One of the better experiences I had when finding remodeling contractors. John was very involved and remarkable commitment to quality service. The rustic floor that I was aiming for, John knocked out of the park. The investment was worth it and makes my whole interior have that high-end feel/look.

Vinny is the best in the valley for hardwood floor refinishing. I had other companies come bid the job and could tell they only cared about my money. Vinny gave me advice, suggestions and really made me feel like he cared about my floor like it was his own. The end result is gorgeous and we couldn't be happier. Don't use anyone else.

Our sales person was Omar Rivera. He walked us through every step of the way, and let us know the positives and negatives of different flooring that could be used in our 3200 square-foot house. We ended up going with the 8 x 36” tile that resembles wood. Jorge Was our installer and did a fantastic job. They met every mile stone and guideline we had requested from them. They not only did our flooring but they did our three bathrooms as well. I would recommend Floor Source to anyone interested in getting value in a timely manner. The work was incredible!

There’s no other name in my mind when someone asks me for recommendation of flooring services. It has been and will always be Arizona Hardwood Floor. After my home renovation, studio is the next place to get that instant wow-factor.

My complex uses this company to replace carpets in the units. They showed up a day early unannounced, left before I could get home from work, and never came back on the day they were scheduled. We were scheduled for them to come on a weekend and when we called they said they are closed. This company is very unprofessional and inconvenient.

Alan and his team reflect what it means to be professional, ethical and integrity driven! Jonathan was a great sales person and Home Solutionz was hired. He helped me try to match the wood in other rooms and I decided. The process went smoothly and deposits were made, wood and glue purchased. I was contacted by Nahn, the project manager letting me know when the installers would arrive and they were on time and precise. Max and Fabian did a great job and left the site meticulous. I only hope that all of my remodel ideas are executed as easily. Communication is the key to success and they have it.

Our experience with Handyman Connection was outstanding. Jonathan was professional and capable. We had several jobs for him and he approached each one with a positive attitude. We have a few more needs coming up, and we will be calling them again.

Had different typed, which a lot of them don't.

I used Desert Coatings (DC) to do painted concrete flooring throughout our house back in August or September of 2017. The flooring consisted of a total of approximately 1,700 square feet of flooring. The house that this work was done at was a vacation house at the time, so I wasn’t there to supervise the work when it was done. Other work was being done at the house by another contractor at the same time. Overall, the final finished floor was okay, but there were some things I wasn’t happy about.

During their install process I received a call from my general contractor that the flooring installers had gotten cement material all over the newly painted doors and baseboards. I called DC and they gave me a $700 credit to have the doors and baseboards fixed and repainted. After the flooring job was done, I came out to the house and discovered that the workers had spilled concrete in various spots on my newly painted patio cool deck. I was able to power wash some of it away, but some still remains to this day.

In a bedroom some tile had to be removed and DC had to use a self-leveling concrete to even out the floor, as well as raise a portion to make it level with the rest of the room. When I was able to come out and look at the flooring, I noticed that this area was very wavy and had bumps in some spots. I called DC and they came out and applied another coat, which improved it, but the finish still wasn’t smooth flat in the end.

In the living room they had to fill the entire room with about 2-3 inches of concrete to fill the void left by removing the existing wood underlayment that was previously used to build up the floor. Where this new poured concrete met the existing concrete, a crack developed about 6-12 months later, which caused the paint to chip away. There were a couple other cracks that developed too. I called DC and they sent someone out to fix it. The repair consisted of them applying more paint over the cracked area. The repair ended up not being flush with the rest of the finish, and the color did not match the rest of the flooring. This crack is in a prominently noticeable area of the house too.

Fast forward to 2020-2021, the crack reappeared and the paint began to crack and chip away again. I didn’t call DC right away because I still was not living in the house full time yet. After moving in full time, the chipping away became worse from walking over the area. I called DC twice in August 2022 (8/25 & 8/29), both times reaching an answering service. They said they would pass the message along and someone would call me by the next day. No one called me back. After the second call I decided to start emailing them (9/1/22). The first email response I got was that Tom Allen (the owner) was out of state that week, so I waited about two weeks and emailed them again (9/14). I received an email back (9/16) stating that they were on vacation and would call me back when they returned. I waited a month and did not receive a response, so I emailed again (10/17/22) and received no response. I emailed a final time (10/27/22) and again no response.

In addition to the above there are a few spots here and there that I wasn’t happy with – under the kitchen island (uneven finish and sheen), a few wavy uneven spots here and there throughout the house. I didn’t write a review at the time, because I just figured I’d live with it as is, but now that I can’t get a response from them, or have them come out to do the repair, I’m writing a response now.

I do not recommend and would not use Desert Coatings again (I felt this way before the lack of response, but even more so now), especially if you’re looking for a high-end finish. I have since read other reviews where they do not respond to follow up calls for repairs when needed.
