Great company! Seriously everyone I have worked with has been friendly and professional. My A/C system went down while I was in the middle of getting quotes from 3 different companies. I got recommended to them by my friend who had their system replaced last year. SMW's quote was the most comprehensive in what they replaced and went into the details vs some of the competitors quotes were generic and didn't talk about the scope of the work they would be doing.I worked with Jeff Pepin for the initial quote. They gave me 3 separate quotes based on like for like replacement or upgrade options. 14 seer/16 seer/18 seer. All were at a fair price.For install I had Joe Rivera and he was super friendly and explained everything about what I had before and what they replaced and upgraded.Lastly Troy Adam's came out a week later to check up on how the system was running and to ensure I was satisfied.
Had a service contract with another company who sold to SMW. First experience we had an extremely rude tech for annual service. We were hoping he just had a bad day. He talked us into installing two of these safety float switches. The glue job looks horrible, even worse, they began to leak from the glue fittings. I realized the glue is just there for appearance and with a slight tug, the pipe comes right out of the fittings. Same tech came out a second time when one of the units (1 year old units) wouldn’t run. He claimed the switches did their job and one line had a lot of growth in it. He definitely went through almost a whole case of CO2 cartridges like he said, as half of them are still sitting empty in my attic. He left and the AC was running. The next day the same unit wouldn’t run again. Luckily a neighbor, who also does HVAC for a living immediately realized it was a capacitor issue. The tech never even looked at the ground A/C units on the 2nd visit for the “clogged lines”. I have no idea how they have such high ratings when customer service and the work is horrendous.Edit* Response to Wayne: we have had conversations about the many issues with your tech David Rodriguez. I primarily spoke to you about how extremely rude he was to my wife and you had him call me and apologize, that was his first visit. You guys think he’s a great tech and clearly he is poor. I will not be contacting you again about this matter and I refuse to do business with your company. The issue in the photos has been resolved by another company.

SMW installed a new AC/Heating system this week. We are totally happy with the entire experience. Jonathan came out originally and spent a lot of time explaining and answering all of our questions. He was very knowledgeable. The equipment, and the installers, Joe and Alex, showed up at the scheduled time. Joe and Alex did an excellent job installing the new system and taking away the old equipment. They were careful and professional. We give SMW the highest recommendation.
SMW service persons have always been knowledgable and courteous. Have had excellent maintenance people over the years. Just resently had a 22 yr old AC/heating system replaced. Nate and Austin did a wonderful job of changing out the old and installing the new. They were professional, knowledgable and thorough, making sure that everything was cleaned up and running properly. We had a chiller system blower that needed to be replaced. We had a great experience with the techs and office staff on communicating options. We also had a tight window that we needed the job done. Everyone we worked with was professional and the result was better than I expected. Definitely recommending to other people. It was nice to have good communication, the job completed at a high caliber, and working with us to get it done timely.

We had problems with the heat turning on when prompted. It worked sometimes not all the time. Mark Crosby called and set up an appointment He is one of the guys that installed the system. He has been at our house on several occasions.I found Mark to be Professional and caring.He knows his product very well. He reassured us it was going to be an easy fix and explained it all.He also told us the filters we had were not the correct ones to use for our system. He explained that it takes a different filter and gave all the info to us to order or he would order them. He came back and installed them for us.Thanks to Mark we are very satisfied with his knowledge and promptness as well as his outgoing personality. Thank You

On the initial visit, the technician parked his vehicle at the opposite end of the house from the air conditioning unit. When I asked why he had not parked his vehicle adjacent to the AC, he told me that he needed to inspect my roof. He then proceeded to give me incorrect information regarding a warranty program in an effort to sell an upgraded policy. SMW had previously installed a new unit, which was under factory warranty. As they did not have the warranty part, they installed a “temporary motor. Although I requested an itemized statement to submit to my home warranty company, this information was never provided. I was contacted when the original part came into stock, and requested that the same technician not be assigned due to his rudeness. After taking the day off work, I was told that the part was not actually in stock when they went to retrieve it. Several weeks later, I received an email indicating that an appointment had been scheduled. I did not receive an advance call to confirm whether this would be convenient for me. The original technician arrived for the service, and again parked at the opposite end of the residence from the HVAC unit. After telling me that the work had been completed, he indicated that the office would contact me as I would be charged for the replacement motor. I indicated I should have been told this information in advance. I paid SMW $5241.21 for a new air conditioning unit in October of2020, and an additional $340 for the installation of the temporary unit as they did not have the manufacturers part in stock. For this expense, I would expect to receive better service!

They put in my new system in the brutal heat in July ! My follow up maintenance has been good, they contacted me and very flexible with my schedule requests. Jeff technician is very knowledgeable. Always pleasant and takes his time to show me things when I ask question or will explain them so I understand if not able to show. Would recommend them bar none !

I did a lot of shopping around, they got me everything I was looking on my budget, with top of the line equipment. The maintenance plan makes it very easy to keep my new machines in the game for the long term.
Update: I trust Chad and SMW so much I signed up for their maintenance program.No hard upsales which I appreciate. This is the 2nd time I have maintenance performed by SMW.I like that they take pictures and give their honest opinion about the system. SMW installed our system 5 years ago and has serviced it ever since that time. Jonathan Palermo came out for the most recent service and was wonderful. He was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. The office sent a reminder text the day before along with the name of the technician. They then called that day to say he was on his way. Our experience over the last 5 years has been stellar.
Normally I would not have left this company a feedback. Our A/C went out on a Friday night about 10pm (this always happens to me ?). I called the emergency number and left a message. I got a call from Scott at 7am on Saturday morning and said he would make sure I am he first on the list for the office to call me at 8am to schedule a service tech to come that day to fix. Now mind you it is a Saturday. They got me scheduled to have someone come between 2-5pm that day. But to my delight; the technician called at 10:30 am to let me know he was on his way. Which was perfect b/c they did not know we were throwing a huge surprise party that day and we had no plan B to move the party. The technician was super nice and very professional and had the repairs done within the hour and they did not charge me that emergency weekend fee that most A/C companies do when it is a visit on a weekend. I have been with this company for years and have recommended many people to them and they do not disappoint. Everyone I have recommended this company to is also very pleased with their services and their pricing. Keep up the great job SMW!

After recently moving to the Phoenix area, I was unwittingly set up to purchase a new A/C heat pump. I received quotes but no one ever explained the details.....just the price. Then I met Mark Crosby who took the time to inspect my 12 yr old A/C unit and recommended a new Trane. And, to his credit, Mark explained in detail how the units functioned, the Trane benefits and the advantages of having a 15 SEER unit.......the hallmarks of which were longevity, durability, efficiency, quality of workmanship and warranty. Obviously, Mark knew his product AND his competition. His sincerity and professionalism won me over....I placed the order. Days later, the unit was scheduled for delivery and I was overjoyed after seeing the expertise of the install team. The exemplified detail of the install job gave me confidence that I had indeed made the right purchase. The price I paid wasn't the cheapest.....but my decision to go with Mark and SMW was confidently the right one. This company stands tall. Thank you Mark, Scott and everyone else at SMW for demonstrating that top-shelf, honest companies still exist.

Had David R over to do some repairs and he let me know that my AC wouldn’t last much longer He was right. 2 mos later and I had he was back over. We decided to pull the trigger on getting a new unit. David was great through the whole process. Got a great deal and had my A/C unit out in a few days later. This is a great company and they don’t tell you a bunch of lies just to rank up some expenses. If you use them you won’t be sorry.

Bryan arrived on-time to complete an inspection/estimate for an HVAC install, he was knowledgeable and.progessional.
Due to very little attic insulation, Top Notch Technician Bryan suggested we look into adding insulation to our attic. He took pictures in the attic and showed us where our limited insulation was and even took pictures of worrisome spots, with basically little to no insulation. Tech Jeff did the insulation. We also had Bryan install a noise diffuser due to our unit being rather loud when the heat or AC turns on. What a difference! We can’t speak highly enough about SMW AC. I would recommend them to anyone. Simply the best! 5 ⭐️ review

Installed a new unit with these guys 13 months ago. They have a nice 2 year workmanship warranty on their invoice. I was told this was going to cover labor if anything breaks within 2 years. It's a nice play on words. Workmanship 2 year warranty basically covers nothing at all. Not even a year and a half later and my new unit doesn't work anymore. I've been a good owner of the unit, never keeping it below 78, changing filters every month religiously. Sad. Nice play on words guys.Edit to owners reply: why would I let you inspect the unit when you fooled me with your 2 year workmanship warranty that covers nothing. You told me it would be a charge for labor to look at the unit. Then a charge for labor to fix the until you installed. Why give you more business with your foolery. I guess this is how yoir business operates. Cheap installs hoping to get a call back in 13 months to fix the bad install.Maybe next time someone who chose you for a new unit install calls at the 13 month mark with their unit not working, you can atleast afford to send a tech to check it out complimentary with their workmanship 2 year warranty. Until then have fun being cheap with my 1 star review. Way to solve the issue, and lose a customer. Thank you ma'am.
Joe Rivera and Matt arrived during the designated window and installed my new AC/furnace units. Their work was professional and completed in about seven hours. Joe went over each item on the original quote proposal and we agreed that all items had been provided. The only remaining items were repair of dry wall and duct screen installation, which are to be scheduled in the coming days. Both Joe and Matt were competent and knew their tasks. I was very pleased with their work and performance.

We had routine inspection on our HVAC unit. The repairman was knowledgeable and made sure we understood everything he was doing and very courteous.
Great service all around! The office picked up right away and had my service request completed with in minutes. The tech showed up with in an hour of the call. Paul Miller was my technician, not only was he here quickly but he worked quickly to diagnose my problem and fixed the problem just as quickly. I felt well informed of the issues and at no time did I feel pressured to buy anything I didn't need or felt like I was being told incorrect information about my ACs problem. This is a big worry for most people I think in that we feel like we are going to be told we need something we don't just to get more money out of us. I will only use SMW from now on and I would recommend them to anyone, I would also recommend they request Paul Miller if possible.

Nice locally owned business. Very responsive and trustworthy. Lots of good communication. They send a reminder about the visit, a picture and name of the tech coming out. He introduced himself, explained what he was going to do, asked if I had any questions. Then he had a couple recommendations for things that needed to be fixed and he explained why. Got that repair scheduled 2 days later. He showed me pictures and even the old motor and showed me why it needed to be replaced (it was obvious when he showed me, bearings going bad.) I'm glad we have them come out for regular ac maintenance twice a year because that motor probably wouldn't have made it through the summer ? ?
I can't say enough good things about SMW! I've been using them for years and have always had a positive experience. I had a problem with my furnace last night after hours (about 3 am) and called their emergency number. I talked to Scott (he's the owner!) and he walked me through the whole process of what I needed to do until they could get someone out here. He was kind and knowledgeable and was able to put my mind at rest. That alone is enough to make me a lifetime customer. But it gets better! They had someone at my house at 8 am (how's that for fantastic service?!). My tech was Joe Rivera and he was totally amazing! He knew what he was doing, explained everything to me and patiently answered all my questions. He was professional and personable (he even gave milk bones to my dogs!) He went above and beyond what I expected and I will certainly request him whenever I need service. This is an amazing company and I would recommend them 100%! Editing my original review after having some time to connect with the GM Wayne and discuss some concerns. We each had conversations to voice our concerns and ultimately, He went to bat for my concerns and wanted to do whatever he could to keep my business. This showed me a lot considering running an AC business in Arizona is like selling water to a thirsty man - AC is such a necessary part of Arizona life. But it also showed me that I should also highlight a ton of the excellent that SMW has done for me over the years vs a 1 time hiccup.I have trusted this company with thousands of dollars worth of HVAC work ranging from repairing a system, replacing a system, decommissioning old ductwork and replacing with flex ductwork and everything has been top notch stellar work. My home cools much better than when we bought it and the system has been as rock solid as it can be in the desert. All of these repairs were beyond fair in price and most of all, they were one of the few companies willing to take the complex install at my house.I never hesitate to give SMW out to my friends and colleagues and will continue to talk about my experiences in a very positive light. If you want a competitive local company that's a nice change of pace from the bigger box brands, give SMW a call.

Bryan Blackson came and correct the issue I had with 4 ton Goodman unit I had a random issue with error code 04 on ECM board. He found some loose connections on the board and also fuse disconnect was loose. Bryan went above and beyond and checked my other unit also.Update. 12-14-22 Bryan replaced the thermal expansion valve, for the heat system to perform as required.Also advice me to use hard start kit to prolong the unit.Update 1/30/23Bryan stop by to check the heating and cooling of the unit, using the pressure gauge. Stated that unit is working efficiently, I would like thank Bryan and SMW for there services.

I bought service plans with them and not happy at all. Even though the unit is under 4 years old, their technicians say some part is needed to be replaced every time they come to do PM. I did not trust them anymore. They even denied me the service contract refund. I left them over three years worth of service money. Very Sad

The crew did an excellent job!! They arrived early to prep for removal of the existing unit. They were cordial and professional and were obviously highly skilled and experienced. The work progressed quickly and the results were great.
The people are very curtious and pleasant to deal with. It’s been three days, temps up to 106 and the AC is working great! We happened on these guys by dumb luck but they will be out go to AC company in the future. There are 1-2 after job issues to deal with, but SMW didn’t shy away from stepping up to address and schedule time to get that done.

I've been using SMW for close to 10 years now and have never been disappointed. Always receive great response and service. They assisted with repairs and replacement of my unit several times over the years. By several I don't mean issues per se, they come every 6 months or so for maintenance. Had visit from SMW as part of ?promotion involving assessing condition of AC for contribution of canned food. Troy examined both of our units. He correctly identified one unit as relatively new and functioning well and the other as old and showing some signs of wear that could present a problem in the future. He did not advise doing anything to repair the old unit, thinking that it would be better to save the money for when it will.be necessary to replace the unit. I was actually expecting to get recommendations for lots of maintenance, but that did not happen. A pleasant and professional interaction.

Due to higher SRP bills and a section of our house not cooling or heating like the rest. We called SMW Refrigeration and Heating. Troy came out to take a look at our ductwork and insulation. He said our problem was with our sparse insulation. Troy was personable and knowledgeable. He spent time answering questions and explaining process. He never tried to sell us services we did not need. A couple days later Joseph and his teammate Oso came out to add insulation. Joseph made us feel comfortable with the process. He was also very knowledgeable and explained what he was going to do. He shared his pictures and video of adding insulation. We could actually see how those areas looked before and after the added insulation. I highly recommend this company! They’re professional, experienced and have great customer service. When you call, you can actually get a hold of someone who can answer your questions!

They requested service to come out and reinstall an air conditioning unit after it had been removed due to water damage. The young man that arrived was very unsure of himself or his ability to bid the job so he called somebody the person on the phone started at $1700 and by the time you hit $2300 I had asked him to leave the property. It cost less to have the unit installed originally than what they were quoting to just reinstall half the unit.
The work was done perfectly. Both technicians were patient while answering all my questions.
SMW Refrigeration and Heating is an awesome company. Troy, the technician, was great. He went above and beyond repairing connections, eliminating entrances to the system which allowed bees in which poses a fire hazard. I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. When my 20 year old system goes kaput this is the company I will call for replacement. They are honest, professional and client communication and service was excellent.
The tech Joe Rivera and his R2D2 air duct cleaning equipment came out to a home I finished remodeling and did a duct cleaning and administered antimicrobacterial mist into the system along with air freshener. I can honestly say for the price and quality of the service I received I will be a loyal SMW customer. Just wondering at what point will I start receiving sweet SMW merchandise to rep lol.. (Hint Hint Scott haha)... The respect that the tech had in the home was outstanding and much appreciated. He was very good about explaining everything and let's not forget that he knocked out the service in about an hour!!! Thank you JoJo and the SMW Team for everything. We have a 2 A/C unit system that is 16 years old. In spite of a myriad of HVAC companies there were at the Phoenix Home Show in October 2021, we somehow just picked SMW’s booth to pay a visit. The Fellas were VERY nice and offered us to spin a prize wheel and we “won” a FREE check of our 2 A/C unit system AND we were also entered into a draw for a 2 A/C unit system installed.You know, ALL the hokey home show stuff where we all dread what is about to come next. However, to be totally honest, SMC was immensely professional at the show, they didn’t push ANYTHING on us.Their booking system is very well done and we were kept well informed of when their tech would arrive. He was right on time and extremely nice. He immediately went to work and thoroughly checked both of our A/C units AND the 2 furnaces in our attic.The entire time, I was waiting for the hard sell to start.When the tech was done (took about an hour), he ran through all components of our system and their condition. He said the system is still in good condition and excellent working order. Nothing to recommend we change.Wait. What? You don’t recommend any changes/upgrades/repairs/replacements? Really?Nope, he just stated that we please call them to do regular (paid for in the future, obviously) service and maintenance to our system, thanked me and saw himself out.The nicest fella that pushed NOTHING on us. I just had them come out on Thursday March17th 2022 and was very disappointed. Had my air ducts clean and they did a horrible job. They rush through the job because apparently one of them had other personal things to do. So I know they rush cleaning them. My house still has the same odor it had when they came out. You would have thought they would have found the problem. I asked for before and after pictures never saw any. My house does not smell fresh like they said it would. I spent most of the evening cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming my kids room because they didn’t cover up anything so everything got dusty and there was powder from the air vents. My bathrooms were all dusty and the floor was full of whatever they pulled out of the vents. The only room I told them I would sweep to help them out was the kitchen. But they were responsible for cleaning up there mess in every room. They got dust from the vents all over my sons tv, his systems, headphones it was horrible. But again one of them had personal things to take care of. So I’m assuming that’s why this job was done poorly. I was also confused to why they didn’t use a ladder to fog the vents how is it suppose to go through the entire house, if you don’t hold it up close enough to the vents. I am very disappointed. And I have yet to be asked how things went. A text to give a review is not professional. Speak to your customers. Don’t you believe in customer satisfaction.

Fidel came out on New Year's Day to work on it, and found the problem...it wasn't the computer board, but a spot on a wire where the insulation on a wire had worn thru because of a fan blade rubbing and was causing a short. Even though it was late and he couldn't come out that night, he assured me that he would be out in the morning to assess our situation.The next morning he was here and gave me his recommendation and gave me some ideas on how to proceed. SMW uses a telemarketers to offer tune ups for $29.95. I confirmed twice that it was a complete tune up and the telemarketer verified it was both times. I thought that they were offering a good deal and wanted to earn my business. I was given a 3 hour window for the technician to show up. I waited almost 4 hours until he showed up. Then he told me all he was going to do was to look at the wiring and see if anything needed to be done to the unit. By no means was he tuning anything up and I declined that service once I figured out the scam. I had to wait 4 hours for something my normal AC company would have come out and done by a set appointment. For free too. The technician said that they call it a tune up but should really define it as an inspection. He also said that if they called it an inspection they would not have the same response from people when doing the phone sales. So, they obviously know that this is misleading! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS OFFER AND BEWARE!

SMW was recommended to me a few years ago when I needed a new heat pump. I got a good price and excellent equipment. Yesterday my other heat pump faltered in the very high heat and SMW responded the same day with some 134 & a capacitor. We’re back in business!

I'm new to the area and had some issues with my heat pump, which was 24 years old, so I knew I was going to have to replace it with and new model not to mention the old unit was undersized. I had 7 estimates to for replacing the unit from big and smaller companies. You might ask how come so many estimates? I wanted the job done right and most of all I wanted to feel comfortable with the company. A tech from SMW came out and went over everything with me and because of the certain needs that I wanted he suggested that Scott the owner come out to make sure that my needs would be able to be met. Scott came out and went over everything with the heat pump and made some suggestions. After meeting Scott I knew this was the company I wanted to install my system. The team came out a few days later to do the install and they started at 8 am and finished at 10 pm. What was more impressive was Scott the owner was here the whole day helping the guys. They did a fantastic job and were very clean and polite. Look no further this company is the one you want.

This company is the gold standard of care when it comes to AC and heating. SMW installed my unit and completed duct work a few years ago. Last night my AC capacitor and fan went out. I called around 6pm and they had Bryan knocking at my door about an hour later.... On a Friday night.... when its 110 out. Bryan was suited up in gear due to the COVID to keep the family safe. Bryan was courteous and efficient and got us up and running quickly. My family appreciates SMW for standing by their product and their amazing responsiveness.

I did not actually move forward with service, but wanted to share my experience. They were prompt and courteous when scheduling a free estimate for HVAC replacement. Jason was great and came out the same day. My issue was the fact he not even take the time to look at the air handler/furnace situation in the attic.The quote was based on a 5 minute look at our outside unit and trying to beat another quote from another local company (in my opinion). Their labor warranty was 4 years less that the other company we decided to go with. The company we did choose spent 1 hour looking at our whole setup and explained everything to me, even allowing me to get in the attic with them and ask questions. I feel to give a true and honest quote, you would need to know the entirety of the situation, including additional parts that may be needed based on previous shoddy work (ie. secondary pan and hanging kit, which the first company recognized needed to be replaced) and was not included in SMW's quote. Seems like a reputable company, but I will never know that for sure.Updated my review to 3 stars because the owner still took time to respond. Shows they care about their service and actually read these reviews as a way to get honest (most of the time) feedback.

Their prices are excellent as well. My experience yesterday,Sunday, is why I’m taking the time to write a review. We were away and got a call from our dog sitter that our house was 96 degrees and climbing. Within 15 mins of me leaving a message, Scott called back and within 3 hours my unit was fixed...on a Sunday! He went above and beyond and coordinated with our dog sitter so we wouldn’t have to worry about it while on vacation. We return tonight after 3 weeks away to a cool house.
The owner takes special interest in all of the customers to make sure everything went well and will personally make sure the job was done right. Their technicians can actually diagnose problems rather than just sell new equipment. However, I did buy a new air conditioner

Sean from SMW came to assist me with setting up my new NEST thermostat and was very professional and patient with my lack of being tech savvy. He walked me through the entire process. I thought I would have a huge expense of rewiring my system but he found the problem and he was honest with his assessment of the situation and it ultimately only cost me an hour of labor. I wish to thank SMW Refrigeration and Heating once again for their prompt, reliable service and friendly, professional service representatives. Recently, my A/C Unit stopped working and I called SMW to come out and troubleshoot. The service technician, Kevin, was very helpful and knowledgeable about my situation and assisted me in getting the right help I needed to resolve the issue. The issue wasn’t the A/C unit, it was an electrical issue that I had resolved through a licensed electrician and SRP. Without Kevin’s assistance, I would have not had A/C for several days. I have nothing but great things to say about SMW and the owner Scott. They came in and saved my year after the misfortune I dealt with from another HVAC installer. Here is the backstory:I had purchased a new unit from a guy that ran his own “HVAC Company on the side” in May of 2018. This guy guaranteed me all the warranties and labor like all other companies. Starting in October of 2018 I had nothing but issues. The heater and air stopped working and the guy kept coming out and making excuses. He didn't know how to fix it. After repeated request to get the whole unit replaced, he finally agreed to do it. Then the real challenge happened. He disappeared. So here I am out $6000 and I have a new unit that doesn’t even work. Of course in February he finally said that he would pay for another HVAC company to come out and see if they could figure out why it doesn’t. (Yeah, at this point….I wanted to scream, cry, all negative emotions) In comes the company that saved my year.When you call in to SMW the guys that answer the phone are incredibly kind and patient. (There is nothing like great customer service). They sent out Scott (who I found out later was the owner). He was so patient and understanding of everything. He was able to get parts replaced under manufacturer warranty and only charged me for the labor. Of course, like any mechanical system it takes time to diagnose and come up with a plan. My air worked for a bit and then quit again. The guys at SMW were doing everything they could to make my system work without having to replace an entire HVAC unit and spending another $6000 to fix it. Scott came out a second time and nailed it. It has been running ever since.I’ve truly learned my lesson to never go for the guy that “does jobs on the side”. I didn’t save money and it’s only caused heartache. There is a reason companies are licensed and bonded. SMW is a prime example of the way a business should be ran. I’m forever grateful and in debt to how kind, diligent and outstanding they are. The world needs more people like Scott and SMW. I will always advocate for them. Thank you SMW for being a light in this world!

Technician had lots of attitude. Said our unit would lose warranty if we didn't have the coils cleaned annually. When I told him I thought we had last year, he looked it up and said it had been done in June of last year and gave me rates for plans available. When I told him I would have to talk it over with my sister as we co-own the house, he was short with me. He never said anything else about findings with his inspection. I felt he was angry cause I wouldn't sign for an extended plan and left. Sorry I sceduled this call.
Great experience all the way through! These guys are trustworthy and professional as well as being super nice and friendly. We are so happy they were referred to us by a friend. We had our 18 year old unit replaced, a few new vents cut in and though it's 117 outside, we are actually cold.
Paul came out to give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and broke everything down and answered all of our questions. He was very personable. We have not made a final decision but I would have zero issues doing business with SMW. This was a free in home estimate btw!

My a/c went out on a Friday evening. I called SMW and the owner send one of his technicians right away. They were here within an hour. The technician Manny replaced the part that was not working and explained exactly what was wrong with it. Very knowledgeable guy and great service! I would definitely recommend!

Had been shopping for a new unit for two months. I was completely unimpressed with all the American Standard and Trane Dealers I dealt with. Matt Silva answered all my questions and encouraged me to follow up with any further questions. I told him exactly what I needed. The price was very competitive. Within two days, my new unit was up and running. Fidel and Noel were courteous and efficient. I highly recommend SMW, especially if you are a senior citizen.
We use SMW regularly for regular maintenance and repair and replacement. In this transaction, they replaced the ducts which had deteriorated over the 35 years of the life of the house. The technician that gave us the estimate was on the team that did the replacement. We were surprised by the lack of dust and debris in the house after they were done. We are pleased.

Excellent group. Very professional. They changed my A/C registers to allow for air filters to be maintained at the registers, as opposed to at the A/C unit in the garage. The cost was reasonable, the work clean and excellent. They thoroughly checked my A/C system and found things fine; didn't try to sell me anything as part of their visit. I will definitely call them again for any future A/C work.

I don't often go out of my way to write a review, but this company is really exceptional. My wife complained to me that overnight the ac seemed to start blowing out warm air instead of cold. I called SMW and spoke with Scott, the owner, who said he'd be able to have a technician come to our home the same day. Just a few minutes later Kevin the technician called to say he was in route. He arrived and was really friendly and helpful. He took his time and explained the problem. He got on the roof and brought back down the part that had gone bad, it was nice to see it and have it explained to me. It turned out to be an easy fix and we were cooled off in no time. Cant say enough good things about SMW.

SnW removed our old unit that was 16 yrs old. Installed a new trane unit and replaced all things in the attic. Everything was completed in record time and very professional. Very satisfied and would recommend this company and employees
SMW is a first class professional outfit. They told us what they were going to do, put it in writing, and followed through on all phases of the job in great detail. Of the five contractors we had bid our job they were in 2nd place price-wise but in first place overall. The few hundred dollars extra we paid were well worth it. They are great communicators, from the owner of the company, who actually visited our site, through the install manager and on-site install techs who completed the job. Their paperwork was on spot, carefully documenting all verbal communications that had occurred in the field. The two installation technicians (Wayne and Joseph) did a superb job and they stayed calm and professional even when the city, who was installing new water and sewer lines in our street at the same time, was threatening to block the crane from getting to our house. Wayne and Joseph negotiated with the city's job supervisor to create a time and location slot through the city job site for the crane. I would highly recommend SMW to anyone in the market for a new HVAC. They were extremely competitive on the price, but you knew they were not low-balling you just to get the job. They answered all our questions and backed up their positions with facts which you could verify on the internet.

SMW Refrigeration recently installed a new roof mounted Trane XL16C unit on our residence. The unit is certainly the most quiet of all the units we have had in the past. From my research, I was convinced this was the best unit for us and so far, I believe we made the right choice. Our sales person, Todd was very helpful by providing needed information and various unit options . I cannot say enough good things about the professional manner in which the transaction and installation was handled. I'd like to say, over the years, we've owned several units but it seemed the quality control of their installation always lacked somewhat (I'm now retired from the electrical industry and know the difference in quality installations and the lack thereof). Bryan and Chino did our install and I inspected it afterwards. Their workmanship was so excellent and professional, frankly, I was impressed. They properly cleaned up after themselves and both were so very helpful and polite. Bryan even helped me download the app that allowed cell phone control of our new Trane thermostat. All in all, I give SMW Refrigeration an A+ rating and will highly recommend them.
Professional HVAC tech. Paul Miller came by this morning to inspect and clean 2 AC systems. He purged out the evap drain lines. He checked the motor current draw and compressor current draw. He cleaned out the condenser coils. He check the vent temps of both unitsOverall very happy with SMC , and highly recommend them. Thanks Paul.
When the guy called me on the phone to book the appointment he clearly told me that if the refrigerant was low that it would be topped off with coolant, this was included in the $29.95 examination fee as I had asked him about it.The tech had said no we don’t do that and tried to sell me on some really expensive procedure and/or to get a new ac unit.So free only thing I’m wondering is why did I waste my and my family’s time with this company when they false advertise and who knows what else?Broke my trust.Stay away from SMW refrigeration and heating!!

My 6 month a/c maintenance was due, June 26 2020, right in the middle of rising Covid-19 numbers in Arizona. Made the appointment, I was the first stop which I appreciated, he showed up with his mask and gloves on. I had my mask on and asked if I could adjust the thermostat instead of him coming in, and he said yes and he could also measure the temperature from the unit on the roof. Within 30 minutes his maintenance was complete, he rang the doorbell to let me know that he was done, and he never had to enter my home so I never had to sterilize anything indoors. I have underlying health issues, COPD, so how this appointment was handled was very important to me.
I wanted the best, so installed a single, variable stage compressor with 3 zones to replace my original dual, single stage units. The results were immediate; we can't detect it running and there is zero temp fluctuation once the set temp is reached. SMW did a quick, clean job. I will recommend them to my friends here in Trilogy.

Very professional and helpful and when we ran into a small hiccup they remedied it quickly and even went beyond and fixed a few other electrical problems that were around the house. They did all of this while also installing two units that are working great, would recommend this company to anyone.

Have been a member of the Comfort Club over five years was told when you purchase an air conditioner would receive 10-15% discount did not. Told in 2019 if bought a new air conditioner would be $7000 if waited until 2020 would be $9000. In September 2019 had a technician come because being a member of the Comfort Club a technician comes out once every six months to check your air conditioner unit. Before even looking at my unit was trying to sell a new one since mine was eleven years old. Told me for $9000 would have to finance a month would be one hundred dollars never brought into my house a tablet. He said has been working in air conditioning for twelve years & knows about them. I was telling him how in my kitchen only small vent for the air to come thru hot in there at times he told me about a unit where it cools off the entire house each room. I did not say I wanted that unit he never asked. He never showed me three different quotes for different units. Only sells Trane. He then told me would be higher than one hundred dollars a month more like one hundred forty. The next week the finance company sent a bill showing that it was for eight years with paying back eight thousand dollars in interest. This was never told to me. I called the finance company was told the unit purchased was eleven thousand dollars! I called SMW told them I wanted the unit to be removed. Was told the manager would call back in twenty minutes. About half hour later Wayne called asking me what did I want. Told him was never told that I was purchasing an eleven thousand dollar air conditioner & would never have said yes to that! Wayne said he had talked to the technician that sold me the unit and showed me three different prices on his tablet. Told Wayne the technician only showed me the unit app on his phone with the temperature set. Wayne asked me what I wanted told him wanted to pay $9000 since that was the price I was told. Wayne told me he could not give me that unit for that price he would be loosing two thousand dollars. Wayne told me he needed to think about this and when was a good time to call me back to discuss this. Said tomorrow but Wayne said he was in Texas for a meeting and would next Wednesday be good to call to discuss this at nine o'clock in the morning. Said yes Wayne said talk to you then. The following Wednesday came and went Wayne never called back. I feel that I was totally taken advantage of ! Thought the customer was always right not with this company ! Want to warn consumers especially women about this company. There is absolutely no advantage to belonging to the Comfort Club I learned just lies about saving money.

I was expecting to get my AC serviced and all that I got was someone who told me which AC cooled which part of my house and what temperature each vent had coming out of it. I was told that one of my AC’s was to small and I should get a bigger one. I was also told that of course my AC’s were working to hard and that I could REPLACE my AC units and lower my electric bill when my units are working just fine. I declined for him to go in the attic as all he had tried to do is sell me stuff. DO NOT buy into this we are doing a special on servicing your unit. Like I said there was no servicing, they pointed a laser at my vents and told me where each unit cools(which I already knew). Basically they are selling a lie, they are not servicing units they are trying to sell you a new unit.

One of my AC units went out Sunday. I called my go to guy Scott and told him we were maintaining pretty well on the one unit, maybe we could make it till Monday. No.... Scott came out within the hour himself to make sure we got back up and running! Where do you find that kind of service other than a local small business run by a family man?In addition to taking care of the units, Scott previously helped me with a troublesome warm master bedroom. He increased the size of the duct run, split to 2 registers and added a dedicated return duct. The cost was economical. Taking on the challenge and coming up with the solution is where the value is!Highly recommended

I first want to comment on the false tactics alleged by other reviewers that SMW uses to contact potential customers. I was called from a number clearly matched to SWM and there was no pressure; Joshua explained their products politely and carefully. He let ME ask the questions. I has a previous inspection completed 6 months ago and knew my HVAC unit was failing. As it happened, when Paul, the HVAC tech came to my home this time, I was prepared to need a new unit as mine was really old and not performing like it should. I did purchase a new unit and they took care of EVERYTHING...from hiring a crane to place the unit to the final stucco repairs in my attic. Fidel, Scott, Brian, Guillermo - other names I don't recall, were all professional, polite, and couldn't have done a better job. Let my say when I can be happy after incurring the costs a new HVAC unit, these guys are truly worth recommending.

SMW installed a complete Trane split system in our house at a very reasonable price. They were here first for a free seasonal inspection obtained from a home show. The tech did an excellent job on the inspection, and stated our current system seems to be operating properly. Having a background with Trane, and realizing the 10 year old system in our house was a inferior brand, we asked about a quote to replace it. They quoted a good price, but reiterated our current system was operating OK, and did not NEED to be replaced. We opted, for the future piece of mind, to proceed. The two gentlemen that installed the system were efficient, knowledgeable & courteous. We did solicit two other quotes, but considering price & professionalism, opted opted for SMW. It was the right decision.
Service technician was on time and very polite. He thoroughly checked out our heat pump, explained everything he was doing. I will use SMW in the future for HVAC needs.

I had a warranty through them for my HVAC unit and the compressor started to fail by summers end. They were unable to get a new compressor as the HVAC was 22 years old and not even properly installed by the home builder. The guys from SMW were fantastic in installing a new HVAC system and I am very pleased with an 18 SER Trane. It is quiet, and the air cleaner is truly terrific. They gave me an incredible deal on the system as well as financing. I love being able to program and adjust the unit with my smart phone. The installers and the owner and sales rep were very honest and truly customer service oriented. I have recommended this company to others.

Great company, the service tech Troy was honest and straightforward. Didn't push any unnecessary work.
Good response on an a/c system constantly running. Tech was at door in an hour. Diagnosed as low freon likely caused by a small leak. Sold me a sealer and 2# freon install. Checked for cost of materials on internet versus price charged and was surprised at extreme markup. Easyseal ($285 charged) Internet cost was $55-56.R-22 lb ($130/lb x 2 charged) Internet cost was $13/lb. Inclusive of some labor and it appears that their profit on parts/materials covers labor and diagnostics and then some. Hope it lasts.

They did “nothing”! They called me to come out for a “tune up” no tune up was completed. They looked at my system and told me what they thought was wrong with it and did not tip off my Freon as promised. Waste of time and money.

I would strongly recommend without reservation, Scott, Cody and the team of service/installation techs at SMW Refrigeration and Heating for all your A/C and heating needs. They were part of my 2015-2016 major home renovation/addition. SMW was involved in sizing, laying out, installing, and testing that it worked correctly, a totally new, 20 SEER HI Efficiency Heat Pump 7 Ton system in my home.This included: reviewing my blue prints, meeting with me to discuss my needs and reviewing and recommending thick foam insulation and energy star windows to reduce power costs, discussing zoning the system for better efficiency and comfort along with explaining in simple terms how the 20 SEER variable speed TRANE A/C units would work at different speed levels to ensure maximum comfort and efficiency. They have excellent techs who worked in concert with my general contractors renovation schedule to install the ducts very thoroughly. Basically I got a whole house new system from them which runs like a well oiled Mercedes.With this company you get a seasoned, honest, veteran installer/tech/troubleshooter with a super technical mechanical engineer, when put together, creates an unsurpassed leadership team that correctly manages their smart, clean, and polite techs, to provide a TRUE TEAM that gets the project done correctly, on budget, and on time. I was honestly so impressed, I had them install 4 more replacement Air Conditioner heat pumps at a rental complex I own.America is built on small business and SMW Refrigeration & Heating should be your go to A/C and heating company! They know our valley climate and sell the best, TRANE! I cannot even tell when mine is on, it is so QUIET.......Come see my 20 SEER TRANE system. They were my #1 sub contractor on my extensive, home renovation/remodel and I never worried about their work quality during the 7 month project.

Except for costing more money!!! The experience was painless. The gentleman, who I spoke with, was courteous & explained all aspects of the warranty in terms clearly & in language that I could easily understand.

Great company very safe wears mask and boot covers getting new ac unit tomorrowFast track to this 2-26-2020 my 5 stars went to 2 becasue of how I was just treated on the phone by a technician and they forgot to put our heatstrips in for winter and when our gas heater stopped working and tried the one on the ac still not working fast track to yesterday a technician came out and do the inspection come to find out the heat strips that where paid for where never intsalled and here today comes and no appointment no call no nothing a technician is at my door wanting install heat strips on the new ac unit so be very careful on what companys you pick for your ac the work is great but the people there are rude hope this helps whoever out on picking a better as company I definalty dont recommend
