To ensure an accurate bill and minimal digging in my front yard, the appraisor spent 2 hours searching for the buried sewer line. Plumbing crew was on-time and careful in digging with the backhoe to ensure no collateral damage to sidewalks. They installed an extra cleanout and did not bill me for it. Appraisor made sure to tell me of the discount coupons available. Accidental billing oversight was corrected as soon as I sent my simple email reporting it. Answered all my questions. Took time to clean up the work site.

Very professional and great service. Called another company who had no idea of what to do. Wasted my time and money on them. Called Abbott’s and they had it done within an hour. Eric is the man. Will call them again in need. Great Service, Great experience with this local company.

Chuck arrived during the time frame I was told. He explained what he was doing and what it would fix. i learned a lot from him.

When I called I was given a window of time 10 AM - 2 PM. At 9:55 AM I received a call the technician was on his way. Punctuality a plus ! Eric was fantastic with the quality of service and explained everything he was doing including the possible end options. He was successful in snaking the exterior cleanout, removing tree roots and confirming the interior line was in good shape. I had a very positive comfort level with Eric and his successful completion of this job which avoided the necessity of replacing the sewer line . Kudos and gratitude to Eric and Abbott's Plumbing

I had a sewer pipe collapse a year ago and
Abbotts Plumbing did the work efficiently and explained everything. A year later, after a torrential rain, I was going to work, and I noticed the corner of where to sidewalks met. I had a collapsed hole like a sinkhole. Abbotts came back to check to see if there was any problem. The problem was easily resolved, and Jeremy. The technician explained everything, was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Abbotts is the only company I call for Plumbing. in the past they have repaired toilets, cleared, sinks, and tubs. They do it all.

Oleg was the plumber- He have an accurate appraisal and worked quickly to fix 4 items- he had to replace a faucet and pipe and it was done professionally- he was very clear in accounting as well- Fine job all around.

We needed a new hot water tank after our 19-year-old tank started leaking all over our utility room floor. We found Abbott’s through an internet search and saw they had a coupon deal. I called and was immediately scheduled for the next day. We called back later and asked for another task to be added to the job, and this was accepted, too. As promised, we received a phone call first thing in the morning with the technician’s anticipated arrival time. Ben arrived as scheduled. In this time of Covid, he kept his mask on the entire time. He was polite, courteous, and professional. He answered our questions and shared valuable information that could help us if we wanted to add things or improve things in the future. He was honest and not pushy. Maybe some companies would want this, but, as customers, we don’t. (I feel like I should add that we found Abbott’s after our warranty company wouldn’t work with us to replace our hot water tank and we already had another company they work with come out. That company said we needed several other things and wanted to change us $1100 more than Abbott’s. I will never use them but would recommend and use Abbott’s again in a heartbeat.) The work was done efficiently, neatly, and of good quality. We appreciated Ben’s respectful attitude. Thanks, Ben and Abbott’s!

It was a lucky day when I found Abbots plumbing. Richard arrived at 8:00 sharp to assess my problem. He was efficient, patient, and knowledgeable. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand. He also found a leak that has been costing me a lot of money. Thank you Richard for your expertise. And thank you Abbots plumbing.

Abbott's Plumbing was very attentive during a very stressful time. We had a kitchen pipe crack with all the cold weather we've had lately. I called Abbott at 8:00 pm got through right away. A tech called within the hour and said they would call in the morning at 7:30. The next morning as promised a call came through and within an hour was at my house working the problem. The tech Brandon was very professional and went the extra effort to ensure this happens less likely in the future. Also thought, was very reasonably priced. I had other companies saying it would be a week to see me. Very happy with the service received an if the need arose would use them again.

Have known for awhile that my main sewer line was probably going to need to be replaced. I've had an insurance type policy through BGE Home to help cut the cost when the time came and had an estimate from them for the job. I decided to call around to compare and just get a few more quotes and opinions. Abbott's initially came out and said there would be a fee to video the line before they could give an estimate so I apologized for the misunderstanding and said I wasn't going to get the estimate. That was on the weekend.

First thing Monday morning, the manager from Abbott's called and said he had gone through the weekend calls and realized there had been a mistake and I was told that in error. They absolutely were not charging me to video the line to diagnose and give an estimate. He said he still wanted a chance at my business and offered to send someone out that day to give me the estimate. Right then I felt that the customer service was already top notch! I was impressed that they cared enough to pursue me as a customer and correct the miscommunication over the weekend.

Richard came out and spent a few hours videoing the line and reviewing all of the options with me. To make a long story short, I spent the next several hours calling him back with question after question. I was upfront with them about my policy with BGE Home and my inclination to use them to take advantage of that policy.

In the end, Abbott's matched the price for the trenchless replacement offered through BGE with my policy (which was an incredible match!!!!!), came out the NEXT day to complete the job, arrived on time, and warranty their work for LIFE. Even BGE Home said they understood why I had to go with Abbott's!

Richard, Vince, Pat and the rest of the crew who completed the work were all outstanding. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly patient with this crazy lady who asked a thousand questions about the replacement. I feel confident the job was done correctly, it was inspected by the county, and it is one less thing I have to worry about now! Great customer service!

Abbott's plumbing did a very good job repairing our broken sewer pipe in our yard. The crew was on time and completed the job in a shorter time then originally quoted. We were not happy about the way they had replaced the concrete slaps that they had removed to fix our pipe. Emailed Tim and explained our dissatisfaction. He had a crew out the next business day to handle our issue. You have to appreciate a company that works hard to keep their customers satisfied. I will recommend Abbott's plumbing to family and friends.

I got a call earlier this morning that the technician would arrive between 10 and 1. The technician arrived at 10 and began to install the water heater. It only took a couple of hours and now we're back in the hot water business. The technician did a great job.

Had a couple of guys come out from Abbott's. They would not address one of the problems, namely- a leaking pvc pipe that was improperly installed originally by different plumbers. Here is my complaint: they went outside to look at the outer wall where the leak was happening, and must have seen the huge swath of water on the brick which I first saw hours later. This is a fine point, and it wasn't their responsibility to mention this.
But they neglected to be completely honest with me about the extent of the leak, which they must have seen. I recommend Honest Abe Plumbing instead, and will not call Abbott's again, for that one small but indicative non-communication.

Put a full bathroom in my basement, to include running new sewer and water lines. showed up on time, finished early and was cheaper then other plumbers I called. even came outside of their work area to do it. would use them again.

Daniel L. came out to our house for a water heater replacement and running a new gas line for our dyer. I give him and the company an A++, very courteous, professional and most importantly made me feel comfortable in my decision process. I am glad I went with Abbott's and will defiantly use next time. Men that did the work were pleasant but they were entirely wrong about where our plumbing problem was and it cost us a large amount of money and a dug up front yard for no reason. They refused to cut their price even though they were wrong in their estimation of where the problem was.....it was actually the county's responsibility and not on our property.

Rich did a great job explaining my plumbing issue. He used a camera to show me the status of my pipes and advised me of ways to prevent the soft clogging issue. He was personable, informative, and professional.

After negotiating a reasonable price for three projects to be done in my home, work was begun by replacing a water boiler.
As a former GC, I recognized Wayne's work and that of a master plumber with a discerning eye for sound craftsmanship and good business. Unfortunately, during the WB procedure I lost electrical power in part of my house. Wayne tried to reset the circuit breaker, without success. The next day I called in an electrician who after some time, located the source of the power failure. It so happened that an electrical outlet located behind the WB was the culprit.
The other two projects went very well.

I'm only giving five stars because I cannot give six. I'm a landlord that lives out of state, so when the pipes froze in the house my tenants were desperate and I couldn't get there. I called fifteen plumbers, literally, none of whom were willing to even try to unthaw my pipes for fear of breaking them, despite my assurances that I'd rather they broke the pipes than leave them frozen for weeks. Finally I got a hold of Abbott, and they agreed to at least try, and they could come the next day. The plumber stayed for 3 or 4 hours with a heat gun and finally was able to clear the frozen water. There wasn't even any damage, though I would have happily paid for any. These guys are thoughtful, listened to the problem, and spent the time to get the issue fixed. I'll never use anyone else.

My outside hose faucets were literally falling off the wall. Chuck knew what to do and replaced them with much higher quality components and gave them a really solid connection to the concrete wall. He was totally prepared, knew what to do, and had no problem with me watching anything he did. He was on time and paid attention to what I was asking for - in my non-plumber's language. The whole job was almost no disturbance to the 4 people working at home. Great job, I would be glad to have him back here anytime.

Quickly diagnosed and fixed my leaking toilet (leaking through to ceiling below). They also explained the number of issues they addressed. We'll worth the money.

Had a sticky boiler repair problem, was advised that it sounded too hard to fix and the service call would be $189. Though I appreciate the honesty, $189 show up fee means you had better be a master of your craft. Since the issue was that the problem sounded too hard for their $189 tech, I suspect their tech is not worth the Baltimore area high of $189. Friendly advice, avoid these crooks.

This review is completely fair. If you aren't able to wire thermostats, you shouldn't purport to install boilers, and $189 to show up is criminal in any service business. There are plenty of providers that will charge under $100 and possess their own license.

They responded in less than two hours, where very friendly and took the time to explain everything. Quality work for a good price.

Exceptional service. They went above and beyond in all aspects of servicing our needs. They treated all aspects of their workmanship as if they were working on their own project at their own homes. With little knowledge regarding the plumbing problem impacting our new bathroom renovation, I reached out to Abbotts. Jeremy was prompt and informative as he evaluated several aspects of our plumbing in order to troubleshoot and diagnose. Ultimately, he directed us to the original company to fix the problem, as well as provided images and notes to support our case. There is no one else I will call again besides Abbott Plumbing.

The plumbers from Abbott's were great! They worked efficiently and cleanly while repairing the water line leak underneath the concrete slab of my house.

I had a new furnace installed by Abbott's and I have to say, from the first contact, to the quality installation, to the professionalism of the install crew, was top notch. You can't do any better than this company. They rock!

Don't know much about plumbing, but husband was happy with the work. The workers were polite.

We needed a main sewer line and waterline replacement at our home in Parkville. Abbotts digging team was awesome. They were friendly, prompt, and kept us informed as to what was going on throughout the day. They even returned the next day to check our water pressure. They are hard workers and do quality work.

Gouge is the best word to describe the price. This was not a rush job and we were charged about double what was reasonable compared to other plumbers. The tech was very nice and did a good job which salvaged my rating from a 1 to a 3. KEEP THE EMPLOYEE, BUT GET REASONABLE ON PRICING or you will hurt your referral business. We certainly can't recommend you.

I have used Abbott's in the past and have had a great result each time. My latest encounter was further proof they are the best when it comes to plumbing. I called for them to investigate a hot water heater noise late in the day on Monday. They told me they could come the next day on Tuesday afternoon. They called me to see if the plumber could come early since he has finished up another job and was available earlier than the afternoon. The plumber was professional and very informative with the diagnosis of my problem. He laid out the facts and left it in my hands to make the best decision for me without pressuring me into a costly repair. I truly appreciate that about Abbott's as it has been my experience to get a solid diagnosis without pressure to make a repair. I decided to move forward with the work and they made arrangements to bring out the parts and make my repair the same day! The plumber's work was top notch and my issue was resolved. I didn't expect to have the work completed that same day, but they made it possible. It was done right, with a smile and the wonderful warranty as they stand by all of their work! I will continue to be an Abbott's customer for life. If you are in need of a plumbing professional, don't look any further!!!

Richard was extremely knowledgeable, informative and did a phenomenal job. Easily should be teaching his craft to future plumbers/contractors!

Valve needed to be replaced. The guy gave me a quote close to $500 for something that would take 15 minutes to fix and the part would cost $5-$10. I declined so he took off $150 which is still a lot so I said no thanks I’ll call someone else. I didn’t want to do business with dishonest people so I just paid the $50 for them to come out and do nothing. Called a different plumber and he fixed it for $125 and was done in 10-15 min. I would never ever call this overpriced dishonest company again. I see another post by someone else saying the same thing...interesting.

Abbott’s responded within one hour. The tech was very courteous and professional. I will use them for all of my plumbing needs.

My daughter needed her sewer line replaced and got quotes from 3 companies. She immediately liked the folks from Abbott the most, and had the most confidence in them but the price was higher than the others. Abbott's reduced the price and promised to do the work the next day! The two man crew showed up on time, were amazingly cheerful, professional and fast! The sewer line was almost bursting from an enormous tree root that had infiltrated it (they laughingly referred to it as an anaconda!). When they broke the line it was a totally unpleasant experience for the two guys but that didn't seem to dampen their spirits or leave them unable to laugh a bit about it. They replaced the line, filled in the trench and then seeded the lawn!! They swept not only the sidewalk but the street in front of her home so that it wouldn't get muddy. I was so impressed I wrote a thank you to the company. I will always recommend this company to family and friends, and if I need any of their services they have my business!!

Abbott's responded very quickly and resolved our plumbing problem effectively and efficiently. Process of repair and cost were clearly explained and not deviated from. This is the third time I have used Abbott's Plumbing for plumbing repairs. I will continue to use them and would highly recommend them to others. Other family member's have used them as well and they initially came recommended to me by a family member.

Excellent gym for fitness

Called Abbott's for a garbage disposal replacement. They scheduled an appointment and advised there would be a $49 charge for coming out which would be waived if they ended up providing service. They called the next morning and arrived promptly. The technician Steve was polite and professional and within 1 minute advised me that I needed a new disposal - I already knew this and had purchased one the day before. The technician advised the cost would be $496 to install. I believed the cost was outrageous, paid the required $49 and declined the service. A plumber that I know who does private work said he would have charged $50. I would have gladly paid $100 but really, $496 to install a disposal. I'm marking Abbott's Plumbing off my list and will never call them again.

Richard and Brooks just finished the job at my house. They were excellent.. They knew exactly what to do and completed the job without any issues. I am very pleased with their work and how Abbott's responded to my plumbing emergency.

Tech was knowledgeable and took the time to explain what he was doing. Very thorough.

So I will review my review from a few days ago. I was pretty annoyed, but figured I'd calm down and provide more clarify. My wife calls a plumber to check out a small job. They call me and say it'll be $50 to come and that goes towards the expense of the case upon a hire. To their credit, they arrive quickly. The guys are nice, but after showing them the two issues, which I believed to be fairly minor, they tell me the small job will cost $500, but that if I hire for both, it'll be about $450.

I felt that was a bit high, and I asked how long it'll take them and they tell me that one issue will take about 15 minutes to fix and that costs $230 (approximately - don't have the receipt with me at the moment) and the other one will be closer to an hour and that'll be closer to $370 and will take closer to an hour to fix. I ask them how they figure that job costs that much and they tell me that it's the price. I cannot for the life of me understand how a 15-minute job to fix a ring on a sink drain costs over $200.

I tell them no thanks and I had to pay them $50 just to come out to do an estimate. After they left I looked myself online and found numerous contractors (and plumbers) that give free estimates estimates and I feel contractors that are overpriced and don't get hired are the ones that charge for estimates.

Their work might be good, but I don't and won't ever know. To their credit, they were fast and would be good for emergencies, but I felt I wasted $50 and that left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't care for their business model and still question their prices. Nothing wrong with paying for skilled labor, but last time I checked, plumbers don't make more an hour than lawyers, and the vast majority of lawyers I know (and I know a lot) don't charge as much an hour as this company was going to.

The service that Abbott's Plumbing provided is second to none. I greatly appreciated the prompt service and professionalism of the service technician.

DO NOT use these people for anything tankless water heater related 4-5 visits and over 700 dollars later water heater still not fixed. Was told I needed a brand new unit because their was gas leaking. Upon further review and a call to the technical department (which my plumber never made himself) found out there was no gas leak and the problem could have been solved by a simple diagnostic...that was NEVER DONE. Was able to get the unit working again myself with guess what...no gas leak (read what you will into that) on the phone with the technical assistance department from the manufacturer (Noritz). Called to see if they would make it right and all the had to say was well you can feel free to use another service (as if I would have ever have them back at my house again) Thanks for nothing Abbott's Plumbing. Horrible company!

The best experience with a well trained plumbing company. I called a larger plumbing company first. After 1 1/2 hrs they couldn’t find the problem and said they would be back with a camera to look in the line. I called Abbott, they gave me a three hour window but said they would call before coming. They arrived 45 mins later. The Employee, Richard, was very knowledgeable and identified the problem very shortly after arriving. He gave me a quote up front and assured me he would not leave until my line was clear. He also had all the right equipment on his truck for the work. I will use Abbott for all my plumbing problems.

Minor hiccup on arrival time but over all pleased with service!

Short version: look for another plumber.

We called Abbott's to unclog a sewage backup we were having. Ben, the first plumber to come, was great. He gave us the cost of the work, laid down floor protection, and dealt with the unexpected extra work like a true professional. He was kind and gracious throughout.

Another plumber Jeremy arrived to perform the scope of the pipes (which they offered as a free service, so we said yes to try to find out what the deeper issue was). He did not knock or ring the doorbell when he arrived - so I just heard another voice downstairs and realized he was there. That was unprofessional, in my opinion, to come into someone's house without announcing himself.

Even though the scope was free, the recommendation Jeremy provided was not helpful at all. He couldn't accurately locate where our pipe ran, and gave information we later learned was very inaccurate. The only option he provided was a full sewer replacement.

I am glad we talked with other plumbers. Jeremy's recommendation would have cost us $10,644+ and two days, plus ripping up our basement and front sidewalk. In the end, all we needed was a high-pressure water cleanout. Which was performed in 4 hours and cost only 17% of what Abbott's estimated.

Because of this experience I would not trust Abbott's for any future plumbing evaluation. We think maybe they were just trying to sell us a sewer, rather than to truly understand the issue or offer alternative solutions.

Search around a find a good plumber for you! Don't take the first evaluation and estimate as your only option. Don't get taken advantage of just because you need help with plumbing and the situation may feel urgent. Trust your gut, and find someone who respects you, your home, and your time and resources.

We waited 2 weeks without flushing any TP down the drain and showering/doing laundry at friends' houses! Trust me, you can wait and find the best people to work with.

Other plumbers we found:
1. We ultimately worked with C.A.Taciak & Sons who I would absolutely work with again for any plumbing needs. They were fantastic, thorough, and very respectful.
2. Len the Plumber was quick to respond and would have been quick to schedule the work. They had a couple options and creative solutions, and were honest about what was worth our time and money.

Edit: Thank you for your response to my review, Abbott's Plumbing. There was no issue of roots in our pipes identified by either your plumbers or the other plumbers we talked with. The jetting option was needed to clear out the scaling (and a metal bolt and rubber gasket they found) that were constricting the pipes under our property. The issues of separation fall on the City-owned portion of the pipes - which your plumber could not accurately locate for us, and had us assuming the issue was on our property. Your plumber would have had us pay for something the City will ultimately be responsible for. And tear up our basement for something that needed cleaning, not replacing.

Eric came to my son's condo and took care of his problem in short order. He was super pleasant and very knowledgeable, so professional. Amy, in the office, was equally sweet and so very helpful. I will only use Abbott Plumbing after this experience.

Rich from Abbott's Plumbing came to the rescue with our plumbing emergency. We were given detailed information about the problems at hand and Rich was able to resolve the Issues in a timely manner.

Abbott's is my go to for plumbing needs. The entire staff is efficient and accurate. Emergency and Non emergency, they are always here when I need them. Communication is very clear, estimates are always on time and on point. The owner and management took the time to address my concerns on a prior job they had done on my home. They immediately came out to check the work.
My service today with Rich was five stars. I felt he went above and beyond. He took the time to explain the process and did the job completely and accurately. He was my hero today.

Update on 12/28/19 below (last line) -

I honestly thought with all the great reviews - I had nothing to worry about..

I got one guy to come and estimate the job, another two men to perform the job - so they'd never seen what needed to be done. No one offered to let me look or select the new fixtures now in my home (the guy who got here for the job forgot the correct faucet and had to leave to go get it). The first guy said the fixtures would work great in our bathroom, and they would match the look of the bathroom - no they don't. Now, after coming home from work, I have a huge hole in my linen closet, (after they said they might have to cut a hole in the kitchen ceiling and the onnous to fix it was on me - too far in to turn back) now the shower head does not fit over a hole that they didn't bother to cover, and to fix a shower and faucet leak was about $2400. Additionally, the shower head isn't stable to the wall and they cut through a 2X4 in my wall to get to piping. Had no idea this would happen! Also - I was quoted a few paid for a new shower head and they just put the old one back on. This was a rushed job and I want my $2000 back!
Update - they did come back and tighten the shower head, and I received follow up customer service (which was helpful) but we still overpaid for this job.

Update (12/28/19): After speaking with the owner (Tim) we were able to make this situation right as he refunded a portion of our money for this job. I have to give Tim (the owner) a great review for listening to our concerns and ultimately, correcting the issue by refunding a portion of our investment (from this plumbing job).

Jeremy was incredibly thorough with his inspection and detailed explanation of our options when we needed a new water heater. He was informative and patient, outlining the benefits of tankless water heaters for us. His work was excellent, and Abbott’s pricing was the best of 3 quotes. We will 100% be using Abbott’s again in the future.

Had a private underground gas line that needed to be replaced after a storm caused damage to it. Abbott was incredibly responsive, communicated clearly, got the work done in a timely matter, cleaned up afterwards, and handled all the inspections with no hassle at all. Appreciate their professionalism and competence. I had someone else install the line a few years ago and there was a world of difference between the two companies. If you want a job done well, definitely consider Abbott.

Abbott's did a great job of replacing my hot water heater. The service technicians Abe & Bruce were very professional & knowledgeable about the job at hand. I do not have any past experience with Abbott's doing any jobs for me, but based on this experience I would definitely use them again.

Had a toilet installed. I had removed the original toilet myself. New toilet was already in the bathroom ready for installation. Small powder room and one piece toilet.

Toilet flange needed to be bolted down and secured. Took 10 minutes to bolt down. Very easy. Kicking myself for not doing that myself. Could have saved myself some money.

One piece toilets I believe typically cost less to install than two piece toilets. Especially if all the guts are already in place/installed which my toilet was. It just needed to be put in place, leveled and secured.

One shim to correct toilet movement.

Total cost to install this toilet was $658. Job itself took about an hour and 1/2 with no major complications.

A part of me knows plumbing is expensive. Especially in this area. I agreed to the price because I'm not one to shop around and waste time. They do very good work and are extremely responsive. But I honestly feel $658 was too high. I think if the tech ran into complications of some sort I could understand. But the job was so straight forward and quick.

In all honesty. $200, or even $100 less I probably would have made Abbott's my go-to plumber.

The crew that came out and replaced my waterline leading to the house were very professional, personable and quick. They explained exactly what they were going to do and left me at ease that I knew the job was going to be a top notch product.

Abbott's is always my go to for plumbing concerns. Despite it being New Years Eve they made sure to send a plumber quickly to address my toilet that was leaking into my basement ceiling. Alex arrived and was friendly and professional. He assessed the situation, provided the quote and got right to work. Had a liitle extra work done at his recommendation. No more leaks and everything was left clean. Can't thank Alex or Abbott's enough for coming to our rescue on a Holiday!! Happy New Year Guys!!!

The Plumber/Mechanic (Ben) arrived on time and was very professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the Garbage Disposal. He also glued a fitting back together at no extra charge. There may be cheaper Plumbing Services but this was quality service and was worth the money.

The guys were professional and hard workers. I think I got a fair price, and don't feel like I was taken advantage of.

Abbott’s plumbing is amazing. They were contacted by my landlord at 4 pm on a Wednesday and my service appointment was 9 am the very next morning. The gentleman that came to my house was very kind and courteous. He assessed the problem quickly and had a game plan of how to fix it. I needed a new kitchen faucet with he had available in his work vehicle . It was a very nice Kohler upscale faucet with sprayer. I was pleasantly surprised. Once again, Abbott's came through. We had four separate plumbing projects that needed immediate attention. Kevin and Matt were able to expertly finish all four in just a few hours. Excellent service at a fair price.

The technician came out and did not know how to fix our leaking kitchen faucet. He called his office to ask for help and they told him to tell us to find another company to do the job. He left without returning the faucet in the state the he found it.
We call Stilwell Plumbing and their technician figured out what needed to be done in less than 30 minutes.
I suspect that because we didn’t want to go with Abbott’s initial $800 solution, they no longer wanted to help us.

Very disappointed in the service..the work done and the clean up. Left a mess everywhere ..will never use this company again.

Timing and scheduling was great-price for service was way overpriced. $400 for clearing a garbage disposal trap and possibly snaking drain-minimal water in the sink. Manager could offer me $30 off service after paying $49 to tell me my sink is clogged with just his eyes.

I had a pinhole leak in a copper pipe to an outdoor spigot. It partially flooded two rooms. Fortunately, there was a valve inside, just for that spigot. Abbott's was the first company I called. It wasn't an emergency and I thought it'd be a few days, but they were able to fix it the same day I called.

The customer service at the office was excellent. Jeremy and his assistant were very polite and professional. Jeremy offered three options to repair the leak and, afterwards, took the time to explain how to drain that pipe during winter. I really appreciate his attention to details and customer service.

5 stars for the customer service, quick response, and Jeremy's performance. 3 stars for the price. It was too high, but I was happy to get everything fixed, quickly.

Abbot's Plumbing did an excellent job with the install as a whole. I had some requested corrections after the first installation and they had someone out the next day who completely and quickly addressed my concerns.

Wildly overpriced. Charged $49 just to give me a $535 estimate for a simple valve replacement. Do your wallet a favor and watch a Youtube tutorial and fix it yourself.

Edit: With the help of a neighbor I fixed it in 5 minutes with $5 worth of parts in exactly the way I suggested to the Abbott's plumber who cost $49 just to come out.

Chuck is a very valuable employee and make your business look good. However the prices for this company is extremely high more than what we expected for the the type of repair.

In February 2018, I had a boiler installed in home by Abbott. Last Thursday, it stop working and someone came out Friday. I was told a part had to be replaced that wasn't under warranty. An additional $1100, to fix after only using for one year. Wasn't able to fix that day, so the whole weekend freezing in the house. Okay, so today, Monday, they came back, eventually fixed it. Called the office to ask about the additional charges because I've only had boiler for one season. Instead of calling me, he tells technician to tell me the part was not under warranty and I would still have to pay full amount. Had a lot of work done with Abbott doing the years, but I'm very disgusted and feel taken advantage of by the company.

Abbott’s was able to schedule service quickly. The plumber, Chuck found the leaks, explained what was going on and how it could be fixed. He fixed the leaks, cleaned up when he was done and was pleasant to work with. I appreciate the quality service provided.

Both toilets would not flush because of a blockage in the pipe. Jeff/John came out to the house and did an excellent job in identifying the problem and removing a large tree root from the drainage pipe. We select Abbotts based on the positive reviews we found and were very pleased with our decision. The plumber (Greg) arrived quickly and tackled a very difficult job quickly with skill and professionalism. The 80+ year old pipes in our basement almost entirely clogged. Greg made it look easy as he worked his way through various components of system and found the root cause of the issue. I really can't say enough about how well the work was done. If you're in need of the real deal, you should call Abbotts.

I barely wrote any reviews before. But I really want to recommend Abbott Plumbing to any one who wants the responsible and high quality service. We purchased an old house last year and ever since then we encountered a lot of plumbing issues. I have tried couple plumbing companies for either estimate or work. They are either hard to get a hold of or expensive.
Abbott Plumbing came to do the estimation on the same day on time ( the other plumbing companies promised to come at least four times and didn't show up, a big waste of our time) and gave us quite reasonable quote on water heater installation. They are not the cheapest but I would rather pay a decent fee for a decent service. Their manager Vince is always very patient and timely responds to my questions. Technician Chris and his assistant are very professional and really nice person. The water heater installation project in our house is quite complicated. They not only finished the job perfectly but also fixed the disposal leaking, boiler leaking and drain back flow all in one day. (I know I have so many plumbing issues!!!) On the second date, after I told them the water is not very hot and just warm over the phone, Chris and his assistant showed up almost in just 10 minutes. Not sure how he can make the trip so quickly. They spent the entire day to evaluation the water heater and check every details in the plumbing system in our house, and finally found out the reason cause the water being not hot is another old plumbing left behind issue. They successfully fixed the problem which is totally not their fault. And Vince even waived the charges for this entire day hard work. I just want to say I really appreciate their decent work and responsible customer service. And I will refer them to any one who need a plumber in our area!

Well repairs are not handled by just any plumber - and Abbott’s came highly recommended for getting well repairs done expertly. This was my second time using Abbott’s for my well - and both times the plumbers they sent were very knowledgeable and very polite. They clearly knew what they were doing. Tim the service manager was also very patient - this last time was a warranty repair and required his attention. For well work, look no further.

Last week a very old pipe in my very old house finally gave way and poured water out of the front of my house. I called Abbott’s who had someone out in less than 24 hours. While on site, I showed Ben another problem I was having with my sump pump. He took care of both in a few hours. Ben was very helpful and communicated issues well. Recommend both Abbott’s and Ben.

We had a leaking faucet with ancient plumbing and a nightmare setup from several homeowners prior that required far more effort than originally expected, but Chuck came through for us and was able to replace the components needed to stop the leak. They did a great job!

I had my main water line replaced, it flooded my entire basement as soon as it was turned on. The technician said he would follow up with a flooring contractor to replace/ repair my floor. I received a text asking how the floor was and stated it was curling at the joints. I never heard back since. The ruined floor was only 2 days old. I suspect the person who came out in their company vehicle was doing this on the side.

It is someone from your company. They were driving one of your service vans. To say is wasn't you is baseless. I stated they were driving a company vehicle in my original review.

Abbott's Plumbing did a great job replacing the leaking water pipe from the front yard and didn't have to dig up the driveway. They knew their trade very well.

The estimator was awesome in going the extra mile and asking our next door neighbor about the pipe issues and she knew a lot and I would have never thought to ask her.

A couple of issues that could have been prevented. When they dug up one of shrubs they could have put it back in place instead of throwing the shrub away. The lead plumber, when coming in and out of the house he never took his shoes off or put covers on his shoes. This resulted in getting the carpet professionally cleaned today.

I would have given a 5 star if the two items were prevented.

BG&E came out to replace my gas meter and found a 50 year old valve leaking...they shut off my gas and it was cold outside (and snowing!). I called Abbott and they were here within an hour - even faster than the time they promised! The plumber I got was VERY helpful, he not only fixed the leak, but he removed a bunch of old dead gas pipe (with several other 50 year old valves that would probably start leaking next week). I now have a simple gas line to my heater and stove without the messy old pipe tree someone installed years ago. Wow, I am happy! Nice job Abbot. I am warm again.

We found Abbott's by doing a search knowing we at minimum had tree roots backing up our sewer line (a problem we had 7 years ago when we first bought the home and were told by the home warranty company that the line would need to be replaced in the future). I called on a Friday afternoon and they had someone out Monday morning. Richard and Brandon spent no less than 3 hours diagnosing the problem, running a camera and whatever other equipment they needed to from out cleanout inside and outside the house. Rich knew I didn't want to hear the bad news about needing to replace the line and delivered the information kindly so that I wouldn't be more upset, but I also knew this was a possibility. The replacement was scheduled for the following day. The crew (led by Pat) was on time, professional, and efficient. They installed 50 feet of new line, replaced the old outside cleanout and added a second one near the house where the line exits. They were done in about 6 hours, and this includes bringing a back hoe into our yard with minimal disruption to our gate (they brought it in through the back of the yard where there is a chain fence and the yard backs to public space) or the yard. They even put down grass seed where they dug the trench in order to lay the new line. Should we have plumbing needs in the future they will definitely be our first call and top choice. You can't go wrong with these guys.

Excellent service the whole way through. I had an emergency situation with a clogged main sewer line and a house with 4 young boys in it. They were able to get me scheduled for the following day and did an amazing job! Rich and Hal get special shout outs for explaining everything and being courteous and good natured the whole way through while i peppered them with questions. Called Abbott’s for a spewing pipe; the plumber responded in less than an hour and quickly fixed the problem.

I referred Abbott’s Plumbing to a friend who owned a restaurant in Baltimore City who had a leak in the main water supply line buried under the sidewalk. Abbott’s plumbers and laborers hand dug a trench from the water meter located at the curb to the front of the building. They excavated through, under and around a labyrinth of old abandoned pipes, mystery pipes and armored conduits that carried power cables.As fate would have it, a nasty nor’easter rolled up the coast and the crew fought through a nasty wind driven cold rain for days as they excavated. The working conditions were simply terrible, but yet they persisted. After all, It was a restaurant and they wanted to get the business back online ASAP. I was very impressed with their effort, the workmen’s attitude and the completed work. That’s why I've always recommend Abbott’s Plumbing for over twenty five years now.

My drain was backed up. I contacted Abbotts Plumbing in the morning and had plumber that same day .The plumber explained everything he was going to do and quoted

The plumber who came out to inspect my sewer line was very nice and explained things very well as he was doing the inspection and even give me a video of the line inspection. Something the previous company didn't do.

First impressions started off very well; however, things did not go well with the initial appointment. I still had the company do the work and although the installation of my water heater was difficult Oleg ended up getting it installed and working.

I had a water pipe burst in my wall and the water was rushing into my finished basement. After getting the water turned off I contacted Abbott's Plumbing who said they could have someone at my house within the hour. This was during a time when Maryland was having record breaking cold weather so they and everyone I called were very busy. Abraham arrived within 20 minutes from my call and he was professional, very capable, knowledgeable, and kept everything extremely clean and explained everything to me. He made an absolute horrible time bearable and I'm very grateful for this outstanding service that was provided to me. I highly recommend this outstanding company!!

Crew was great and showed up on time and got the job done. The bulk of my negative experience is with the estimator. The estimator did not properly estimate that there was going to be a void of dirt on my hill and after his crew dug everything up, he called me after the job had started asking if I wanted to add an extra 800 dollars of dirt. They really gave me no choice.

The estimator had no issue promoting his secondary home improvement company based out of Pennsylvania to me. I’ve noticed on the Facebook page for a home improvement company there are several advertisements for “Zero Dig Trenchless Pipe Repair”. This makes me believe that the estimator has little knowledge of estimating dirt excavations and digging in the Baltimore Area.

When the crew arrived, they mentioned they had no problem re-installing the drywall that was removed, even though the estimator was trying to have me spend more money on his personal home repair company. The crew mentioned to me several times that they have never met estimator one even saying “I have no idea what (the estimator) looks like”.

I have nothing but good things to say about the crew of Abbott’s plumbing, because they have done a great job. But because of the estimator’s lack of professionalism with his choice of words, his poor communication with the crew that are actually doing the hard work, and self promoting his own business; I cannot recommend Abbott’s plumbing to anyone.

On 12/10/19, I had drain cleaning service done ($480.00) on my Kitchen drain that was backed up during Thanksgiving holiday. The plumber said the “free camera inspection” wasn’t possible due to the drain being too narrow. This was disappointing as I would have liked to see where and what the clog was in the line that he would be clearing. The plumber cleaned the pipe ($150 per ft) and the issue appeared to be resolved as the sink was draining properly. The plumber let me know that I shouldn’t have an issue for some time. He asked me to make sure to not dump cooking oil or fatty foods down the drain, and if I did to following it up with boiling water. I never put any type of cooking oil down the drain, so I thought I would be ok.
Two weeks later on 12/24/19, the same exact issue is back. I called Abbott’s plumbing to see if they warranty their work, as it had only been two weeks. I was told that drain backup is NOT covered and I would need to pay to have the plumber come out, even though it is the same issue! I didn’t put anything down the drain other than dishwater and I can’t afford to have the same work done only to have it possibly happen again. It is disappointing that Abbott doesn’t warranty the work done by their plumbers. I called another plumber (Scardina) that actually stands behind their work for 90 days, even drain cleaning. They’re going to use a camera to make sure it is an actual blockage in the pipe and what is causing it, so I know for sure. Very disappointed customer ☹

Great job done by Dan of Abbott's Plumbing! I did not know where the leaks were coming from after removal of a non-working dishwasher that was next to the washing machine. Dan figured it all out and presto! Job was done. Thank you so much. I am thinking of changing my water shutoff valve to a more convenient location and will get Abbott's Plumbing to do that job also.

I called Abbot's based on Kohler's local superstore website recommendation. Kevin came out a couple of hours later on this non-emergency call. Quick, pleasant, and professional service. Much above my expectations. Now I know whom to call next time.
My second call with Abbot brought Chuck to my need for a new toilet installed. The installation showed that the cutoff valve and indeed most of the cut off valves in this 30 yr old condo were frozen which led to other problems being identified. Chuck was great to work with--courteous, hard working, skilled and professional.

Chris at Abbott's did a magnificent job fine tuning our sump pump and improving what was already a terrific job from last year. That's 3 for 3 jobs in which my wife and I feel very grateful to know we can count on Abbott's. It was patently obvious in all cases that they do the job right. The idea is that why pay for it to be done again if you can't pay to have ti done right the first time. Plumbing is especially important in that much other expensive home damage can result if the job performed is less than perfect. THANK YOU, CHRIS and thanks again, Abbott's!

Abbott's recently performed an outstanding second job for us - sump pump replacement. This time, Phil was the technician and did a fantastic and thorough job. Since he had to work under the new conditions due to the coronavirus, he took special precautions to ensure our safely by wearing gloves, mask and shoe covers. Our sump pump was still functioning but old and needing replacement as a precaution before the heavy spring and summer rains arrived. If at all possible, DO NOT WAIT until businesses fully open up again. Abbott's, like many other businesses, will be overwhelmed with customers finally getting around to needed repairs. If at all possible - do it NOW while there is easy availability. The job Phil performed was outstanding and the price very reasonable. The new pump and fittings work far better, to say the least. BRAVO to Abbott's yet again and thanks so much.

JOB 1 -
Outstanding crew of plumber/craftsmen who keep you informed every step of the way. Ours was a big job that required major pipe replacement under a finished basement. Every effort was made to minimize any damage to the property. A well-thought-out plan was established prior to the work and completed with minimal disruption. Price was very reasonable considering the nature of the job. No one wants to have sewer line issues but if this should happen, at least there is a competent company that can fully tackle it with knowledge and professionalism without gouging. We went from sheer panic to gratitude within two days.

Chuck did an exceptional job. Not only was it a difficult water heater installation but he stayed determined to not leave me without water that evening. He is a very dedicated employee for great customer service and I will definitely recommend and use his services in the future. He also made my toilet useable again.

Plumber tells me he just got award for being top producer. Installed a 10 dollar float in toilet. Didn't adjust it. Had to have another plumber come to adjust. Was charged $333 for taking stuck shower head off and replacing float. Work time was approximately 15 minutes. When did plumbers start making more the neurosurgeons. Would not recommend.

Abbott's installed a whirlpool tub in our master bathroom. The installer and helper were really friendly and professional. They did a great job and cleaned up everything. Would highly recommend this company.

The crew was on time. Completed outside work, replacing an underground water line, in some difficult terrain on a hot day. Price seemed to be reasonable for the job at hand.

I asked for a plumber to come out and fix a clogged main sewage line with their $99 special. I ended up with a plumber who said my pipes were installed improperly and I would need to have my entire sewage line replaced to the tune of roughly $5k, handed me a bill for $50 and left. He did no work. I call another plumber who takes a glance at my pipes and tells me that I was just plain lied to. My pipes are just fine and look the same as every other townhouse in the area. I called Abbot's back, and they said a manager would be in touch. Never happened.

We wanted a new shower/bath combo. Chuck and his sidekick Matthew did an excellent job of installing it, including work arounds for various surprises in our 60-year old home. Chuck is quite knowledgeable, explains everything well. The whole experience was positive, and I'm definitely going to call Abbott's when anything else turns up in our plumbing systems.

Abbott's Plumbing serviced my home on August 19, 2022. The project involved replacing the liner to the water main leading into my home, as well as repairing the leaky water main valve inside of my home. This was a major process which required excavation of my front lawn and temporarily moving sections of my sidewalk to access the pipe. The work crew was so professional. They worked quickly to solve my plumbing issue and they positioned the sidewalk back in place without damage. The excavated dirt was cleared from my lawn and the bare patch was reseeded. The cost for this repair was very reasonable. Overall, I would rate the service as a ten out of ten. Abbott’s plumbing is a dishonest company. I had 3 toilets installed on the weekend sometime last year. Less than a year later, one of them is clogged. They are telling me it’s not an emergency and they cannot come out after 3pm when I’m home. Replacing old but working toilets is not an emergency but they gladly took my money and installed inferior quality toilets on the weekend. Now that I’m having trouble with it, they cannot come out when I’m home because a clogged toilet is not an emergency by their standards.

Rich at Abbott's plumbing went above and beyond to help me identify and find what we thought was a sewer gas smell in our house. Thanks to him (and Abbott's), we found the problem without any plumbing intervention! Abbott's is definitely on our list of preferred plumbers.

I live in a rural part of Anne Arundel County with well & septic. Abbott Plumbing installed a GRUNDFOS SCALA2 booster pump to maintain adequate water pressure in my home. GRUNDFOS is manufactured and located in Denmark. The original pump was installed in December 2018 and ran continually. Tim called the manufacturer and found my pump was defective and on recall. Abbott Plumbing ordered a new pump and Phil from Abbott reinstalled a new SCALA2 . The booster pump now works perfectly. No hassle, Abbott guarantees their work so no charge.

abbots was on the spot fast diagnosed it even quicker, and was able to do the work competently even under unusual circumstances. My driveway was 12 in thick and utilities were right on top of the water meter. The crew was fast professional and made minimal impact to complete the job. Even made an emergency appearance over the weekend when my water line was vandalized. I can't recommend Abbotts plumbing more.

I've been a customer of Abbott's Plumbing for at least 10 years, and I've been very happy with them. They're thorough, professional, and they have done excellent work on my home plumbing.

They came out on a sunday for an emergency call during a ravens game. Replaced my broken/leaking water heater within a few hours of calling them. Technican was very polite and professional. Would highly recommend them!.

Prompt service, and friendly capable plumber. He no doubt was doing his job in presenting options, but they were expensive total pvc drain replacements and unnecessary when all I needed or wanted was replacement of a steel under sink drain pipe that was corroded through - an option that I had to press for that was not initially offered. I don't blame him, I think this is an upselling technique that is offputting and I don't care for and is a corporate issue that needs to be addressed. I also explained to him that pvc cement was toxic to me and extremely toxic to a close friend and lingered for months, an issue that all plumbers should be aware of. He did go out to get the steel drain part, a common item that should be on the truck - he found one from another plumber who happened to be nearby, saving a trip to Hunt Valley.

I also had to test the drain function myself, something that should be routinely checked, before he left, and found it was slow. I had to call him back to address that. Again, a costly drain routing was his first option, a less expensive chemical treatment was offered only after I pressed again. Once again a corporate business practice issue that concerns me in terms of repeat business or recommending to others.

The experience was pleasant and the plumber was very professional. He arrived on time and cleaned up before he left. I was very pleased with the experience and will use them in the future.

The plumbing repair itself and the technician were fine. It took 45 minutes to replace a garbage disposal that I provided. However, the cost was $100 higher than I expected. So I feel ripped off. I was told that they work on a flat rate basis. Since I really wanted my disposal installed, I went ahead with it but will probably not use them again

I had a major issue where my sewer line needed immediate replacement. Abbott's was able to replace it the next day. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I took great comfort when a neighbor (a retired engineer) came over and said that This is a good company! Two things everyone needs - a good and trustworthy car mechanic and plumber. I already had the car mechanic covered, now I have the plumber.

I have been using Abbott's Plumbing for many years now. They are the only plumbing company I would ever use or recommend. They recently performed 3 jobs at my hose. They performed a basement bathroom rough in, complete with an ejector pump system. The work was difficult due to the location and lack of basement access, but the job was performed excellently, as well as efficiently. What was estimated to take 5 days to complete was finished in 3. When they were finished, the basement was even cleaner than when they arrived. Next I had a hot water heater fail. It failed on Sunday night, and at 8am on Monday morning, they were onsite and working. The Old water heater was removed, and the new installed by 3pm, and again the Basement was left spotless. Finally, we had a water line from the well to the house fail. Abbott's crew was at the house first thing in the morning, and had exposed the external line (it had to be dug by hand), replaced and sleeved it and back filled the excavation by 1pm. When they were finished the cleaned the sidewalk and mopped the hallway floor. Abbott's Plumbing is the best Plumbing company I have ever worked with, and would recommend them for any plumbing need.

Our service person Noah was friendly and efficient. The cost was lower than we anticipated and quicker than expected. My husband called this morning and they were here and done by 3:00. I will definitely use Abbott's again!

My plumber was prompt and courteous.

After having four different plumbers flake out on me, I literally did a Google search for plumber Owings Mills to see if I could find someone to come out today. We recently discovered that the hose in our backyard did not work but after our daughter got a slip and slide for her birthday, we realized we needed to get it repaired. I called Abbott's Plumbing this morning, they came out this afternoon, and while they could not repair the hose bib (it turns out the entire faucet has to be replaced, which is too expensive of a project for us to take on this summer), the gentleman who came out was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. I will definitely call them again the next time I have a plumbing problem and will be hiring them next spring/summer when we are ready to replace the backyard faucet!

My technician, Chuck was on time and very professional. He took great care, kept informed, and made sure that all of my personal items was covered, moved aside and protected from dust and debris from his work which included pressure reducer valve replacement, hot water tank work, and replacement of secondary drain pipe. It seemed like a lot of work but he made it look like a piece of cake. All in all, Chuck knew what he was doing and I would highly recommend him and Abbott

Was quoted 1400.00 for a new hot water heater with BGE . Customer service sucked and outrageously priced. Called Abbott's found on Angie's List. They beat their price by 500.00! The also came out next day promptly and had it replaced by noon. I appreciate excellent customer service and recommend them highly. Will be using them again for sure. Thank you so much!

The did get here fast. Once I got the bill $650 for a $20 valve. I understand why they are in a hurry. Very expensive.

I am so glad that I called Abbott's Plumbing. The plumber explained what he would do to fix the problem and how much it would cost. I will call Abbott's Plumbing from now on.

Responded quickly, came that day and were very nice and helpful. Cleaned hot water heater burner and it wasn't the heater. There is a clog in the flue, suggested chimney sweep. Charged exactly what was quoted and had new one on the truck in case it was needed. Will recommend and use again.

One of their plumbers turned off the gas to our condo complex. When asked what was going on he said I thought I was turning off the water.

In either case there would have been hundreds of people without service and without notice.

Also, what plumber doesn't know the difference between a water line and a gas line?

Now BGE emergency service trucks are here as well so I doubt whatever he did was a quick fix.

Edit: 7 hours later and still no gas.

Edit: it is now the next morning at 7:15, still no gas in the buildings and no one here working to fix it.

Awesome service! Tech was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I am giving 2 stars because the company should revisit their pricing. Site says leaks and issues can occur at any point 24/7. I had the unfortunate situation of an issue on a Saturday which came with an additional charge of $349 just for visit. Approximately 15 minutes of work came with a price tag of over $600. How does that make sense and for a repeat customer? Like I said quality of work was great but that bill doesn't make sense.

Rich came out to locate a sewer pipe. In the process he also found and removed a blockage in the pipe. Great service at a fair price.

The crew that replaced our sewer line was knowledgeable, efficient, neat, and respectful. Several of our neighbors had very recently had similar work performed by other contractors and continue to have issues. They are in disbelief at how smoothly our job went.
