Jake The Plumber did an awesome job fixing my copper water pipes around my water heater and new water softener. The technicians were very knowledgeable, punctual, and friendly. They also quickly installed a relief valve for my outside water spicket, no better plumber to call in the Woodbury, MN area!

Roto-rooter unclogged a shared pipe leading away from the kitchens of two townhomes. They only charged the general service fee for unclogging a drain $408, and it comes with a 6 month warranty. Darrell provided very courteous & friendly social-distanced service. We used them previously for the same service about 2 years ago and will use them again if needed.

While the quality of workmanship was good, the estimation of the costs associated with our three small plumbing projects were poor. The estimate was off by more than 5.5 hours of labor, plus the job required two separate trips to our house, further increasing the cost. Parts were more than $300, which wouldn't be more than $100 at Menards (I know this because we bought the parts for the second part of the job and most went unused in favor of their own). We are disappointed with the overall project due to their incorrect assessments on what we could expect for the price of the project. Had we known the price of the plumbing project would be double the original estimate, we would have gone elsewhere. It's also important to note that if you are paying for hours of work, they will charge you for the 15-20 minutes spent prepping your invoice and running your credit card, too.

Tanya called to schedule a check of our AC system. She was friendly and upbeat. Tanya also made sure all the contact information was up to date and verified the age of our system. I appreciate her attention to detail and getting this service scheduled.

We noticed our water heater was starting to leak; the company was able to fit us in with a replacement next business day as it was a non-emergency. Tech was very professional. Also agreed to look at a leaky sink while he was here for reasonable additional fee. (Service was ~1.5 weeks ago.) Prices overall were reasonable; was $400 less for identical services than another company I called.

I called early in the AM and John showed up within the hour to help with a burst pipe. His work was timely, quality and done with a friendly smile. Would recommend him to anyone in the Minneapolis metro.

Steve came out today to fix a kitchen sink leak. He was very fast and even tightened up the faucet sprayer, that wasn't leaking. Excellent service, went above and beyond and was very fast. Installed a quality sink strainer. Will call back if needed

Right off the bat when talking to the scheduler/operator I had a feeling this place was not at all professional. When the tech arrived with tools in a bucket I didn't feel any better.

And then the time came for the fix...
The tech didn't have a handle puller to pull my shower faucet handle off. I stupidly agreed to pay a visit fee of $80 on the weekend. I regretted it right away because the tech had no shot to fix the problem, not having the tool to get past step one.

Don't go with this place. Absolutely no reason to pick them over an Eric Nelson Plumbing or Athena or Burnomatic or Uptown Plumbing.

Didn't get the refund I was after either,
A week later (Saturday) I called them to ask for some sort of refund. The person on the other end said it was busy that Easter weekend and told me they'd look into it and call me back on Tuesday. It's now the following Monday and I never got a call. Called them and ranted as politely as I could. He offered me 10% off my next plumbing job with them. Ha.

We had Nathan from Service Star Plumbing come out to our new home today to discuss repairs from our inspection report.
First, let me say, Jodi who handled my emails from the start, was great to work with! Jodi's responses were incredibly timely and Jodi was able to squeeze us in on short notice for an appointment to have Nathan come check things out and give us a quote. Not only was Jodi communicative in email, but I also got a confirmation text morning of the appointment and a text when Nathan was en route.
Nathan, was on time and a pleasure to work with from the start! Nathan addressed all concerns from our home inspection report and went into greater detail on our specific plumbing issues. Nathan was thorough and did not rush at all. Everything was explained as items were looked over. Nathan provide quote options at the end of our meeting, discussed those in detail, and we felt no pressure. Nathan made our consultation a breeze. Looking forward to working with Nathan and team soon!

I had two toilets that needed repair. Mark came the same day and fixed them both. Prompt, efficient personable service. Would definitely reccomend.

Northern Plumbing and Softening were outstanding! Mason was our onsite installer, he was on time, very professional and answered all of my questions, offered thoughtful ideas and answered my Wife’s questions too. It’s very obvious to me that Mason is very capable, knowledgeable and was just pleasant to have come to our home to replace our water softener.

Our Sales Rep was Jon Lund and he is very knowledgeable and professional as well, with many years of experience. He was very timely and efficient at getting us scheduled for repair at our cabin up north.

My air was running and I was told I would need 700 dollars of wiring when the unit is running, which he shut off. Then I was told it would be 6-10 thousand dollars. Total scam.

Mike did a great job! We had a sudden leak in a pipe on a Saturday and he was out to repair it within a couple hours. He also did some other repairs that we needed done. He was very professional and completed the work in a timely fashion. The next time I need a plumber I will definitely call Paul Bunyan Plumbing. This was the best experience I’ve ever had with plumbing repairs. Thank you so very much!
