Best Flooring Installation Services in Phoenix AZ

My wife and I purchased our Home, a Midcentury Modern built in 1955 by Ralph Haver in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. The Home had original ungrounded wiring with exposed wire splicing. There were also two rooms that were added by a previous owner without permits.

Ultimately, we wanted to fully restore our Home to its original character, while at the same time, installing all of the safety, amenities and conveniences found in homes of new construction today.

We interviewed a handful of contactors for this task, Steve Shinn from Homework Remodels being one of them. Steve immediately stood out from the group. We found him easy to talk to, prompt and extremely knowledgeable with the historic characteristics of our Haver Home.

With Steve’s help, we nearly rebuilt most of the major components of our Home. When it was said and done, we upgraded the entire wiring and electric panel, installed new HVAC main unit and ducting lines, replaced all of the plumbing lines (both supply and drain lines including the sewer), installed LED recessed lighting throughout the Home, constructed a stem wall, a trench drain and added mini split HVAC units which the City required for issuing permits for the two unpermitted rooms, installed a 16” slider to the backyard, utilized steel beams to remove loan bearing walls in order to open up the kitchen and the living rooms, installed a tankless water heater system, applied sprayed insulation in the small attic, and performed various other upgrades.

We are very happy with Steve’s work. We found Steve’s work to be of high quality and found Steve’s expertise and creativity in helping rebuild our Haver Home to be invaluable.

We plan on hiring Steve in the near future to complete Phase 2 of our Home, which will include all of the finishes.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with TWD. We hired them as our contractor for two guest bathroom remodels and a few other things that needed to be fixed in the house as well. I have had some terrible experiences with contractors before so even though I wanted to get the work done, I was extremely nervous about dealing with yet another general contractor. I had some personal recommendations, however, from friends and family who’d had great work done by TWD so I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with them to discuss the jobs.

My first contact was with Ron LaBrie, who is the Design Manager at TWD. Ron came to my home to look at the spaces and to get a feeling for what I wanted in terms of design so that he could prepare an estimate. From the very beginning, I felt extremely comfortable with Ron. He was personable and obviously very knowledgeable about products as well as a design expert. Unlike one of the other companies that I received an estimate from where they gave me a price on the spot, Ron did tell me he would need about a week, and that was fine with me because that showed that he was actually putting effort into the estimate and not just giving me a “blanket quote.” When I got the estimate back, I thought it was very fair, however there were a few places where I wanted to see if we could trim costs a bit. Everything was itemized and Ron was AMAZING at helping me find fantastic alternatives that would still look great while keeping us within our budget.

Once work started on my jobs, Eric Miller was in regular contact with me to let me know exactly what the schedule was and what I could expect at each stage of the project. TWD even has an online portal where you can log in and see the calendar as well as approve any work orders. Speaking of which, the only changes from the original estimate were extra things that I added on after work started. There were no surprises in terms of extra costs. What I was quoted was exactly what it cost. There were a few small delays due to materials issues but that was beyond TWD’s control and Eric went out of his way to make sure everything arrived as quickly as possible and even had some new tile ordered at no additional cost to me because he didn’t think the quality of what the manufacturer sent was up to the high standards you can expect from TWD.

We had drywall, plumbing, tile work, painting, electrical and granite work done and every one of TWD’s guys did beautiful work. The team was here every day on time and cleaned up each day before they left. Again, Eric was fantastic in that he stopped by to personally inspect the work on a regular basis as it was progressing and then again at the end of the job to make sure I was 100% satisfied with all the work that had been completed.

We can’t praise TWD enough. They not only did a beautiful job on our remodeling projects, but they made us feel like we could trust them completely. And we never heard “no.” It was only, “We’ll take care of it!” And they did. We will never need to look any further than TWD for any projects we may need done in the future. They do everything from minor drywall repairs to complete home remodels. No matter how big or small the job, you can be assured that TWD will do it beautifully, on time, and at a very competitive price. We would highly recommend TWD to anyone!

We needed a full house remodel and chose Holtzman Home Improvement over several other well-known contractors. We couldn’t be happier with the results. From the owners (Danny and Brandon) to all of their trade people they were all friendly, professional, and experienced. He was extremely responsive, immediately handled any issues and ensured that the project continued to move forward. Lastly, we could not have done ANY of the remodel without our wonderful designer Christina. Her design was simply beautiful and her help and support in choosing all of our cabinets, flooring, paint colors and all of the other necessities was a godsend. Holtzman is an outstanding company, and we wouldn’t hesitate to refer them to our family and friends!

Anthony was very responsive and did an amazing job with our Kitchen remodel. We are so happy with the results! From the minute we walked into his showroom we knew we were getting professional courteous service that was specific to what we wanted. We had to be very patient with selecting our quartz because many suppliers were out of stock due to issues with the pandemic. I currently work for Ben and finally found an employer that isn’t afraid or to good to bust his butt day in day out on the whole project with his employees! He is very meticulous, knowledgeable, and extremely accurate in all of his projects. He is the definition of a caring boss and professional businessman!... This company was recommended to me by someone who has used them in the past, and unfortunately I would not recommend this company to anyone. I contracted with Granite Transformations in April 2022 for kitchen and bathroom cabinet resurfacing, and was scheduled for the cabinet template/measurements almost 2 weeks ago, no one showed up for this appointment or called. I have been attempting to get this worked out since this time with no follow up. I have spoken to three people and sent two e-mails without anyone following up. The last person I spoke to told me she would look into this and gave me her direct number to contact her. I followed up with her after not hearing back for several days and have not heard back from her either. Because no one has followed up with me, I have no choice but to assume this company is taking the 50% deposit they require and has no intentions of fulfilling their contractual obligation. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I do understand things are difficult right now, but there is no excuse for the company not to follow up with a customer.

Custom Creative Remodeling truly exceeded my expectations! I relied on Haleigh for design since that’s not my forte, and I was very happy with and took her initial idea. The entire team was a pleasure to have working on my project. Jose did an amazing job on the herringbone tile work (there was a lot of it), Rudy kept the construction as tidy as possible, Manny painted everything beautifully and Jesus was very efficient and detailed with the electrical work. The quality of it all is just outstanding. This team finished the project on schedule and it’s everything I had wanted! I highly recommend!

Great place to get granite

We hired Maxum based on the relationship we developed with the designers Jerry & Brian who were very caring, professional and followed thru with all their commitments. We then waited several months for the work to start. We were told they wanted to wait to start until they had all the materials so there wouldn't be any delays once they started. Unfortunately that isn't what happened. They had some really bad subcontractors doing work on our house that were constantly making mistakes like taking out lighting that wasn't being replaced (even after we told them so), installing the wrong tile even after going over all the tile and instructions, building unlevel walls, etc. There was very little supervision of these idiots and when we complained to Maxum, we kept being told what great work they've done on other jobs. After several weeks of this, they finally acknowledged the bad work being done and brought in new guys that did know what they were doing but they didn't get very far since they ran out of tile replacing all the bad work that we had to wait 2 more weeks for them to get replacement tile.
The communication has been awful, they don't contact me until after repeated calls/ texts to them. We're never told in advance what's being done when, how long things are going to take, when we're getting our house back. It's been a very frustrating experience! I hope we will be happy with the results when/ if they finally get done. I don't know how they have managed to stay in business 20 years of they is how they operate. I don't recommend them at all.

Republic West built my garage addition better then I had hoped for. As my wife said it looks like it has always been a part of the house, and the price was the same as other builders with lesser design ideas.

Stronghold Remodeling brought our dreams and ideas to life. Trevor’s attention to detail and positive attitude was a joy to work with. Remodeling projects can be very stressful, however, not with Stronghold.

We contracted to remodel our master bath shower and were promised A LOT. Darrell and Todd showed up on time, explained very clearly what they were going to do, verified our preferences, kept us in the loop on challenges encountered, and performed a very good quality job. I do not live in the US at this time and in so all of our decisions, pictures ect. were done virtually. I was updated regularly. My bathroom has turned out beautifully. Highly recommend.
