My review is in regards to the technician that performed the work only. Darryl is very professional and very knowledgeable in his craft. He showed up on time and was very communicative with what needed to get fixed and why. Moving forward I will request to have him as my technician on every plumbing job.

Great experience today with Walter from Michael & Son. Arrived early, quickly found the issue with our sump and provided a confident assessment of our status and repair/replace options. We elected to replace and Walter installed and tested the new pump and provided a thorough explanation of its function.

Bruce Walker at Michael and Sons gave us excellent, fast service after multiple companies put us through hoops to replace a leaking, broken water heater. From the estimate onward, Bruce was very professional, friendly and warm. He was able to install the water heater the same day! He carried the 280lb water tank up and down a narrow carpeted stairwell with ease and installed the unit alone. He offered to come over if we ever had any questions or concerns with the heater. He also gave recommendations for plumbing updates that the house needs. We’re very pleased and will recommend Michael and Sons to our family and friends!

Antonio was as professional as you can be. He explained every aspect of his cleaning, showed us before and after pics. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Josh Scheper replaced our water heater (after I first tried another company who ended up a no-call, no-show) and was super friendly and communicative. He did a great job!

Josh was great in locating the leak that was leaving a water mark in our ceiling, he came to my house at the promised time and was very helpful. The only thing I did not like is that they left a hole in my ceiling and did nothing to fix it. I guess, he is a plumber so can't fix that but still their handy man services dept should have given me a call.

Jesse was very knowledgable and professional. I had my wife and 2 sons, one being 6 months, in a house with no heat. He realized the emergency and quickly came out to fix our gas leak. Because of him, we were able to get the heat back on without much fuss.

This is the second time I have used Michael and Son’s and both time I have been very satisfied. I watch the whole process of a shower repair and a hot water heater installation and I am pleased with the technician’s eye for small detail. He was definitely a good guy and very friendly. I’m sure I could have saved money somewhere else but I feel I got a top notch job! 10 year warranty parts and labor on my heater. Micheal’s is now my only plumber.

The plumber Mike arrived on time, evaluated the problem and generated estimates in a very timely fashion. After receiving approval permission to proceed, he procured all parts, pipe, supplies, etc. and began the tear out and replacement of my drain stack in the basement, including installation of a new service tub.He cleaned the area, removed all excess pipe, etc.During the entire process he pleasantly explained all applicable information'Kudos to Mike

Technician was prompt and knew exactly what to do. Wasted no time fare estimation tools and apparently a really good CRM system that keeps their customers really informed of what’s going on. The only thing I would say that is a Negative is the fact that he use electrical tape to hold the clear PVC tube that had to run into the sump pump but at the end of the day it’s my basement. I’m not really hanging out there.

Service person arrived within 45 minutes of the time I called. I had received an email with a picture of the tech. It took the service person about 2 hours to diagnose and repair the problem. Couldn't have been much faster. He cleaned up before he left. Quicker and easier than it takes to make an appointment with most places. And he was very pleasant. Thanks to Sherman.

The tech was very knowledgeable. He was very respectful when he came in my home he covered up his feet. He made sure that he was clean. I really appreciate doing business with him based on my experience with the tech that came to my house I would refer this company to anyone he did a great job. I also scheduled an appointment with him to do further work on March 6.

The technician Mr.Sherman was extremely professional,on time and provided excellent service.He actually dug a 15 foot trench to find the drain pipe and to unclog it!! He then gave me and my wife advice on how to keep it from reclogging and what materialswe'll need,truly incredible service 👏🏾

Josh arrived to my home on time. He was polite and cordial. He observed the damage area of my home where an unseen pipe had burst in the walls. He strategically cut open the damage area, zeroing in on the ruptured pipe. He then replaced it and further shared next best steps to working with my adjuster. $69 was what I was quoted but the price increased to $535 in no time. Not too happy with the expense but am certainly grateful for running water after three days.

Great service. Pin pointed the electrical problem, installed a whole house surge protector and called BGE to correct the problem outside. Explained everything in layman's terms, total professional. Thank you.

Adam from Michael & Son Services came to our house today to do plumbing work. He was excellent, and got the work done in a timely manner. He was very helpful and explained everything very well, and was so helpful. The prices were reasonable and we are very happy with the work we had done.

Charlie Hilker was dispatched to my home to fix my faucet issue. Was on time, courteous, and very friendly. I showed him the issue and he quickly understood the assignment.He explained the process and the issue in depth before securing my ok to begin work. He was mindful of surroundings and repaired the issue. I was very happy with the work he did. As we wrapped up the transaction, I told him that I would gladly pay a premium for excellent customer service, and Charlie provided that and more!

Anthony was awesome. I was working between the barn and being in the house and he explained everything to Me. I signed up for monthly maintenance so I won't have anymore a.c issues

The entire job wasn’t complete. I asked to change the light fixture but they didn’t look at that. They left without talking about anything. Had to go out to his truck to ask how much. Didn’t leave a bill or anything.

We have been trying to get a bad wire replaced in unit thermastat installed by them, for over a week now. The first guy came out and pulled the wire. The next came and put the new wire in. Now tomorrow they are sending the HVAC guys to hook it up. This is so unacceptable. I should not have to go through all of these people to get one simple job done!

First time using it he company. I had josh come out, very friendly, knowledgeable, and cared about my issue, along with some others down the line! I would use Michael and son again

Antonio was excellent. He handled the situation while we were having an emergency with my mother who has cancer. Even my cat loved him.

The Technician was very curtious and extremely knowledgeable as an Electrician. Which tells me that he is good at his job. This was my first time hiring Michael & Son (M&S), and I must say I was totally impressed with the service and I will recommend M&S to my friends, associates and family members in the future.

Michael was friendly and efficient; arrived earlier than expected and unclogged my kitchen sink. Then he also checked the main pipe in the basement to make sure the rest of my pipes were running smoothly.

Sherman was wonderful! We had an issue with plumbing in our home and Micheal and sons was here within 48 hours. They showed up in the early portion of the window that was promised and fixed the issue right then and there. Hopefully we don’t need to call them in the future, but if there’s ever another issue we will gladly call them back!

Darryl arrived as on time as scheduled and was customer focused from the start. Everything that I was concerned with was explained and addressed however, I must admit that I never would have thought to receive a learning experience that I feel will help me navigate any concerns in the future.

Had a suprise water leak today. After calling a few other company's, i stumbled onto Michel and son's and man am i glad i did! Lady on phone was great and got someone here withen a few short hours. When the plumber, JUAN showed up, he was professional, kind amd accommodating. He diagnosed and properly fix my issue withen an hour or so. I am glad i called them and will use them in the future

Called Micheal and Sons last night for a leak. They were actually early to the appointment. Adam was very professional and did not leave until the job was done. Which ended up being a little more than we thought. Would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Michael Brubach with Michael & Son did an exceptional job on installing a split valve repair for our kitchen faucet. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. He shared all the information in a thorough manner. We will be purchasing a service contract with Michael & Son. This company is lucky to have someone of his caliber working for them.

I had trouble with the installation of a thermostat and ultimately couldn’t use the AC because of it. Connor from Michael & Sons was extremely thorough and fixed the unit and helped with the installation. Not only was he was he very good at his job but he was friendly throughout the process. I highly recommend using Michael & Sons and plan to use them in the future.

Only thing I need done is an O Ring and/or washer replacement. Tech said he doesnt work on old things and wanted to charge me over $1400 for new fixtures. Way over priced!

We called them due to an emergency no heating situation. They could not get anyone out same day, bummer, but understandable. This Saturday. We scheduled for Monday 330-6 window which would have caused me to leave work early. Luckily, we were able to find another company who came out Sunday. I called to cancel, but did not get an answer. They called at 530 to tell me no one is coming! Thank goodness I went with another company or we would have gone without heat for 3 days waiting on Michael and Son! How do you schedule an appointment for 2 days away and wait last min to say no one is coming! I will never call them again

Brfinio was amazing, knowledgeable, patient and he listened to me. As a women it is sometimes a challenge to explain the terminology of what’s happening but he listened and executed the repair with me feeling confident.

Michael and Son did a great job replacing some switches and outlets as I prepared my home for sale. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is the price. 1 hour of work cost me $1700. But, they did do a great job, we’re friendly, and even warrantied their work. It’s just SO expensive.

Don’t use Michael and Sons. Don’t. Save yourself the headache. I have no idea how they have such good reviews. They have poor organization, communication, and lack professionalism. Work was left unfinished in my house that took a whole year to be resolved. (They left a meter dangling precariously from our electrical box). I tried to get another company to fix it because it took so long for M&S to get back to us. Unfortunately M&S held the contract so no other company would come near it. They left us in a hazardous situation and did nothing about it. They forget about you and they don’t care once they get your $$$. STAY AWAY!!!! If I could give negative stars I would.

Our tech, Adam, was on time, communicating appropriately in advance. He was knowledgable and patient helping with the selection of a replacement faucet and associated hardware for a bathroom sink. Work was done promptly and professionally.

I called Micheal and Sons because I had heard of them from advertising, but I chose them because of their excellent customer service. When I first called to explain my heating concerns, I was impressed with the education and assistance I received. The technician who came out was friendly, professional, informational, and took all of the necessary precautions in terms of the current pandemic. I would definitely called Micheal and Sons again if the need arose.

The most feared event for any homeowner…leaking hot water tank. Darryl B. Showed up during the scheduled time slot and went right to work on removing and replacing a 75 gallon power vent gas fueled hot water heater. Make no mistake, this is a big task which was not made easy by the 1/2 inch clearances left by the builder to get the old tank out and a new tank in. Darryl was deliberate and thoughtful at every step….planning ensured everything thing looked as nothing had ever happened by the time he completed this complex job. Professional and knowledgeable, he instilled confidence from the moment he arrived until final testing of the newly installed water heater. I feel very lucky that he was assigned this job and will be requesting him “by name” for any future services. M&S is fortunate to have found someone with extensive experience and expertise.

From Marvin, the sales rep to the 4 person team of installers, everyone were professional, responsive, and communicated very well with each step. They arrived exactly on time as planned. The entire job took less than five hours. Exceeded my expectations.

Adam White is an Excellent technician. Was hard working, very patient and explain everything thoroughly. Also very professional in detailed.

Let me say this, the tech came in and got right to work. He wore his mask, shoe covering and explained the entire process to me. I always use Michael and Sons for important work. They are the cheapest but they get the work done.

Excellent , prompt , very good priced repair at our home in Ellicott City. Our plumber was very knowledgeable and explained in easy to understand detail of the issue that he fixed. I would most definately recommend Michael and Sons plumbing and I will be calling them for all my plumbing and heating/ac issues in the future. Job well done !

I called Michael and Sons out for a potential sump pump/hydro ejector issue. We noticed that our toilet and sinks were bubbling when in use indicating an issue, we wanted to get service before our basement flooded. They responded promptly and comminuted every step of the way. Michael and sons were able to diagnose and complete the repair within a few hours at a reasonable price. Everyone I dealt with with friendly and professional. My only complaint is that, sewage did not overflow onto my floor until the diagnostic process. While conducting the diagnostics sewage began to overflow onto my floor. it was unfortunate, but the tech called the restoration/clean up team out as soon as that happened so I let it go. The restoration/clean up person arrived as the repair was being completed. After I signed the paper work, the restoration person began to walk out with the tech. I asked if the clean up was complete or when to expect someone to conduct the cleanup, he stated that they have a $1500 minimum and suggested I clean up the sewage myself. I would've had no problem doing so if the sewage were there before they came out to conduct the service but that was not the case. Their technician caused the sewage to overflow, therefore they should've cleaned up after themselves. I'm a facility manager by trade and prior to that I was a service and operations manager for a commercial HVAC/R & plumbing company, making your customer clean up a mess you made is unheard of.

Great, prompt service, even on a Super Bowl Sunday! Had a plugged main line, Michael & Sons helped take care of the mess and opened the line back up. Will use again!

I needed a new backup sump pump. They arrived early (not a problem) and found me one w/o a battery, saving me >$1000.

The plumbing technician was courteous and responded to our needs in a timely/ efficient manner. Additionally, his work was impeccable. I was rather disconcerted after an electrician installed an outlet under my sink and roughly handled the garbage disposal; breaking the seal and subsequently causing a leak. The plumber arrived promptly and with a smile on his face from start to finish. He is surely an exemplary employee and I am very grateful for his services.

I called Michael and Sons after a simple plumbing home repair went terribly wrong. The house was without water and I had a viewing, funeral, and work trip between today and tomorrow, so I was totally panicked. The lady who answered when I called was so incredibly kind and friendly. She was able to get me an appointment today with a window that was only an hour away. The technician was there within an hour and was really nice. He laid out what he would need to do and within an hour the whole issue was corrected, the house had water, and we were able to head to the viewing on time. I thought the price was very fair, and to have the disaster completely corrected within two hours of me calling was well-worth it. I highly, highly recommend Michael and Sons, and I'll definitely use them any time I have a plumbing issue in the future.

I filed a formal complaint against Michael and Son Services’ License Owner Basim Mansour.This company is crooked and hires inexperienced technicians.In June of 2022, our air conditioning unit went out and since our HVAC unit was old, we had the entire system replaced. The price was good $10k and the installation quick.However, things have quickly spiraled out of control and went downhill since.In October of 2022, we called to report that our heat wasn’t working. Travis Dean with the Baltimore branch came out and “attempted” to fix my boiler, which he himself ADMITTED that he HAD NO EXPERIENCE WITH. He ends up damaging it beyond repair after numerous visits.The heating situation was a nightmare and never resolved, which led to me filing a formal complaint, we had to pay another contractor to install a tank water heater, redo our plumbing, because of Travis Dean playing around with something he had no experience with.They have had SEVERAL formal complaints filed against them with the MD Board of HVAC within the past 4 years.Ok we get our heating fixed. Fast forward to this summer, our air conditioner goes up in July. We call and can’t get an appointment for 2 weeks out. Since then, we’ve had 4 technician visits.We stopped running our air conditioner because we knew it wasn’t working.The first technician told us to start running it again and if the compressor blows, they’ll just have to replace the whole thing, it’s covered under warranty. Apparently, there’s notes in their system to which the technician alluded to, (I assume these notes were related to our heating issues and the blow up that happened through email exchange) and really seemed to feel for our unfortunate situation.The last and more senior technician quoted my partner $3,000 for LABOR to install some part that would fix it and in addition I believe it was to replace the compressor.The compressor which blew out BECAUSE THE FIRST TECHNICIAN TOLD US TO RUN IT OUT TO BREAK IT…like seriously what the heck is going on with the mixed messages?!Well guess what? Now they’ve gone silent on me. I was first contacted by a Mr. George “Sam” Hammack, the newest service manager at the Baltimore branch. So new that he’s only been with the company for 3 months!!So Sam has since been ignoring my emails since I’ve asked him to give me a call, as he is THE MANAGER!!! I am so tired of this company not taking responsibility for the information that their techs just spew out.It’s ridiculous.In summary, I’d never use this company ever again. If litigation wasn’t so timely, I’d sue, but I need air conditioning NOW.This company is crooked from the top to the bottom.Travis Dean - Baltimore employee/manager who tampered with and destroyed my tankless water heater - this cost me an additional couple of thousand dollars to fix because we had to have piping done and a tank water heater installed.Michael and Son refused to help us.Leon Lamont - Baltimore office general manager, also stood by his employee Travis Dean, and did nothing to help the situation.Maurice Noori - Customer Service Manager with Michael and Son. He is EXTREMELY RUDE through emails and to the point where it traumatized me and gave me extreme anxiety interacting with him. He is only polite through Better Business Bureau complaints (it’s public record). When we were dealing with our heating issues, I had my partner step in and start communicating with him regarding the issue, because I felt like he was just condescending to me because I’m a woman. Terrible! I emailed Mr. Mansour (owner) to tell him that any further communication from Mr. Maurice Noori would be considered harassment! This man (Noori) has such a nasty disposition and his boss could give a hoot!And at the VERY VERY TOP - Basim Mansour, owner of the company, Michael’s son I believe. Mr. Mansour surely reaps the benefits of the numbers this company does, but unfortunately he’s not involved in day to day operations per Mr. Noori, so he also does not respond to emails.

The technician,Juan Argueta, was very polite and nice explained everything to me perfectly he installed a new water heater, he put a New shut off valve in ,2023 I would like him to come back and put a new sub pump and I’ve already talked to him about this,He cleaned up all of his mess , I recommend him to anybody that calls Michael and sons thank you so much you did an excellent job!!

Mr. John provided great service from start to finish. He was very thorough and explained everything that was wrong with my hot water heater along with the best course of action to take. Most importantly, I appreciate the fact that he delivered on everything he said he would do. I normally would go with Len the Plumber or my local handyman, but I'm glad I tried Michael and Son

This was a return service to correct initial work done which did not pass County Inspection. Technicians are very professional and respectful. Hopefully our inspection will now pass inspection with repairs made today.

I am very disappointed with the level of service provided by Michael & Sons. I had a water heater installed with the old one being removed. I had a discussion with the technician about the procedure in full detail. We agreed upon the contract and how the work was to be completed. To my surprise the technician (Mike) did not empty the water heater. He proceeded to pull the partially full water heater up the steps, damaging each step along the way. We put in a claim the same afternoon the work was performed. It took five phone calls to reach the claims department, an individual named Maurice. We set a date for the inspection of said damaged property, and no one showed up or called. I put the floors in a little less than a year ago for $5000, and now I have to spend additional monies to get the steps repaired. Point blank the level of service is poor, customer service is less than adequate, and professionalism is missing altogether.Josey

I only got a faucet repair estimate and they will come to install the shower and replace the shut off value will the renovation is being done.I also had the furnace inspected. Both technicians were very professional and kind and understanding to my needs.

Sherman was amazing and professional. He was honest about what I needed and didn’t need and was good at counseling me on what next steps were. Michael and sons customer service was difficult to get a hold of on the phone and definitely on the expensive side but the plumber — Sherman — was fantastic!

Friendly service, but they charged me $469 to install a $40 light from Amazon — and that included a $50 discount. I’m no expert when it comes to electricians (which is why I called one), but that seems a little steep for me. I probably won't use this particular company again for that reason.

we had a plumbing issue, called for service and a technician was dispatched on Saturday evening. There were some communication issues and we were not told that the service charge was not refundable. The technician walked in the house, spoke to us for five minutes and left. On the phone when scheduling, we verified with the customer service rep Bree, that snaking and camera services would be available and she said yes, we then asked how much they started at and she said she didn’t know and the technician would let us know. When the technician got to our house he said he had neither, and that snaking would be $1030 not even 30’ of line and the toilet was already pulled. We feel as though he tried to price gouge us for snaking since most of the work we did ourselves. We got on the phone with Bree again and took issue with Tech being there 5 mins and still charging us. We (4 person family ) and the technician got the the phone with Bree and the tech asked her if she told us the service call fee was non refundable, her answer was No. This phone call took place on my daughters phone and they record all their calls. The the Tech called his boss, told him the same thing we just went through and very rudely (he was on speaker) “You will get paid and I will deal with the customer later.” We are still waiting on the call back from 1/25 and so we called back today to follow up. The store from the new customer service rep was that they never return service call fees and kept talking over myself and my daughter. My son in law works for WSSC and recommends no one use this company, and please try for a small mom and pop business. We are at a loss waiting for a call back from the management dept. and have had to dispute the charges on my credit card since they decided to charge me anyway instead of calling me back and speaking with me.

John the plumber that serviced my home was prompt, professional and had exceptional knowledge of my problem. He fixed the large cracked sewer pipe in the wall, changed all the piping under my kitchen sink all within 4 hours at the most! He Cleaned all the debris, and left the valuable cast iron pipe in a neat pile for me to recycle. His statement fix it right the first time is something I totally appreciate. They were a bit more expensive than 2 others I priced, but the confidence I feel after watching John work makes it worth it, I have no doubt that the job was done right. I will definitely use Micheal and Sons again, Thank you John!

This is the second time I have used this company. They are reliable and trustworthy. I tried two other companies with service contracts and was never able to obtain service or a refund. Michael and Son rocks. On time &fair prices.

I had them come out twice within two days for two different things. They were responsive and communicated well when booking and getting to my home. I’m not a fan of the dispatch price, especially for the first guy, who charged $89 to put a piece of tape in the HVAC pipe. I ended up getting their gold plan so that I would have to pay $89 for the take. The second guy was way more informative and deserves a 5/5. His name was Adam White. He did great. It’s not the worker’s fault that the policy is that way to charge for so Pat h (they also tell you ahead of time). I’d only go with them again if I KNOW to fix could be huge, otherwise I’d rather use thumbtack to search for repair people. Overall, not a bad experience, just expensive.

This company of Michael & Son, especially the ones who helped with replacing the water heater, Ted helping with making appointment and Porfirio for installing it. Magnificent job indeed when I had so many questions. Would recommend those two for plumbing needs in Baltimore area.

We are waiting for Michael and Son Services to return for restoration work so I don't want to be too eager until all of the work is done. But I have to say right now that our technician today, Mr Joshua Scheper, was a delight. He is talented, informative, engaging and very meticulous which is much appreciated. The company hasn't fully satisfied our needs but Josh has definitely eased this process. He's helped us regain faith in the company. Here's hoping there are more techs like Josh.

I now understand why the company refuses to give estimates over the phone. It is so that somebody will come to your home to give you a hard sell. $13,000 to replace an electrical panel. $1000 to fix a light switch. I sent the little man on his way.

I was told on the phone that there would be a $70 diagnostic fee that would be waived if repairs were agreed on. The technician got here...he saw the baseboard heater in question, and proceeded to explain my costs for service. He said the $70 was just to cover the travel costs and that it would be $254 to even diagnose the issue on a unit that costs less than $100!! I feel like I was mislead on that phone call. Totally disappointed and the room is still cold!

Technician was professional and provided a fair assessment of my systems while completing the beginning of the year maintenance.

The technician arrived early and was extremely courteous and professional. His inspection of my AC units was thorough, and he explained everything fully.

I won't go into detail because this review will be too long...I just googled plumber near me and this was the first hit. We were desperate for a plumber so no time to research. The other company strung us along for five days... Due to issues we couldn't shower or do laundry till plumbing issues were fixed. Michael and Sons had someone out within a couple hours! The technician, Michael (not original Michael and Sons Michael) was AMAZING! He was friendly, efficient and knew exactly how to fix the problems (terrible leak and front spicket that didn't work). Also, he didn't forget any tools! I couldn't believe how quickly he fixed the issues! He was very sweet and polite, AND the price was def less than we expected! So I highly recommend this company!!!

I've been a homeowner for 5 years and this is the first time I've ever had to call a plumber. After trying to replace a shower mixing valve myself and having a leak occur, I frantically called multiple companies. Michael & Son could get to me the same day, so I booked them. The technician, Michael, came earlier than expected and did a fantastic job. The price was very reasonable and much better than I had feared it would be. I'm very impressed and will keep this company on speed dial for any future emergencies!

The tech Omar was so polite and kind and loved my dog. He made sure to put booties over his shoes when he came inside. He did his job very well.

I had a very good experience with Michael and Son! My main reason for service was that some showers didn't have hot water or water pressure when turned to hot and last night no hot water at all in my house. The technician they sent out was very knowledgeable and talked me through what was needed to be fixed with my hot water heater and my shower. He also showed me other areas of concern and answered all my questions. I really appreciated that! So other than the initial mixup with my address everything was good.

We had a bit of a catastrophe with a broken pipe that caused our entire basement to be flooded (including an apartment occupied by tenants). We’ve had to pretty much gut it and it’s an understatement that it’s been a stressful couple of days. BUT… the service we received from Michael & Son was a bright spot in the midst of a lot of chaos! They were able to come next day and replace the damaged hot water heater without any worry on our part. Our technician, Porfirio, was exceptional… he was courteous, professional, efficient and very communicative. He did a great job explaining what he did, what we needed to know about the new system, made suggestions to better protect ourselves in the future, and made sure we’d have everything we need to submit to insurance. We were extremely pleased with the service we received from Porfirio and Michael & Son and are so grateful for their part in relieving some of the stress!

They did a very nice job replacing our heat pump. Technicians were quick, responsive, and professional. The new system is working great. Only knock is they left behind a some scrap tin, screws, pipe, insulation that we had to clean up afterwards

Replacing a thirty-year-old kitchen faucet had its challenges but Bruce handled it well. So well, in fact, that we asked him to take a look at our thirty-year-old water heater which he will be replacing tomorrow.Customer satisfaction leads to return business and good reviews. Bruce gets both. :)Thursday: the new water heater is installed and looking good. Once again Bruce was wonderful though I think I may be at capacity for politeness. :)While doing the installation, Bruce pointed out that the electrical socket for the washing machine (where he went to plug in a tool) was looking like it had burn marks. Now that we have the possibility of water damage minimized, we don't want the house to catch fire. Bruce helped schedule an appointment with Micah on Monday. We look forward to Micah being as exceptional as Bruce.08/04/2021 - Service from Sherman. It was a very small job but one that we could not do on our own. Sherman was on time and handled the bathroom faucet repair quickly and easily. Still recommending Michael & Son.

The plumber who came to our house (Ro) was very efficient and professional. He was friendly and courteous and explained every step to us before providing the estimate. Aside from the new plumbing fixtures that he installed in three bathrooms, there was no evidence that he had even been there. Michael & Sons and Ro get a 5 star rating from us. We will definitely be using them in the future for other planned projects.

The dispatcher and technician were extremely responsive, friendly and professional. Even if I could’ve fixed the job myself in seven hours with lots of headaches and trips to the Ace Hardware, it was absolutely worth paying a professional group to get the job done right.

Disappointing. Unknowledgable. Either the technician lied to me when he said that he checked the furnace filter or he’s not very bright when he sees an extremely filthy, dust-caked filter and tells me that it looks in good shape. Either way is unacceptable. I described a problem to him and he was clueless. He contacted his boss to ask him, and the boss made up an illogical answer that the tech tried to pass off to me. The technician repeatedly tried to sell me their most expensive maintenance contract for “only” $389, even after I kept telling him that my HVAC system was only 6 years old and that it wouldn’t be a good idea. I won’t be contacting them again.

My air condition started leaking pretty bad.. I called and they got out here two days later. They told me the price which wasn’t bad at all and got to work and I paid after he gave me an explanation of what he did to fix it and how to prevent it from happening again. Customer service was great and he was very informative. I loved my experience with this company and do recommend!

Everyone at Michael & Son has been great to deal with. Unfortunately, they can’t seem to keep our heat on. Spent $8k on a new furnace a month ago and it’s given out three times now. The first two times it was fixed promptly, but this most recent time it required a part to be ordered. It’s been almost two weeks with no word, and no one seems to know the order status. Two weeks with no heat in winter, and there seems to be little urgency on their part. I wish I could report these nice folks were doing a better job supporting their product.

Daryl was great. He came out and replaced our water heater because our ancient hot water heater gave up the ghost and died unexpected to us. We now have hot water again.

My heating and air conditioning was serviced by Michael & Sons and I was very happy with their prompt service! They called saying that the technician could come earlier if I was available, which I was, and he called 25 minutes out. He was polite and serviced my HVAC in a timely manner. My filter was extremely dirty, and I DO change it often....but he gave me another one until I could purchase another. He asked me several times if I had any questions, which I did and he was able to give me several options. I am very satisfied with Michael & Sons and would recommend them highly.

Ed gave a thirty minute precall, which was appreciated. He diagnosed the issue, provided an estimate, and made the repairs - all within twenty minutes of his arrival. Price was fair. Ed, the technician, was very professional, courteous and took the time to explain our options. Would definitely recommend this place and I will call them first with my next issue.

From setting up appt to follow-up calls on arrival, it was excellent. My technician was Bahram Atarod. He was very personable and did an excellent job with the main shut-off valves as well as one bathroom shut off valves. He was on time, left everything very clean, he was informative. I would definitely recommend Michael & Sons and a plus if you get Bahram. They got my future business.

Nicky is an amazing professional. As a newer homeowner, it is really important t me to learn about home repairs and terminology. Nicky not only allowed me to observe what he was doing, but he also explained each step thoroughly and answered my many questions with patience and kindness.As for the company as a whole, the receptionist was kind, and it is true that you can call at all hours and have someone pick up. She arranged for someone to come out the next day. In addition to the time range she gave, the company has the workers call when they are on their way in order to narrow down the timeframe for the home owner. Nicky was there within 5 minutes of the beginning of the time frame, allowing us plenty of time to get along with our daily tasks.

Daryl was on time, courteous, and gave us an estimate after a thorough exam of our water heater. He gave us a couple of options for repair, and didn’t pressure us into a decision when we were only prepared for an estimate today. 10/10 would request him to come back and do the job.

Josh was very patient, respectful, safety first, very family oriented, and made me feel comfortable having him fixing our backyard water hose and recommendations from the inspection.

Not impressed (but they did refund me the full cost of my service after this review, which I appreciate). The first HVAC team to arrive did not come prepared with the length ladder that I explicitly told them they would need, and proceeded to misdiagnose the problem without ever actually inspecting my unit. The follow-up appointment was cancelled last minute by them because of running over at another job. The techs who did come were very nice but professed to have zero experience with my type of unit. His opinion was that the unit needed to be retired and replaced which could cost me up to $8k. At least they didn’t charge me for the second visit. Thank goodness I got a second opinion, because the other company I had come out (Hughes Mechanical) found two problems that were not detected by Michael & Sons and had it all fixed up in under 2 hrs for under $400. Now my system is working great again. I will not call Michael & Sons again for any future needs.

Originally we had a wonderful experience with our first technician Sherman Pinnock for our plumbing issue. Then couple days later a gentlemen named Douglas Pope came as our camera guy. Overall he was extremely rude and nasty with us from the start. I understand we are human and we can have bad days however that is unacceptable when you are performing your job. Especially with a company that has such high ratings…Edit: We do not need a gift card. Please provide us the repair estimate needed for our shop & include the video taken by your tech, thank you. County advised us 50FT+ is still within our property line…

Had a major pipe leak on weekend. Response time was quick and repair was done well

I had the worst experience working with Michael & Son last year. 7 visits over 3 weeks, two plumbers and an electrician, and more than $600+ spent and still no fix. I was left without hot water while hosting folks for Thanksgiving. Despite calling their office I have never been able to talk to anyone who can explain to me what they actually did (or didn't do) and what the heck they charged me for. Would not recommend at all.

Service technician left a mess on the floor below my air handling unit. Should have cleaned the floor. He also arrived later than the 2 hour appointment window.

They were able to.get to me quickly to repair my heat on one of the coldest days of the year. The tech was friendly and professional, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem.They're my go-to company for all household maintenance. Josh and Darryl arrived and did a thorough inspection to make sure everything was in good working order. They found some leaks and replaced all my old shutoff valves. Very friendly, professional, and efficient.

Update: Back in July, I had a technician come out, to help with an electrical issue. Here it is December and I've yet to have anyone come back out and fix the issue (he was to order a part and was to call to schedule an appointment to install). Because of this, I did not renew any maintenance subscriptions. Reducing my rating from five stars to three .Superb service all three times (AC, furnace, and electrical issues) we have used Michael and Son.

David came to do an estimate, he was prompt, knowledgeable, and professional answering all my questions and ensuring I understood how they would complete the job. I am sure the job will be completed with the same level of professionalism.

Josh helped me troubleshoot some water pressure issues and get my fridge water dispenser working much better. He went above and beyond to help me understand the plumbing in my house, pointed out some issues, and did my annual plumbing inspection the same day. It is such a relief to have someone to call when I need help with things I am not comfortable fixing on my own.

I had a new water heater put in but the angle in the hot side put excessive pressure on the joint and caused the pipe to come apart flooding the laundry room. Nicky from Michaels came in and offset the hot side piping and converted it over to copper. He did a good job and waited to check his work before leaving

It took Michael and Son six months and a handful of visits to get our brand new, Michael and Son-installed humidifier working. Communication was severely lacking. The HVAC manager never once contacted me despite my requests (as communicated to reception when I called them). I was told that the part (replacement humidifier thermostat) “just arrived this morning,” but I wasn’t contacted to have it installed for three weeks. This was not a positive experience. I wouldn’t recommend them or have them do additional HVAC work.

Mr. Darryl did an excellent job repairing my toilet back-up. He kept me informed on all aspects of the repair and ensured that there were no lingering issues prior to completion. Overall, excellent work and will be calling again if future repairs are needed.

I have worked in the service industry for over 2 decades and as manager, I am acutely aware that until AI and Robots take over the world, all organizations are only as strong as their weakest link and mistakes do happen. My initial install from Michael and Sons was very disappointing for various reasons – so why on earth am I giving them 5 Stars on this Google Review … one word #Service_Recovery .I reached out to their manager John via email, and he responded immediately. He made no excuses, was unequivocal and focused on same day resolution. He sent out what I think is his “fixer”, guy by the name of Bruce, who turned my prior install into a work of true workmanship with full attention to detail. Mr. Bruce even upgraded my tank to one that would have cost me double what I initially paid for (trust me, I looked it up). He broke down the specs of the new install and explained everything in detail. He even threw in a smoke/CO2 detector and yes, cleaned up after himself. All the while, he made zero excuses for the prior install.Look, I am certain that there are many companies out there who can properly install a water heater. My endorsement here, as a REAL CUSTOMER, is very specific... that Michael and Sons will address all your concerns if you are not 100% satisfied with the job and for that, I am willing to pay slightly more. They may not be the cheapest player in town (I checked), but their Service Recovery is at Sensei level.

Hank, the electrician working my project earned 10 out of 5 stars. I recommend Hank without reservations. Between the time we walked through the project for an estimate, and the two days of install I have no doubt I asked 120 questions. I am sure there were a few questions I asked two or three times. Hank patiently answered all my questions and where needed answered the questions I did not know to ask. The estimate clearly itemized all the equipment needed, including brand names where applicable. Other companies I received estimates from gave a one-line explanation of the project and the price but did not itemize any equipment. Hank arrived on-time for every appointment, completed the work exactly as he described to me ahead of time, and cleaned up after the job was done. The end result is neat, organized, and labeled for future reference.

In may 2022 I called for service estimate for lighting for my yard, my kitchen and dining room. When the price was given for the service I agreed and paid my $69.99 payment that would go for repairs if I agreed to have the work done. I went out purchased all the things needed to do the repairs. The guy who I gave the check to had an emergency. I will take half of the blame for not calling back to reschedule but I wasn't told the the estimate was only good for 30 days on today January 10, 2022. I called back for two appointments for dishwasher flush for Saturday Jan 7, 2023 with a wait time for 3-6pm I waited all day for these people to service me for them to come out and not do the work for him to open and close the dishwasher and say we don't work on appliances when I explained over the phone what I needed done. A line flush of my dishwasher. I also had an appointment for Jan 20, 2023 for the repairs for lighting that they said they could do since I paid the $69.99. That I had to fight to get included in that upcoming service. One thing I will not do is use a company that don't know how to communicate properly while waisting my time. Im going to count the $69.99 as a loss, cause Im simply tired of trying to get good service. I will never use this company again. I went on an cancelled my appointment for January 20, 2023. Im over the whole experience, Im sure someone will come along with 4 stars and lie to keep their rating up. Customer service is a no. The phone reps need more phone etiquette training as well too. A waist of time and money on to the next company of my choice. A waist of time and a lot of miscommunication.

Hank saved me the headache of repairing my entire office circuit. I am starting a new job on Monday, and was worried I'd have to work from my dining room table. Hank took care of all of the outlets in my office, explained what was happening, and how it was all getting fixed. He did an outstanding job.

Adam White installed a dish washer and garbage disposal for us. He did it very professionally, it looks great, it works. It's just what we needed for our house. He answered lots of questions and showed me lots of things. I am very happy with the service and Adam was very nice to my children running around too.He even cleaned some water lines, valves, and faucets that had low water pressure and they are working so much better now. Very friendly, helpful and sympathetic to our issue from the minute they answered the phone. We had a leak. They came out that same day. Porfirio was determined to find the problem. He was knowledgeable, explained everything he was doing, things to look for should we have future leaks and water isn't immediately visible (i.e., soft spots), and next steps we could take to clean up the wet area and check for further damage. He didn't leave until we were satisfied. A very positive experience.

The fixture I purchased didn’t fit properly so the technician evaluated the situation and provided a replacement light ithat was perfect. He installed the new fixture, and vacuumed and wiped up the space. Wonderful job and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.

Called late over night for AC failure and they were able to send out a technician the next day so I will give them that.Unfortunately four hours after my AC was “repaired” it stopped working again.The technician said there was a leak in the system, but refused to run a test because I wasn’t a member of there service plan.The technician didn’t say this till after he added 3 pounds of refrigerant, a total wast of $488!Unfortunately my family now has no AC for the weekend/week, I was able to book a time with another company that will run a leak test without requiring me to sign up for the membership program.

The service was great. The technician very nice and knowledgeable. The bad part was that the weather was hot and AC went up. It took 3 weeks to get an appointment, and My mother is 83 and wheel chair bound and they could not make it sooner. To top that off the technician was 3 hours late from scheduled appointment.

Had them fix a leaky pressure regulator, showed up on time, was professional, clean install of new regulator, wore foot coverings. Also found that the water heater had leaked likely due to the same issue and saved me some headache in finding that later.

Thoroughly impressed with technician Lal and his expertise. My toilet has been serviced by two other plumbers within a year (and many before that) for the same problem - if it overflows, it leaks into my downstairs ceiling. Every time, the plumber would say it’s a wax ring issue and they’d just give me a new wax ring. To Lal, that sounded unlikely to be the problem. He was the only plumber that not only noticed my floor in the bathroom was not level (thus, the pipe connected to the toilet was lower than it should be) but that my toilet flange had huge gaps between it, the floor, and the pipe! Thus, every time my toilet got clogged, it didn’t back up into the toilet, it just overflowed and went up and over my pipe into the ceiling. I was extremely furious that I spent thousands on plumbers who never caught this issue when it seemed too obvious. Lal repaired it rather quick and gave me great service.4 stars only because I believe the price for replacing the flange part and the wax rings was thoroughly ridiculous based on what I researched for part and labor (I ended up paying nearly $1800 for this entire service). However, I still paid it without hesitation because of the responsiveness of their dispatch and the expertise. Funnily enough it has already paid for itself a week later. My toilet clogged and it backed up into the toilet like it was supposed to, and when I plunged it, no water leakage! Just super happy I can finally fix my ceiling.

Fantastic. I had to replace our Air conditioner. Out of 7 bids theirs was the best option for us, not the cheapest but best fit for us. Marvin was great. We signed the paperwork and got it installed the next day.

Well, confusion on charge. Was told $69.00 for service fee. If costs more, $69.00 would be deducted. Gentleman, very professional did a trouble shoot and mentioned that it would cost $266.00. That's literally insane. To top it off, the problem was the GFI plug which was to be an added $391.00. I have never in all my years paid that kind of money for an electrical issue. I opted to do plug myself but, still had to pay $266.00 which is an outrage. Unfortunately, will never use service again.

The Technician was professional and couldn’t have been better. The office was also great. They scheduled the service call right away. It was all repaired within hours. People have told me M&S was expensive. So I was prepared for the cost. I used BGE years ago for the same reason. That being you get what you pay for. So essentially I’m very satisfied.

Set up an appointment Christmas Day online, got an immediate confirmation email, and a knowledgeable technician came at the exact time estimated. Was friendly with animals and quick to analyze problem areas.

Selling house and inspection noted exposed wires and missing panel. Divine fixed it in 20 minutes. Costumer service when you call is EXCEPTIONAL. Great service, timely response, great price, masks being used, footies used in the house. I wouldn't bother to call anyone else. Wish I'd called them last summer when A/C went out!

From the minute I called Michael & Son, I knew I was in for a great experience. Within an hour of my frantic call, our technician Adam appeared, quickly assessed our 26 year old leaking water heater, gave us the estimate, and 3 hours later we had our new unit installed and ready to go. We will call them again for future work. Adam worked himself in a hot basement with all his COVID gear on, gave updates along the way, and make us feel comfortable with the work performed. Well he was nice but for $450 dollars I would have thought it would have been alittle more detail plus nothing to seal around the new one so bugs don’t come in the house I would think they would take care of vets better 5% off the nozzle he place on the house cost $40 at home depot made in Taiwan .I guess I’m being ignored

The AC technician did not ensure the amp amount that directs electricity to the outside heat pump was the correct amount when he noticed it was shut off on the breaker panel. He turned it on and it blew up the compressor of a new, 2022 unit. He faulted the manufacturer, regional manager told me my contract was “null and void” because now the unit was broken. The tech left for another job but told me “God Bless!” - and left.

Mohamed was very personable and professional. He serviced the unit quickly and efficiently, identifying the problem with the unit and arranged for the replacement parts. We needed an electrician to help us with a few electrical needs in our new home including a new outlet install. While the electrician was professional and timely, I’m not sure I will use them again. Paid way too much for someone to investigate our issue and tell me what I already know.

I had a new installation of a HVAC system performed by Michael and Sons. Installation looked good after they were finished, but I had to call and have maintenance performed the next day. The system was not cooling. Turns out they forgot to put coolant into the system. Seems to be working now.

Michael & Sons was the first place that could have someone come out on a Saturday afternoon to look at a leak under our kitchen sink. Charlie came even before I was told he would be here, and quickly figured out what the issue was, which ultimately required another person to come out and snake the drain. They came promptly as well, just before I was told he would arrive. He worked quickly to snake the drain, and cleaned up afterwards, even though he had put down a drop cloth. Would definitely recommend Michael & Sons to others, whether it’s an emergency plumbing situation or not!

Not only great same day service, but our awesome repairman was at our in less than 3 hours from the time we called! He was able to diagnose and repair multiple issues and when he discovered a complex repair, ordered the parts and scheduled us for first thing in the morning, to make sure that we were taken care of. My experience with Michael & Son Services was a very pleasant one. Todd, my technician, was on time, very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the steps he was going to take to solve my problem. He completed the repair in the time he said. The prices were average and even though my problem was not 100% solved, he made it so we had heat on all 3 floors again. It may be partially my fault that the repair was not 100%, I'm not sure. He told me I neede to replace a thermostat and quoted me a price on it but I elected to do it my self. Unfortunately that didn't solve my problem. I couldn't afford to have him do the suggested repair and since I purchased the part at a chain home repair depot, the part could very easily been defective. So I can't afford to have another repair done at this time, I'll find a way to live with the problem for now. I'd highly recommend Michael & Son along with Todd for repairs needed.Unfortunately I had another issue with my very old furnace and for some unknown reason I called another company to fix it. The company, a blue something showed up on time and the technician although very nice and knowledgeable was only determined to tell me how old and in disrepair my system was and trying to sell me a new one. He took my furnace apart and did absolutely nothing towards fixing it. He left and after 6 days of no contact from them I called them to see if the part he ordered was in, well to my surprise the technician never ordered the part and with the temperature at night dipping into the low 30's, it was only in the high 40's and low 50's in my house and with a very sick disabled senior citizen in the house, I needed heat!! This blue company didn't want anything except to sell me a new system and they priced the unnecessary and unneeded repairs so high that they thought my only option was to buy a new system. So I decided to call Michael and Sons again. Once again they showed up on time and the technician diagnosed my problem and gave me a price of only a third of what the blue company gave me and told me the part should be in in about 5 days. He ordered the part and said once the part arrived he would call me and set up another appointment and he also informed me that a senior citizen discount would be applied to help lower the cost! Once again Michael and Son impressed me with their professionalism and concern for my satisfaction. I have absolutely nothing good to say about the blue company and will NEVER call ANYONE but Michael and Son in the future if the situation warrants it. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

We had our blower motor fan break this past autumn and had Michael and Sons out to replace it. First they said they could use a universal motor, but that failed so they would need to order the original part from the manufacturer. We said we wanted to check price, they said okay, we did, then called a manager who said they submitted the work order.I call again the next day to check and am told that the order was submitted and should call again in a few days to check on the status again as it might take 2 weeks for the part to come in. I wait and call and get told again, yes it was ordered but the parts department is away so they should call me back within 24 hours. One day later with no call so I call again and the same thing happens.Again I call and this time get told I will just need to wait a few more days until the manager is back in to check on the status for whether or not this thing has actually been ordered.Finally I get to a manager after 2 weeks who says no, it actually WASN’T ordered and everyone else was lying! They fast track the order and offer a 10% discount, which is fine, but doesn’t make up for the 2 weeks of runaround and absolute unprofessionalism that I had to deal with.As an added bonus, I just learned that when installing the fan, they didn’t set the blower speeds properly, so it broke the high temperature limit switch due to overheating and another company had to fix that.Absolutely miserable experience and I absolutely recommend you stay far away from this company.

Nicky my technician was very professional, prompt and to the point. I was in the middle of a work-from-home day so I appreciated that very much! He told me what the issue was and the options for fixing it. No pressure to do the thing that was more expensive. I LOVE THAT! I will definitely call them for future plumbing needs thanks to Nicky my technician! I don't leave reviews often but I was very impressed with him and wanted to share.

Toilet plunger in the back was not seating correctly so the toilet was constantly running. I called Michael and Son to set up appointment and took the second half of the day off.Technician doesn’t show up. Call the office and he claim to have been there. I look at Ring and he is no where around. Reschedule and have the renters there.Next day someone does show up and quotes $900 to fix both toilets. Seems high to me but I have to get the issue fixed so the tenant doesn’t get a higher water bill.2 more appointments later everything is finally fixed and paid for. Another company reaches out to me about the repair and to just get another quote tell them the issue (from Michael and Son’s quote) and ask what it will cost. $75 per toilet plus a $30 part.100% avoid Michael and Son’s unless you want to overpay considerably.

The service technician (Kevin) that came out to service my heating unit was great. I received a call from him at least 45 minutes before he arrived so I had ample time to get ready. When he arrived he was knowledgeable about the system and shortly after the diagnostic I received all the necessary recommendations and quotes to make an informed decision based on the age of my unit.I would definitely recommend.

I called Michael & Sons because I needed a gas valve installed at my stove in order to to have a new stove be up to code. They were able to send someone out day of call to assess and give me a quote. And (due to my schedule), came out the next morning and replace everything and bring it up to code.

I couldn't be more please with your service. Technician Juan Argueta was so pleasant an courteous. He explained the parts and problem. He told me what he was doing and showed me. I had a simple repair on my thermostat that was fixed in less than 10 minutes. Sounds great, until it stopped working an hour after the technician left. I called and was told the earliest they could come back out to fix what they broke was the next day from 6p-midnight. The same technician calls me the following day and has an attitude, so I tell him don't bother coming. I call the main office only to have my call disconnected. I call again and finally reach a helpful person. I asked for a refund and didn't get it, which is fine. But I hope this message convinces you not to do business with this company.

I called on Memorial Day. My water pipe for the ice maker on the refrigerator was leaking and the main water valve was leaking as well. My appointment was for the window of 1-3:30. MJ the technician called and asked if he could report earlier. I agreed. MJ was very professional and explained everything that needed to be completed. He replaced both shut off valves and changed part of the pipes. MJ also checked everything before he left to ensure there was no leaks.

Ted came out and replaced our water heater. He was quick and efficient as well as professional. We have used Michael and Sons a few times for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC needs and will continue to use them.

Kitchen sink faucet hose busted. Was told I would have to replace whole Faucet unit. Without purchasing new Faucet from them - I would pay $393.00 for the installation. Also - Bathroom tub faucet leaking. Was told I would have to replace whole unit for 1 failed cartridge in the amount of $790.00 with full replacement of entire shower fixtures. Luckily - All of my fixtures were Moen. Contacted Moen and they sent replacement kitchen sink hose and Bathroom tub cartridges free of charge. Cancelled my appt with Michael & Son. Used another reputable Plumbing Service.

I dont leave reviews but my experience with this company has, in the past been mediocre, and now worse.Having cooling problems, i reached out on a Friday and scheduled an appt. for yesterday. Tech showed up on site, did not knock (i have camera footage), and left the property without calling. Clearly the tech did not want to do the work. You also can’t call the tech directly. It calls their office.Now when i call customer service to get help with this situation, I was told nothing can be done, no manager will talk to me and now i have to wait another week for service. Honestly this company isn’t worth the time or headache you have to spend to get someone to help…Just go elsewhere. As a repeat customer this is my last try.

Our kitchen sink was stopped up.We called Michael and Son and they came out the next day. Porfirio arrived on time, gave us an estimate and he had the line cleared in no time. He was so good we had him install a new faucet . We would recommend Michael and Son.

Friendly and courteous. I already removed the old shower faucet cartridge and installed the new one. I could not get the clip to slide over the tab. Michael and sons removed the new cartridge that I bought. Cleaned out the pipe and reinstalled cartridge. Happy with work but cost me $480. Highway robbery considering I did most of the work.

I had a break in my main sewer line outside my home. It was an absolute nightmare - I couldn't use water without sewage coming up the toilet. I called Michael & Sons and that day Doug came by, took a look, and gave me an extremely reasonable estimate. The very next day Clevonne and Alfred came over in the morning and got to work. Michael came by as well and helped with the indoor leaks I was having. Overall they were amazingly professional, quick, and wonderful! Thank you!

We called Michael & Sons to give us an estimate on running a natural gas supply line to our new inground (heated) swimming pool. We chose you because of the outstanding service provided to us when we purchased our replacement hvac system a few years ago. The crew at the time was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful.This time we weren’t so lucky… or happy. The technician asked me questions that I had no idea what the answer are. He asked how deep my opened trenches are (pool utility trenches still open) and how far away the heater would be. He would know both by just walking out our back door (which he never did). He told us that we couldn’t do it with our current gas meter, and that you guys don’t replace meters and that that it would be about 6mo to get an upgraded meter from BGE! That was it. Paid for a wasted service trip, and out the front door he went.We will now be reaching out to your competitors to see what they have to say. Maybe they’ll at least give us what we call for… a quote to run a gas line. We’ve done a lot of “talking up” Michael’s & Sons due to our past experiences. The technician was professional and I was satisfied with the work he performed. My issue is with scheduling the job. He was scheduled for the entire day at my house to begin at 0800 and I received confirmation the night before. The technician didn’t arrive until1300 because he was reassigned by his supervisor to another job site so he was unable to complete all the work at my house. As a result I need to schedule another day for him to come out and complete the job. Very poor planning and communication from the dispatcher/scheduling supervisor as I received zero notification. I called to inquire about arrival and the dispatcher could not provide an estimate of when or if the technician would arrive. Considering how expensive this company is I expected more… no communication, no apology, no offer of a discount because of the inconvenience and need to schedule another day to complete the tasks…

I had an aquatherm heating and cooling hvac unit installed in my condo this past June. At the time, it was 90 degrees out, so the technicians didn’t bother to test the heat. Fast forward to October and now November, the heating part of the unit does not work. Because the system is an aquatherm system, it uses the hot water heater to heat the home. But, the system is only pumping out cold water.Michael & Son has come out on two different occasions and still the issue has not been fixed. I’m paying for a brand new system that is not functioning properly, yet Michael & Son is not handling this with the urgency that is expected, when someone chooses your company above all others. Instead, this has become an issue for me to have to constantly call and check up on with regards to status.The technician that came out yesterday said I should be expecting a call from the HVAC manager yesterday evening! It is now almost noon the next day and no one has called me! I called Michael & Son this morning to follow up to see if the technician that initially installed the unit back in June is still employed with the company and if he can maybe come out and check it.The agent I spoke with said that she’d have Carlos and both the HVAC Manager give me a call. Yet and still, nothing.Michael and Son installed my unit wrong and is not taking the urgent responsibility needed to fix this ASAP! We are in the beginning of November and on the east coast, so what if it’s not cold enough right now for you all to care that I don’t have heat. I will need it in likely two weeks!I am so disappointed in the install and the run around I’ve been receiving since letting them know this was an issue. I will never use this company again.

I asked for assistance in determining if a new gas stove would be compatible with the current gas line I have in my home. They would need to look at the gas pipe I currently have, read specs from the manual of the new stove on line (because I have not yet purchased the stove) and determine compatibility. The cost to come out is $69., but they have no idea what the cost is for the opinion. So they expect me to hire someone and have no idea what the total cost will be? Very poor customer service. I will deal with a company who can provide a quote.

Mr. Jowers was absolutely phenomenal!! The professionalism was just the tip of the iceberg. He had to figure out what a prior electrician had done with no paperwork work AND fix the wiring fiasco of another electrician who had worked on my solar panels hours before, leaving me without crucial power to important things, such as the well pump. (NO WATER…ouch!) He left denying it was his fault that my well mysteriously stopped working when he was working on my solar inverter. I called Michael &Sons and they dispatched Mr. Jowers and he saved the day!!! Cannot say enough good about him or this company. Highly recommend.

I'm changing the rating from1 star to 4.=================================I used Michael and Son Service for HVAC system tune-up in DC, and was very impressed with the quality of the service and professional technician onsite. So when my apartment in Baltimore needs heating system check-up. I directly contacted Michael and Son. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with their service in Baltimore. At the time when the technician arrived, my system could not start, and the young technician did not have much experience. I had to help him open the gas furnace cover, and the blower component cover.The technician was lack of troubleshooting experience, just took some pictures and provided none of check-up services on the list.Later on, I found out the root cause was the loose wires on the control panel. After tightening up the loose cables, my heating system worked fine. Too bad, the technician could not help, and I was charged for the full amount without getting any tune-ups.I contacted the Michael and Son in Baltimore area, and reported my concerns and asked for the refund. But till today, afrer 4 business days, I haven't heard any words from Michael and Son at Baltimore.I'm very disappointed with its technical service and customer care in Baltimore area.

I did not have a professional experience. The appointment was scheduled at my upstairs rental property. Service window was 8-10:30. Technician arrived at 12:30 and no issue was identified in upstairs apartment. Technician needed to get into downstairs apartment but tenant in downstairs apartment was unable to wait. I asked that $69 fee not be charged until technician returned to fix problem now thought to be in downstairs apartment. He told me his time was not free and I would be charged. No apology for being late and no consideration for my time this morning either ( multiple calls to Michael and Sons) . He was asked not to discuss the situation with tenant but ended up telling her details . His summary on the invoice is incomprehensible. Technician was Bahram Atarod. I asked to speak with his manager, but no response. Please address. Would like to get a get a call back from a manager to my number on file. Upon first meeting our tech, Bruce Walker, he was professional, great personality and knowledgeable. He assessed our problem and informed us he could install a new water heater that day. Mr. Walker left to gather all his equipment to complete the job. He completed the job and did not leave our home with any mess that we had to clean up!!! Hooray for that!!! If you want a great tech with a great personality and professional ask for Bruce Walker. Oh I almost forgot he handled that 200+ water heater alone, bringing it in the home and taking it to the lower level. Don't forget he had to lift it all alone and remove the old one. Way to go Bruce!!!

Extremely easy to set up appointment online. They were actually able to fit me in earlier than my scheduled appt. Charlie was very professional and did a great job replacing all the pipes, shut off valves and installed a new faucet in our half bath. This is the second time we have used Michael and Sons and would highly recommend them.

Michael & Sons scheduled and appointment, then couldn't honor the appointment. On the follow up, the technician was very communicative about his arrival and conducted himself in a very professional manner. The quoted price was absurdly high. Would not recommend.

Yesterday they came out to fix a leaking toilet and while he was here he asked if there was anything else, so I had him fix a leak on our dock. Great customer service.

I recently had this company out to do a furnace cleaning, and they were excellent!The technician, Andrew D. Was knowledgeable, courteous, and skillful. He was willing to take the time to explain the work, and even gave me tips to look for in the future to ensure the continued effective running of my furnace!I will definitely call them again for any heating needs I have.

Our tech was great, our house is 80 plus years old and we knew that getting to some pipes would be a challenge because we do not have drywall, our house is mostly plaster. We were prepared to fix the wall but were told the tub enclosure would not be affected, well we ended up with a 1 foot square hole which they will send another crew out to repair. No thanks, I was charged an additional 300 dollars more than I was told three days before. Strange I signed something on that day but recieved my estimate and invoice on the date the work was done and low and behold, no signature on my estimate, (probably because the estimate from three days before had to be fixed when they needed more money due to the work in taking out part of my wall) Will definately not recommend or use their services in the future, sad because our tech was great but felt there was a major disconnect. Oh and don't depend on the tech tracker, both times the system showed they were there and did not show up for 2 hours.

This isn't the first time I've used Michael & Son, but the last couple of times I or my dad have used them, it's been unacceptable. Not only have they been late, they have also been no shows. Yesterday, they were an hour late, and then when they got to the neighborhood, were by the wrong house and didn't bother to call. When we called to follow up, the response was that the driver left because he tried to call by the iPad wasn't working. They did the same to my dad at his house about a month ago. When we call to express frustration, there was no empathy or apology given. To be honest based on this, I'd actually give zero stars. It's just unacceptable to give a time frame, be late, and not show up. And on more than one occasion.

The seal went bad on the disposal. Porfiro came in, pulled down the disposal and replaced the ring. The leak is gone thankfully. He was great with communicating the issue.

Had our water heater replaced recently by Michael & Son last week. The plumber was very helpful and very cooperative. He did not pressure us to upgrade and made good recommendations. When he'd unloaded the replacement water heater and taken it out of its packaging, he realized it had damage, and he brought this to our attention then drove back to the warehouse to get another one, even though this meant the job took his full day. He stayed late until the job was done. This was a great experience, and I'd highly recommend this company based on it!

I sought services from Michael & Son after the company I have a home comfort plan left me in a lurch after waiting a month for an appointment and failing to fix my toilet on my scheduled appointment date. The competitor's technician who came out to address my issues with my toilet stated he had to order a part and that it was a two-hour job. A week later I hadn't heard from the technician or the company as to the update on the ordered part. I went online and scheduled an appointment with Michael and Son. My appointment was for the next day. The window time was between 3:30 - 6:00. Mr. Kyaw arrived at 3:33 and the job was completed by 4:11. He was prompt, courteous, and efficient. I look forward to utilizing the services of Michael & Son in the future.

Other than having to wait a few weeks for an opening (understandably so) everything was great. Michael was very knowledgeable about the water heater that hasn’t been keeping up with the household use of hot water esp for showers. He gave me an estimate on a new heater along with extended warranties at no extra charge after purchase and installation. We went room by room as he inspected the plumbing throughout our home. He explained and demonstrated how things were supposed to work and had me try my hand at a few things. He was respectful and professional. I highly recommend Michael with his excellent skill set!

My outdoor water spigot had a valve bust from freezing, tried to repair myself but couldn’t. Very timely, professional, and let me shadow him so I feel more confident maybe attempting the repair myself next time, if there is a next time. I believe his name was Tim, I forgot. Your colleagues are very personable We appreciated your timeliness and fixing the toilet I can't get downstairs because of my medical condition so getting it fixed was important. However it totally caught us off guard at the astronomical cost $817 for a toilet to be fixed I'm sorry I believe that's beyond expensive

I had two busted pipes in a crawl space which flooded my basement due to the freezing temps on Christmas. The company came out the next day and evaluated the situation. The repairs were completed today and so far so good.

Adam showed up on time and was both professional and highly knowledgeable. In addition to installing our hot water heater, he also removed our old water softener system and replaced a bathroom faucet cartridge.Adam came assessed and returned to complete our job the same day as we had no hot water for 2 days prior. He was here until we’ll into the evening hours, working diligently and getting the jobs done. My technician was David L. He was a wonderful and skilled electrician. He zeroed in on all my electrical problems and then helped me prioritize the work. He then performed a number of jobs including upgrading my panel box. Michael and sons are a little pricey, but I have peace of mind. Plus they offer a home care plan which for a moderate fee, you get inspections of your electrical and plumbing systems. David L.was very professional and polite.

I called Michael & Son to detect potential gas leakage, repaired and eventually to have gas turned on. When I called, I was told they would provide full service and could help me but when a technician came in he said he could not seal leakage and have gas turned on for us and told we need to call Fire Protection Company. I ended up calling our contract service provider for fire protection then when they came in, they said it should be the plumbers. Spent entire day doing back and forth. Eventually I called another local plumbing service, they came in the next day and have my gas turned on in an hour.WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY ON MICHAEL & SONS. IF YOU CAN’T, PLEASE DON’T. I had a severe clog in my plumbing causing leaking in my basement. Michael and Son sent an emergency technician. He arrived early, and was able to diagnose the problem immediately. It was addressed within an hour. The technician, Michael, explained everything to me about the problem, my plumbing, and how to prevent the issue from occurring again. He was also incredibly friendly, which made for a good experience.

Professional and safety is two words that comes to mind. The consultant explained everything to me, the plumber explained everything to me and the furnace technician explained everything to me where I had a clear understanding on what is going on. Safety because they text you the name and picture of the technician that is showing up at your house. The technician also wore mask and was very professional. Our technician was excellent, A Allah. He was very good solving our problems with panel box being labeled incorrectly. It’s an older home. We had/have a problem with a flickering ceiling fan light in the kitchen. The tech was supposed to give me a diagnosis and an estimate for repair.The price for that being $69.00. Rather than doing that, the tech fixed the problem ( a loose connection), and told me the cost of the repair was over $200.00. When I mentioned that he was supposed to give me an estimate before making any repairs, he reluctantly agreed to accept the $69.00 fee. In addition to that, the problem wasn't fixed. We still have the same light flicker, we're out $69.00, and still don't know what the issue is .

The call center who helped me schedule was very helpful. The plumber who was supposed to come over and give us an estimate for the job was 5-6 hours late without telling me. I had to call several times. Then when he came, he was really aggressive and demanded we make a decision right away. It was $69 for an estimate, alone. When we asked for some guarantee, he didn't express a lot of confidence in the fix. For $~1K, he's going to try out a solution...not sure if the fix would work. In the field, customer service was lacking. Will not be seeking their services in the future.

This was our first time actually having Michael & Sounds come out. We previously had them scheduled to come for a water meter leak that we had and they called us before hand to ask if we could take some pictures of the issue. It turned out that we needed the county to do the fix. We really appreciated that they were protective and saved us the visit fee for something they weren't sure they could do. After that experience, we knew if we had plumbing issues down the road we would be calling them.Last night we discovered that we had a leak in a pipe connected to our water heater and at the same time our kitchen faucet started leaking. We called and we're able to get an appt next day. Josh was our technician and was not only extremely professional but was able to come early due to a cancellation. He fixed the water heater pipe and also replaced a valve going to our outside spicket. I had mostly fixed the sink faucet myself but he have some tips to finish the job. Josh was really knowledgeable, did great work, the price was fair, and we will definitely be calling Michael & Son's for any future work needed.

My first visit with my plumber was not great. He definitely tried some underhanded, under the table business. He has since been fired. My new technician, Shakir, was amazing and through! He saw multiple problems, even on in an area that he wasn't required or requested to inspect and let me know of the dangers and problems they could cause for my house hold. So it was your typical... go to bed late at 3:14 a.m. just to get woken up at 7:30 a.m. that water is leaking non-stop from the toilet due to a compromised water intake valve.So, just had to shut off ALL the water and assess the water damage from the water that leaked through to the basement.Called 1 company to make an EMERGENCY appointment and they couldn't get to me until the time window of 2pm - 6pm. Needless to say, that just wasn't going to work for me.So, i called Michael & Sons and they were able to get to me between the times of 8am - 1030am with a plumber and a water mitigation person due to the water that leaked through the floor into the basement and I was able to get all this done before my housekeeper arrived. Mr Sherman Spinnock and Mr Paul Dias were both very professional, personable, and helpful to remedy my plumbing situation. I'd recommend them anytime.Thank You Michael & Sons.

Must have had a bad run considering allOf the good reviews for the company. Waited over 4 hours outside of my time window for the service technician to arrive. Late due to another job. It happens and I understand that. What I don’t understand is that when I get the call that he’s 20 minutes away somehow it turns into my appointment being rescheduled for a completely different day! When I called the dispatcher to find out what is going on, she informed me after 10minutes on hold that she isn’t sure what happened and that the tech can still come out and add me to the end of his route which would be after 6 pm. 5 hours after the beginning of the original window. Absolutely not. Will be using another company that can better serve customers

Using the website to make my appointment which was for the next available, not emergency, was easy and quick. The work done to cut out the pipe, took 15 seconds, and then replace it and the p-trap, all took less than 30 minutes, seems to have been done well and the technician was pleasant and did a clean up of the area. The price for this seems to be quite high though. For this 30 minute procedure I was quoted just over $500, after I balked at the price I was told that the pipe needed to be cut away, again it took 15 seconds. The tech did give a 10% discount after I said that still seemed very high. The 30 minute of work and less than $40 of supplies cost me $450. Way too much for what was done during regular hours and non emergency, in my opinion.

Mike came to our house when all of our radiators were leaking throughout our house! He helped us diagnose the problem, fixed a valve and came back to the house after he had left to drain the pipes, thinking how to solve our problem. Amazing commitment to quality work! I didn’t know Michael and Son performed restoration services! Breona and Chris came out and performed restoration services in my basement, and upstairs of my home due to water damage. They were very professional, prompt and clean!

Air Conditioner tune up. Tech performed well, but did not go over checklist of having me sign. I really did not know what I was signing, but just initialed where he told me to.

Plumber who came out was unprepared for the job. He didn't have his own tools and instead asked to use mine. While removing the access panels to the tub and shower, he managed to strip all the screws, and didn't believe me when I told him the leak was coming from the shower.I had already cut open the ceiling for diagnosing the problem, but he never attempted to look in the hole and instead wanted to charge $200 to make the hole bigger. I didn't get any answers and still had to pay a $69 diagnostic fee.

Michael & Son provided me a reasonable quote with applicable discounts on a Carrier hvac system which included a state of the art thermostat, condensation pump and duct cleaning where others had inflated pricing. The representative promptly scheduled me for next day installation.The installation team arrived on time and quickly went to work. They explained the process and equipment and worked respectfully in my home without supervision.I could immediately tell they provided quality work without attempting to use shortcuts. I'm very pleased with my new hvac system.

Eddie Herman was the most knowledgeable, professional, and friendliest electrician I have ever met. He resolved the wiring issues we had in our older house quickly and efficiently. He took the time to explain the issue and made recommendations for future actions on our part. I hope he is available for any future work we may need. I feel confident that his work was done correctly and that he could resolve any future electrical issues we may have very quickly.

Had a gas leak after Home Depot came out to install my oven. Instead of waiting on their repair technician in 3 to 5 days I need my oven working today called Michael & Son they schedule me an appointment the same day waive the $60 plus fee when the work was performed. The technician was very prompt even went to the local hardware store to find a part that he could not locate went out to his truck to get an extra part that he didn't charge me for not that I mind paying but it was nice knowing that this company was above and beyond. I shall have them out again to do other repairs and they've got a customer for life. I understand with the pandemic in the snow that their service was a little slow in getting to me and I'm hoping next time it'll be a little faster but all in all a 4-Hour wait during my window of 3 hours it's not something I can really complain about or care that much on.

Fortunately, I had photos of the pipe layout in the floor directly above my ceiling. He correctly assessed the problem by looking at a photo, cut the smallest hole possible in my ceiling, and repaired the problem within 10 minutes. Excellent honest service. I was quoted 678 from other repair service I found online he said he needed a part so may be a couple days. After waiting 2 days I decided to call Michael & Sons to see if they could come sooner. They got me in the same day and Antonio Noel was the technician he was in and out in no time and diagnosed the problem which was only a dirty sensor. Charged me 89 bucks for service call and gone. My entire encounter wasn’t the best with plumber Adam. He wanted to give me an estimate on something I didn’t ask for. Miscommunications happen, understood however the disrespect wasn’t needed. “they're completely clueless!!! I told customers there is a fee for us coming out, of course they don't wanna pay! This is a ridiculous waste of time!!!” This is word for word what Adam wrote about my mother and I.It’s one thing to talk about a customer poorly, amongst your peers it’s another when the comments are visible to the customer. “Of course THEY don’t wanna pay” what does that verbiage even mean???I would never work, refer or make another appointment with this company.

We were concerned about our lights flickering in the whole house. The technician was professional and kind and gave us a few steps to take before we would incur a large cost and gave us peace of mind that the issue was not as serious as we had feared. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of assistance in their home.

We had a small leak turn into a larger problem throughout the day. We called Michael & Son's based on their reviews and after hours availability. MJ came out to our house a little while later and was awesome. Very polite, professional and clean in his work. He took before and after pictures and walked through everything with us. In the end everything was fixed from the leak in our ceiling to the main water cut off valve in our house that was bad. I'd certainly use their services again.

Highly NOT recommending! We have requested for a consult. The person came out and took about an hour to just take a look at our HVAC. They wanted to charge us 600$+ for just looking at our HVAC. This is the price without any actual service done. 600$ per hour for just a consult? We had to negotiate down to 200$+. Again, no service was done. The negotiated 200$+ was only for a consult. We even called and made sure that the person that came didn’t try to pull anything funny on us. Nope! This place reassured us that IT IS their price. We paid since it is our fault for not confirming the price before letting that person into our house. It might be cheaper to get a neurosurgeon to take a look at our HVAC and get the same result as these guys. Such a scam.

The technician was very professional but for 40 minutes of work to swap out a light switch Michael and Son’s charged over $600. I should have did my homework prior and would have realized this was double the average cost in the area. I was going to use them for a plumbing issue also but due their services being so unbelievably exorbitant I will never use their services again.

Your service person told me you had to set up calls before you even considered installing my wiring for my security light which to me were extremely costly because after you add in your known cost then you were going to charge me for any extra wiring or installation of my unit you had this hidden cost that we could have talked about on the phone so as far as I'm concerned I don't know how I can justify using you anymore and you are just taking a service fee for coming out when you knew and no that people probably would not accept the attic cost that you are putting on them in my view.

They do NOT service furnaces or boilers from 2000 past.
Make sure you ask if they service your model/year before paying the $89 diagnostic fee to simply be told your system is old, but we can help you buy a new one.

When I woke up to a wet floor in my basement, I instantly became STRESSED 😫!! I didn't know who to called! I called Michael and Sons, from the initial call, the dispatcher was pleasant and professional. I received a courtesy call and text message of the technician coming to my home with a great short bio. Ted was the lead tech, he was so knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and professional along with Alex. They replaced my water heater within a few hours. They were great. Great service for the repair of an exterior 1951 faucet. Also replaced the old and rotted galvanized line with new copper piping. Cost was reasonable given the time and parts for the fix. So happy to have a working exterior faucet again.

My landlord reached out on my behalf to have the furnace repaired. I appreciated the tracker to follow the driver’s estimated time of arrival. The repair person came on time and was friendly and professionally. I’m leaving four stars, not because the service wasn’t quality but because the repair person was unable to complete the service as he had to order a part to fix the issue. I’m sure I can update this review to five stars after the furnace is finally fixed.

I had an excellent experience with Michael and Sons. Ted assessed the problem and Josh installed my new hot water heater the next day. Very easy to work with.

I called Michael and Son at 8 pm for a plumbing repair and they were able to schedule a technician the following day. My technician, Dion, was extremely friendly and helpful. Dion called me as soon as he diagnosed the issues and provided multiple options for the repairs. He even offered a discount, which I appreciated. Over my experience was great, but I paid $500 for a kitchen faucet, which seems expensive to me. Otherwise the technician was great and I will definitely call them the next time I have a plumbing issue.

Michael & Son provided sound recommendations, even when it resulted in less profit for them. The service they did end up providing was professional. Their scheduling and planning for the apointment was very organized. I will continue to use them for future needs.

I called in the morning with backed up laundry sinks and Jessie was at our house an hour later. He was professional, courteous, a good diagnostician, and - in addition to clearing the clog - made an excellent repair that should help with this back-up issue in the future. The work was completed quickly and thoroughly. The pricing was reasonable, compared to other work we've had done in the past. Would definitely use Michael & Son again!

Haven't moved forward yet, this was just a quote but A. Allah was very professional and easy to talk with. He was prompt and professional. He called beforehand to say he was 25min out and arrived precisely when he said he would. We would recommend Michael and Son just based on our experience so far.

I contacted this company for an emergency heater repair after realizing my furnance had no pilot lit. The website promoted 24 hour servicing however, I had to wait 2 days before a technician could come out. Once out, the technician was professional and diagnosed a pressure switch replacement. He attempted to make a repair with a part, but later said he had to order the part and it would arrive within 2-3 days. He said at that time he would contact me to return to complete the repair. I was satisfied with that and purchased space heaters in the interim. After 2-3 days, no one contacted me. After 5 days, I called to follow-up and no one could provide an update. On the 7th day out, someone finally said the part was ordered, however, its sitting at the warehouse. I could not be provided an ETA for the part or any anticipated date to complete a repair. Again, no one ever called to update me or communicate a reason for the substantial delay. I had to reach out to this business for days when I could've used that time to find another company to service me. I'm very disappointed in the customer service and lack of regard/transparency given my emergency heating issue.

We used Michael and Son to replace our well pump and pressure tank when it failed. The dispatch personnel were great and very respectful, they got a tech scheduled to come out that afternoon. To our surprise and delight the tech called about an hour later to let us know they were able to come out earlier than planned which worked perfectly for. Ted was our tech and we enjoyed working with him. He talked us through everything he was seeing and was very thorough on his diagnostics of the situation. Much of what he said was what we were expecting to hear. Once the problem was diagnosed we had a plan to replace and scheduled for the next day. I would highly recommend using Michael & Son for your plumbing needs, and if you are lucky enough to have Ted as your tech, you are in great hands!

Eddie Herman my technician was top notch. Our house is very old and we had a number of issues. When Eddie came out he did a thorough inspection of our panel, outlets, and various other fixtures that didn’t work well.

Michael & Son Services has so far been the best service provider we've seen at our house. We called requesting repairs for a leak in our HVAC system. Damon, the technician, was sweet and personable and had no problem explaining to us what had gone wrong. He knew exactly what he was doing and made the repairs look easy. Michael &Son via Walter Lopez saved us! I've never been so happy with a service call in my life. Prior to Walter showing up to our home we were dealing with a nightmare contractor job to replace a broken tankless water heater that had eaten up all my nerve and left me a bit depressed that we would never get things right. I've never been so happy to talk with someone that could fix our problem. Not only did he provide possible options for fixing a botched job, he said that he could come in the next day and replace everything that was done and do it better, which he surely did. He came late in the day after we chatted, and to check out the available spaces, figure out what was needed, talked through all the issues that we needed to work through. Even assisted with what we need to do with gas company and assisting with the application to so. Not only did he did a prior sweep to figure out all the issues, he arrived on time the next morning, started work immediately, and worked all day to get us up and running, and finishing the job by early evening. Looked like it should have been a two man/multi-day job, but Walter did a bang up job and finished within the day. So very happy with is work and dedication, and know that he stands behind the installed device and work completed. I've attached a pic of the water heater location before and after because I was in awe at the precision and aesthetic of the work. Hank has come in to repairing a wiring mess which was untouched for almost a decade (by the previous owner).Hank has done a very professional job and resolved the lighting issue after fixing the wiring connections and securing them in proper junction boxes and wire nuts. I am so glad to be able to use the lights in my 3rd floor room. Hank was a wonderful person to work with and I definitely look forward to work on more electrical projects with Hank.Thank you.

We have used Michael & Son Services many times, always excellent service. The only complaint I have about this service call, he left the closet where the water was installed a mess. There was rusty water residue on everything attached to and near the water heater. A bucket was still in the closet with rusty water from the removal of the old water heater.

What an easy to use and wonderful company!! Everything was so easy from scheduling to knowing they were on their way and the service they provided and the price. Highly recommend this company. I haven’t seen this level of customer service since the pandemic and they were a breath of fresh air!

Michael and Sons is our go-to for HVAC and plumbing in Canton. They are quick, responsive, and get the job done right. Darryl came out the afternoon before 4th of July and stayed 3 hours to get the job done when my leaky shower and stubborn faucet wouldn't stop. We told him he could call it a night, but he graciously stayed long to ensure the job was done right. Cannot recommend enough!

I had a toilet tank rebuild. The technician was very friendly. However, I noticed that the work had not been done correctly and my toilet began leaking by the next morning. I called Michael and Son and the operator, rather than saying we'll be right out, said, how about Tuesday (three days later)? That's not what one expects to hear when their technician messed up and there's water on your floor. For such a premium, high-priced service I expect both better work and better customer service.

Josh did a great job replacing a busted pipe and Breana did an amazing job cleaning up the sewage mess in our basement. They were very communicative and efficient.

They wanted $1500 to put one outlet in a bedroom from an Existing outlet. Who has this kind of money? We will look elsewhere.

Had two overloaded electical breakers. David quickly evaluated the situation, came up with a solution that fortunately did not result in needing a second electrical panel, installed the solution quickly and demonstrated the fix. Very quick, focused and professional.

I called Michael and Son Services at approximately 6am. Jesse showed up promptly at 10:50 am same day and fixed my toilet in less than one hour. He was professional and courteous. I am very happy with his service and this firm

I initially called Michael and Sons out for an emergency sewage backup. The technician came promptly and said he cleared the clog. 4 weeks later while using the shower our toilet overflowed and I called them again. The technician came out and claimed to have cleared the clog again. It was confusing how the clog had reformed so quickly, but we again paid for the work. I called and scheduled a diagnostic to determine what was going on and waited for the technician. I got an call shortly before the end of the arrival window from a manager stating that they don't do camera work in pipes above ground level. He said he would call back with other options but never did. I called a few days after and left a message for him but my call was not returned. This evening while showering my husband notices that the same toilet was beginning to overflow again. I called Michael and Sons and stated that the same issue was happening again. The person who answered basically told me that we'd have to pay for the work to be done a 3rd time even though they are clearly not actually fixing the issue despite taking money each time. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a company whose technicians clearly can't fix the issue and whose managers won't return calls but will continue taking money. I'm hopeful that the next company I hire will be competent.

Had Josh as my technician/plumber and was super friendly. Had a bad injector pump and Josh quickly let me know it needed to be fully replaced. He got the new pump and installed in a little over an hour. Worked great when he tried it out to make sure everything was in order before leaving. Now my fiancé and I can go about our day without worry about that now. The new pump is much quieter as well, happy with the service.

A different plumbing company (rhymes with Ben the Plumber) canceled on me last minute. I needed an alarm installed on my washer piping prior to the installation of that washing machine in my narrow row home, and Michael and Sons was able to accommodate me with fast, reliable service the next day. I was so relieved to see them pull up just hours before my washer delivery.They were communicative throughout the morning prior to my service window, with frequent calls to let me know where the plumber is with their current job and time estimates of when they'd get to my home. The plumber was highly knowledgeable and provided insight related to the alarm product we purchased and provided other secondary advice we could use related to the installation of our washing machine later today. He also gave us some advice that would be useful to prepare for the installation of our device later.Overall, this team is fast, efficient, knowledgeable, and highly accommodating. They are experts. If I had any other plumbing emergencies, I would call them.

I called the company due to heating unit not working. Earliest appointment was 4 days later. Company gave me 4 hour window for appointment. Today the company called me to notify technician will be late due to a meeting. Technician showed up within window time. He was professional, wearing mask and shoe cover, and checked possible issue area. The problem was simple but he explained to me what has to be done and what to do next time. I am happy with his services today.

Dishwasher install need 2 water lines to be plugged in. That was $550. The power was hardwired in my old dishwasher. Install new receptacle? That's another $530? Another $70 each for the plumber and electrician just to check it out. Man...

Jesus is a great tech who took his time and explained to me know what needed to be done.

I've used these guys for years across multiple homes for HVAC maintenance, repair, replacement (2 units), electrical, water heater replacement, and well pump replacement. In every case they've been punctual, good communicators, easy to work with, and quality work. Not the cheapest game in town but you get what you pay for and they've always stood by their work.

Michael&Sons has serviced my HVAC twice now and each time has been a positive experience. Most recently, Omar arrived and was very responsive to the situation and issue at hand. He was able to pinpoint the problem and repair it swiftly. Along the way, he encountered some other troubling information that he gathered while testing my system. He was able to work through each problem with ease and completely fixed my system. I am so grateful for his honesty and work ethic. He is a very dependable technician and this encounter has persuaded me to become a permanent M&S customer. Well done!

3 weeks and 2 techs later I am living in a house where the temperature is 87 and I have bronchial asthma. They came out twice and didn't help. I missed my holiday to wait for a tech who was supposed to arrive between 8:30 and 10:30 am July 3rd. I received an email and text ar 10:01 am to say the tech called out. They scheduled my for today to find the leak. He tells me the problem and say he cannot fix it until another tech is scheduled to come and give me several pricing options then I will have to schedule someone to come and install. I asked the tech to put me through to his manager. He gets on the call and tells me he is busy but he will see what he can do.I had to pay over $300 for them to show up and find the leak and am still without air and waiting for a new bill to be presented. This company is awful.

UPDATE 8/2I talked to a supervisor, Mr Hammock, yesterday. He checked out my pictures and got a technician out next day. The tech arrived early in the morning and got the fan cleaned out. He did a check of the unit to make sure nothing else was wrong. Im happy with the service I received after getting in touch with a supervisor. He called to make sure I was happy with the service before the tech left.(8/1)Was sold an overpriced useless care program. You’re supposed to get priority service and you do NOT get it. It took 2 weeks to get a tech out for my ac not blowing air properly. When they tech did show up he said it was from the filter being “overrated” for my system. He removed it and left it out. I was told to leave the filter out. I asked if the problem was the blower fan and he said no. Tech leaves without doing anything besides remove a filter. The problem was not solved so I got on Google and tried to figure it out myself. Once again the blower fan was listed as a possible problem. I went and checked myself and there is something jammed up in it. I called and they said a tech would not come back out for 7 days. I asked for a supervisor to call me and they have not. It’s been 24 hours and they were supposed to call same day. If you have a problem with your service do not expect them to make it right.

Christian was very personable, respectful and professional. He answered all of our questions and we ended up purchasing the Home Care Plan upon his recommendation. All of our systems were working great. He told us when our tune up would be and the one service we need to have that can be done at the same time as the tune up. We felt like he was knowledgeable about our system. He was able to show up earlier than the scheduled appointment and called to see if that would be convenient for us. Just a really nice guy that had both me and my husband laughing too.

I gave Michael & Sons a call last year to replace my AC unit, and the installation was flawless. Very well job done. They cleaned up after themselves as well. I called them again to replace my Water Heater that went up. Bruce Walker and his helper came out to give me an estimate, talk to me about what they could do, and get me set up for installation, which was scheduled within a day and done efficiently. Their professionalism is one of the best I've ever experienced, with great attitudes, and they always arrived on time, explaining the entire process from start to finish and cleaned up after themselves. Very satisfied with choosing Michael & Sons over the rest.

This was the second time I called Michael and Son for a plumbing emergency and technician Juan, again was assigned to do the work. He was on time, quickly assessed the situation with collecting materials required and proceeded to complete replacement of the hot water heater. The task was compounded within a tight space beneath the stairs but Juan remained focused and positive completing all work including cleanup in a timely manner. The plumber arrived on time. He covered his shoes and kept his face mask on the entire time. He not only identified the gas leak that BGE turned off, but he identified three other gas leaks that BGE never even checked. He demonstrated how the gadget to find gas leaks worked and got started.This was a major repair that lasted all day. The installation of the new lines are tucked away very smartly. When he finished, he cleaned the entire area even though I told him I would clean it when he left. He answered All of my questions as he was working; though I’m sure I asked the same thing several times.. Ugh, unfortunately it pains me to leave a bad review, but this was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a contractor. We had an initial visit with a tech that ordered a small part to replace, then battled with the company trying to track down the tech, a manager, the part, etc. for almost 7 weeks. We ended up being told the tech had health issues, but for a large professional company, there should be steps in place to correct this and assign another tech after we went almost two months without hot water. I kept being told by customer service reps “this is so crazy, we’ve never seen this happen” “we will get upper management involved and fix this immediately” and then would continue to hear nothing. Finally, John the plumbing manager got involved and fixed the problem free of charge which was appreciated, however I hope this can be a learning experience and they can fix the processes in place for when a tech needs to be reassigned because I don’t think another customer would have been so patient!

Hello , I've used Michael and son once in 2011 .and was pleased with the service , I needed to have a new porch light fixture installed and I must say I was not disappointed infact I agreed signed up to use Michael and son for everything my home will need checked , installed, or fixed and I would highly recommend the company to friends and family., And that says a lot. 🤗

Travis was very professional and communicative! I was informed well in advance that there was a slight delay in his arrival (only 30 minutes). He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and provide me with multiple options to move forward. He was also very personable and made the whole experience easy and as stress-free as it could be with a broken heat system in winter. Will definitely use them again.

The worse Experience ever.The election give me an estimate, for 679$!!!I just had that problem fixed today for 50$.I feel like the company try to take advantage of all the woman who speaks broken English.Not recommended

Our tech Josh was punctual and friendly, and he was able to get us an estimate quickly. He replaced our water heater and also managed to find our water main valve that we've been searching for since we bought the place. They were able to get out within the same day as calling, and he was able to get us setup with an appointment for their water damage specialist to come out and give us an estimate as well.

My technician from Michael and sons name his and sons name was Adam Adam Adam was amazing he came in to my home assess the problem spent plenty of time explaining to me where where the problem was after finding after finding it and why it was doing it and Is informed me as to what he needed to do. He had to remove some drywall to find the problem upland and he was just pleasant and he knew his stuff and I couldn't have asked for a better plumber to come in to my home if I need a plumbing man again I will call Michael Lynn's son and ask for him personally.Is what a great man to have working for this company they are lucky.

We called Michael and Son Services when our water heater went out (13 yrs old.) MJ (Majid) came out and he was very professional and friendly. He explained our set-up, some of the current code issues, what type of water heater we needed, and got everything set up for us to get hot water again as soon as possible. During install, MJ worked very hard, especially considering our water heater is 75 gallons and needed all new piping. I would occasionally check-in on things and he took the time to answer my questions and explain what he was doing/still needed to do.It is nice to know Michael and Son Services covers many areas. We will definitely be using them for our HVAC, electrical, and plumbing needs...hopefully we can request a technician because I trust MJ with our plumbing!

Noticed a leak from the tank of my toilet and my usual plumber was out in Cancun so I called up micheal and sons. The receptionist was phenomenal. Love her. The plumber himself seemed like he just wanted to get in & out. There was no explination for anything until after the replacement was done. He took one look at the toilet itself & went here's how much to repair it and here's how much to replace it. I will say, i LOVE the speed of micheal & sons. From the call to the scheduling to the inspection to the replacement took barely 4 hours.

John, from Michael & Son Services, was at our house just over an hour after we called and was finished with all the work we needed done in less than 3 hours. He was patient in troubleshooting several issues, honest about the urgency of some versus others, and gave practical advice for long term care.He was also very understanding about the maze of boxes still present from our move, and most importantly, was super nice to my 9-month old daughter and cat.Good people, and good service.

The first interaction with Michael and sons was good, however after the initial work things went down hill. During the installation of our water heater there was an overflow issue and part of my home was flooded. The plumbers on site handled it well and immediately had an inspector come out. He promised to reach out later that day to schedule a follow up....He never did. Weeks later my wife followed up and someone was sent out and they said they would follow up again. Almost a month later we again had to follow up when a promised follow up did not materialize. It took almost two months and a lot of me and my wife taking off from work for the issue caused by the flooding to be dealt with. Again the initial work was done well, but when I needed them to rectify an understandable mistake Michael and son's fell flat.

The tech was very informative and helpful. He gave me a bunch of information without being a salesman while doing it. He was also clean, professional and pretty fast.

Our serviceman Michael did an outstanding job solving a relatively complicated drainage problem. He explained the problem very clearly and fixed it right away. He was totally courteous and professional - and cleaned up beautifully at the end.

I am very happy with Antonio. He cleaned my dryer ventilation system, answered all my questions, and even laughed at my stupid jokes. He realigned my washer and dryer before he left. It no longer makes a horrid clanging noise when the washer is in its spin cycle. I give him 4 1/2 thumbs up.Michael & Sons has continually given my above average to excellent service. From the initial phone call to schedule our appointment, their service was friendly and accommodating. Michael came to our home to repair a clogged sink. Turns out we had a more complicated issue preventing him from snaking our pipes. He explained that this issue could require extensive work to repair that could cost us hundreds if not more to fix. He got to work and got creative. He retrieved the item in the pipe without needed to do the extensive work that we were anticipating and then fixed the clog that was causing the back up. He saved us a TON of money. At the end of his service he educated me on a chemical-free way to maintain clean pipes. I will be recommending Michael and Son to all of our neighbors, family and friends!!

I own several properties in the Baltimore area and pay a monthly fee for Michael and Sons service contract. I have been paying them for a year now, and when I called to book a service call today, I was told by a horrible representative Bonnie that they do not have any openings for over a month and there is nothing they can do even though I am paying them every month for the Gold Membership to service the HVAC system. Then I was told that if I wait and pay the after-hours fee, they could get someone out tonight. This was very disappointing to hear this because I am already paying them every month for service I haven't used at all.

I have mixed feelings about my experience with Michael & Sons. I scheduled for plumber to come out between 3:30-6, received confirmation that the appoint was scheduled. After waiting til 5:15 pm without hearing anything else, I called to check the eta of the technician. The gentleman (his name is DK) I spoke with placed me on hold for a brief moment before coming back to ensure me someone would be out that evening, they were trying to get in contact with the tech. Two more hours go by; it’s now after normal business hours. I call back for an update and once again speak to DK (this man was the only reason my experience wasn’t a one star rating. He deserves 5 stars, but I have to rate based on over all experience. I’d give DK a raise if I could!), he again ensures me he’ll personally take care of it. We hang up and I get a call from the after hours technician. This man (stated his name was Al) told me he’d been working all day and he was not going to come out for an issue that was not an emergency. Granted, I did not have a pipe burst or anything like that, but because I had taken time off of work because I was promised the issue would be handled that day, I was more than frustrated. After Al told me point blank he would not be coming, he actually laughed at me and my frustration. Now, I get irritated customers can be a bit ridiculous at times, but to straight up laugh at a customer that is trying to address an issue was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. After another call to headquarters, a technician finally came out (it was nearly 9 pm at this point!) and the plumbing issue was resolved. The lack of communication and the severe lack of professionalism would have resulted in a much higher rating, but the inability for this company to fulfill its scheduled obligations or at least communicate to the customer that they may need to be rescheduled was simply unacceptable. DK, however, was the saving grace for Michael & Sons, though I will never recommend anyone use them unless they’re ready to waste hours of their time for a big headache.

They was late and just wanted to sell me a new ac unit. Checked pressures and saw it was low said there was a leak but didn't bother to look where its leaking from. I still dont know if it could be repaired or not. Feel I was over charged for the lack of work performed.

These guys are expensive, very expensive. However, they are the most professional crews I have hired, and they always get the job done with no issues or excuses. In my own words, they don't mess around. They are also fast: when you need something done and over with, call them. You'll pay an arm and a leg, but you won't be waiting around for a contractor to get back to you, their crews always have all of the tools you could imagine, and they are super knowledgeable about how to fix or replace things efficiently, going straight to the problem.Don't use them for everything, as you'll go broke. But when you need something done fast and well, give them a call.

I had a cast iron drain line rot under my basement floor. The crew at Michael and Sons arrived quickly and came up with a plan. The crew was very professional and the gentleman handling the concrete work did a fantastic job leveling out my floor.

I called on a Thursday evening for a plumbing job. I thought I would never get a Plummer by Monday the customer service person was so nice in trying to help me and he did he was able to make an appointment for me the very next morning. The plumber was there the next morning and solved the problem. I was going to settlement of my home that Monday. Michael and sons was terrific!!! Thanks Michael and sons.

I really enjoyed working with Sherman, he is very knowledgeable and at this time I couldn’t afford to to have the toilet replaced, he looked at everything and even went out of his way to answer a thousand questions that I asked him lol. I will definitely be calling you back in the future. My sewer drain is probably about 40 or 50 years old, so I’m sure with in the next few years you all will be replacing that. Garbage disposal failed and was soaking kitchen cabinet. Lived in house 30 years and this was about the fourth time a garbage disposal failed. Plumber arrived within the promised window. Professionally discussed replacing the old garbage disposal versus totally removing it and running a drain pipe directly to the sink. We want to avoid future problems so we had the disposal removed. We also had an upscale faucet to install that we were procrastinating on. The faucet was not the basis for the visit. The technician had a pricing application and made a reasonable offer which we accepted. While making the installation, he found a rusted out connection of the drain to the sink and a failed shutoff valve for the hot water. He clearly communicated the evidence for the problems. We agreed to the repairs. When he finished, everything worked like it was supposed to. We are very pleased with Sherman’s work.

We called this company to repair our doorbell. The technician came, was unable to fix the problem, and we were charged $269!! So no gain only loss.

Following inspection of a leak that caused there to be standing water in my basement, Michael & Son identified water underneath my synthetic floor that would likely need remediation. Technician Breona came to remove the flooring and remediate the water. However, when she removed the floor, it was determined that the water issue had resolved itself. Breona and manager Jason agreed that I should not pay for the service, given there was no longer need for remediation. I very much appreciated the honesty. I would have paid for the service if charged, but I am more likely to use this business again because of the way they handled the situation.

I contracted with Michael & Son to perform a routine inspection and tune-up of my HVAC system. The technician, Andrew, was professional and personable. He was thorough and explained what he was seeing. He didn’t charge me for anything that I didn’t need.I will definitely use them again.

Called for a leak in my toilet that seeped to the ceiling of my laundry room. The person answering the phone was very friendly and receptive. Got an appointment the next day. Got notification that the plumber was coming in advance of the appt, which I was really appreciative. Juan was very professional and explained the issues and provided a resolution quickly. He really took the time to explain the problem and also allowed me to ask questions. Amazing service!

Jessie was my service man. He was absolutely awesome. Professional, polite, hard working. He took the time to explain everything and instructed me on everything. I called them up to take a look at an issue of my lights flickering when my tankless hot water heater is turned on even though they are in different circuits and different panels.An electrician came over and took a look at the panels and saw no issue but the electrcian refused to open up the tankless hot water heater to look at the wiring.I emailed the company and shortly thereafter spoke to them and they explained that they don't send out electricians for problems with tankless hot water heater... I was not too thrilled that they told me this AFTER they agreed to take a look at the issue I was having. I basically need to find another electrcian that will actually look at the issue. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB since the company still charged me more than $250.

After a recent water leak in my house I was visited by the technician Ro, he went above and beyond! He was thorough, explained my options clearly and was professional! I can’t say that about other companies who I requested for service but Michael & Sons - Ro in particular did a great job and won’t hesitate to contact them in the future.

I can not express enough how grateful I am for the experience I had with this company. I had a major stoppage in my bathroom which caused flooding and water damage. I had another company come out prior to Michael and Son as they were dispatched through the home warranty I have. This other company did not fix the issue after 2 visits. On the 3rd visit they informed me that they would have to dig up a pipe in my finished basement to resolve the problem. I was skeptical so I called Michael & Son for a second opinion. They came out the very next day. Within 5 minutes they were able to diagnose the problem and verified they there was absolutely no need to dig up anything. By the following day the problem, which turned out to be a freak accident connected to my recent roof replacement, was 100% resolved. Doug and Porfirio were those who came out and they were both knowledgeable and extremely professional. I couldn’t have asked for better folks to help me handle this stressful situation. I also thought their pricing was more than reasonable for all that they had helped me with. Despite my home warranty, I will be calling Michael & Son for all of my future plumbing needs (hopefully there aren’t many)! Thank you again for the great service and a special thank you to the two men who worked on my home.

The service was outstanding from top to bottom. I used an online scheduling system before Thanksgiving and scheduled on Friday. The steps and directions were super easy. I uploaded photos/videos of the purchased kitchen faucet (Optional) but highly recommended for the technician.I received text messages and emails for the scheduled service with the info of the technician and the tracking system for his arrival.Walter Boyle, a senior technician, was very kind and expert in his area.I highly recommend Michael & Son Services.

Did not like the service at all. Felt that technician was not knowledgeable enough to address the issue and trivialized and minimized my concerns. Likewise, work performed was EXTREMELY over priced. Was charged nearly $500 for two pieces of leak tape, and two valves. Exactly 12 minutes of work. Will not use your company again and definitely will never recommend.

Our tankless hot water heater stopped working. The 1st two companies we called wanted to replace the water heater for nearly $10k. Michael & Sons came out and diagnosed the problem and gave us 3 options. Since we are on well water and didn't have a filtration system they recommended a filter and water system set up and a hot water heater replacement due to the damage caused by sediment that was in our water. The water filter, softener, tankless hot water heater replacement and installation was less than the other two companies quoted just to replace the water heater. They installlwd the next day.No delay in getting parts or scheduling. The technician was very knowledgeable, very honest and not pushing their services. Highly recommend the company and the technician.

I lost water pressure in my tub on Thanksgiving day. I contacted Michael & Son the next day. The dispatcher gave me a 12 to 4 window but when I explained to her I wanted to do some Black Friday shopping she offered me a 2 to 6 window. So awesome! The technician was there by 3. He was very polite, very knowledgeable when assessing the problem and completed the repair in a timely manner. He answered several questions I asked throughout the repair and kept me aware of what he was doing at all times. Great experience!

First time Michael and Son came out they were over 2 hrs late. Diagnosed the problem in 15 mins said they ordered the part but then it went missing, found the part rescheduled but then the day of the appointment over a hour late from the windows calls to say they don’t have the part. It’s been two weeks and haven’t heard anything.

The cost is not acceptable just for trouble shooting. This should have been explained prior to me paying $70. I intend to file a complaint with CPA because I feel that the $70 should cover something or some of the cost of troubleshooting. Very disappointed in how this transaction went down.

My appointment with M&S Services was scheduled at 3:30-6:00 PM on today but David came out close to 12:30 (3 hours earlier). What I originally wanted done was not within budget at this time but we agreed upon doing what was needed in the kitchen. He completed repairs to a couple of outlets that had wiring issues and replaced a few switches. The switches look so much better and the lighting works. I will definitely use them again for the lighting that didn’t get done.

Fixed a leak, pipe leading from house to sidewalk. Leak was at side walk. Did not affect inside house. Removed bathroom sink, added a new valve when old valve worked fine. Left us to put dry wall back. Put cut out in drywall to get to new valve. We had to put sink back.Filled sidewalk with dirt & rocks. 1st rain it collapsed. Called to have them come out. Response be out this week. No show. Called again be out today. No show. Called 3 times. Be out this week to refill with gravel. No show. Side walk had sat like this for 4 weeks. It is a hazard for people walking or car pulling into driveway over it. I called concrete company to come fix. 5 weeks later I still do not know if Michael & Sons plans to come out or if they ever did.The employees here who did the work were very professional, nice & hard working. But do not know why they had to do work in bathroom. Leave us to fix everything. Then never show to fix problem that was their fault. Thankfully Baltimore County let us use their caution cones.

Water heater was replaced on xmas eve afternoon Mechanic was very pro and swift We highly recommend!! Finished between 3 to 4 hours by himself and had to go to Home Depot to purchase!! Highly recommend with a12 yr warranty!!❤

Toilet plunger broke fixed in a matter of minutes knew exactly what he was doing and I had a couple other little problems that I wasn't prepared for anybody that really handle and he told me very candidly how easy they were to fix and they were he was very polite and clean

A few months ago, we called for some plumbing service and one of the things they performed was replacement of a P trap under a sink in the basement. That work was done for approximately $400, and everything seemed good until the P trap FELL OFF last night while washing a load of laundry which drains into the sink, flooding the basement.I called again this morning to have someone come out and fix the faulty repair that was done, and was told that they do not have any guarantee beyond 30 days on their work, even if it was an obvious result of the original work. It would have to be discussed with the technician, so rather than risk being charged even more just to have someone come out and fix this, I will fix it on my own and this company has unfortunately lost a customer.Edit: After speaking and working with Maurice at customer relations, he sent out a plumber right away to fix the issue and ensured that we were happy customers, so I'm changing the rating back up. Thanks to Maurice and company for making things right!

He also provided a separate invoice for options that I wanted to decide on later. He did a really good job installing a water heater that I provided. He also replaced aging/stuck valves around the house. He provided an understanding of some plumbing issues around the house. All in all, it was a pleasure having him be the one to service my home today. Thanks Josh!!

Tech arrived on time. Diagnosed problem as a cracked water filter housing. Provided estimate to replace $1,100. Took a total of 3 hours. Part cost $40 dollars. Not happy with the price. They knew they had me over a barrel, on a Sunday, no water, Sr citizens, etc. Should have booked a motel and waited until Monday. On line estimates were less than 1/2 for a scheduled replacement. My Bad.

Juan was great at solving our main water valve which wouldn't turn off all the way. He was able to fix the snapped off metal water line on floor to commode. Our water company wasn't able to shut off the supply this evening and will be out tomorrow to turn it off so Michael and Son can install a new valve for better operation tomorrow. Juan set up and scheduled an appt the following day to complete the job. He was polite, receptive and explained everything that needed to be done.

Apparently, the night it quit, she either had a low or high voltage surge causing a wire to burn up. We asked if they had the surge protection system and he had the equipment on his truck. He installed it and went over and checked everything associated to her system! Great job by Omar! Very professional and knowledgeable! She actually set up a service contract with this company now. This is the 2nd time they have repaired her unit. This way we know it will be serviced and ready for each season change!

I had a frozen pipe in my basement that burst on Christmas morning. Michael & Son was very responsive. The technic Charlie that arrived put me at ease. He was able to quickly repair the burst pipe and restore water use in the house. He also was able to reach out to a colleague and had water remediation at my home within a couple hours. My basement is now dry and ready for full repair. I recommend this business. Service 10 out of 10!!

The technician Bruce Walker was prompt, courteous, and professional. He called the technical support team of the manufacturer of our water heater and above and beyond to make sure he solved the problem when others might have given up and tried to sell us a new unit. My kitchen sink was clogged with cooked rice. Michael was very knowledgeable and clear my drain in no time. He also educated me in future up keep of clean drains.

Quick to come out but over all not pleased. The toilet at my rental house was constantly running. I had the same problem last year, a contractor came out and replaced the toilet for about $300. Michael and son quoted me $380 to replace the parts, or $575 to replace the it. When I questioned the price discrepancy, I found him to be overall pushy and unprofessional. His justification was that Michael and Son is a large company, and so you just pay more with the bigger company (I personally pay more for quality service and not just because the company has a bigger market share, but I digress). He added that the costs was also due to the use of premium parts. I told him that I was OK with the builder grade materials, but he said that Michael and Son won’t install that “junk”. As not to inconvenience my tenants any longer, I went ahead and agreed to fixing it- However, I will not use Michael and Son in the future. Because it costs so much just to get them to come out to your house for an estimate ($70), I think they are very comfortable inflating their prices once they are out there. Oh, and despite my request, they discussed the charges/costs with my tenants which is never appropriate.

I called to have a new bath tub faucet installed in my master bath, I told the associate it was a stand alone tub and I had purchased my own faucet . She set the appointment. A technician showed up at the correct time. He then told me he was sent to install a shower faucet. I said that's not what I asked for. I asked if he could do the job and he said he had to call and get a price. After about 15 minutes on the phone he came back to tell me that it would be $1400 to do the job. They still made me pay the fee ( even though I asked them to waive it) I got the faucet installed for $450 from another plumber. Big difference in price. This company is a rip off. Never use them.

I made the appointment and they got someone out here the same morning, which was awesome.Walter the technician was very nice,professional and efficient, had to replace the water shutoff valve to the toilet and replaced everything inside the toilet. In and out of here in a little over a hour. Very good service and overall experience, if i experience anymore plumbing issues i will definitely call Michael & Sons back!

I was able to get an appt within 24 hours. Adam White provided the service. He could not have been better. Great explanations and suggestions. Complete instructions after the repairs were made. And even nice to my dog! Who can ask for anything more?

Plumber removed old utility sink, along with some piping and old shutoff values and replaced with new customer supplied sink and faucet, and new shutoff valves. Work was done efficiently and with high quality and he cleanly explained the steps along the way and any choices we needed to make on parts (e.g., shutoff valves). Prior to this, appointment making was very easy and there was good communication between the customer and the company. Plumber arrived within the promised window and called ahead as promised. Overall a very positive experience.

On December 6 I called the customer service department to set up an appointment. I was told the earliest they can come out was on December 7th between 10:30 AM and 1 PM. I agree to the time and made the appointment. On December 7th I've received a phone call at 11:10 AM stating that the plumber was running behind on the previous job, as it was taking longer to complete. At 11:36 Ami received a text message stating that electrician would come to an address in virginia, on Thursday December 9th. I called the customer service department back and explained to them what had happened. After a brief wait, I was told to ignore the message and that it would not happen again. My phone number would be removed from this message. At 1 PM I call customer service back wanting to get an eta on the plumbers arrival. I was told that the plumber would call me when he was finished the job that he was at. At 1:36 PM received a phone call from the plumber standing he'd be there in 15 to 20 minutes. At 2:05 PM the plumber arrived and I showed him what work had to be done. I had a leaky faucet and a running toilet that had to be repaired or replaced. I was told that it would be easier to replace the faucet than to repair it. The costs to replace the faucet was $620, the costs for the repair was $305. The cost for the running toilet to be repaired was $268. I agreed to the repair of the toilet. It took the plumber roughly a 1/2 hour to replace everything and get the toilet to work. Lal was the plumber's name, He was excellent and professional the entire time he was here and I believe he did an excellent job in repairing the toilet. This is my 1st time using Michaels and son, My wife had used this service previously before I moved in. I would say for the money I spent on the repair the toilet was a little expensive and the cost for your new faucet or the repair was a little too much. If you don't mind spending a little more money for the work to be done, I would recommend this service for you.

Michael's and sons have always been there for whatever issue arises. First time I called them was because the water main to my house broke... in freezing weather... at 11pm. They ce within an hour of me calling them. Their staff is friendly and polite. I've been a member for years now, and every time it has been a different staff member, but every single one has been able to help and put me at ease. I highly recommend them.

We called Michael & Son Services to have them come out and repair a leaky water main. They said they would come out and fix the pipe and come by the following day without a service charge. We would of course need to pay for the repair. We agreed - however, they didn't even send a technician out. We found out when we called them hours later when that they wouldn't do the work because the hole was already dug - a fact we explained to them several times when we made the appointment and that they led us to believe wouldn't be a problem.We took time off work to be here for this appointment, and we still have water spilling into our yard. It's a waste of water, and it's impacting our water bill. We could've had a different company come out and fix it by now if they had just been up front with us from the start.This company left a disabled veteran out to dry, committed to work they couldn't actually do, then bailed on it without communicating properly or even showing up for the work. This cost me hundreds of dollars personally in both time and water, and now we are stuck scrambling to find someone who can come by at almost 5pm on a weeknight. This company is beyond unprofessional and they do not care about you or your home. Go do business literally with anyone else you can find in your area.

The technician who arrived at my house was very friendly but they were going to charge $357 to change a very basic kitchen faucet. That is a very unfair price for an hour of work in my opinion so I hired someone to take care of it for less than half the price.

Al was great, professional, and very courteous. Unclogged my kitchen drain and runs great now. Have only one concern, yesterday I was looking for another thing in the basement and went into an area where the main drain was that the kitchen pipe was connected to, the floor there was wet and in some spots very wet. SO today when I get home from work, after two showers taken this morning, I want to see if the wet spot grew or shrunk. Will be in touch if it grew?????

They charged me more than what was quoted once they came to my home. And left without being able to tell me what was wrong with my boiling unit. They just charged me and left me with the same problem I called them for. Told me just wait until it breaks than they can tell what I need to do.

After being told that I'd have to wait more than a week to get on the schedule, on the day of the appointment I got no confirmation call or text but waited patiently. When almost 2 hours past arrival time and no call or tech - I called to find out where the electrician was and what time he would arrive. Placed on a loooooong hold then told my appointment had been moved to next Thursday of the following week. No call, no checking to see if the day or time worked for my schedule and no notification.I wouldn't bother calling this unprofessional company again. And I would tell everyone one I know the same. What a complete waste of my time and completely disrespectful. Keep looking, there are better options than these guys.

Called to schedule for a service call to find, what I thought may be a possible drip. Customer service was very polite and courteous, explained services that they offered and got me the earliest time available. Had someone not far from me, and was scheduled for someone to show up within the hour. Technician, Porfirio Argueta, called me within 10 minutes of me hanging up from customer service and gave me an eta of 20 minutes to my home. When he arrived,was very courteous, respectful, professional and very patient with answering my questions. He followed full Covid protocol ( mask, gloves, and even wore protectors on his shoes to protect our home. I was able to replicate the concern I had, and was assured that what I was hearing was routine with the newer plastic piping I have in the home. I don't think that I could have asked for a more professional tech than Porfirio. I really appreciated his promptness, thoroughness in his explanations, and patience and professionalism. Whole experience, from phone call to tech experience was less than 2 hours. Will def use again for services.

My experience today was by far the most professional experience I have had with Michael &Sons. The last time the technician was at my home, my family just lost my grandfather. At the time we didn’t have the keys so that the technician could check the gated AC units. Today they where there for a heat inspection and I explain to the technician what happened the last time and without a shadow of doubt he said no problem. Even though it was not on his order to do it today, he was able to check everything . Our technician Tavon Gayle not only went above and beyond but also send his condolences to me and my family. Just one act of kindness goes a long way.

Making an appointment with Michael and Son was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. I was able to make my appointment online which was easy and convenient. Might I add i was able to make my appointment for the same day. The technician that was assigned was Stephen. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly. This is a good company and overall I would recommend them for any needs.The 4 stars is just for this particular service call and is not a 5 star review for two reasons.1. I booked an emergency after hours service call which was canceled later in the day. I had to wait until the following day for an issue I was willing to pay extra to fix same day.2. I thought the price was a little steep for replacing outdoor outlets. (averaged out to about $200 an outlet parts & labor)The Good was that the service tech was nice and did good work. The work he did adding a breaker and outlet for a dedicated FIOS power supply was just what I needed.

Our 20-plus year old gas furnace died suddenly in Jan. 2023. The only solution was to replace the HVAC system. We received four estimates and chose to go with Michael & Son. While their proposal wasn't the cheapest, it was the best value in terms of the quality of the system and its efficiency rating, which is all important. Plus they included duct cleaning for free. I'm sure that has never been done in our 35+ year old house, so it was a welcome value add. Once we accepted the offer, the company arrived the next morning and installed the system, a 10 hour job. Other companies said it would take 2-5 days before they could begin the work, not a pleasant prospect since we had no heat. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The system is up and running flawlessly and the warranty is industry standard.

Moreover, as a consumer paying not a fan of the repair person telling me the importance of safety and irreplaceable. Overall feel the price was insanely high and would encourage anyone reading this review to consider alternative options before reaching out to Michael and Son.Specifically, the repair individual replaced gas pipe approximately 8 feet of metal gas piping with a flexible steel gas hose. The cost for ten feet of piping is $44.98 at Home Depot. There is something inherently wrong with systems when this is considered a fair price. However, after three days without heat, there are rarely good options. If you have a chance, go with another provider.

We spent 2 days dealing with clogged sink drain in our kitchen and cleaning up water overflowing into our laundry room below. It was a mess! these guys are a scam. i needed to replace a spigot and a fix a leak in the shower. they estimated the job at $1900, i got it done for $200 from a licensed plumber. pls never use these guys ever. they are a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you get quoted a 400% markup on a job where the best part costs a maximum of $550 and replacement of it takes no more than 30 mins (quoted over $2200 to replace a sewage ejector pump) that is no longer a reasonable or understandable markup in price of doing business but outright ROBBERY of consumers!! If you want to be robbed, use Michael & Sons

I would highly recommend Michael & Son for plumbing work. I had two drains cleared, water main replaced, and new tub spout done yesterday. Josh was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining what needed to be done and efficiently performing the work. Afterward I could not even tell he had been here. There was no mess. My water heater broke down. I called couple companies at night and only Michael & Son scheduled appointment for next day. Ted came and replaced my old water heater since 1996 year. Ted is very professional. Work done excellent. He explained me everything and differences between 50 and 80 gallons. The huge plus he has everything in his car and I didn’t need schedule another appointment for setting all up. Another plus I have 1 year guarantee on work and 6 years on tank. If something happened with tank during 6 years Michael & Son will take care and will contacted with manufacturer by themselves. Ted saved my comfort in life and now I can celebrate new year with hot water. Thank you very much for highly professional service!

I needed a new HVAC system and bought a top of the line system, with accompanying warranty, from Michael & Son. Nearly every year the system breaks down and needs a new control panel. I question how well the system was installed, with wires popping out everywhere. At the moment, I have no A/C, and the earliest emergency appointment Michael & Son is offering is 10 days from now. I would NEVER purchase a system from Michael & Son ever again. It's the worst purchase I've ever made.

Micheal and son were here 5 minutes ahead of schedule, tech was professional and personable. He diagnosed my system, discovered I needed a new thermostat. I thought it was a little pricey, but he had one in the truck ( basic model-the simpler the better for me) didn't try to sell me a fancy one. The tech answered all my questions, and even looked up vent blowers for my upstairs vents. He had it diagnosed and installed the thermostat in about 40 minutes. Have used Micheal and son before, and was happy.

I reached out to them concerning a less then suitable maintenance they performed on a 92 year old widowed woman’s system, after putting me on hold they came back and said they couldn’t not speak to me about it, i asked them to reach out to her and they said she could call in and request an appointment or a reschedule, with that said I advised them if they didn’t make the situation right I would post the photos of the lack luster service, and again I was told they couldn’t speak with me, so as promised here are the photos, i would have much rather put a review stating they are a company that stands behind their work, but they wouldn’t even try to understand their shortcomings UPDATE…. yesterday M&S response to my review as you can see, so I reached out to them and the young lady I spoke with was incredibly friendly and very apologetic and wanted to make the situation correct, via a 3way call she reached out the the 92 yr old lady and scheduled a return visit for next week, I will upload new photos when the visit is complete, in the meantime I am very impressed at how fast they responded to my post and want to make the situation correct,

They were at my house less than 24 hours and Michael and Son’s friendly technician had the correct replacement on his truck and upgraded us from 40 to 50 gallons. It was easy to book an appointment, and they even called me a week early to offer a sooner appointment because there was a cancellation. I also received a courtesy call the day of to let me know that my service person was running late. Definitely appreciated that. Once here, Kevin was quick, professional, and communicative. It was just a diagnostic visit, but I now feel confident about their future visit. Kevin wasn't out the door ten minutes when I received a copy of my invoice as well as the estimates for the recommended work in my email. So nice.

The technician was very friendly and professional. Unfortunately the pricing by the company is astronomical. It was $1400 for hooking up a faucet and garbage disposal. Ridiculous. Did not use them. And I was planning to use them for electrical as well. But that will not be happening.

I was able to get an estimate and appointment in a matter of 2 days. The technicians were knowledgeable, explained what they were doing & reassuring I knew how to work the new system. They were also very friendly & tolerant of my dogs. Great experience & I would use them again.

My AC was taking longer to cool my house so I calling Michael & Son, the Technician Conor started troubleshooting my AC unit by saying it might be 1 or three things wrong, the Capacitor, the compressor or No Freon. He checked the pressure and said the Freon is good, tried checking the capacitor and mentioned he has no new capacitor in his truck, so how you come to a job with no parts in your truck? So he go to the truck with my capacitor and come back with an another capacitor and tried testing the capacitor no luck, goes back to the truck and come back with another device saying if the issue is the capacitor the device he is using will take the place of the capacitor, if it works then he’ll charge me 275$ for testing with that device, huh are you serious. He said okay the device didn’t catch so my capacitor is not the problem that most definitely had to be my compressor. So he said really they is nothing else he can do for me. So he charge me and schedule a team to give me an estimate for a new compressor. Now my fan is not working at all what happened exactly. Maybe he was tired from all the job and just wanted to go home then don’t book me as the last customer for the day. Smh. But Thankfully the manager called me and sent over an experience tech, Mohan to fix my AC issue, Mohan had a new Capacitor installed and checked everything and all is working great.

Great service from Michaels and son and Sherman the plumber was wonderful. I had two plumbers that were busy and lend the plumber canceled on me after I waited all day and Dawn fit me in with Michael's and sons so thank you so much it wasn't a big job it was just to replace the inside of the tank on the toilet but it meant a lot to me that it was done today thank you so much Garland I will have you come again and put in a sink in the bathroom as soon as I pick it out.

For a regular HVAC maintenance visit: Keith arrived as expected, I had a text saying he was on the way. Shoe covers on, mask, etc. Keith was very professional, efficient and polite. Recommend.

Lal, the technician was on time. He looked at the problem and gave us pricing immediately. He was able to replace the pipe broken right then and there, worked quickly and was very professional. He made me aware of the whole process and was extremely helpful!

I am very disappointed with the service I paid for. My gas furnace kicked a flame rollout safety switch and would not stay running on Christmas Night. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day (Saturday) from 4-6pm. The technician didnt arrive until 5:55pm that night. Within 2minutes of being there, without even looking into or hearing me explain the issue yet, he decided to tell me that my high efficiency natural gas furnace was almost 16years old and because life expectancy is 18-20, I probably just need a whole new furnace... next after pulling the covers and letting the furnace run about 5min, he said if he cant recreate the issue, he cant fix anything. Even though he came to the unit with a tripped switch, evidence of flame rollout and a leaking collector box. After asking to stay a bit longer as he had only been here 10min, he decided to give his advice and recommend I just bypass the safety switch by putting a fuse in place. A task in which he wasnt allowed to do but I could as the homeowner...Ultimately I ended up doing about 10min of research on google, found related symptoms and the probable causes. Found the issue to be a clogged secondary heat exchanger. $22 worth of parts shipped directly to my door and me doing the work the tech either didnt understand or just wouldn't do, and my family has been good to go.. no thanks to the $90 I shelled out for literally no help whatsoever.

Michael & Son is a great company that prides themselves on being professional, responsive and knowledgeable. Bruce, the plumber was able to diagnose our leak in our bathroom and fixed it in a timely manner. He was also a great communicator as he took time to explain the problems and solutions to my husband. We are very satisfied!!

Mike was a great tech, very knowledgeable when it comes to electrical issues. I would recommend.

They always come within the day and time frame specified, technicians always personable and explanations of services performed clear.

The only concern I have is that he did not clean up the mess he made. Debris fell on top of the gas dryer under where he was working and he left it

I woke up to water leaking into my bathroom over the weekend and by Monday morning someone was here addressing it. The Mitigation team, led by Breona, and including Chris, were amazing, taking detailed photos and doing everything necessary to make this an easy experience. I’m so grateful for their friendly demeanors, and patience answering my many questions, scheduling additional plumbers and assistance when issues arose and taking care of everything (and being great with my dog!). Will use again (though I hope to not need them for this again!!)

The man sent to install a new electrical box was polite but when I was advised that the drywall would need to be opened a little larger to accommodate the size of the larger electrical box...I DIDN'T EXPECT HIM TO PUNCH THE WALL TO OPEN THE AREA. I was informed prior to destruction that he would not repair the wall but if it had been done with an appropriate tool that would have been preferreable. The light fixture is not flush with the drywall and I can only hope that when the drywall is repaired that the light will hang straight.. He didn't clean up after himself; just left the drywall and dust for me. For this pleasure I paid $187! He worked for literally 7 minutes. I had to ask him to open the wire and strip the wires for me so that I could attach the light fixture myself. If I had wanted him to connect the light fixture it would have cost $305. Very unhappy with the outcome!

Five years ago I had a new outside waterline installed. Where it connected to the county line it was not replaced at the same time. Which it probably should have been. The line broke right where the new line connected to the old line. And my water pressure was never what it should’ve been after that repair. You sent Michael out he did a pressure test on the line. He found that we only have 50 pounds of pressure on the inside line. So he made a couple of adjustments now the pressure is excellent. Thanks for being a good company that stands behind their work. Will definitely use you in the future.

Exterior light installation. The technician (Hank) was excellent! He was very thorough and clearly explained each step of the project. We are very pleased with the lighting and would highly recommend this company and especially this technician!
