Best Annual Preventative Maintenance in Phoenix AZ

My 3 years old (still under warranty) water heater was not working so I called them to take a look and fix it. Scheduling was for the following day. The technician arrived and said it would take a while to diagnose so I went on with my work and let him do the diagnose. After approx 1 hour, the tech told me that it would take around 3 hours of labor to fix it and the parts were under warranty, and quoted me around $1300 for 3 hours of labor. But, that was just a tactic because he was trying to sell me a new water heater for around the same price! Instead if trying to fix my water heater they tried to sell me a new one and if I didn't want one I had to pay a $89 evaluation fee. Funny how I was told that they don't really do small repairs(like mine) but they usually focus on replacing not fixing. I wish I would have been told that before scheduling the appointment. Anyways, I don't think that the technician did much to evaluate my water heater because almost half of the time he was in the van talking on the phone, and his testing / tool kit was never open when I was going to check on him(at least 3 times in 1 hour). I think they tried to sell me a new unit and since I didn't want to, I got charged $89 just to be told they don't do small repairs.
If you are in a need of a small repair, be sure to avoid them and find someone else.

I have an older house that requires some HVAC maintenance from time to time. My house uses 3 separate A/C systems. Almost two years ago, since I was having repeated issues with my old systems I decided to purchase 3 all new Trane A/C systems. They replaced the condenser outside, the air handlers inside, and installed new wi-fi thermostats. The installation and everything went great!

The new systems were installed in October of 2019 and so I didn't really get to push the A/C hard until the summer of 2020. Before agreeing to have them replace all three units, I expressed concerns that my master unit doesn't seem to be able to keep up with demand in the hot summer months. Eric Johnson, the sales professional, showed me how he calculated the size of unit to use and assured me that if we still had issues he would make it right. In July of 2020 when it started getting really hot, I noticed that the A/C in the master was struggling to cool the room even in the middle of the night.

I immediately texted Eric. He came out with the technician the following morning and they proceeded to make many adjustments and test things out. It seemed as though there was some sort of obstruction in my duct work or the ducts just weren't arranged properly. Their testing showed that the air coming out of the air handler was coming out at the proper rate and much cooler than the air going in. Everything from the equipment side was working as it should.

Eric spoke with the owner of Scottsdale Air and he agreed to install a new larger system to replace the system that was only 9 months old, at no cost to me. So to put this into context, Eric showed me how he calculates the size for the unit required (the other 2 units work perfectly) and that is what I paid for, then they showed that the equipment was working as expected and that the duct work in my house was likely the cause of the issue, but they still replaced my system with a bigger A/C unit than I should really need and they charged me nothing for it. The A/C in my master bedroom now works great! I was able to cool the master from 75º to 70º at 7:00pm in past couple of weeks when the highs outside were around 115º. It only takes about 1 hours to cool the room down now. I couldn't be happier.

These guys really know how to take care of their customers. All of the service technicians (Scott is the man), the people that answer the phones, Eric Johnson, and the owner all go out of their way to make sure you are happy. I will be a Scottsdale Air customer for life!

They (Brandon, Andrew, and Zach) were on time and wasted no time getting our old heat pump out and installing the new one. Quick and efficient. They were friendly and answered all of our questions. Brandon went above and beyond to troubleshoot and fix a problem with our phone line after the installation was done. He made it better than it was before (an added bonus). My first experience with this company was very good. Then I called them back for another issue. Felt the assessment was very incomplete, was charged $79 for the visit and never received an estimate! When I called, she said the techs phone wasn’t working to send the estimate? They cashed my check anyway- not happy!
