch with PGW so someone could come out to fix it. He even called me the next day to make sure PGW had come out. The PGW supervisor was so impressed that Shane diagnosed the problem (or part of it; read on). Three teams of PGW folks and a new gas line later, my heater and stove were working better than ever, but even with renewed adequate gas pressure, the pilot on the water heater wouldn't work. I called Shane, who finished the job he was working on and at past 4 PM on the day before Thanksgiving, when he could have shrugged it off, came right to the house and pulled apart the fuel valve (gas valve?). He eventually saw the back half of it was faulty and he was able to replace it with a spare he had been keeping just in case. He also installed a free CO2 detector. As far as I'm concerned, he is a plumbing Superman and I am forever in his debt. Because of him, not only can I enjoy the luxury of a hot shower, but I can do my dishes so that I can use them to finish cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Between Shane and Zack, it is obvious that Goodman Plumbing is the best contractor of its type in Philadelphia and they will have lifetime customers in myself and my extended family.

I opted for 24/7 emergency service because my kitchen sink drain was clogged and the water in the pipe just wouldn't budge. I was fortunate that John Snyder himself came through and saved the day. My experience was efficient and professional from beginning to ending. I received a call back from his office in a timely manner and after I provided the necessary details for the job, I received a text confirmation within minutes that John would be there with an approximate time. I received another text when he was actually heading my way. He was very personable, polite, and professional, and my kitchen sink drain was clear within an hour of his arrival. The cost was affordable and reasonable for quality work, which is what he delivered. After payment, I received a thank you, receipt, and review request via email. This was my first experience with John and I added him to my contacts without hesitation for future business. I strongly encourage you to do the same. Thanks again, John! ?

I had a massive emergency late night with water gushing out of my toilet supply line and not only would the valve behind the toilet not turn off nor would my main water shutoff valve. The basement was already flooded so I proceeded to call several so-called emergency 24 hr plumbers either they would not answer or they claimed there was no one working in my service area. At a last ditch attempt I called Boss plumbing and he answered right away, but unfortunately he said that he had just sent his emergency plumber out to a job. I must have sounded so exasperated that he said I'll come myself. Not only did he come exactly when he said he would he stayed in touch en route. He turned the water off in 3 seconds and fixed the issue quickly. Now don't get me wrong this wasn't cheap but money isn't an issue when you have gallons of water pouring into your finished basement the cost to fix that is exponentially higher if I couldn't find someone. Secondly, the next day I texted him to ask for a receipt and once agin he got right back to me and said he would email it. To sum it up Boss plumbing has A++ customer service and professionalism and that's hard to find in this type of industry. Lastly, they also do what they advertise which is emergency plumbing whereas I'd called several that advertised open 24 hrs but didn't even bother to answer. If you ever have an emergency or just any plumbing issue these are your guys

Price too high!

City Plumbing did a great job with replacing my sewer line (including the lateral) due to it being broken in two spots, and causing water to back up into the basement. It only took about a week from their initial inspection until they could secure the permits and start the work. They had a decent sized crew (maybe 5-6 members?) and finished the job in one day.We had some crazy rain storms come in the day afterwards (a Saturday), which caused all of that dirt which was removed and replaced to compact down, and caused a bit of a rut in the street. I was surprised and impressed that they got a two man crew out within maybe an hour or so, to quick fill up the hole with *a lot* of extra stone, just in case it continued to rain.City Plumbing then passed on the concrete work to another company (whose name I didn't write down), but, their work was just as professional. City Plumbing even had one of my neighbor's sidewalk blocks replaced because of a crack that occurred during the sewer line replacement.I am highly impressed with how City Plumbing operates and how reasonable their pricing was (compared to another larger, national company who quoted me at nearly twice the price), and would recommend them to anyone who is in need!

Tony was very punctual and professional. He was very informative and answered all the questions I had. He successfully diagnosed and fixed the issues I had in my home. I will use him again as well as recommend his services to others.

Prompt, honest and professional. They analysed our slow drain issue and determined that all we needed to do was use a monthly enzymatic pipe conditioner, despite our prior belief that we might need line cleaning out to the street. In short, they could have made a lot of money off of us if they hadn't been honest.

This company is outstanding. Billy and Richy arrived on time, introduced themselves and gave a reasonable estimate. The work was completed and suggestions were made for future work with no pressure or sales pitch. Billy explained the problems as he went along. They were both polite and professional. I will absolutely hire Aqua Plumbing & Heating again.

They arrive quickly and do solid work. The employees that you talk to and that come out are very nice.Would recommend, mostly for ASAP type services.Biggest con is price; they charge higher than smaller, locally owned plumbing companies. That said, if you need service right away with a price that you can feel confident will not change from the quote then go with these guys knowing you'll pay a little more.
