Best Professional Plumbing Service in Arlington TX

We have used MRP a few times now. Chad and Michael are both very professional and so far, under-promise and over-deliver. We had a pipe repaired that 2 other plumbers said would require ripping up our mudroom tile. Chad completed the repair perfectly without damaging even one tile. At a subsequent visit, Michael replaced our aging water hose spigots and our hot water heater. He explained the options for repair vs. replacement in detail, and very patiently answered all of our questions. Carol is great for scheduling, and it is so easy to reach her and get an appointment made. Pricing is competitive and service is excellent.

Needed someone to come check out a toilet that wasn't flushing properly and a sink that was having draining issues. They charged $350 for the visit because it was after hours. My issues are that they did not look at the sink -my tenant was the only one home at the time and realized after the guy had left that he didn't look at it - she called them back and they said they would have to charge for another visit - despite the fact that the guy had only spent 25 minutes at my home and the rate was hourly. He also did not want to accept the coupon that is on their website because it wasn't printed. Lastly, when called about the guy returning to look at the sink Gary was argumentative and rude. I do not recommend them.

I had a backup overflow in my bathtub and toilet in both bathrooms. I also had a continuous water leak all over the floor leaking out to my bedroom. I called four different plumbing services and all were closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. Finally got ahold of KMP.-Stevie came out earlier than expected, on a Saturday night Thanksgiving weekend. He was very friendly, professional, and kept me informed the whole time he was there of what he was doing. Used his camera & sewer machine to see if there was blockage in my pipe going from my house to the city line. He tried everything he could to alleviate the problem. Thank you Stevie, and thank you KMP for having someone available!I was told the problem seems to be due to all the rain and shifting of the clay soil. It created a hump/change in the angle of my sewer line going out to the city line which caused backflow issue. He told me the sewer line from my house to the city line needed replacing and realigned so it would flow properly again. Service cost for today, $1,000.Estimate cost to dig up pipe and repair, just under $16,000. Stevie was excellent. The cost to now do the repair sucks !!!!!!! Who has $16,000 laying around in their bank account? Just venting. Service was very good. Stevie spent a lot of time outside in the cold and wet!Ray

Called in the AM and they had an estimate before noon! Jason was able to break down past touch-ups of my water heater; fully explaining the need to replace it.

Next day, Daryl, Chris, and Alex replaced my attic water heater in pretty rough conditions with Texas Heat. They were kind, quick, and professional.

They were also COVID-19 mindful/preventative and made sure I was comfortable.

Moved their schedule to come after dark, got here before they said they would, finished before they said they would, diagnosed and fixed the problem at the price they originally stated.

Big Bear has always been there for me when I needed them. From the beginning with the installation of a new ac unit, to having an issue on the 4th of July that required them to come out. They are fast with a response , efficient and very personable. Love this company!

THE BEST NEIGHBOR YOU COULD ASK FOR

Hi all, this will be a lengthy review but it is the least I could do for how much Roy has done for me when he had no obligation to.

We'll start this review from when the damage/failure you see in the pictures started flooding my walls in the corner of the house.

I turned off the water and immediately called my home warranty (the worst, you'll see later on) and requested service. They couldn't get anyone until 3 days later, but they said I can request an out-of-network contractor. One quick Google search later and I found Flat Rate Plumbing. I tell Roy over the phone what happened and he immediately told me what the problem most likely was and how much labor & parts would cost. That's what I immediately liked about Roy, he was honest and didn't try to be vague with me that I have encountered in the past with other businesses. True to his word, Roy came at the time he said he would the next morning. He even texted and called me before to let me know he was on his way. We chit chatted for a bit and he went to work, and at the end of it all, the cost came about to be what his estimate was on the phone. Note, he didn't do the brick work. My father in law did, as Roy was very honest over the phone prior that he only deals with the plumbing part of the work and not brick-work, He said that he would have broken the bricks apart and/or cut the drywall from the inside. But again, his honesty is what I appreciated.

From the pictures, you could see the before and after. A wonderful job but most importantly, Roy was someone you for sure had no regrets in paying for his top quality work and attitude.

Now comes the home warranty part....

Obviously they didn't want to reimburse me for Roy's work as they said the problem was the outside hose bib (lol the freaking faucet that barely costs $10 at Home Depot, google it). Because yes, I would love to pay $75 to have someone come out and replace the little $10 faucet for me. Anyways, they needed the invoice... I provided. They then said they needed a description of the problem on the invoice (which they didn't notify me before when I asked prior to the whole process of what I would need as to make the whole reimbursement as painless as possible). Another method was for the home warranty company to call the plumber and ask him directly. They said they called Roy but no one answered and couldn't continue with the process. I texted Roy and asked but Roy said he never received a call. I believe him. I then asked Roy if he could call the home warranty and go through the automated options. He did but was timed-out in the end.

Roy had no obligation whatsoever to stay in contact with me after he was paid for his work. I wouldn't have blamed him, you wouldn't have blamed him, no one would not have blamed him. Yet, Roy still stayed in contact with me and helped me when he can when I'm sure 90% of other contractors would have not bothered anymore past the payment transaction. He was very kind and supportive of me when he knew I was stressing out over the reimbursement issue.

Yet, on JULY 4th, YES A HOLIDAY. I did not expect a call from the home warranty company but they called and said they still needed Roy's description. I gave them Roy's personal number. 5 minutes later I called them back and asked if they called, they said they did and nobody answered. I called Roy on JULY 4TH, and you know what happens???.... Roy ANSWERS and bless this man, he called the home warranty and successfully got through and gave the description, He called me back and let me know that he did all he could. I of course, thank him and told him he was the best neighbor one could ask for. With that, I was finally able to have my reimbursement claim get started on.

If you read the review and events to the end, then you know how much work Roy did for me. Not just labor but I mean personally helping & supporting me with what I needed.

You will not regret hiring Roy Adams, an honest and the nicest man who will do what is right and who cares for his customers!
