We had flooding from toilet and shower drain in our bathroom. Called them late Saturday night and were able to schedule someone for early Sunday morning. We will definitely be using Genteel again for any plumbing services!

The gentlemen who came to fix it was very professional, nice and friendly. He fixed the problem quickly, efficiently and with no issues.

These guys are great. I called them late at night after several failed attempts to get a hold of other 24 hour companies and was able to get a friendly lady on the phone right away. They sent a tech over and did not up-charge due to late hour. They even offered to bill my landlord as long as I signed for invoice. Easy and smooth service all around. Highly recommended!

Discount Plumbing is awesome. I was in the middle of an open house with a clogged kitchen sink (not pretty) Fred fixed it up in a snap. He double checked his work and most important he left the place spotless. Highly recommend!

The best trades person I have ever met. I personally worked in the trades for 10 years and have worked with a lot of contractors as house and grounds manager over the past 15 years at out church. Andres is unique in the trades field based on his honesty, clear explanation of the complication and sharing a number of choices to help me make a decision. J.E. Brown doesn't care what the SF Rent Board heating requirements are for buildings with controlled heating. Perhaps they're trying to save the owner some money on heating costs, but they're also creating the risk of the owner getting fined by the City Housing Inspector for violating the code.

J.E. Brown provides the heating at a building that I'm a tenant at, and they're constantly adjusting the timer so that it doesn't meet the City's code. I actually overheard a J.E. Brown employee, Al, say to my building manager that the City requires the heat to be turned on for 13 hours a day, be he knows a way to get around that. It's despicable that he's constantly meddling with my right to a heated apartment, and he's been very rude the times that I've talked to him. When I called their main phone number and spoke to a woman that worked for them, she argued with me about what the heating requirements are, even though I was reading exactly what was on stated on the SF Rent Board website. Then she told my building manager that I bullied her.

I've lived in other buildings with controlled heating, and I've never had to fight so hard to get sufficient heating because of J. E. Brown.

Of the plumbers we got quotes from, the were not only reasonably priced, but prompt, responsive, and clear in explaining the rationale between the work they do and don't recommend. Several other plumbers recommended more drastic work, but they respectfully disagreed and told us why. I respect that honesty and professionalism and would recommend them.
