Great work by Jake the Plumber! We had a drippy faucet in the bathtub, Jake came out and gave us an estimate and we decided to have the work done. I was impressed with each person we met. Adam in the office was great and helped troubleshoot and scheduled same day service. Stu was professional, on time, wore shoe protection and wowed us with his knowledge. I will be calling for all future needs. We highly recommend Jake the Plumber.

I had some major issues with the floor drain in my basement and mechanical room sink.
Rotoworks showed up quickly and got both problem areas fixed ASAP! They were a pleasure to work with and they take electronic payment, I find paying bills via the mail to be cumbersome and time consuming.

I’ve also used them for other less intensive issues and they were also awesome to work with.

I’d hire them again in the future, without question, in fact I trust them to be in my residence without supervision!

I was very satisfied with how efficient And timely the service was done. I had to have the drain line scoped and was scheduled right away, the second service person came within 24 hours and spent a significant amount of time removing a broken plug that was blocking the line. The first tech then came back to scrape out the line. All in all it was well coordinated and the problem has been solved.

Brian was very professional, straightforward and clean. He explained everything and did what he said he would. He also made suggestions, but was not pushy. Very friendly.

John was great. Fixed my hot water pressure issue, gave me multiple options with estimates for each. He walked me through how each differed and what the advantages of each were. Highly recommended.

He said he would show up at 9 am.
I took the time off of work to be home.
He never showed.
He called almost 2 hours later to say sorry but his back hurt.
Now I understand that people have injuries but to wait that long to call was absurd.
I guess that's the risk you take when trying to give the little guy your business.
Now I have to pay emergency rates and take more time off work :-(

2017 I did Phase I of a big renovation and spent 19K with Steinkraus and when I got the bill I asked for back up documentation to support the invoice and was given the run around and an answer well we aren't the cheapest plumbers and we need to cover overhead. When we started Phase II we really like the plumber and thought let's give them a second try and asked for another person to be our contact. They sent the owner Merle and he did a bid which we signed but stated we were concerned that some of Phase III might be included but were told don't worry we will be fair and take care of you. When I got the 17K bill I had kept track of all the hours. I am about 5K in the dark how they came up with the total and they refuse to itemize the invoice. My advise is if you work with them it is time and materials and you ask for documentation. The time spent on site for Ryan was a total of 67 x $135.00 = $9045.00 plus $1000.00 Material plus fixtures $2440.00 =$12, 485.00. Even if you added on a 20% management fee it still would be below the $17,210.00 invoice I received. So basically they charged me $205.00 an hour? I just wish they felt the need to walk me through all the charges but they have no interest. The good news we think our plumber was great just not the front office. The bad news is we have Phase III and can't use them. 5 Stars for plumbing!

WAY OVERPRICED, GET A SECOND OPINIONFirst off, our technician and sales guy were great, nothing negative about that part of the experience. The technician was quick and taught me a lot about how my furnace works, explained the things he saw that were wrong, and figured out which ones to fix (which ended up working). The sales guy wasn't super pushy (just a little) and was extremely knowledgeable about technical details.The prices are outrageous, though. I was quoted $2.5k to get the furnace up and running (control board and cleaning), so I called someone else and got it done for much cheaper (the board was only $150 + labor, but HomeWorks quoted $1k for that alone). I understand that you need to charge for labor and a bit of profit, but $850 for swapping out a board that probably took the other tech 10min to hook up the wires to is a little much.

Completely saved us this morning with a severely clogged toilet. He was at our place within 12 minutes, and quickly and efficiently fixed the issue (which included removing the toilet and putting it back on!). Joe was the dude, and was extremely professional and nice. Would highly recommend.
