So far everything is going smoothly!

We had our solar replaced by this company this month. They walked us through each solar installation step and answered every question throughout the installation process. The solar install crew was on time, courteous and efficient in their tasks.

This review is purely based on an estimate perspective. I was given a quote of $19.3k by Tesla for 9.6kw system. As you might know Tesla shows you the prices in their site and anyone can see them. Someone from South face solar called me after I asked for an estimate and said a reputable company would charge double that for installing a 9.6kw system and a 20k install is a scam. I am pretty sure Tesla is not a scam company If you don't know, there are reputable companies who installs around this cost. $2/w is what is considered as a great price for solar. This company must be ripping off their customers if they are charging double that as I have multiple quotes from reputable solar installation companies from 20k to 22k for a 9.6kw system. Customers, beware of this company.

I ordered Solar from them on Feb 16, 2021 and till date (June 22, 2021) they have not installed it. To top it all there has been no proper communication. I have had to mail over and over and then they sent some excuse. The project manager Angela said she will copy me on all approval mails but I haven't received any mail from her as well. Overall their pricing and offers were great but I don't think they stand behind their words. Once you sign you are done and dusted and they don't care . Really disappointed that I selected them.

Update: Sept 15 and my panels are not yet functioning. My loan payments have started and now I have to pay both APS and Solar. They had promised some cash back but I have been emailing them but no reply at all.

Update : Sep 17 and finally my solar panels are up and running however haven't received the promised Cashback as of Oct 7. Still mailing them for the same and I get lame excuses.

Update: Nov 4 and still haven't received the promised cash back. I am going to file a consumer complaint against them.

Update: Dec 1: I got the promised cash back.

I loved how clean this crew was! Not only did they show up on time, but they continuously cleaned up after themselves and kept their uniform clean. They also gave me some ideas and recommendations for my new house project. The job was finished on time which made it worth the price! I know i can depend on this company for any of my electrical needs. Thank you guys! Awesome job!

Tesla Solar were great to work with. They went out of their way to get us any information we wanted and did not try to sell us more than we needed. They took care of all the permits, were here when they said they would be, and were professional throughout the process.

It took (June) 10 months to fully get installed so if you got the time, they did installed the Solar Panels right away without a problem but will no follow up with other details with the process. I would have to call and text in a few weeks to know what's going on, I'm already paying GoodLeap the loan company even though I'm not using my Solar Panels. The staff would switch so I don't know whose still working at T&K or not anymore.
Update on April: Finally got the call from JT he helped out a lot set up the system and now using the app to my solar panels.

I met with the representatives Joshua & Dolan; what a great job the experience from start to finish. The quality and professional service I received were beyond what I expected. The product is excellent, and everything went according to plan. If you think of installing Solar panels, I highly recommend reaching out to them.

Michael has made the process of switching to solar power an easier transition. We had many questions and he was able to answer them and give us peace of mind in making this decision. His customer service, communication, and follow-up with us has been excellent, providing updates and making sure the install and hook-up are on schedule. Highly recommend!

Couldn't be happier with this solar company. This is our 2nd solar system. All our questions were answered. We never felt pressured by the sales department or staff. Whole process was smooth and quick. Overall they quickly installed the solar. I highly recommend them.

I cannot say in words how disappointed I am. I had 2 bids but went with the higher cost at SunPro because I thought I was getting better service and equipment. I am a cash buyer that spent nearly 50k on my system. We signed up in January 2021. Put the deposit in on Feb 14th. Panels were installed Mar 11. Went through multiple visits from SunPro to do final hook ups. 3 APS inspections…2 of them wrong inspections called in by SunPro, and this is happening in May 2021. Fast forward to today June 5th…SunPro comes out to do final commissioning and activate the system. The Enphase Envoy box is broken…doesn’t work. What a horrible experience. I have had a solar system “installed” on my home that I paid cash…for 3 months that does not produce, and doesn’t work. I don’t think our experience with SunPro can be any worse. The “account representative “ would set up calls and appointments and not show up or call until hours past the time. I believe I had 3 different representatives until I was given the direct line to the regional director. We are beyond disappointed.

Sunpro Solar - Buyer Beware

Start-up - My house is a new build and is located in a non-HOA neighborhood. Leon Gavin (salesman) ensured my wife and I that because we don’t have an HOA that our system would be installed/completed within 90 days. We signed the paperwork in March 2022, we are currently in November with NO completion date in sight.

Installation – The installation started off well. We had no issues with the solar panels installed on the roof of the house. We had no issues with the installation of the electrical boxes next to the main electrical panel. The issues started after the 2 electricians left my main electrical panel partially completed. There has been arching from the loose cluster of wires hanging in my panel box. There are burn spots from the arching on the wall of the panel box and some of the wires look burned. The first power wall that was installed looked like it was dropped from the back of the Sunpro van with all the damage, dents and dings on it. The electricians stated that the power cell normally takes 3 guys to hang the power cell and that day there were only 2 of them. Sunpro replaced the power cell with no questions asked. The system has been sitting waiting on inspection for the last couple of months and the wiring isn’t even completed.

Customer service – I have the hardest time communicating with my account manager Yesenia Dorantes. She never answers the phone, emails, or returns calls. The days (few far in-between) that I get the opportunity to speak with her she never knows what’s going on. I get the same answer to all my questions… “your paperwork requires revisions” … At times I feel like I’m working with a new company, and this is the first time they are installing a solar panel system on a home. I've left messages with Nancy Flores (manager) and Becky Norton (Director of customer service). Both voice mails state they will return calls within 24 hours. I’ve left multiple messages and have not received a single call back.

I ’ve had nothing but trouble with this company and seems like it will be this way until (if ever) they complete the job. I’d definitely look elsewhere if you’re looking for a solar panel system for your home.
