Alien Air Conditioning and Heating recently installed a new AC unit at my condo and I'm extremely happy and 110% satisfied with the exceptional customer service provided throughout the process. Accessing the AC unit was not the easiest task, as the unit was located on the second floor with a very steep pitched roof and a parapet wall. The team were experts in performing the highest quality service given the challenges. They went above and beyond ensuring my smart thermostat was properly installed, replaced air filters with higher quality filters, and provided me with great preventative maintenance advice. We had an A/C unit fail at our home in Phoenix and of course it was 110 degree's outside. After inspection and recommendations by Howard Air we decided the unit needed to be replaced. This was accomplished in 72 hours and our experience from start to finish was outstanding.

Exceptional service during a week experiencing extremely hot weather . Preferred Air diagnosed the problem within minutes and installed the part with a 2 year warranty. They kept me informed of my appointment and worked it in sooner than promised.

I called Howard Air after my A/C caused a leak in my ceiling. I had to turn off my A/C to contain the flood of water. Although I had never used Howard Air in the past, the receptionist made a special effort to send a technician to my house after hours. The technician who came was extremely helpful. He couldn’t fix the problem but he made sure to have additional technicians return today. They were able to fix my A/C and install a safety shut off valve to prevent another leak. The technicians were efficient, polite, clean and explained what they did. AND, the charges were very reasonable. I am so grateful that they were recommended to me. I’m just sorry I didn’t call them sooner.

I had a great experience with this company. I found out about it at a home show. My house is about 19 years old and had some issues, especially in keeping the upstairs cool in the summer. As an engineer, what I liked about this company was that they came out, took measurements and pictures, and discussed the results with me in detail. After visiting my house, there was a follow-up visit with recommended improvements. Again, I discussed this with the sales rep in detail. There was no hard selling involved. In fact, I did not go with the full set of recommendations, just the set of items that I thought I would get the most benefit from.

Additionally, the fact that APS covers some of the cost via rebates, was helpful in my situation. The company sent out a crew of 4 people that were able to get the work done in one long day. Immediately the following week, my house felt much more uniform in terms of the temperatures. It was also much quieter as well as the AC did not kick on with nearly the frequency it had the week before.

The air conditioners are more quiet when running as well. I am not sure if this is due to more insulation assisting with the noise, or if the improvements to the intake of the units that I made allowed them to breath easier. Both of my units, the upstairs and down, had issues that were causing them to pull in quite a bit of intake directly from my attic (not good). I am looking forward to my first summer in 19 years where I have a good shot at having a home cooling system that will operate as designed.

This service is valuable as most builders really just build to the minimum code requires rather than having an interest in what your electric bill is 6 months after you move in. I would gladly do this in any future home, not only for the savings, but for the comfort factor as well.

I would recommend Scottsdale Air every single time. Back in August, my upstairs unit was not working, I called Scottsdale Air as they were the ones who had done our initial installation and they had done a great job. Dave came and gave a quote. While we were deciding on a day that worked for us, the a/c came back on by itself, so we ended up not getting the repair done. But this past week, the unit stopped working again. When I called Scottsdale Air, Jacob the manager said he would honor the original quote. Dave was the one who came again and instead of just going ahead and installing what we had discussed previously, he did another diagnostic, found a leak, replaced the coil, all at no additional cost inspite of the size of the additional job. The initial job which was to take 2 hours ended up taking almost 6 because he had to go pick another part up, call another technician to help him, and do extra work.Not only that, he made sure that he wore booties inside the house because he noticed that we don't wear shoes inside the house. Every single time he had to go in and out of the house (which was a lot ), he would take them off, put them back on. The Scottsdale Air team is great, especially Dave - all about the customer, very fair in their dealings and you could see that they take pride in the quality of work they do.
