Thanks to Edward Hughes I have hot water in 1 day!! They were quick and professional. I called Monday morning and by Monday afternoon I had 2 men at my house with a brand new water heater installing it. The workers were clean cut and extremely nice !! the price was very reasonable. I will be calling Hughes plumbing for any and all of my plumbing needs from here on out.

These are great people. They've done many, many jobs for me, have come in a timely way when time is an issue, and have taken care of issues in a professional way. They've also done a few things in the kitchen that are in additional to the regular services they provide.

Absolute ignorant trash that works here. Unprofessional and complete moronic liars. Don’t waste your time with this company, they’ll make several appointments with you and never show up. Typical uneducated white people with minimal technical skills who weren’t taught manners and common courtesy. Idiots.

Very disappointed. Worked with Ed Hughes for a few years now.This last job I had a leaking shower. They charged me $450 to caulk some tiles. They couldn't find the leak and the problem persisted.Paid for another plumber who identified the problem immediately for half the price. He asked why Ed Hughes didn't even look at the drain.I've called Ed Hughes numerous times over the last couple weeks and the women on the phone are always fantastic but for some reason they can't get the plumbers to call me back.Really trying to understand what I paid $450 for? Would really like my money back.

Second time I've used this company. Both times I was charged a reasonable amount and received very good service from technicians who were friendly and professional. I did call someone else first and was given a quote that was very high, in my opinion. Then I called Hughes and they beat the other's price by half. Works for me.

I am incredibly satisfied with this company. When a leak started in our basement and we didn't know where it was coming from, we reached out. The initial contact (with what I'm assuming was an answering service) was a bit disconcerting but someone else reached out only a few hours later to set up a service appointment. The next morning, someone came out, immediately identified the problem, and sent out the next guy to fix it within a matter of hours. They forgot to replace the cap to the drain out on the sidewalk and someone came by the next day, even after they had already been paid, to remedy it. 10/10 would recommend- responsive, efficient, and show up when they say they will.

I had an issue with my water heater. I discovered water in my basement and it was coming from the water heater. I called around but many plumbers were booked because of the holidays or closed because of COVID. Edward Hughes & Sons was able send someone over to my home right away. Not only that, but they were able to give a quote on the spot and change the water heater right then. They had the water heater replacement I needed and did not leave until the job was done. They took out the old water heater and even installed some shut-off valves I was missing. They were quick, clean, and professional the entire time. I was very happy and was able to have a hot shower that day. I would only call them again and have told everyone I know that this is a good company. Thanks!!!

I was told this is a reputable company. Nowadays it seems, as with all other companies, it has gone down the drain. No one cares any more about doing their job right and leaving a customer satisfied. A company who takes pride in their work and who wants someone to come back to their business over and over again because their work is just that good. You do not get that with this company. Due to the inadequacies with the first visit, a second visit was required to come and finish the job. The prices are ridiculous, the workload, later in day, is rigged just to get out the door and call it a day. They even walk away with your plunger! Never again, lesson learned. 8/7: Update to my initial review. I just used for the first time the new water valve they replaced in the backyard where my hose is connected. The water pours directly out from the wall, great job guys! Maybe you should be less concerned about the reviews for your company and more concerned about the quality of your work. You heard right, they made a special trip to our home, after my initial review, to question my elderly Mother about my review. Another thing I need to replace after this company did the initial job!

I had an issue with my thermostat. It not longer was working correctly. I bought a new thermostat but was having issues hooking it up. I called Edward Hughes & Sons for assistance. They were real nice over the phone. I was able to get an appointment quick. The problem was quickly discovered. There was a wire that was no longer good that connects to the thermostat. They were able to replace the wire and connect the thermostat. They even showed me how to use it and set a weekly schedule. I also had them do a maintenance service to my unit to make sure everything was up-to-date and ok. They changed my filter and gave me some pointers. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a great experience and reasonable prices.

My Grandmother scheduled with this company to have a plumbing issue repaired They came out for an evaluation, figured out the problem, got a deposit, set an appointment to actually complete the repairs and didn’t show. After several phone calls and messages being left they finally showed up unannounced (nothing scheduled) to complete the repairs. They are very unprofessional, have a lack of communication, and clearly show up when they feel like. I’m glad the repairs are done but it was a very frustrating process.

Greg, with the assistance of son Greg and Fess, did an excellent job installing new shower and tub units in two of our bathrooms. We could not be more pleased with the results! We commend them on their professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail. They were respectful of our home, accommodating, responsive, and punctual. Greg had done a plumbing job for us previously with which we were equally pleased.

This has been an absolutely horrible experience using Edward Hughes & Sons. I originally had a plumber from their company come out and evaluate my leaking shower and what is needed to fix it. They even ordered a part. Then trying to schedule the follow up appointment to actually come out and fix the issue was a complete nightmare. They actually stood me up 6 times and never showed up! Good luck if you use these guys.

We needed someone to come out for an emergency plumbing repair on New Year's Day. They were timely, courteous, fixed the issue, cleaned up before they left, and were careful to ensure they followed COVID safety guidelines.So thankful they were able to come out!

Ed Hughes & Sons to the rescue. They replaced my water heater that was leaking. Called this morning and everything was finished in the afternoon. I've been using Hughes for years and they haven't disappointed me.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. On 1/8/20 I made the unfortunate decision to contact Edwards Hughes & Son Inc as my heat wasn't working. I needed someone asap as it was too cold for my elderly grandmother & they were the only company that could come out asap.I used them about 10 months ago to replace a leaking hot water heater. I also requested the heater be serviced. That night there was leaking from plumbing associated with the hot water heater. The boiler, which was supposed to be cleaned/serviced, was no longer turning on and remained covered in dust/dirt. When I called a person was sent out who agreed the boiler hadn't been serviced. He apologized & made arrangements for the heater person to come out the following day. He also made repairs to piping, what exactly I'm not sure. The heater was serviced the following day.Back to 1/28/20. A service person came out for lack of heat. He reported there was a backup light switch that someone must have turned off which was why the heat wasn't on/working. I was charged the $125 service fee. Later that day the house got warmer, but the temp did not go above 69 degrees. I called back to inform them of this and was told they could send someone out the following day. On 1/29/20 a service person returned and informed my grandmother there was something wrong with the pipes/vents. I called the co. to request a call to explain the issue. 1/30/20 I received a call, was told there was a problem with air vents not opening which he was able to open and an issue with a device that controls how much air may get in the piping so he bled pipes. He quoted a 2000 to replace pipes, but said if that didn't work a new heater would be 4700. I received a bill in the mail for 145. Today my hot water heater is leaking through the floor into the closet. I called, received a return call and stated my hot water heater was now leaking and this could lead to a lawsuit. I believe it was the owner who talked over me, did not listen and hung up on me. I have already called another plumber to come out. AVOID!!

I was having an issue with my heat. Edward Hugest & Sons Plumbing was highly recommended by a friend. I called up and got an appointment right away. They came over and found the problem. The repair was reasonable and my heat was up and working the same day as the visit. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good reputable company. There are a lot of crooks out there and you must be careful.

I have used Hughes Plumbing for more then 20 years and counting. From the first day, they have been completely honest, professional and consistent in their work, their guarantee, and cost savings for my family. My 30 year old AC unit finally went out on one of hottest days ever. I called Hughes, Rita called me right back, they came, wrote up a proposal that worked for me and my family, and the next day, they were here at 8am. When they were done, I had the best complete system I could ever imagine! Hughes does excellent work!

What can I say?Thanks to Hughes Plumbing the house heating system is inoperable. They left a 71y/o Vietnam War Veteran who was later diagnosed with cancer without heat for the rest of the cold season.They were hired to repair a steam house heater, they said it was the piping that was wrong (same piping was there when we bought the house 5 years earlier), they “Repaired” the piping after we took out a loan to pay them several thousand dollars, heat worked for a while and then never came on again.Called almost every day practically begging for them to come check it out. Calls went ignored, any appointment I was able to make were no shows and the reality of them not caring was real.Mr. Hughes you really should do the right thing.I depended on you and your company to fix our problem, and now due to your negligence, my senior father and I have figure out how we will come up with at least 50K to fix the entire system because that’s what was quoted due to the extensive work that has to be done to correct what you and your company did.My father does not deserve this.
