Best Fixture in Charlotte NC

I have an old GE drop-in range (25+ years old) that stopped working in the oven part. I had been told that because it was so old, parts likely weren't available. I called Mr. Sparky last Friday and they scheduled an appointment this morning with Brandon. Brandon was fantastic. He explained everything to me in common language that I understood. He was able to find the part needed and I'm hoping to have my oven back before Christmas. Brandon did not try and sell me something and focused completely on my problem. Just from this experience alone, I will not only use their services again but I 100% recommend them for electrical services. UPDATE: 12-15-20 After 4 years of not being able to bake anything (except in my countertop oven), my oven is back!! ? And just in time to do my Christmas baking (and I bake A LOT for Christmas). Ron and David both have done great work on time, on schedule, and professionally several times adding new circuits, lights, or just fixing original electrical construction issues to both our house and the garages.

I will continue to use Ron's team for all my electrical needs, as they listen carefully to what is needed and explain any caveats to you to be able to complete the job (eg, changes that would have to be made) or just to provide you simple answers to your questions.

They all review their work with you at appropriate times during the projects and take care of the customer from start to finish.

I intend to have Ron give us budgetaries for wiring our basement as the next project for 20+ additional circuits and switches.

Ted and Richie took down an old chandelier and installed a new one. There was no way I could do it since it was in a 2 story hallway. They were terrific and friendly. They were done in 40 minutes and worth every penny. I highly recommend them. - Lou C.

Jesse and Joe were great to work with. They explained things in a way that was easy to understand, had excellent communication tools to remind and alert of appointments and most importantly they delivered on what they said they would. I would use them again for my electrical needs.

Tom went above and beyond what was expected when we had a residential wiring problem with our HVAC. He was very knowledgeable, and honest. He stands by his work and when we thought something was wrong he came back later in the evening on his own time to make sure that the work he did was correct, which it was.

I will use his service again and recommend him to my friends for sure.

Absolutely amazing service! We had an electrical problem with dimming of lights all throughout the house when any appliance was used, even A/C. They found the problem quickly (damaged bonding strap in the main panel) and gave me my options. I needed a new part that was hard to find, and even when they couldn't find it they got one from another electrician. Problem was fixed in under an hour after that They even stuck around and worked with my home warranty provider so I could file a claim, and gave me a quote for another job I was thinking about. Very friendly and good at what they do, highly recommended!

Me and my husband have used Al for multiple electrical projects, and I would highly recommend him to anyone! He is prompt, professional, and does such an amazing job. We have been so pleased with everything he has done, and will continue to use him for any electrical needs we may have.

It is great that Bates has superb customer service folks on the phone and was able to send someone out to install a 240V outlet in the garage as early as the next day and the two gentlemen who showed up were super nice ... however ... despite the costs being explicitly stated in advance ($80 trip charge, $80/hr labor, plus parts), I ended up being charged 1.5 hours for just over half an hour's worth of not quite professional work. Two reasons for that: a) I was apparently charged almost an hour for the technician's time to go shopping at Home Depot for the most basic of parts (an outlet, a box for the outlet, a few feet of cabling, etc.), and b) the person who did the work was the new guy and although he was experienced, he was clearly being supervised by the more senior tech for a reason. End result? An outlet that's not flush with the wall because a few corners were cut. I don't get why I have to pay you labor rates to show up at the job site with the proper equipment when I already told you what I needed to have done and I even sent you pictures _well before_ you arrived at the job site. It's not like this person had to leave my home and go far away and then come back (but even then, shouldn't you have some of these things in your truck, especially on the day of the job?). I'm sure he stopped at the Home Depot on the way from his previous gig to this one. I feel like levying a trip charge and labor rates for shopping is technically double-dipping. When I brought up these concerns to their customer support folks, I was told someone would be calling me back (after much resistance and arguing; they're exceptionally trained ... I felt like I called an insurance company to file a claim). Well, three days later, I haven't heard from anyone.

UPDATE 08/24: After getting nowhere with the back-office folks, the owner himself was kind enough to speak with me, hear me out, and send Justin out to make it right by his customer. I really do appreciate that. I am definitely pleased with the end result. However, I think it's important for customers to know, up front, that they're liable for the electrician's time spent procuring the parts needed for the job. If given the choice, I would rather go get them myself instead of paying labor rates for that Home Depot trip. It could be that I'm just that naive and that this is how the entire industry operates.
