Dan was awesome! Professional, polite and easy going. We had a plugged toilet that another company came and looked at for less than 2 minuets, told us our main sewer line was the issue and charged us over $100 for the 2 minuets that were here. The other company’s employee seemed annoyed to be here. Roto rooter came the same day and solved our problem in about 15 minutes. So thankful for roto rooter and will always recommend them. What an awesome, professional, helpful and friendly company.

We had a plugged main line and Jay was on call, he was very respect and polite. He did excellent work and was very good with the kids asking so many questions. He was fast and thorough had good information to help us from having anymore issue. Roto-Rooter had good equipment but this family will go back because of Jay and his excellent customer service. Hopefully we don't need to though :).

We had Ryan come out on Sunday and he did a fantastic job! Talked us through what he found, fixed the issue, and gave us a ton of helpful tips to make sure we aren’t causing future blockages.

Called on a Monday evening with some basement drain concerns. It was no more than 40 minutes from the time my call was taken until Aaron(?) was at my place and unloading his equipment.
Aaron was very polite and thorough in explaining what was found and how to avoid similar concerns in the future.
Amazingly prompt and effective service... If ever needed, roto rooter Madison will be my first call.

I can't say enough great things about these guys. We had an issue with clogged pipes in the basement. Colton and Aaron were at our house less than 20 minutes after we called and they had our problems solved in less than an hour. And at 4:00 on a Friday afternoon no less. They were both super friendly and personable, and very knowledgeable.

My sewer line backed up due to tree roots this past Sunday 6/10/18. I called the Service Line Warranty folks and was told that Madison service shops did not open until 8 or 9 am on weekend mornings. They also said that they'd expedite my request, so I expected to hear from someone by 9 or 10:00 am at the latest. No one called, so I called Service Line Warranty around 11:30 am. They said that they had contacted Roto Rooter here in Madison and that they had accepted the call. I asked when they had done this and they told me 10:45 am their time (9:45 am here). So why the wait beyond the time they told me shops here in Madison open? What does expedited service mean?

A little before noon I got a call from the local Roto Rooter service person. He said that he was the only person working for the entire Madison area and was backed up. He arrived a little after 2:00 pm and by 3:00 pm my sewer was unplugged. His name is Ryan and he apologized for the delay. He was very friendly, worked hard, and was efficient. I rate him at 5 stars but give the Service Line Folks zero stars for their handling of my call. I felt misled for having waited all morning for a contact of some sort, and then for half the afternoon. I've provided this detail because of the many Madison residents forced to subscribe to this Service Line Warranty arrangement. Hopefully, they handle their calls better during weekdays.

Again, 5 stars for Ryan at Roto Rooter and zero for Service Line Warranty.

Dan R did a thorough job for us again. He made some maintenance recommendations and was kind to my inquisitive 5-year-old. The price was fair; the service was fast, hours from when we called on the same day, and the work area was kept clean. The office called before he arrived too. For a necessary job like this, I would definitely give them a call!

We took Dan up on the yearly service recommendation last year and got a card in the mail to schedule an appointment. I called without an emergency and planned for a couple of days later. That morning I got a call letting me know they were on schedule, and Brett, the technician, came out to do the maintenance! I am pleased about the service and, once again, informative work by a professional. Thanks, Brett! I also saved 5% for using the yearly maintenance program, and I have no worries about tree roots or other backups with a 6-month guarantee. Great job, Roto rooter!

Feb 2020, the tech Mark came out and did a great job. Every time Roto-Rooter comes out, they do a great job and clean up! Mark added a missing floor drain cap today that was missing. I didn’t know it was missing, so that will help with keeping things healthier in our finished basement. Plus, I got some useful information about keeping it maintained and how it works — another great job with the yearly maintenance.

Excellent responsive service. I called on a Monday morning about a drain overflow in our basement and they said they hoped to get someone out to our house by the end of the day. An hour after my initial call, I received a call that a technician was on his way to our house. He cleaned out our drain and was done in about 30 minutes. The entire process took less than two hours after my initial phone call for their service to be completed to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend using this company.

Wow, I am blown away by the excellent service I just received by RotoRooter! Our kitchen drain clogged up last night and we couldn't unclog it ourselves. I called RotoRooter this morning and talked to an extremely nice, professional man who then scheduled me for service just a couple hours later. The technician was just as professional and great to work with! He had the drain cleared up in a matter of minutes and I couldn't be happier. I called to get my sewer lines cleaned out. And the women i talked with took down my name and phone number and said someone will get back with you???? Well i am still waiting for there phone call??? So i called them to see why no one has called me back?? Here i find out that they scheduled me for a Wednesday or Thursday that i didn't know that as i didn't set anything up with them??? I have been a customer for a number of years now and they always have been good about calling me back and setting up a date. I won't be have them come to my house again. I will be calling someone else from now on..

Just finished up an experience with Roto Rooter. Was a 100% positive experience from start to finish. Scheduled the appointment with a lady over the phone who was extremely pleasant and helpful. Received two separate calls from a guy named Marshall on my service date today to keep me abreast of the timeline for arrival for the roto rooter guy. Then had Jay handle everything at my house. He was super professional, personable, answered every question, and made me feel very confident in the entire process. Price was great as well. I just called to schedule an appointment to have them service my toilet drain in my basement, as I had removed the toilet and saw a large tree root in the drain.

They suggested that before I have them come over I just try to pull on the root itself and see if I could remove it without professional help.

I tried it, and succeeded! It was long and gross, but I solved the problem with their guidance.

You don’t run into that sort of helpfulness every day, and I greatly appreciate their choosing to offer advice, rather than just seeing an opportunity to make money.

I know who I will be calling the next time I have a drain issues.

Used Roto-Rooter, out of McFarland, services yesterday (3-7-22). Complete main line blockage. Ryan was service tech that became our hero for the day! I can not say enough about Ryan and his friendly yet professional service and knowledge(!!) of unclogging our septic system. Thumbs up to Tera (who helped schedule services) and Ryan at Roto-Rooter! I have no complaints so far about the sewer/drain work that Roto-Rooter did under the sidewalk where our house's line connects with the city's line. Only time will tell if any issues with that work will be found, but there's no reason to believe there should be any. However, they had a landscaper come out and grade the dirt and put grass seed down in the areas that were disrupted in the dig. We have prairie plants planted on both sides of the sidewalk, and clearly no grass. It shows either a lack of perception, thoughtfulness, or conscientiousness in that they either didn't notice, didn't think about it, and/or didn't bother to ask us whether we wanted grass seed put down. The same goes for the landscaper who went ahead and did the work and never checked in with us the home owners. That lack of customer service is concerning and makes me wonder about the work underground that we can't see.

Our main sewer drain was clogged and started to seep back through the basement floor drain. Called Roto-Rooter the next morning and had a technician at our door a couple hours later.
