A few years ago, we had several significant cracks in the plaster walls and ceilings of our 1910 Craftsman bungalow. Rod with Homework Remodels was able to fix them all in one day and even now we can't tell where his patchwork starts and ends. Having a 100+ year old home in Phoenix, we're always looking for true craftsmen that will respect the style and idiosyncrasies of older houses and not just do the quick and easy fix. Thanks, Rod!

We decided to remodel instead of moving so we totally upgraded our showers using Dreamstyle. The design and materials are fantastic. Most importantly, the installation process was the best we have had with any company so far. The installers, Eugene U and Brandon O, were extremely courteous and professional. They provided ample information on what they were doing, offered suggestions and recommendations, cleaned up thoroughly each day, and were overall very pleasant to work with.They did a great job and were outstanding. Would recommend these two without hesitation.Thanks to them, we are very pleased and confident we made the right choice to remodel with Dreamstyle!

The TWD team was just exceptional! They went above and beyond to make our space look infinitely better than it did before they arrived. We'll certainly use TWD for other projects in the future.

LENGTH OF TIME QUOTED TO COMPLETE JOB - 45 days
LENGTH OF TIME IT TOOK TO COMPLETE JOB - 171 days

Timeliness: Demo began 9/10/18 and job was not complete until 2/27/19. We went days/weeks where no one showed up to work on the house. After they cut a post tension line, the project sat for over 2 weeks with nothing being done!

Craftsmanship: 90% of the trades they sent over were excellent! They did great work, had great attitudes, and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. The completed work looks great!

Planning: To give a few examples - the flooring guys came over to install, but there was no flooring dropped off the night before install. Drywall guys showed up, but city inspection was not signed off, so drywall could not be done. Anytime a trade leaves, they move onto another job, and yours gets pushed back again!

Communication: HHI will only call you when they are looking for another payment. Other than that, you will need to call them to get an idea when to expect someone at your home to do any work. They use an online tool/portal called Buildertrend and Faztimate. Buildertrend will notify you when your job is rolled back, you will then need to call HHI and ask why. Both systems I find difficult to use. I have requested HHI email me info, but they refuse, and direct me to their portal.

Cost: Lets just say they wrote an allowance for a custom door at less than $300. When they sent someone out to measure the door, I was quoted $5700.00. When I pushed back, I was told Oh yeah, thats Frankie, he is expensive. So they sent another person out that quoted $1100.00. . . . . . . . .

Professionalism: The owners don't have the first idea what this is! They take no responsibility and point fingers at the customer nonstop. They send snarky text messages and even threaten to sue you!
For example, final door was painted on 2/27, and Brandon emailed me that evening stating Here is the copy of the late bill you owe. How am I late paying you when you just finished the job a few hours ago?? I have asked both Danny Holtzman and Brandon Holtzman to email me a breakdown of charges, to reflect changes made and credits, but am told we have already credited everything we are going to credit. After telling Brandon I would be going to ROC, YELP, and news stations for help, he threatened to sue me. He made it clear he has a team of attorneys, so it's not an issue for him.

Now the job is done, but I have no clear answer on what the balance truly is. Danny and Brandon have not sent me an itemized summary showing corrections and credits, and claim they don't need to supply it to me either. As of my last phone call with Brandon, he is busy with his kids sporting events, isn't in front of a computer all day, and will look into it later. I just want to pay what I truly owe, and move on with my life!

Paul was great! We worked with Neoteric Builders to remodel a kitchen in a home we recently purchased. He is trustworthy, his prices were fair, he was knowledgeable, and responsive, and worked quickly. He left the job site clean and he worked with us to give us the kitchen of our dreams. We made an appointment with Keith, to come give an estimate to remove old granite and replace with new quartz kitchen countertops. He was so friendly, helpful, funny and courteous. Keith’s estimate to do the work was much better than all others. Every time I had a question, I would either text or call Keith and he was willing to help right away. We decided to go ahead and choose our quartz slabs at MSI through Keith. The process was very simple and smooth. We even had enough quartz from our 2 slabs, so decided to add a new counter to a 2nd bath. Javier and two others came to do the demo and install, they worked quickly and efficiently and did a GREAT JOB. We are VERY pleased and HAPPY having our work done by Serrano’s Surfaces. Our countertops look FABULOUS. Thank you Keith and Javier for working with us. We will highly recommend you to all.

Just being honest...Staff walked out in the middle of our project. Our counter tops were lost, but after our own phone calls they were found. The cabinets are terrible construction. Measurements taken wrong leaving under floor exposed & used ugly trim to cover it. Ceiling raised & so uneven special trim had to be made. Wrong color cabinets installed. I was told its all in the lighting & that I signed off on the color which I did sign, but in planning we picked a color & told them that we absolutely did not want the color installed. Project took almost 1 year (11 months.) There were days that workers did not show up. We had to call to find out why. We were told many times, so & so would be here & after waiting all day, it would be another no show. We are just happy this is done. My husband will fix the small thing that need to be fixed.

They're meticulous and efficient and take care to make it look good, too. They did expert work, very detailed and cleaned up daily and was so nice and pleasant to work with.

We had Jacuzzi Bath Remodel of Arizona come out and quote a complete remodel of our existing walk in shower. The gentleman that did the quote was very polite and professional. The problems started when he gave the price of the remodel. I am always very leery of someone give you an non itemized price, and writes the information on a dry erase board. Reminds me of a call dealership. I was SHOCKED when I saw the exceeded $18,000. I had previously done some homework, and have a strong opinion that the job should be between $4,000 and $5,000. they even push the fact that the material had silver in it. Kind of like how people were pushing colloidal silver as a cure for COVID. Also if a contract runs ads on TV, guess whos paying for those ads? Anyone that hires them. In addition I asked for the quote to be emailed to me, and never received the quote.

We had Spicegirl Remodeling renovate our kitchen this summer. New floor, countertops, tiling, lots of painting. We are extremely pleased with how the kitchen came out. Ericka was awesome and did what was necessary to ensure a great outcome. As with just about any project of this nature there will be bumps along the way but it is how those bumps are dealt with that matters. Ericka was flawless in handling those bumps and we can't thank her enough. After several months everything is holding up beautifully. Her crew was also very professional and we enjoyed having them work in our home. I highly recommend them!

Recently, we had our master bathroom updated to something more innovative. With the upgrades, now we have a large walk-in shower with a jetted tub and a heated floor. We always wanted to have the feel of a luxury spa in our home. Additional storage was added under the sinks.
