HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! (review from an experienced home renovator – this is my 5 personal renovation and I have helped dozens of friends/family with renovations).

While renovating a 1901 Dilworth house I had another electrician start the work and then disappear… Stopped answering my calls/texts...

My wife found Honesty Electric based on their online reviews, and Louis was prompt to provide a quote a day or 2 after she spoke with him. They were not the lowest of the 3 quotes she received, but we felt most comfortable with them stepping in to complete the work.

Honesty Electric started on the day he said he was going to (a week or so after quoting the job). He and his team quickly identified major flaws/issues with the previous electrician's work.
They were able to troubleshoot the problems and come up with a plan to correct it.

He knew I needed the work done ASAP, and could've charged me almost anything because I was desperate, but he provided another reasonable quote to complete the job and was able to get the additional work done within a week (it was another 2 full days with 4-5 electricians working).

They were prompt to send Bryan back out to address a faulty GFI outlet even after I had paid them in full - and did not charge me for the additional trip back to the house (which again they definitely could have).

Louis, Bryan, and their crew were all polite, knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to work with… I will definitely use them again in the future.

I was very pleased with quality work provided by Honesty Electric. Luis and his crew replaced old electrical panel and upgraded to 200 Amp. Work was done on time, comunication was seamless and reasonable price. Would definitely hire again for next project

Best electrician in Charlotte! Luis has handled a number of electrical items (light fixtures/fan combos, switch replacements, troubleshooting, etc) for me. He's fair, upfront and thorough. We hired Honesty Electric to install a ceiling fan and chandelier for a 18 foot ceiling. Louis and Curtis went above and beyond to not only ensure that the fixtures were installed to our liking; they also cleaned up after the install, were very polite and respectful of our home while the installation was taking place and asked if there was anything else we were needing done. I was referred to Honesty Electric by the lighting store where I purchased my porch lights. I scheduled an appointment for a quote and was pleased with their expertise and prices.
I had 4 exterior lights installed which required new wiring and mounting. Brian and Jerome did a fantastic job! Everything was spot on and exactly where I wanted it. Brian came up with the idea of installing a split switch instead of cutting into the wall to add a third switch, which was a great idea. I highly recommend this company. I had several interactions with them to set up the appointment and was pleased with their responsiveness. Very happy with Honesty Electric! I got an estimate from a different electrician but they never responded up to my texts and I never even got a call back from another company. Luis was able to come work on my house right away and showed up on time. He did a great job for me and I highly recommend him!

This company is the best contractor I have had in 20 years (for any type of service). They have all these 5-star reviews for a reason. I can't think of why you would ever want to use another electric service in Charlotte. They are fast, high quality, very courteous, and extremely reasonable. In my case, Brian worked on my attic space. He went just a little further than what I asked for to really set me up well with my install project. We made the right decision when we hired Honesty Electric to do a complete rewire of a remodeled home in the Dilworth area. Luis and his team are great. Luis is very responsive and communicates very clearly with the customer. Technicians Dontae and Glen inspected and replaced a defective neutral wire, and replaced two boxes in an external outlet that wasn’t working. They were done in an hour, and I am entirely satisfied with the experience. Both were highly professional, and delivered great service with a smile. I will definitely use their services again.

Luis and his team are very professional. From the moment they entered my home and each introduced themselves, wearing the slip on booties to protect my flooring until the end when they were cleaning up. They even go that extra mile, doing things that is not required of them. They moved a fixture to the center of the room and I only asked that they put the drywall that was removed from he new location into the old location. We are renovating a property in the East Charlotte area and our first electrician took half of our money and completed 10% of the work in 1 month. Honest Electric was very professional, responsive, and did a great job at hanging our ceiling fans and light fixtures. They even came back out after the installation to trouble shoot why one of the light fixtures was flicker (turns out we had the wrong light bulbs)! Working with Luis and the Honesty Electric crew has been so easy. They are very thorough in explaining the work, timeline and expectations. They were able to install overhead lighting in multiple rooms with very minimal drywall cutting in less visable areas so the aesthetic of the room was not compromised until we can repair the drywall. I hate shopping and I let him pick out my ceiling fans to make sure they were up to his standards and 2 light fixtures. His crew was fast and friendly. since they had to replace my whole Breaker box I was without power. so even though it was like 90 degrees they worked fast and did not cut any corners. they left my house clean as they found it. Luis was fantastic! Asked questions during the estimate, took great notes because he never asked me the same question twice. His workers took great care in making sure the work area was spotless when they were done. Honesty Electric did extensive work for us when we first purchased our very electrically outdated home. Besides putting in new recessed lighting, Honesty Electric brought our electrical system up-to-date, and they did so in such a way that you could hardly tell extensive work had been done; i.e. The house looked as good as new when they were finished. Coincidentally, on their last day on the job, Luis and his team arrived at our place just after our neighbor had accidentally spilled a large amount of water into our home, (we were away for the day and could not get back to address the problem) but they responded with quick damage control that probably ended up saving us money, and they still managed to finish their work ahead of schedule! In addition, these technicians even made a late night (1:30 AM EST) service call at NO CHARGE to me for a problem that was eventually found to be a Duke Energy power line issue. He is everything you want in a contractor: timely, professional, cleans up his work area when he is done, pricing is fair and I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't price-gouge me for an immediate electricity need, he answers the phone every time I have called - even on New Year's Eve and weekend nights! They installed two electric car chargers and a refrigerator outlet in our garage, and an outlet in the floor of our screen porch (through 4” of concrete!), and a celing fan in our family room; it was not easy work! Highly recommend! After trying another handyman recommendation who failed to return my call, I did a quick Google for best electrician in Charlotte and Honesty came up. I sent an email late on a Sunday night and had an email response and phone call first thing in the morning the next day. Lewis talked me through the likely problem with our faulty oven over the phone, and then scheduled a time to come out around my work schedule. Brayan arrived incredibly promptly, fixed our kitchen light and oven issue that had been a problem for years in no time, explaining in detail to me what he was doing and why. i had a minor job to get done and yet needed a professional electrician to do it,so i called Honesty,they were prompt in returning my call,making a appointment and showing up in a timely manner,they got the job done the same day(a plug installed in my bathroom),fairly priced,i liked very much that they took the time to explain how and what they were doing/ installing(a plug according to code for bathrooms) they left no mess and no fuss,both electricians seemed knowledgeable and were very friendly polite,i would call on them again.
