Best New House in Phoenix AZ

A few years ago, we had several significant cracks in the plaster walls and ceilings of our 1910 Craftsman bungalow. Rod with Homework Remodels was able to fix them all in one day and even now we can't tell where his patchwork starts and ends. Having a 100+ year old home in Phoenix, we're always looking for true craftsmen that will respect the style and idiosyncrasies of older houses and not just do the quick and easy fix. Thanks, Rod!

Working with Maxum Design and Construction has been great. When I was worried my rain shower was not high enough Taylor and John came out within a half hour to discuss. Great response! Designs are awesome! ADA compatible; I have MS. I love the quality execution by construction crew led by James.

After Ben did a fantastic job remodeling our daughter's kitchen, we hired him to remodel our kitchen and great room. This project involved removing a fireplace as well as some walls, and replacing floor tile throughout. Ben was easy to work with and highly dependable. He coordinated with our kitchen designer and communicated with us every step of the way. We were very pleased with Ben and hope to hire him again in the future.

We had an unfortunate situation earlier this year - a slab leak under our kitchen sink - which forced us into doing a kitchen remodel as we lost half of our kitchen during the process of fixing the leak. We received a referral from someone else to contact Bret from Rise Above. When calling Bret, he said he would call me back as he was at another job, and returned my call within just minutes. He was super friendly and responsive. He came to our home to give an estimate in just a few days after my initial phone call. Bret was pleasant, informative and made us feel comfortable choosing his company to do the work. We had a complete kitchen makeover, including removal of a wall and raising the kitchen ceiling. We also had tile put throughout our whole house, aside from the bedrooms. Rise Above also remodeled both of our bathrooms. This was something we've never endured before - a complete overhaul of most of our home. We were nervous to spend the money and have our house completely torn up. We were completely satisfied with the work done to our home. I am a bit of a perfectionist and I felt they had the same care to detail that my husband and I have. They were friendly, responsive and never once made us feel pressured. I would highly recommend Bret, Skyler, Randy and Louis to do any work for you.

UPDATE: After install was delayed twice because of the lack of communication between the salesman and install department, they didn't bother to call us on the rescheduled day, we had to contact them. We were rescheduled for the next day. They send someone over with zero direction after being promised 'their best guy'. Now this guy tells us it's really a two man job!! What a joke these people are! ?

Buyer beware MAJOR INSTALLATION ISSUES - The lack of communication - we leave a message and a week later, still no response on the completion of the installation, the OUTRIGHT LIES and endless excuses from the installation department and the fact that they got their money (required for cabinet delivery to be paid in full) so now we are at their mercy is why there is a one star. Everything's great upfront when they are selling you your cabinets but after they get their money the customer service goes right out of the window. It puzzles me to see a 4.8 rating...

We like the fact that this was a family owned business. The owners are so professional. We received calls from Judy asking how are project was going and always made sure we were happy. If there were any issues or if she could help with anything along the way. Their employees are top notch. Each one of them took care of our home like it was there own. clean and professional in every way. The workmanship and quality you wont find better any were. Robert Davis (West Haven Builders) has done several remodeling projects in our home for my husband and I. Each job was completed just as we had hoped and asked for. We had seen some of his previous work in other satisfied customers homes and knew we wanted him to help us. His estimates and quotes were very reasonable. He never promised something he couldn't do. He stayed within the estimates and went above and beyond to ensure we were pleased with the job. Each employee has been easy to work with and very accomodating with my schedule, my needs and even helped me with a demo problem outside of the electrical scope of work. Wasted over 6 months of time and money. Dion is a terrible communicator and doesn't follow though on anything he says he will do. Doesn't respond to any form of communication. (Even email which he claims is his preferred way and has an assistant. Paid almost $3k for plans and it took 4 months for them to do anything with them and get them approved. Two months later we are still trying to get him to commit to starting the project. Glad we aren't out $40k and have an unfinished project. Do not be tricked by this guy. Dion did not respond to each and every text and email I sent. I would be happy to provide screen shots of my text threads to prove it. You can lie all you want but we all know the truth. Check his other reviews, We are not the first customers that he has done this to.

I have used XLT Construction for several projects. The latest was to install new floor tiles in the kitchen, fix drywall damage, add new base boards and fix a leak on the outside wall. Victor did all the work, was professional, kept the work area clean and was meticulous and detailed in his work. My kitchen and dinning room are perfect now.

We were nervous and excited about getting new countertops installed, and finding the right company was a big deal for us. We are very happy that we found Diamond Granite and Remodeling. Daniel walked us thru the process, he was great! we highly recommend them.
