I just took a hot shower. As mundane as some might consider this, it was a Thanksgiving Eve miracle to me. My hot water heater has been completely down since last Saturday (and on the fritz nearly a week before that). This heater is exactly one year old, but it has given me trouble for as long as I've had it and the contractor who installed it was not willing to take responsibility for its many problems. In desperation, I called Goodman Plumbing, remembering them from a job they did for me more than 10 years ago. I called on a Saturday afternoon and Zack was there early the next morning, working on a Sunday and going out of his way to accommodate my schedule. The part he needed to fix it wasn't available (it being Sunday), but he pushed hard to have someone come out again the next day, timing the appointment for when I would get out of work. That technician, Shane, was just as empathetic and kind and competent. After fixing the unit itself, he realized the gas pressure was low overall, in not only the water heater, but the furnace and the stove. He told me how to get in touch with PGW so someone could come out to fix it. He even called me the next day to make sure PGW had come out. The PGW supervisor was so impressed that Shane diagnosed the problem (or part of it; read on). Three teams of PGW folks and a new gas line later, my heater and stove were working better than ever, but even with renewed adequate gas pressure, the pilot on the water heater wouldn't work. I called Shane, who finished the job he was working on and at past 4 PM on the day before Thanksgiving, when he could have shrugged it off, came right to the house and pulled apart the fuel valve (gas valve?). He eventually saw the back half of it was faulty and he was able to replace it with a spare he had been keeping just in case. He also installed a free CO2 detector. As far as I'm concerned, he is a plumbing Superman and I am forever in his debt. Because of him, not only can I enjoy the luxury of a hot shower, but I can do my dishes so that I can use them to finish cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Between Shane and Zack, it is obvious that Goodman Plumbing is the best contractor of its type in Philadelphia and they will have lifetime customers in myself and my extended family.

I opted for 24/7 emergency service because my kitchen sink drain was clogged and the water in the pipe just wouldn't budge. I was fortunate that John Snyder himself came through and saved the day. My experience was efficient and professional from beginning to ending. I received a call back from his office in a timely manner and after I provided the necessary details for the job, I received a text confirmation within minutes that John would be there with an approximate time. I received another text when he was actually heading my way. He was very personable, polite, and professional, and my kitchen sink drain was clear within an hour of his arrival. The cost was affordable and reasonable for quality work, which is what he delivered. After payment, I received a thank you, receipt, and review request via email. Professional, and timely. I had them in for an emergency water heater replacement, took 3 hours from my first phone call - on a Sunday. I cannot say enough about the excellent work.

Our kitchen sink back up yesterday and we called City Plumbing. They took our info and within four hours we had an appointment. The service person called in advance to give us a 30 minute time frame of when he was to arrive. Came on time, wore a mask, and was professional in his work. In less than 30 minutes fixed our sink and shared good practices to avoid trouble in the future. His name was Alex and we were pleased with their service.

Will never use this company again. I had my drain cleaned out and the first time it rained it backed up i called because it was supposed to be under warranty and they told me it was only for 30 days and thats not what the paper said. I called turner brothers plumbing and they came rite out fixed what fruscos was supposed to do fast and efficient . Thank you turner brothers for taking care of this mess.

When our furnace quit working on a cold January night, Derrick came the next morning and gave our 60-plus years old furnace its last rites and told us we needed a new furnace. He and his helper put in a new furnace over the next 2 days, even coming out during a snow storm to finish the job so we could have heat before the forecasted -10 degree wind chill hit us the next night. Great friendly service.

We bought our heater from McLoughlin about 10 years ago. We had no heat and called. It took a few hours, but someone came out to us, assessed the problem, and explained everything in great detail. Reliable was very fast to respond to me yesterday, send someone out to look at our issue and then arrange to replace my hot water heater. They were able to schedule service within 24 hours and completed the work professionally and at a fair price. Very positive experience.

Second time I've used this company. Both times I was charged a reasonable amount and received very good service from technicians who were friendly and professional. I did call someone else first and was given a quote that was very high, in my opinion. Then I called Hughes and they beat the other's price by half. Works for me.
