Prices are basically the highest they can get away with. We've gotten a furnace and water heater from Cardinal. The cost for each was at the VERY top of estimates I found online. As in, estimates for a 40 gallon water heater w/installation from current, credible sites ran from $900-1400, and Cardinal charged us $1380. No 'extra' work, just carting the old one away, carting the new one in and attaching the pipes. Similar situation for our furnace. The service was good, as in they were there quickly and did the work within a few hours. But they kind of have you over a barrel. When you need a new furnace you need it NOW, and when they give you a high estimate, your choice is to either take it, or be cold until tomorrow when another company can come out who might be cheaper. Of course, you will probably just take Cardinal's quote and get it over with. I don't like that way of doing business and we're going elsewhere in the future.

Super place if they don't have it you don't need it

We have called these guys twice now, and for both problems they showed up really fast, and figured out the problem within an hour. In one case, they cleared the drain pipe clog themselves, in the other, they diagnosed the problem as a dead septic pump. In the second case, they called another service to install a new pump and charged a VERY reasonable rate to diagnose and refer. Both interactions were friendly, prompt and they were able to discern the issue perfectly. Nothing but good things to say about these guys!! A+

We have used Oliver's Plumbing, Ron, for our home plumbing repair/updates for years. During that time his service was spot on. For the past month we had 4 firm dates to replace fixtures from him. The first was for July 7th. Excuses included, had to cancel to do emergency water heater replacement - which we understood as our project was not an emergency. The next excuse was he forgot to put the fixtures in his truck and it would take too long to drive back to New Glarus to get them. Today, August 10, 2023, 15 minutes before he was to arrive he called to cancel, his truck broke down. The only excuse he has not used is the dog ate the fixtures. If I were to take a stab at identifying the problem, I would say he is retired and does plumbing as a hobby and for a little spending money. Trust me, this is not the Ron Oliver you knew. Add Not Reliable Don't hire this guy!
