I have a house in Baltimore city and I was in need for plumbing advice. I found Empire plumbing and Heating llc and I called them and scheduled an appointment .
The technician came out on time and I paid the fee for plumbing consultation upon arrival. I’m so glad I made this move because all the other plumbing companies were trying to sell me stuff that I didn’t need. Honest , respectful, knowledgeable and helpful that’s all I wanted to say. Geo installed a new water heater in the basement of our hundred year old house. He gave us important advice and information on what size and type of heater we needed, and even advised us to spend less money than we might have otherwise.

The work is perfect, and he was on time, fast, and my basement was clean and tidy when he left. He has even helped us get our manufacturer’s warranty for the heater.

Mike, the supervisor, was professional and was quick and ready to perform our sewer problem. His team, Martin, Tim and Wayne were great! T&D Plumbing was contracted by NPL to disconnect, move and reconnect several A/C compressors as they did their work on the BGE gas line upgrade in my neighborhood in Bolton Hill. It was our great, good fortune to have had Jeff Martin and Ralph Collins to do the work for each of us. They both have a great sense of humor and respect each other beyond compare. They told each of us clearly and simply what they needed to do, what they saw in the condition of the units and assured us that the compressors would be fully functioning after their work is done. It is my experience that you get the bare minimum in such sub-contracted work. NOT SO WITH THESE TWO GENTLEMEN! They cleared leaves in my unit and washed it down and checked with gauges pressure and coolant levels and topped off. It is the nature of our yards that there is not much room to move. These guys found nothing to be a problem and offered their insight and suggestions as to what to expect from my older compressor and how to lengthen it’s life. I will definitely keep these guys and T&D Plumbing in my contacts!

After this season's rains, we found a hole in the back yard of our 1925 house, which turned out to be the remains of a septic tank that was original to the property, and which we'd never realized was there.

Frank Taciak arrived on time to assess the situation, gave us a estimated price, followed by emailing a written quote. Several weeks passed before we were able to schedule the work, but Frank stayed on top of it, got here as we'd arranged, and completed the job, taking particular care with the garden plants that were near where the dig was done.

I would recommend this company without reservation. Great job!

I paid these people upfront To repair a waterline. They dug up my yard and could not find where the water was coming from. They left my yard with two giant 3 to 4 foot holes for two days. Very unresponsive to texts and emails. I guess you get what you pay for! And they are cheap, cheap price and cheap quality!

Edit to owner's response: First, I understand that there needs to be a permit pulled. What I don't understand is why it took Chris Darr over three weeks to get back to us and only after constant calling (he blames an office mix-up). What I don't understand is why Mr. Darr and everyone else at the office says that they have record of the work, but no contract. We have the financing paperwork here at the house. Mr. Darr knows the work was done. So you saying my mother failed to provide a contract, seems to be a superfluous claim. What I don't understand is how the city has been out three times and says it's on my side, I paid an independent company and I have their report saying it's on my side (which I showed to your people), but you're saying that you have your doubts that you're even responsible for it? What I don't understand is the job supervisor getting crappy with my elderly mother on the phone yesterday when this entire thing has been mishandled by your company from day one. These are the things that I have problems understanding... not about the permit.

If I could rate in negative, I would. The run around and complete disrespect I have seen these men give to my elderly mother is appalling. Work has a lifetime guarantee, but good luck getting anyone at the company to do anything about it. Almost two months later from the initial call, and not one thing has been started. Every time we call and say that they need to come out and fix the pipe because it is washing away our yard, the water bill is so high we can't pay it, etc., we are told that they'll get here when they get here, and everything else is not our problem. The one gentleman even told my mother that he wished there wasn't a lifetime guarantee on the work because she keeps bothering him. So sorry that you don't want to do your job, but our livelihood is being affected and her home is being ruined because you all are playing around instead of doing the work.

Dave is the best at what he does! He is honest and always shows up on time. I recommend him 1000%.

I was really impressed with the response time for my emergency. Ira Miller was extremely professional. He explained the root cause for the plumbing failure and the actions he will take to address it. He performed the repairs, and went through the process one more time. He gave additional instructions and left the working area in a clean condition. The interaction with Ira Millar was very positive. I am very happy with the time it took to address my emergency and the experience during the visit.

After several companies I ended up choosing Alpha for my bathroom addition. Chuck cared not just about the current project but any future plans I had for our new home so that they could take that into account when handling their portion. Their professionalism each time they came out to do work was unmatched by any other contractors I have hired. SLS SERVICES IS A SCAM! DO NOT USE. My mother who is on a fixed income paid SLS Services for a new furnace and a chimney liner. For months, she was unable to get Justin Turner nor his assistant Fritz on the phone. She left messages and texts. NO REPLY. I decided to gently reach out to Justin and Fritz and again more of the run around. I was told several times by Fritz that he would get out to us the past weeks and DID NOT. BE WARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
